For Pain "I'm sick over the discontinuation of meperidine. It was the only pain RX that helped and didn't make me feel sick or lightheaded. I took it for years, and all of a sudden, it's gone. A pharmacist from Pfizer said they would resume production sometime in January due to a missing ingredient. Now I'm taking Tramadol, and it's meh... and clogs me up something fierce."

For Pain "It’s infuriating to read reviews from doctors w/o pain who get paid to write articles on behalf of pharma that dismiss meperidine so RX manufacturers can make more money? I took it for years - didn’t make me sick or high, it got rid of the pain, period. Now I take tramadol and ibuprofen because the others make me sick, it’s mediocre and I have to take more. Meperidine is no longer a moneymaking RX, is the real reason it’s gone. Why would any pain patient want fentanyl with people dropping dead at an alarming rate? Bring back meperidine."

Meperidine for Pain "I am allergic to most pain meds. I’ve been on methadone for so long it no longer works. Demerol worked great after surgery in the past. I have EDS, so I have pain in most joints and have had over 35 surgeries and need more. Methadone now makes me sick, yet pain management claims they no longer make Demerol. Why is it everything that pain management (PM) patients need they keep taking away! So now I’m left in pain without a medication. These morons who make all these decisions are never the ones who are PM patients! Leave it up to the doctors to treat patients, not some board of people who have no clue what it’s like to live 24/7 in pain 365!"
