Imodium (loperamide) "I have really bad anxiety, and it comes with diarrhea every time! So, as soon as I heard of this, I immediately went to the store and bought it! It works miracles, and now I am a little less anxious about having an accident in public."

Imodium (loperamide) "I get diarrhea all the time since I was 12 or 13. I take a lot of meds, and a lot of food I can no longer eat. This medicine works right away for me. I am now 67 yrs old. I only use it if the diarrhea lasts for more than two days."

Imodium A-D (loperamide) "If Imodium doesn’t work for you, then you might have Bile Acid Diarrhea (BAM). So you need Cholestrymine. It’s horrible, first month makes things worse, then bam, you're all good. As far as Imodium, you have to take two, and then after the next poop, take another one, and this will completely stop you up."

Imodium A-D (loperamide) "I have had IBS-D most of my life. Until Imodium came along, I had to stay home... I use the Imodium Multi-Symptom more often than the Imodium A-D for one specific reason - the ease of accessing the pill. The packaging for the A-D is absolutely, beyond a doubt, one of the dumbest ever conceived! Definitely not something you can have handy in your purse or wallet. You'd never be able to get to it in an emergency. You have to use scissors to cut the tiny pill out! But, with the Imodium Multi-Symptom, you simply bend the corner at the perforation, pull the paper back, and access the pill. It is a larger pill, so for people who have difficulty swallowing, you may want to buy a small bottle of Imodium - no individual packages to mess with."

Imodium A-D (loperamide) "Used Imodium for many years. Very happy with it. Don't depend on anything else. If it wasn't for Imodium, I would not be able to leave the house. Very hard to open to get pill out. Wish you could make it a little easier. Have to use scissors to get pill out. Please improve it."

"I was born in 1958 and have had intestinal pain since I was a child. I thought it was just part of growing up and never told anybody. As a young adult, the pain became too much to handle, and I started seeing all kinds of doctors. To make a long story short, loperamide controls the pain I had to endure for years. Better than prescribed medicine and at a much better price. I have been taking it for a good twenty or so years now. I do not wait for the problems to start, I take one in the morning and one at bedtime every day. If I feel an intestinal virus coming on, I double it. It is very rare now for me to get that double-over pain for hours. To me, it's a miracle drug."

Imodium (loperamide) "Made my symptoms much worse. Every time I took it, I'd get diarrhea immediately after. Sometimes it would clear up afterward, sometimes it wouldn't. I took it before bed, and it gave me loose stool in my sleep (after I had already gone multiple times after taking it)."

"I have suffered really badly with irritable bowel syndrome for the past two years. The lady I see at the treatment center recommended I use loperamide capsules. I take three every day, and they are really good. I recommend these tablets to anyone who suffers with what I do. Thanks."

"The old formula worked great. I could always count on it to stop any diarrhea by the second dose. The new formula doesn't work at all. I've tried it many times. I've even tried using more than recommended, but to no avail. It's a waste of money."

Imodium (loperamide) "This stuff works well... maybe a little too well. I used it multiple times daily for a few weeks (mostly because I am just paranoid) and I ended up severely and dangerously constipated. I am having to get a colonic to remove the stool that has built up inside of me as a result of chronic use of this drug. All in all, it really does work, but you should seriously limit how often you take it. It will make you extremely constipated and painfully bloated if you overdo it. Don’t make the same mistake I did. 5/10 rating for effectiveness, but bad side effects when used long term."

Imodium A-D (loperamide) "I was tapering off of both MS Contin and Percocet and developed diarrhea. I started taking Imodium and started itching and a rash. It did help the diarrhea, but I am one of the people that had a reaction to this medication, unfortunately. I also had cramping and sweating, as well as lightheadedness."

"Long story slightly short have had IBS for few years now and almost constant feeling immediately fatigued and had palpitations after meals and required immediate to move bowels so began to take these and subsequently when my stress increased due to a motorcycle accident I started mebeverine alongside these and have completely removed spice intake from my diet including dairy. The loperamide I don't like to admit has saved me from ruination and constant visits seriously within RDA its perfect and has stopped my stomach from constant grumbling (painless cramps)"

"Once in a while I eat something that brings on the trots. One pill usually does the trick. Like any other over the counter medicine, it's not something to become dependent on. Once I figure-out what food item did me in, I stop eating it."

"2 days into the most painful diarrhea I've ever experienced, I got onto Gastro-stop. Within about 45 minutes my severe gut cramps had reduced to rumbles and diarrhea no more, combined with some re-hydration product I am feeling almost well again."

Imotil (loperamide) "It worked great, but made my eyes very dilated, so much so that I could not read. I started taking it after getting my C. diff from the antibiotics from a back stimulator being placed in my mid-back. Can't say enough good about it except the eye dilatation."

"I agree with the difficulty of the packaging. My remedy is to liberate (cut) a few pills free of the packaging and put them in a small container. The medication itself is very effective, and I am so thankful."

"I take this for Irritable Bowel Syndrome control, and it works very well. In most cases, 2 x 2 mg capsules do the job, however, sometimes one or two more are needed for more severe cases."
