For Abortion "I thought I would share my experience! I took my first 4 tablets vaginally yesterday at 12pm, had some light cramping and a little nausea but nothing else. Took another 2 at 4pm vaginally.. again, apart from cramping, nothing major! Started getting chills and fever that lasted about 3 hours but was bearable. Today I have woken up, still no bleeding! Ended up in A&E as I felt it was not working and am now being sent for an emergency scan tomorrow morning with potential of an operation :( I was only 5 weeks I’m so scared and confused. I feel a little dizzy today and lethargic but more anxious over the fact it’s been 29 hours and I still have not bled! Hope you guys have a better experience xo"

For Abortion "The baby's heart stopped beating around 9 weeks (measured 6 weeks 2 days). I decided to go for medication versus D&C. I woke up at 5:30am and took nausea medicine, 5 mg oxycodone, and 800 mg ibuprofen. I had a light breakfast, and 30 minutes later, I inserted the medication vaginally. I was able to fall back to sleep. Cramps started first, and 30 minutes later, the bleeding began. From 10:30 to 11:30am, I’d say my pain was a 6/10. It wasn’t fun, but it was manageable. I took the next dose of pain relievers and was able to fall back asleep until 1pm. I used the restroom and passed the sac. The cramping reduced down immediately after. I’m in little to no pain now, just bleeding a lot. I’ve been taking it easy all day. So, I definitely recommend taking it in the morning on a day you can spend just laying around. I had no nausea, no diarrhea, no chills, no fever. It honestly wasn’t half as bad as I hyped myself up to believe it would be! You’ve got this, ladies!"

For Abortion "I guess everyone's experience is totally different. I took Misoprostol for abortion 2 days ago, and so far, the experience has been bearable. NO PAIN AT ALL!! On Nov 5th, I placed 2 Misoprostol tablets under my tongue and let them dissolve, and 4 more into my vagina shortly after. (I was a little over 6 weeks pregnant.) Nothing happened immediately besides some severe chills about an hour after, and the tablets did make my tongue tingle a little. The chills continued for about 3 hours off and on with some diarrhea. After I passed the stools, I went to pee, and some clots came out with some blood immediately (NO PAIN). I went back to bed. About 3 hours later, a few more clots and blood but no heavy bleeding. On day 2, the bleeding is very minimal and still NO intense pain... a little cramp... almost unnoticeable, and that's it. Please don't let the reviews scare you! For me, it is not that bad!"

For Abortion "I was just over 7 weeks. I was instructed to take 2x paracetamol/codeine, 2x ibuprofen 1 hr prior. At 8:30 pm I put 4 in my mouth. After 30 minutes, I swallowed half that was left with water but spewed them up, so unsure whether it will work. I could still feel my back pain. I prayed to God to be kind to me. About 10 mins later, the chills stopped and I can feel blood coming out, so I went to the toilet to see, and a fair bit of blood, and then maybe 3 blood clots fell out. I thought it’s actually working! I laid back down, and an hour later felt the same thing, more blood and clots came out. I had no cramps, no diarrhea, no pain. My stomach felt no different to when you're on your period. It’s been 24 hours now, and bleeding has virtually stopped, it’s just like I have a light period now. Please don’t be afraid after hearing these horror stories, I’m sharing this so you know that you may be quietly surprised. God Bless :)"

For Abortion "This is my first and hopefully last. I took this pill at 5 weeks pregnant. I took the first pill (Mifeprex) at 6:45 pm on a Wednesday. At 6:30 pm, Thursday, I took 800 mg of ibuprofen and an anti-nausea med. At 7 pm, I put the 4 pills underneath my tongue, in 10 minutes, I began feeling strong contractions and chills. By 8 pm, I fell asleep because the medication made me sleepy and a little dizzy. By 9:15 pm, I woke up to a call that lasted for about 1 minute, and then I realized that the contractions had reduced significantly, but I still had the chills. I decided to go use the bathroom, and that was when I passed the tissue. I went back to sleep and was able to get 7 hours of sleep. I woke the next morning with only mild bleeding and was able to go about my daily routine. I read the reviews here and was very scared. Everyone is different. Good luck."

