For Period Pain "I recently started having bad period cramps in middle school. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen don’t really work that well for me. My nurse practitioner prescribed me 500 mg naproxen. It has worked really well. I basically feel no symptoms on my period. So glad I was given this medicine so I can live life normally and not be in severe pain on my period."

For Pain "I have severe chronic pain due to a car accident. I've tried every med to curb the pain. I like this medicine, the only drawback was that it wasn't long-lasting, and I wish I could take it more than once a day."

For Gout, Acute "With my first episode with gout, I went to urgent care and was given a prescription. I continued to suffer for about a week. I wondered if the drug did anything. I had my second two nights ago when I was in Taiwan, the night before my flight. I immediately popped 4 Aleve. In the morning, I took 4 more. My pain and swelling were completely relieved by the time I landed, and I've been 100% ever since with no additional medications. It was a miracle."

For Period Pain "I have had the worst period pain ever, accompanied by heavy flow and clots that I was changing my sanitary pads every 2 hours and sometimes even 45 minutes. The pain was so bad that I could barely walk or do anything. Lying in bed didn’t even help. Aleve has been a lifesaver. It helps in reducing the pain so quickly, and I am able to at least sit on my bed without having to feel that I am going to faint."

For Sciatica "I had to quit using due to swelling in my right leg and feet (edema). Went away several days after discontinuation of use. Went back on two more times but the same problem occurred again. I now alternate ibuprofen with acetaminophen with no side effects except occasional constipation."

For Period Pain "Swelling, tingling feeling on my tongue, and hives shortly after taking this product. I remember taking it for period pain in middle school and had little issues, now I must stay completely away from it."

For Back Pain "I took Aleve for the first time for two weeks on and off. I took one pill as per package instructions. It did work on my back pain, but soon I started having a side effect. It wasn't something I connected to Aleve at first because I'd taken Advil in the past with no problems. My stomach began to hurt. By the second week, it was noticeably worse. I couldn't sleep because of the pain. Soon, it spread to my chest, which scared me enough to make a trip to the ER. The ER doctor said it wasn't a heart attack. But he did mention Aleve as the possible culprit. When I went online, I saw many others dealing with the same side effect. I was in pain for another week. It finally started to subside. But I'll be billed for whatever copayments I owe for the ER visit. Who do I bill for the emotional trauma? I do not believe this medication should be sold over the counter."

For Back Pain "I have occasional recurring back pain, usually when I've slept on the couch instead of the bed. Pain so severe I can't stand or sit up. The first time I took Aleve, it was great, pain was gone in 30 minutes. The latest episode, it did virtually nothing, but then again neither did Diazepam nor ibuprofen with codeine. After about 48 hours, I finally was able to stand up, don't know if it was the painkillers or not."

For Pain "I have never taken Aleve before. Dr. recommended for my trigger finger (inflammation), it did help. Took the round blue pill, 220 mg, one after dinner. 4 tablets in four days. I’m stopping it today as I got a sore throat out of the blue. Could it be a reaction? I’m pretty healthy and I know taking medications is not my forte. Still, I know it did help."

For Back Pain "Aleve back and muscle pills are garbage, they don't work. Purchased the product twice, and both times they did nothing, even after taking 3. Both times, straight garbage. Should discontinue product. Rip-off with a hyped-up name."

For Osteoarthritis "Dear Aleve, Your packaging is a total fail. I had to take the pliers to the bottle to get into it (it's very accommodating now). Then I had to take my contacts out and hunt for some reading glasses to see how many pills to take for a dose. The newly swallowed pills have not yet worked on the pain, so I have no way of deciding - at this point - if your product is worth the bother."

For Gout, Acute "Worked very well. Felt the pain intensifying, got the Aleve a few hours later, started with 2 tablets then 1 every 8 hours. Will do this for a few days. Very rapid relief of Gout big toe pain."
