Mometasone topical for Eczema "Literally at the end of my tether with scalp eczema. Was prescribed Elocon scalp lotion by my dermatologist. After one day, scalp so much better; itching has gone, weeping and stickiness have gone. Have used the Elocon ointment on eczema on my body and found this to be equally effective. Excellent results."

Mometasone topical for Eczema "I was getting angry, itchy, red patches on my cheeks that went scaly and looked awful. Mindful of the need to be very cautious with such a steroid medication on the face, I used the thinnest, tiniest amount just on the red areas. I applied it first late evening. When I got up in the morning, I was astonished and delighted to see a 90% improvement, redness virtually gone and no itching. This stuff is potent and highly effective. 24 - 36 hours should be enough to completely solve my issue. Very happy."

For Dermatitis "I went to the dermatologist a year ago for dry patches around my mouth, and he gave me a prescription for mometasone ointment to apply for 2 weeks. I did as he told me, and the patches were gone for a few weeks. But after 1-2 months, the same area started getting dry and itchy. I used moisturizers, but nothing seemed to work. It started getting red, itchy, and burning. I did online research for a few months and found out that I was having topical steroid withdrawal. Before using the topical steroids, I was able to cover the dry patches with Vaseline or moisturizers, but now it does not go away, whatever I do. The area around my mouth is red, itchy, and burning. I just want to warn all the people. Do not use topical steroids on your face because the skin on your face, especially around your mouth, is very sensitive. The facial skin will get worse, red, and itchy, and you will have to deal with it for more than a year to get your normal skin back!!"

Mometasone topical for Dermatitis "I have used Elocon for several years for frequent contact dermatitis on my hands, between my fingers and under rings, behind my knees, and for poison ivy or sumac. It relieves itching and redness very quickly, and you only need a very small amount - apply sparingly. Episodes are over in about three days in my experience. I keep it in the house at all times when flare-ups occur."

Mometasone topical for Eczema "I tried all the creams the doctors could give us for my little boy, and only Elocon has worked. He is a very happy boy, gone from itching, bleeding, crying in pain as a baby to a normal, happy school boy."

Mometasone topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I’ve suffered from atopic dermatitis and eczema my entire life. It used to be on my feet, which was awful. It moved to behind my knees and elbows. Now, I only get eruptions on my hands/wrists. I have tried so many creams, moisturizers, potions, and lotions over my 40 years of life, but nothing works as amazingly as Elocon!! I found that if I moisturize my hands with Gene's Vitamin E Creme first (available at Sam's Club) and let that soak in for an hour, then apply Elocon, it’s the money right there. Within a day, my flare-up looks 75% better, within 2 days, it’s easy to stop treatment... it’s almost entirely cleared up. You really need that 3rd day of Elocon-that’s when it clears up completely and doesn’t come back for a while. Also amazed how, in spite of heavy itching, bleeding, oozing, big cracks in skin, and scabs, sometimes infections on my hands, I never have a scar. Elocon for the win!!"

Mometasone topical for Psoriasis "My doctor prescribed Elocon lotion for my flaky, itchy scalp. It does work well, and my hair is much cleaner with no itching. But still some small flaking, but nothing major. Definitely an improvement."

Mometasone topical "I have had a skin problem on the back of my hands for about 12 years. A red itching under the skin followed by the affected area of skin peeling. This is very unsightly. I think it was caused by handling blood and bone while working in a garden nursery. Elocon appears to have cured this after one week of treatment. I hope it is permanent."

For Atopic Dermatitis "After 6 months of trying 'everything,' including OTC steroids for a pernicious itchy rash on my neck and face, I got a tube of mometasone. The cream totally eliminated the scaly, bumpy, red, itching, and burning in 36 hours (after 1 application). I used a 'thin film' as recommended once a day for a week, and that has solved this agonizing problem. I call it miraculous and couldn't be more satisfied. Restores my faith in medication! Note that it says NOT to use for extended periods."

For Eczema "Mometasone is a life-changer. Before this medication, I was constantly feeling like ants were crawling on my scalp, and I had loads of scabs from the itching. The itching would be so bad I’d have to take showers mid-day to relieve the itch. This medication eliminated that itch almost immediately. I put a few drops on my scalp right after a shower, and I don’t notice itching anymore. The scabs mainly went away in the 1st week and don’t seem to be returning. Wish I’d started this med sooner!"