For Abortion "I was 9 weeks and 2 days. I received the first pill at the clinic Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. I had to wait 24 hours to do the second set of pills, which was Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. I put 4 of the pills under my tongue, let it dissolve for 30 mins, then drank water to swallow what was left over. As 2 mins in, I started to get heavy cramping, but it lasted for 10 mins. Worst 10 mins pain of my life. Now, different people have different pain levels. I had my mom by my side the entire time. I am still in the process, I don’t feel any more cramps, it’s just light cramps right now. I’m bleeding, and I had diarrhea, which lasted about 3 mins, that’s when I saw blood. But it is good to have someone by your side. The only symptoms I had were stomach cramps, and I had chills, which was I was very cold. It’s been 2 hours, it’s 3:20 p.m. right now, but don’t get scared by the reviews, everybody’s body is different. Good luck, guys!!"

For Abortion "My abortion was very hard but over quickly, to my surprise. At 5 weeks, I took the mifepristone, felt only a little dizzy and weird. 24 hours later, I took misoprostol vaginally and 2 paracetamol, 2 ibuprofen, and within half an hour to an hour, I began getting extreme cramps, then bad diarrhea, which made me feel like I was going to pass out. 1 hour in, the pain was on another level, my whole body was shaking from the shock. I was hot but had chills. I was bleeding, and after 30 minutes of this, I felt relief instantly, which I assumed meant I passed the pregnancy. After that, I was able to eat a little bit and the cramps wore off a lot and just lingered, but nothing compared to those 2 hours of absolute pain. I’m allergic to codeine, which is a stronger painkiller they gave me. If I was able to take something stronger, I would have dealt with the pain better, so keep that in mind. Make sure you don’t do it alone and have someone there for you through it."

For Abortion "I took the normal single dose of misoprostol at the clinic. The next evening, I put the 4 pills in my cheeks. Roughly 15 minutes in, I had painful cramping. It was like severe period cramps, at first constant, then in waves of every few minutes or so over 45 minutes to an hour. Sitting on the toilet helped, and I had some initial bleeding. After, the cramps ceased for roughly 45 minutes. Then I had major cramping beginning in my stomach similar to gas pains. What happened next was the absolute most insane and explosive diarrhea I have ever had. Shocked that the toilet didn’t split in two. During the episode, I got chills and nearly lost my breath. If you feel gas pains, just sit in the bathroom or you WILL NOT make it to the toilet. I had major bleeding during this, but after, no more diarrhea and mild cramps continued into the night."

For Abortion "I read a lot of the reviews on here… and they made me very nervous to take these pills… so I thought I’d jump on and tell my experience. I was about 6 weeks pregnant. Took the first pill as directed… no side effects from the first pill. Took the second step (4 pills in cheeks of mouth for 30 mins) 24 hours after. 30 minutes went by and started to cramp mildly, not painful at all. Another 30 minutes went and started to bleed a bit with still mild cramping. I did experience the chills and felt nauseous at this point. I laid down with mild cramping, bleeding, and chills. At about the 2nd hour into things, I passed a clot about the size of a grape. I felt instant relief. After, I did experience diarrhea and mild cramping for the next 6 hours, but the next day I felt completely better with mild bleeding like a period. I’m hoping this review will help others, as the pain was very temporary! You got this!!"

For Cervical Ripening "Unfortunately, I was one of the people with extreme side effects. I do not usually experience much cramping or discomfort when I get my period, but I have had mild cramps before. The cramping I had with this pill was nearly unbearable. I inserted one pill vaginally just before bed, as I was instructed to do for my IUD insertion the next day. I woke up an hour after falling asleep with EXTREME abdominal pain, nausea, and chills so bad I ended up laying in bed with two fleece blankets, a sweater, and my regular comforter. I did bleed as well, mildly at first, but then clotting, and then back to mild. It has now been approximately 12 hours, and although I am still experiencing pain and cramping, it's much more akin to 'regular' period cramps at this point. I was supposed to insert a second pill the morning of the procedure, but called my gyno, and they advised me not to do so. This pill seems so incredibly unnecessary for an IUD insertion."

