For Abortion "First off, let me say that after reading these reviews, it had me so freaking scared of taking misoprostol, thinking I was going to have a bad experience, but thank goodness I had a good experience with this. I took the first pill at the clinic after I went to eat at Denny's. No side effects other than feeling a little nauseous. Nothing major, though. The next day at 4:30 pm, I took two 200 mg of ibuprofen, then at 5 pm, I took the misoprostol. I put four into my mouth, two on each side. It had to dissolve for an hour between my gums and cheeks, and shortly after, I started feeling crampy, nothing major at all. It is now 9:25 pm, and the only symptoms I've got were mild cramping and diarrhea, that's it! So please, if you came here like me, looking for reviews, as this was my first abortion ever, don't get all scared and freaking out like me because everyone is different, and good luck to you!"

For Abortion "I was exactly 6 weeks pregnant. I took mifepristone the day before as directed. 24 hours later, I had some ibuprofen, and an hour later, I took the first 4 Misoprostol between my gum and cheek. I was extremely worried as this way can cause vomiting, but I wasn't sick at all. I started to bleed shortly afterwards. I waited for 3 hours to take the final 2 Misoprostol, and in that time, very little to no cramping at that point. I managed to drop off to sleep in front of the TV and woke up having almost soaked through a pad. I went to the toilet and had passed the sac in my underwear. I basically slept through the final stage. I was in very little pain and didn't feel anything much stronger than period aches. If anything, I got worse cramps after the pregnancy had passed, so I took the codeine. It wasn't traumatic at all. I didn't have any side effects, not even nausea and diarrhea, which are the common ones."

For Abortion "Yesterday, I took the first pill at the clinic. This morning, I woke up and took my Tylenol and Anaprox (naproxen). Beforehand, I had put the 4 tablets between my cheeks for 30 minutes and then swallowed them. About 2 minutes later, I threw them up (they make you nauseous and it's totally normal). I started bleeding almost instantly, and the cramping started. I had really bad shakes and cold sweats for the first two hours. The cramping for me is still going on, and it’s been 6 hours since. I bled through 3 pads and had to change my clothes completely. I still have clots coming out. Hoping that soon it will start to slow down. I am taking another Anaprox to help with the pain. All people are different, but this is my experience today as I am having an abortion."

For Abortion "I’m leaving this review because prior to my abortion, I sat here scaring myself for several days for nothing. I got my pills online because any Planned Parenthood or clinics in my area wanted $600 with financial aid. Aid access allows you to pay whatever you can, in my case $35. I took the first pill and I was nauseous with a little bit of a backache but okay. I could do whatever I needed to do. Took the second 4 pills 24 hours later. I did it at night over the weekend in case it was bad like some of these wild reviews. Within an hour or so of taking the second medication, I started bleeding and passing a few little clots but nothing major, and my pain was hardly any. I took 600 mg of ibuprofen about an hour before, but that is it. I was comfortable enough to fall asleep. I filled up my pad throughout the night and got up the next morning and passed one or two more little clots with some blood in the toilet the next morning. I was between 6-7 weeks."

For Abortion "I was so stressed beforehand, having major anxiety attacks, etc. But it all went so smoothly! I felt sick after the first pill, but I think that was mainly anxiety. After I finally worked up the courage to take misoprostol (36 hours later), I dissolved the four pills and waited. I felt cramps 30 minutes later, they were bad but completely manageable. I took codeine, and after about 30 minutes, the cramps became very mild. Bleeding lasted for 7 hours, then calmed down a lot. Overall, it was not as traumatizing as I thought it would be. If you are stressed, just take your pain relievers and trust that you will be totally fine. And this is coming from someone with a low pain tolerance and major anxiety!"

