For Abortion "I was five weeks and going when I found out. Purchased the drugs on Friday, got it by Monday. Was literally in the review page for days because I was so scared of side effects or if something could go wrong. Took the first pill, Mifepristone, by 9 in the morning the next day. Just felt a slight pinch in my stomach here and there, nothing serious at all. Twenty-four hours came by and I took the last pills, misoprostol, let it dissolve under my tongue for 30 minutes, and then took water to wash the remaining down. Others said it took a couple of hours, but mine took up to ten minutes. I began to feel cramps and was in pain. It was like that for 30 minutes, I began to bleed, and then while at it, I passed out a clot. The pain was much because I didn’t have ibuprofen. I started bleeding heavily and it was like that for about five days. In total, I bled for 8 days. I had headaches, diarrhea, cold, a bit of back pain, and running temperature while in the process. Good luck to you ladies."

For Labor Induction "I had a D&C to terminate pregnancy for health reasons at 12 weeks + 5 days. My 2-week follow-up showed my body was holding onto blood and tissue on the ultrasound, so I was given 3 pills to take at home. I read reviews on this site, which completely terrified me to take the pills, so much so that I almost fainted holding the pills in one hand and my phone in the other... I ended up waiting until the next day and took 800 mg of ibuprofen a half hour before taking the misoprostol and barely had any cramping at all. I passed a bit of blood and had a small amount of diarrhea, and after 2 hours, the bleeding went down to just spotting. I had absolutely nothing to be afraid of. My periods are far worse than taking this medication. Don’t be afraid to take this medication to pass incomplete abortion. It’s not as bad as everyone is saying!"

For Cervical Ripening "My Dr. recommended this prior to an IUD insertion. Within 30 mins of vaginally inserting the 4 pills, I was throwing up on the side of the freeway. I had cold sweats, non-stop vomiting, diarrhea, and the worst cramping I’ve ever had in my life. I ended up at the ER to get pain medication and an IV as I quickly got dehydrated and couldn’t hold down any liquids. (Heads up - this medication is also used to terminate pregnancies, so the ER staff kept on asking me if I was trying to have an abortion.)"

For Abortion "I was 6 weeks when I found out I was pregnant and finally managed to get my hands on 8 pills of misoprostol at 6w4d. 8:20 pm - took my first dose; 4 pills sublingually. By 30 minutes they were pretty much dissolved. 9 pm - started shivering profusely; I had to cover up head to toe. 9:50 pm - shivering stopped, started feeling mild stomach cramps and had diarrhea. 11:45 pm - finally experienced heavier bleeding which resembled a heavy period with some coin-sized clots. 11:50 pm - took my second dose. 12:24 am - felt chills again but not as bad as after the first dose. 1:12 am - diarrhea once again and pretty much had diarrhea for the rest of the day. The following day pretty much felt like my first day on a really heavy period; nothing unmanageable. Reading some of the reviews before I took my miso made me feel nauseous, but luckily I had an overall good experience with it. Hope this review will be helpful to whoever needs encouragement!"

For Abortion "Do not be scared by all of the horror stories. I used this misoprostol for a medical abortion at 6 weeks. I was warned about the pain that would accompany these pills. I didn't want to go under or have surgery if not necessary. Before taking the 4 pills buccally, I took 1 promethazine and 2 Aleve. 25 minutes later, I began cramping. It was BEARABLE. Comparable to heavy period cramps, maybe a little stronger. I used a heating pad for the first hour, which HELPED. I bled heavily for 3-5 days and had light flow for a week after. This medicine caused diarrhea soon after, but it resolved itself quickly. Take this on your day off at home when you don't have any other commitments if possible. Be sure to start taking pain medication EARLY to ensure it has kicked in by the time the pain begins. USE a heating pad even if you do not need one on your period. The pain/bleeding can be worse for a pregnancy that is farther along, but for an early termination, I would go the medical route without any doubt."

For Abortion "So I just got done with the whole experience, and I had read the reviews while I was dissolving the 4 pills in my mouth, and not even 20 minutes later, I started feeling the cramps. I took my nausea pill and ibuprofen 30 minutes before I started dissolving, and that didn’t kick in until like 45 minutes afterward, and I finally got some rest. When I woke up, the cramps were intense, and I couldn’t take another pain pill until 30 minutes before it was time for my next dose of misoprostol... so I was suffering. I had diarrhea, and I was literally shaking because of the amount of pain I was in, my legs were shaking and everything. When I took my second dose after the ibuprofen kicked in, I got rest until I felt a big gush in my pants, like my water had broken. It did that twice, I could barely move, and when I went to the toilet, there was tissue along with blood clots. I took a shower, it’s now almost 6 am, and I’m still having mild cramps, but they are bearable."