For Cervical Ripening "I had to take this medication for a biopsy and ended up in the hospital. I woke up in the middle of the night vomiting. I couldn't stop vomiting. It was horrible. I started to have chills and sweats, which is when I called the ambulance, being that I live alone. I'm still a little off several days later. Now I have to be tested for COVID because I'm wondering if I caught it when I went to the hospital. Horrible experience."

For Abortion "The misoprostol medicine does work. I kept hearing that the pain associated with this drug felt like period cramps. Hell no! I literally was rocking and moaning in pain for at least 2 hours, and then it calmed down. I took the medicine orally, and prior to that, I took ibuprofen for pain. The ibuprofen did not work... and I have a high pain tolerance. I’m not trying to scare you, and it’s true everybody’s body will respond differently, but the pain I felt was indescribable... I couldn’t even stand... all I could do was rock and moan. I was early too... 5 weeks... so I was expecting minimal pain... yeah right. I also got diarrhea and the chills pretty bad. When I felt the “plop,” I knew it was over... but even as I write this, I’m still bleeding and cramping... never again."

For Abortion "My experience with misoprostol was awful. I took the first pill on day one, and I was okay - I didn't feel anything major. After exactly 24 hours, I took the next four pills. After about 15 minutes after the pills dissolved, I started feeling some mild cramps straight away. After that, I had the chills, I was very cold and shivering like crazy. My hands and feet started to turn blue. That's when I started panicking. I was shivering for about 30 minutes, then started feeling sharp cramps, and the pain was another level. I went to the bathroom, and that is when I was sick and literally had to lie down on the bathroom floor. After three hours of this, I took the last two pills. After about 30 minutes of doing that, the pain started. I rushed to the toilet, and a lot of blood and clots came out. Then I felt something like a little ball slide down. I was being very sick at the same time - imagine having liquids coming out from the top and bottom. I feel so relieved that it's done, and I have no regrets. I would advise not to try to do this on your own and also have some pain relievers before you start."

For Cervical Ripening "Took four, two each at two different times prior to evacuation of uterus for missed miscarriage. First lot came with mild cramps that were managed from breathing exercises. An hour after taking the second lot was a different story. Unbearable cramps, sweating, chills, loss of hearing, dizziness; then made worse from Buprenorphine given to me for pain. Dropped in blood pressure to 75/45, and it was all hands on deck for a bit. Procedure was carried out and feeling much better after, no cramps, normal bleeding. Anaesthetist said it was all from me undergoing 'hyperventilation syndrome.' Yea, righto."

For Abortion "I took the medication at 11 pm as instructed, and I started to experience chills and lower back pain, as well as abdominal pain. I was in pain for 9 hours straight, but the blood came out at about 3 am. I experienced the heaviest flow ever, with big blood clots for three days. I took ibuprofen, it helps ease the pain. Then the last 3 days were my normal period. Now I'm struggling with weight, I'm getting thin. All I can say is good luck, lady, you got this, just stay strong."

For Abortion "I was 7 weeks and 1 day. First, I took the mifepristone in the office and got a little nauseated, but that’s all. The doctor then told me to insert 8 misoprostol vaginally by the time I went to bed that evening. I ate, and I took Tylenol with codeine 30 minutes before I inserted them. An hour went by, and I was in pain, but definitely tolerable, but it intensified along with shivering really bad, so I got in the bath. I then threw up all the food I ate, but felt tons better, but was still shivering and started to bleed. I finally went to lay down, and my boyfriend got me a heating pad and helped me a lot. I fell asleep due to medication, then woke up an hour later with pretty bad cramping. Passed some clots and tissue and felt much better. It’ll be okay, ladies, promise."

For Cervical Ripening "I inserted two 200 mg tablets vaginally 8 hrs before surgical hysteroscopy for an endometrial polyp. This turned into one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Pain started abruptly within 45 minutes, and it was agony. I tried taking pain meds but vomited them up almost immediately and then vomited continuously for 4 hours (mostly dry heaving as I was empty). Badly dehydrated. Severe shivering/chills. When I arrived at the surgical center, I collapsed on the floor of the lobby. It took a LOT of preoperative medication to get my pain/symptoms under control enough to do the surgery, and they had to switch from sedation to general anesthesia. When I woke up, the same terrible pain was still there, and I was maxed on narcotics before I was stable enough for discharge. Now, 12 hours later, the pain is manageable but not gone, and I’m incapacitated by pain, meds, exhaustion. The good news is the surgery was a success (a previous attempt w/out failed and created a false passage)."