For Abortion "POSITIVE REVIEW! (I was 6 WEEKS) Had the Mifepristone Tue at 5:30 pm, Wed I felt nauseous/dizzy, nothing major. On Thurs, before I started the second part of the treatment, I took 2x Paracetamol, 2x Ibuprofen, 1x anti-sickness, then the Misoprostol at 10:15 am vaginally (I was told that if you take the treatment this way, you're less likely to vomit/have diarrhea) cramps started, so I went to bed with a hot water bottle, they were getting stronger but totally bearable. Bleeding didn’t start for another 3 hours. At 2:30 pm, I inserted 2 more Misoprostol into my vagina, and not long after, I passed clots/the pregnancy. The cramps have now let up, and my symptoms are already going, this took 7 hours to complete. I’ve had worse periods than this! I didn’t experience any diarrhea/sickness/intense pain. My advice? PLEASE STOP WORRYING, keep up with pain relief, and own a hot water bottle. I’m such an anxious person, but I worked myself up for nothing, you’ve got this girl! Sending love ❤️"

For Abortion "I took the first pill in the office of Planned Parenthood. Had mild pressure in my lower stomach for hours. The next day, which was 24 hours, I put the last four pills in my mouth. Within minutes, pain hit me that was worse than cramps. The pain meds barely worked, the only thing that saved me was the nausea medicine, which put me to sleep. Here it is day 2, and I am having severe cramps because the ibuprofen isn’t working. I have never felt contractions, but I definitely feel like that’s what I’m having. If the pain doesn’t ease up by tomorrow, I’m going to the ER! Needless to say, my experience has been horrible, and I pray whoever is reading this doesn’t experience this at all. By the way, the heating pad worked yesterday, but today it’s a no!"

For Abortion "Before I started my experience, I read these reviews and was absolutely petrified, as was my partner. I really wanted to share my experience as it was nothing as horrific as we pictured. Took step 1 Tuesday night at 9 pm and had cramping a few hours later that got a bit worse overnight. Thought to myself, great, if this is just step 1, what am I in for? Took step 2 at 9 am Thursday morning and let them dissolve, then swallowed what was left after 30 mins. Within half an hour, I started bleeding. No cramping to speak of. Went to the toilet and passed a few clots. Laid down, and 5 mins later, felt like I had to go to the toilet again, that's when I passed the pregnancy. Minimal small clots since and bleeding just as a heavy period. I did take the pain medication prior to step 2 and nausea tablets prior to both. Physically, I am in no pain and so, so relieved that it went smoothly. Mentally, it is hard. It helped so much to have a loving, supportive person by my side. I hope this helps x."

For Abortion "My gf started the procedure with 3 pills of misoprostol (600 m) (1 sublingual and 2 vaginal) at 12:15 pm. At around 3 pm, she started having the first cramps. At 4 pm, she had the first blood loss. At 4:30, the second one. Afterwards, the pain became unbearable for her (from 4:30 pm until 6 pm), and she had several blood losses. She didn't use any pain meds, and she suffered from diarrhea and nausea too. We decided to see the doctor, as we were worried for her safety, whom we met at 7 pm. He confirmed that the abort was complete and he gave her some injections for pain and nausea. Now she feels better, and she mentioned those hours as the most painful of her life. Make sure to have someone at your side while using this procedure and make sure to have a doctor to contact in case of emergency."

For Abortion "I took the first pill at the doctor's office and four under my tongue the next day. I was so scared I got a heating pad, drank lots of fluids, and lit a candle to make it as comfortable as possible. After two hours, I needed to use the bathroom. I had bad diarrhea, but no blood. I felt nauseous, so I laid back down. I had cramping, later I felt the need to use the bathroom again. This time there was blood and some clotting. Very minimal. The worst part was the diarrhea. I was very early in my pregnancy, only seven days late when I took the abortion pill. Having an abortion is a hard decision. Remember that you can always have a baby when you are ready, and the earlier you take care of it if you don’t want one, the easier it will go. It’s nice to think about my daughter having a sibling, but I know I’m not ready for that. The experience wasn’t traumatic. The worst part was making the decision because I knew ultimately it was up to me. As women, we carry this burden, so prepare for the worst but think good thoughts."