For Abortion "First off, let me say that after reading these reviews, it had me so freaking scared of taking misoprostol, thinking I was going to have a bad experience, but thank goodness I had a good experience with this. I took the first pill at the clinic after I went to eat at Denny's. No side effects other than feeling a little nauseous. Nothing major, though. The next day at 4:30 pm, I took two 200 mg of ibuprofen, then at 5 pm, I took the misoprostol. I put four into my mouth, two on each side. It had to dissolve for an hour between my gums and cheeks, and shortly after, I started feeling crampy, nothing major at all. It is now 9:25 pm, and the only symptoms I've got were mild cramping and diarrhea, that's it! So please, if you came here like me, looking for reviews, as this was my first abortion ever, don't get all scared and freaking out like me because everyone is different, and good luck to you!"

For Abortion "I was exactly 6 weeks pregnant. I took mifepristone the day before as directed. 24 hours later, I had some ibuprofen, and an hour later, I took the first 4 Misoprostol between my gum and cheek. I was extremely worried as this way can cause vomiting, but I wasn't sick at all. I started to bleed shortly afterwards. I waited for 3 hours to take the final 2 Misoprostol, and in that time, very little to no cramping at that point. I managed to drop off to sleep in front of the TV and woke up having almost soaked through a pad. I went to the toilet and had passed the sac in my underwear. I basically slept through the final stage. I was in very little pain and didn't feel anything much stronger than period aches. If anything, I got worse cramps after the pregnancy had passed, so I took the codeine. It wasn't traumatic at all. I didn't have any side effects, not even nausea and diarrhea, which are the common ones."

For Abortion "I am 33, and this was my first time using the abortion pills. I want to give an honest account for ladies to prepare for the same scenario. I took the first tablet at 3 pm on Thursday. I had zero side effects and was able to carry on with my usual routine. I inserted the 4 Misoprostol exactly 24 hours later at 3 pm on Friday (I took pain relief 10 minutes before this). I lay down on the bed and waited for them to take effect. At 3:30 pm, I started to feel mild cramps. At 4 pm, these turned to moderate cramps. At 4:30 pm, I vomited 4 times and had diarrhea, then the cramps suddenly became very painful. I sat on the toilet for 90 minutes in a lot of pain, with very heavy breathing, before I felt a sudden woosh, which was the sac passing at 6 pm. I ate a banana at 6:20 pm and took the final two oral tablets with mild cramps for the rest of the day. The entire process was over within 3 hours, with only 90 minutes of bad pain, so it was absolutely doable and worth it."

For Abortion "I was 6 weeks, 3 days. I was super nervous to take this because of all the stories I read on the internet. I am happy to say taking this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself. I took the first pill (mifepristone) at the doctor's on 2/17 at 12 pm. I had no symptoms after taking this, and I felt my pregnancy symptoms stop (no feeling of nausea or tiredness). Before taking the pills, I was prescribed Butalb and took one 30 minutes before starting. On 2/19 at 1 am, I dissolved 4 misoprostol-2 in each cheek-and was instructed to swallow the pills after 30 minutes of dissolving. About 30 minutes after taking the pills, I did get chills, and my teeth were chattering, as well as cramping. The painkillers I took did help with the cramping. Shortly after the cramping, I did throw up and have diarrhea, but it was only once. A few small clots passed (nothing the size of a lemon, don’t let them scare you), and now I’m just bleeding like a normal period."

For Abortion "Had an ultrasound at week 11. No heartbeats were detected. One passed on week 7, another on week 9. My body still hasn't registered to naturally miscarry. Doctor has prescribed me misoprostol to speed up the process, so less stress is on my body. Took 4 pills all at once with 800 mg of ibuprofen. Intense cramps started 45 minutes later and lasted about 40 minutes. During that time, it was nothing but diarrhea with no bleeding. It was a little bit more painful than regular period cramps. Cramps stopped after 40 minutes. I got a break for about 30 minutes. No blood was seen then. Cramps started back up very, very intensely. I even had to walk around and hold on to something. It was hard to bear the pain. It helped me to sit on the toilet and try to push everything out. I highly suggest once intense cramps start, go to the bathroom, sit on the toilet, and push it out as hard as you can, regardless of pain. Pushed for five minutes and clots with tissue passed. Cramps stopped, and regular bleeding resumed."