For Abortion "I was six weeks and one day pregnant the day I took only misoprostol (three doses of 800) under my tongue. I didn’t even bleed with the two first doses and no abdominal pain either, just lots of chills. I was completely freaking out, thinking it was not working. But almost immediately when I took the third dose, the heavy bleeding started and huge clots started to come through, maybe five huge ones in the next couple of hours. Finally, then I passed the sac... maybe like the size of my thumbnail. And after that, everything was over. Such a relief! I more or less did my normal day the next day… a little bit emotionally affected but so thankful for these pills! I write this because I was so nervous and confused, and reading reviews made me feel less lonely! You’re not alone! You got this! And yes, it will work, I promise. Fun fact… didn’t experience any pain at all. Unbelievable!"

For Cervical Ripening "Given 4 pills to insert vaginally for a D and C. They could not perform the operation because I developed a fever from this medication. Had extreme chills and was shaking. Spent the next 5 days in bed with abdominal pain and extreme and constant gas. Severe headache. Felt fluish. Continued to have abdominal pain, indigestion, and extreme gas for 2 weeks. The next week, I sprained my back. May have been related to muscle weakness caused by drugs... who knows."

"I was 6 weeks when I took the first pill at the clinic with my nurse. I had only some nausea, which wasn’t terrible, and I also began bleeding with the first pill. About 45 hours later, I took the four pills in my cheeks. About ten mins in, while still dissolving, I felt like my stomach was squeezing together but no pain. Then pain began to build 20 mins in and intensified to about 30 mins in, and they were really, really bad-about 9/10 for me. I have really painful, heavy periods, and this was way worse. I had hot flashes and chills during this time. It only lasted about 15 mins, then it got better! I passed some clots about 5 mins after the pain got better and the baby sac, but no lemon-sized clots, only golf ball size with no pain. After, I threw up a bit from nausea and felt just exhausted, and I had a fever. I slept 12 hours, and it’s the next day, and it just feels like a normal period. I know everyone is different, but just know that you can handle this and you can do it!"

For Abortion "I was 6 weeks when I found out I was pregnant and finally managed to get my hands on 8 pills of misoprostol at 6w4d. 8:20 pm - took my first dose; 4 pills sublingually. By 30 minutes they were pretty much dissolved. 9 pm - started shivering profusely; I had to cover up head to toe. 9:50 pm - shivering stopped, started feeling mild stomach cramps and had diarrhea. 11:45 pm - finally experienced heavier bleeding which resembled a heavy period with some coin-sized clots. 11:50 pm - took my second dose. 12:24 am - felt chills again but not as bad as after the first dose. 1:12 am - diarrhea once again and pretty much had diarrhea for the rest of the day. The following day pretty much felt like my first day on a really heavy period; nothing unmanageable. Reading some of the reviews before I took my miso made me feel nauseous, but luckily I had an overall good experience with it. Hope this review will be helpful to whoever needs encouragement!"

For Abortion "I was 6 weeks, 3 days. I was super nervous to take this because of all the stories I read on the internet. I am happy to say taking this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself. I took the first pill (mifepristone) at the doctor's on 2/17 at 12 pm. I had no symptoms after taking this, and I felt my pregnancy symptoms stop (no feeling of nausea or tiredness). Before taking the pills, I was prescribed Butalb and took one 30 minutes before starting. On 2/19 at 1 am, I dissolved 4 misoprostol-2 in each cheek-and was instructed to swallow the pills after 30 minutes of dissolving. About 30 minutes after taking the pills, I did get chills, and my teeth were chattering, as well as cramping. The painkillers I took did help with the cramping. Shortly after the cramping, I did throw up and have diarrhea, but it was only once. A few small clots passed (nothing the size of a lemon, don’t let them scare you), and now I’m just bleeding like a normal period."

For Abortion "I'm 5 weeks pregnant. Day 1: took 2 misoprostol under the tongue and 2 vaginally. A little cramping and no bleeding at all. Day 2: took 4 misoprostol under the tongue, had cold chills, diarrhea, but still no bleeding. I don't know what to do."