For Abortion "The first pill I took at the doctor's had me up all night, literally throwing up stomach acid, and this was after throwing up my whole meal. I couldn’t keep down water nor my nausea medication. Again, this went on from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. I then took the four pills orally (let sit in my mouth for 30 minutes) and took ibuprofen and two nausea pills, waited 30 minutes, then took two hydrocodones and then waited another 30 for the oral. I fell asleep and it passed. Woke up still bleeding, light cramping!"

For Abortion "I was 6w5d. Took 1st pill @ 1:30 pm on Fri. Doc told me to take the 2nd set of pills @ 6 pm Sat, but I felt more comfortable if I did it @ bedtime, so I can be relaxed. I had 24-48 hrs to do it. Started bleeding @ 1 pm on Sat, before I took the 2nd pills, but it was light. Nausea, but I was fine. I had 1 ibuprofen/codeine at 8:48 pm with an apple. 1 hr later, I took the 4 pills. Had regular cramps. 30 min later @ 10:27 pm, I washed the rest of the pieces down with water and had 1 regular ibuprofen with milk. Cramps got a little worse, but nothing I couldn’t handle! @ 11:27 pm, I passed a bunch of clots, and it was like magic! My cramps and nausea went away. I also never had diarrhea, and I never threw up. I’m still currently bleeding heavy @ 12 am, but it just feels like a regular period. Heating pad is your BFF! I had a sheet of Thermacare and a regular one, so I had double the heat, and it worked like a gem. If you stay relaxed all day, prepare properly, and take the pain meds 1 hr before, you’ll be just fine."

For Abortion "Ladies, I want to share my personal experience because I read such bad reviews on this drug, and it scared the living crap out of me. I was 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. I took the one pill called mifepristone in front of the doctor, then went home. This pill actually made me feel more sick than the actual abortion pill. Just some nausea, but nothing too bad. The next morning, I took the four pills of misoprostol on the side of my cheeks and let them dissolve, then swallowed whatever was left. I felt some cramps within 40 mins, but nothing crazy. The medicine made me tired, so I fell asleep for a little over an hour. I woke up, went on the toilet, and passed four blood clots and a clot that looked like some blood with tissue. I knew it was the fetus. I had no pain at all. Throughout the day, I had some mild cramping on and off, and that was it. I actually was in shock at how simple and painless the whole process was. Everyone is different, though, but for cramps, I just took some Advil, and it worked fine for me!!"

For Abortion "I unfortunately had to go through a medical abortion on 2 occasions. The first time I was 6 weeks exactly, I had been very scared after reading some scary reviews, but the experience for me was absolutely fine, and I didn't get bad pain or any of the other common side effects. The second time I was exactly 5 weeks, and again it was absolutely fine that time too. I did notice that the bleeding was heavier with my 6-week abortion than at 5 weeks. With the 6-week abortion, I passed a recognizable sac, but nothing recognizable with the one at 5 weeks. I felt a little sick initially after taking misoprostol, but this soon passed. I know everyone's experience will be different, but not everyone has a really bad time. I did take 2 ginger root tablets 30 mins beforehand to help with nausea, so that probably helped."

For Abortion "As in many others mentioned, I was very fearful and anxious about taking this medication due to horror stories online. On day 1, I took the first pill at the clinic. They repeated that there is no turning back at this point. No side effects at all. After 24 hours, I took the 4 pills by putting them in my cheeks, then swallowed the rest. I was concerned as my medication did not really melt. I began to experience heavier cramping than periods. Then the cramping disappeared for 1 hour. I got concerned as no bleeding started. 2 hours in, the cramping returned and intensified. I went to the bathroom, the bleeding had started but not heavily. Suddenly, the nausea worsened, and I threw up repeatedly for 10 minutes. The pain intensified to 10/10 with what seemed to be contractions for 1 hour. I passed a few large clots and liquid, then pain subsided after this, but it lasted for one hour. The bleeding was quite strong afterwards, which was to be expected. More painful than expected, but no regrets at all."