For Abortion "POSITIVE REVIEW! (I was 6 WEEKS) Had the Mifepristone Tue at 5:30 pm, Wed I felt nauseous/dizzy, nothing major. On Thurs, before I started the second part of the treatment, I took 2x Paracetamol, 2x Ibuprofen, 1x anti-sickness, then the Misoprostol at 10:15 am vaginally (I was told that if you take the treatment this way, you're less likely to vomit/have diarrhea) cramps started, so I went to bed with a hot water bottle, they were getting stronger but totally bearable. Bleeding didn’t start for another 3 hours. At 2:30 pm, I inserted 2 more Misoprostol into my vagina, and not long after, I passed clots/the pregnancy. The cramps have now let up, and my symptoms are already going, this took 7 hours to complete. I’ve had worse periods than this! I didn’t experience any diarrhea/sickness/intense pain. My advice? PLEASE STOP WORRYING, keep up with pain relief, and own a hot water bottle. I’m such an anxious person, but I worked myself up for nothing, you’ve got this girl! Sending love ❤️"

For Abortion "So I was Week 7, read all the comments and freaked out. Inserted 2 in the office at 16:30, drove home. Around 18:30, had minor cramping, put two in cheeks at 19:00 and went to bed watching Netflix. Chills came an hour along with diarrhea and cramps (6 on a scale of 10). At 21:30, I felt normal. So, took 4 and allowed to melt. Had chills and a rise in temperature. Was feeling extremely sleepy. I woke in the middle of the night sweating, not sure what time, and had heavy diarrhea. Put a pad on and slept like a baby till 08:00. Minor cramps with a soaked pad."

For Abortion "My gf started the procedure with 3 pills of misoprostol (600 m) (1 sublingual and 2 vaginal) at 12:15 pm. At around 3 pm, she started having the first cramps. At 4 pm, she had the first blood loss. At 4:30, the second one. Afterwards, the pain became unbearable for her (from 4:30 pm until 6 pm), and she had several blood losses. She didn't use any pain meds, and she suffered from diarrhea and nausea too. We decided to see the doctor, as we were worried for her safety, whom we met at 7 pm. He confirmed that the abort was complete and he gave her some injections for pain and nausea. Now she feels better, and she mentioned those hours as the most painful of her life. Make sure to have someone at your side while using this procedure and make sure to have a doctor to contact in case of emergency."

For Abortion "After reading so many horrendous stories about other people's experiences, I was really nervous and worried for this treatment, however, it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I took the treatment as I was 5 to 6 weeks pregnant. I bled within 45 minutes of inserting the 4 tablets, and I didn’t have any vomiting or diarrhea after I took them. I took 2 x codeine as instructed and had mild to severe cramping for a few hours. I have pretty heavy periods and usually pass blood clots, so it was similar to a heavy period for me. I felt I passed the pregnancy within 4 to 6 hours and continued to bleed light to moderately for 12 days. I then did a low HCG pregnancy test 3 weeks after taking the tablets, and it was negative. I was so relieved it worked and it wasn’t as horrific as some people said, however, everyone is different. A heating pad definitely helped."

For Abortion "So I used Cytotec, 2 under my tongue and 2 in my vagina. After 30 minutes, I experienced diarrhea, and I had chills. I went to the toilet 3 times within 1 hour. My bleeding started with black blood, then the next day it was red. I felt little or no pain. I was actually scared it didn't work. After 1 week, I did the pregnancy test, and it was negative. To everyone who is about to go through this, not everyone goes through pain, and our bodies are totally different. Good luck."

For Abortion "I took the first pill at the doctor's office and four under my tongue the next day. I was so scared I got a heating pad, drank lots of fluids, and lit a candle to make it as comfortable as possible. After two hours, I needed to use the bathroom. I had bad diarrhea, but no blood. I felt nauseous, so I laid back down. I had cramping, later I felt the need to use the bathroom again. This time there was blood and some clotting. Very minimal. The worst part was the diarrhea. I was very early in my pregnancy, only seven days late when I took the abortion pill. Having an abortion is a hard decision. Remember that you can always have a baby when you are ready, and the earlier you take care of it if you don’t want one, the easier it will go. It’s nice to think about my daughter having a sibling, but I know I’m not ready for that. The experience wasn’t traumatic. The worst part was making the decision because I knew ultimately it was up to me. As women, we carry this burden, so prepare for the worst but think good thoughts."

For Abortion "I was 6w5d. Took 1st pill @ 1:30 pm on Fri. Doc told me to take the 2nd set of pills @ 6 pm Sat, but I felt more comfortable if I did it @ bedtime, so I can be relaxed. I had 24-48 hrs to do it. Started bleeding @ 1 pm on Sat, before I took the 2nd pills, but it was light. Nausea, but I was fine. I had 1 ibuprofen/codeine at 8:48 pm with an apple. 1 hr later, I took the 4 pills. Had regular cramps. 30 min later @ 10:27 pm, I washed the rest of the pieces down with water and had 1 regular ibuprofen with milk. Cramps got a little worse, but nothing I couldn’t handle! @ 11:27 pm, I passed a bunch of clots, and it was like magic! My cramps and nausea went away. I also never had diarrhea, and I never threw up. I’m still currently bleeding heavy @ 12 am, but it just feels like a regular period. Heating pad is your BFF! I had a sheet of Thermacare and a regular one, so I had double the heat, and it worked like a gem. If you stay relaxed all day, prepare properly, and take the pain meds 1 hr before, you’ll be just fine."

For Cervical Ripening "Inserted tablets before bed to aid with cervix dilation for the insertion of IUD. Mild cramps throughout the night, but then explosive diarrhea in the morning. Not pleasant! And the gynecologist was questioning if I actually used the tablets because the cervix was barely dilated!"

For Gynecological Conditions "I am 5 weeks pregnant. At 6:30 PM, I placed 4 tablets under my tongue. Within a few minutes, I experienced a reaction. The palm of my hand became red and very itchy. After 30 minutes, I swallowed the tablets with water. I waited for 3 hours. During that time, I felt cramps in my abdomen, but there was no bleeding. So, I decided to repeat the process for the second time. I experienced mild cramps but still no bleeding. Then, I decided to insert the 4 tablets vaginally, but it didn't have any effect. The next day, I did the exact same thing. I took 8 tablets orally. However, I experienced diarrhea and a headache. So, I inserted the other 4 tablets vaginally, but nothing happened."

For Abortion "I was really nervous, as many are, I’m sure! I cried before taking the mifepristone orally. I took it at 8 a.m. and was alone. It was a Friday, and my son would be picked up by his dad after school and be with him partially the weekend. So, perfect timing. I expected bad cramps with that pill, but nothing really happened that day. I actually felt great, maybe a cramp or two. The next morning, I took the misoprostol, two on each cheek, and let it dissolve for 30, then washed it down with water. First immediate reaction was diarrhea for like an hour or so and cramping. Then some blood, then heavy bleeding and clots that felt so weird when they’d come out. I bled all day and the next day with clots, but the cramping would come and go and eventually get better. I was with my boyfriend, so that helped. I wouldn’t really soak the pad, but when I’d pee in the toilet, that’s when everything would come out. You get used to it, and it gets better. It wasn’t terrible, I know you’re wondering ❤️"

For Abortion "So I too was very scared and worried after reading some stories about vomiting, diarrhea, and terrible cramping. To prep, I took 2 Motrin (200 mg each) and 1 anti-nausea pill that my gynecologist gave me about 30 minutes before. I decided to insert the pills vaginally because I was hoping it would help me avoid stomach issues. The misoprostol started taking effect about 30 minutes after, to my surprise. My cramps started feeling like constipation pain, and so after a while, despite having a heating pad and the two Motrins in me, I decided to go to the toilet hoping to find relief. I ended up staying on the toilet for 1.5 hours but did not release anything other than blood and clots. Within that 1.5 hours, the cramps died down, and I actually felt pretty normal, like I was having a regular period. I was so happy and surprised that the worst was over that fast! I’m here writing this after leaving the toilet just to say, do not fear the second pills. You are stronger than you think!!"

For Abortion "Initially, when I was five weeks pregnant, I sought out pills to terminate the pregnancy. However, I could only find misoprostol, as it was the most affordable option. I inserted two pills vaginally and two sublingually. After a few hours, I experienced cramps and diarrhea, but there was no bleeding. I was advised to repeat the medication after 72 hours. The following week, I purchased combination pills. I took mifepristone and waited for 24 hours before taking the other four pills. About 5-6 hours later, I experienced heavy bleeding and passed some clots and the sac. The cramps persisted for a few minutes. You can do this! Once you endure it and reassure yourself, it will be done. Good luck to those out there."

For Abortion "The pills definitely worked, which is why I gave it a high rating, but my experience was horrible. I got really bad chills and started itching on my arms an hour after taking the 4 pills by mouth. Then came the diarrhea with extreme thirst and unbearable cramping. It was about 2 1/2 to 3 hours in by the time the vomiting started. My pain tolerance is very high, but this was too much pain at once. The pain pills did absolutely nothing. I started at 10 pm and didn’t completely finish until around 7:30 am. I don't recommend this method, although it’s very effective, it just wasn’t a good choice for me."

For Abortion "I used 4 pills vaginally yesterday for a missed miscarriage. I’ll be honest this was one of the most painful experiences I’ve been through. The cramping was severe. I also had diarrhea and was nauseous. The whole painful process lasted 4 hours. I’m giving it a high rating because the process worked. I was about 7.5 weeks when I miscarried, so I passed some pretty large clots. Once you pass the majority of the uterine lining, the pain goes away. I would recommend taking 800 milligrams of ibuprofen 2 hours before you start the medication and then another 800 once the pain starts to kick in. I took Tylenol, and I completely regret that, it did absolutely nothing for the pain."