For Abortion "I just wanted to share another positive type of experience to ease some people’s minds because after I read the reviews, I was quite literally traumatized to even bring myself to take the misoprostol dosage. I am still currently going through the misoprostol side effects as I took them this morning, but I was 5 weeks along when I decided I no longer wanted to continue my pregnancy. I was given the first pill yesterday (11:30 am) and the 4 misoprostol pills to take 24 hours later. I only had light cramping and some nausea with the first pill. Fast forward to today at 10:30 am, I took 1000 mg of ibuprofen and 50 mg of Gravol (I’ve had a medical abortion before and I threw up from the pills last time, so my doctor suggested this). 30 minutes later, I administered the 4 pills orally and waited another half an hour. The first hour after I had cramping but no bleeding. It is now almost 3 hours in, and I have some light bleeding with some painful (almost like a very bad period) cramps."

For Abortion "I wanted to leave a review to help some other women out there as I was terrified to take this medication. I saw the reviews, and my anxiety was through the roof. I was almost in tears inserting the pills. My doctor had me take the first pill orally, then insert the other four vaginally 48 hours later. After taking the first pill, it was only mild cramps and spotting. Then, before the second dose, I took 800 mg of ibuprofen about an hour before (Tylenol does nothing for me) and waited. I only experienced mild cramps, no nausea, and the bleeding started about 10 hours later. It just felt like big gushes of blood coming out, but no pain. Now I’m about 10 days in and still spotting, but feeling relief. The truth is, some women do have terrible experiences, but everyone’s body is different. I think the majority of women don’t have a horror story, but be prepared just in case. You’ll get through this. Not everyone’s experience is the same."

For Abortion "I am 23 years old, and I was terrified to go through this process. I was so anxious, I was throwing up a few days prior because of the anxiety I had. I was a little over 6 weeks pregnant. I took the first pill that stops the growth on a Tuesday around 5:30 pm. The following day, I took 800 mg of ibuprofen for the pain and 4 mg of Zofran for the nausea 30 min before taking the misoprostol pills. After the 30 min, I stuck two pills on each side of my cheeks and waited another 30 min before washing them down, I felt totally fine the whole 30 min. By this time, it was around 6:15 pm, and I was just trying to stay calm and prepare myself for the worst. Please don’t freak yourself out, please. I know every person is different, and your body will react differently than mine, but I only had pretty severe cramps when I was passing the products of the pregnancy. Otherwise, I watched a movie, drank a ton of liquids, had a heating pad, and just tried to relax. I had my mom and partner there helping me through it."

For Abortion "Read these comments for hours plus heard horror stories from friends saying terrified would have been an understatement. Took first pill 7/26 around 3:15 pm, didn’t feel anything, went about my day. Was the next day I was scared about, dreaded every hour leading up to it. Took my ibuprofen and nausea medicine an hour before, and at 7/27 I took the 4 pills in my cheeks, as they were dissolving, I did feel slight pressure in my uterus, then I just laid down and waited for the worst. Four hours in, all I can say is I’ve had period cramps worse than this, overall pain was a 5/10. After laying down for a while, I went to the restroom where I expelled 3 clots and just relaxed, watched TV, spoke on the phone, and went to bed. Four days later, still bleeding, little to no cramps. Mild clots. We’ll see if everything worked on my two-week check-up, but overall it’s true when they say don’t believe all the horror stories."

For Abortion "The first was my choice. I was 29 and alone, in the comfort of my own apartment. I was 5 weeks. I took a pill at the doctor’s that was supposed to open my cervix. Then they sent me home with Misoprostol, anti-nausea meds, and some Tylenol with codeine. I inserted the Misoprostol vaginally as I was told. I went to lie down and take a nap and was woken up by intense cramping and back pain. Imagine the worst period of your life, times five. The cramping was that bad for me, I’m not going to sugarcoat it. I couldn’t do much besides lay down, close my eyes, and put on the most relaxing music I could think of. I knew when the product of pregnancy came out. It was alarming to see, but to my relief, that was the end. My second experience was a year later, at 30. It was the result of a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks. This was easier, I’m not sure if it was because the product of pregnancy was already dead, but it was the same but less pain with more nausea and chills."

For Labor Induction "I was prescribed the drug to assist with a failed miscarriage at 6 weeks instead of a D&C. I was discharged and told it would be just like a period, with no information leaflet on side effects or what to expect. I was in for a shock. After taking the 4 pills at once orally, as directed at 11 a.m., within 30 minutes, I was cramping like a bad period. By 12:30 p.m., I was in agony, so I took Panadeine Forte for pain, which didn’t help at all. By 1 p.m., I was extremely nauseous, faint, and in excruciating pain. I was crippled, lying on the floor of the shower, unsure if I was going to vomit or pass out, and wanted the heat from the shower to help with the pain. Honestly, I thought I was going to die, the pain was relentless, with what felt like massive waves of contractions less than a minute apart, with no relief. I was unable to call for assistance as I couldn’t get up off the floor for 2 hours. I eventually was able to crawl to the phone and was taken by ambulance to the emergency department for pain management."

For Abortion "I am not sure if the drug worked yet. The side effects were not bad. The first hour and a half were usual period cramps. Then I started to have really intense cramps, vomiting, and chills. The one thing that helped me a lot was sitting in a warm bath. I’m not sure if it’s helpful at all, but I found it very relieving of the pain and much easier to pass the clots. I took gravel an hour afterward, and it helped with the nausea. Overall, I would definitely recommend the pill to someone who can handle pain and blood. I have been using a heating pad most of the time, and it helps so much. I don’t know how I would have handled everything without it. My best recommendation would be to sit on the toilet and let as many clots pass in the first hour, and then place a heating pad over your stomach until the pain subsides. The severe pain lasted one hour for me, and I’m feeling a lot better now. I took two T3s two and a half hours before I dissolved the pills in my mouth."

For Abortion "Unlike many women on here, I very much wanted my pregnancy, but sadly I had a missed miscarriage at nine weeks and one day. I took four pills that went in my vagina and also took ibuprofen as well. I went to sleep and woke up maybe 30 to 45 minutes later in extreme pain! I was only in pain when I was passing large clots. It honestly was not that bad. I was a little bit nauseous, and I also had diarrhea."

For Abortion "I found out I was pregnant at 4/5 weeks since the last period, so really 2/3 weeks since fertilization, and had blood tests and ultrasounds and was told I had to wait until I was a bit further along so they could make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus. Then I redid the ultrasound, got the okay, and went to the doctor and got prescribed the two-step abortion pack. Took the first pill and felt nauseous and had trapped gas, quite uncomfortable. Then, 36 hours later, took the second 4 misoprostol pills by dissolving them in my cheeks. I heard this is the best way. My cramps started quite quickly but were mostly due to trapped gas. Then I had really bad diarrhea for like 8 hours, passed the clots very quickly, then the symptoms went away. Craved fruits only and had a bit of a fever, but not for long. Didn’t have to take any medication for pain or nausea! Was super manageable and nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. The worst part about everything was getting blood tests. I hate those! Oh, and pooping myself...."

For Abortion "I was around 6 weeks. Took the first pill at the clinic, felt nothing after the first pill. The next morning at the same time (10 am) I put the four other pills in my cheeks to let dissolve for 30 minutes. I immediately felt heavy cramping and bled about 45 minutes after. Heavy cramping, nausea, sweating, shaking, and dizziness for about 2 hours. Felt like my body was forcing it to be pushed out. Tried to sleep, cramping/sweating continued till about 7 pm, and then the cramping lightened but still continued. Was not able to eat all day without throwing up! Did not bleed crazy amounts like I read on other reviews. You definitely need 800 mg ibuprofen and a heating pad. Very painful experience."
