Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "The reviews on here helped me a lot when I was freaking out, so I wanted to write one too. I am a super anxious person, so when my boyfriend’s condom slipped off during our second round of sex about a week before my period was due to start, I freaked out. He hadn’t finished in me, but he was close and had already finished once that day so it was likely his precum contained sperm. Anyway, I took Plan B within a few hours and had few side effects. Mostly, I experienced a bit of bloating and fatigue, and my breasts were sore on and off. Today I got my period, about five days late. It’s heavy, but overall bearable. Hang in there, you’re going to be okay. Put your phone down, relax, and let this pill do its job."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B about 36 hours after unprotected sex. I literally was SO scared I would get pregnant and googled everything on Plan B way too much. I'm on birth control but hadn't been taking it at the same time recently. I had symptoms throughout that I was paranoid were pregnancy symptoms, like random cramping, lower back pain, and sore breasts. My nipples were always hard! But exactly 3 weeks later, today, I got my period! It is a few days later than when I usually have it. Don't worry, it works! Trust it."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I had sex with my boyfriend on 3/28, and he didn't pull out, and I freaked out and took a Plan B within 5 hours of the accident. Taking the pill, I was dizzy and had tender breasts and cramps. The 2nd day, my urine was clear with white drops afterward. The 3rd day, I started spotting a little. I was happy to see progress but still was paranoid. The next morning, I had the urge to go to the bathroom, I went, and when I wiped, it was blood-no spots. I looked in the toilet, and it was a lot of blood. So, YES, I got my period today (5 days after Plan B). So excited. IF YOU ARE OVERWEIGHT, DON'T STRESS BECAUSE IT WORKED FOR ME, AND I'M 254 LBS. Take it before 24 hours. Hope this helps."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex, took Plan B the next day. The only symptoms I had were breast tenderness for a day and slight cramping pain. But the product works, I got my period. I was so stressed out because I seriously didn't want to get pregnant. Prayed every day that this product would work, and it did."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Don't even bother stressing yourself out like I did, because Plan B actually works. On June 25th, I had unprotected sex with my bf, and on that day I was ovulating and my bf wasn't wearing condoms, and I wasn't on birth control pills. I know this is TMI, but he 'came'/finished inside me. So, 2 hours later, I started to get paranoid and decided to take Plan B. Well, let me tell you this: I received so many pregnancy symptoms such as sore breasts, headaches, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, frequent urination, back pains, and cramping. The side effects will have you going insane. The scary part is that a week before my period was due, I saw brown discharge, and I automatically assumed that it was implantation bleeding. The next following week, my period came."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Condom broke right around my time of ovulation (it was 1-2 days before the expected date, but could have been the day of ovulation), so I was freaking out so bad that the pill might not work if I had already ovulated. I took the pill 20 hours later. I cried almost every day for 2 weeks, I was so scared. I had a lot of bad symptoms: breast tenderness, cramping, bloating. I had brown spotting about a week before my period was due... then, 1 day before my expected period, I got it. So relieved!!! I am also over the weight limit, but after some research on that, I found there was no real evidence to say it doesn't work over a certain weight anyway."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I’ve used Plan B before, and it always worked. This time, when I needed it most, it did not work for me. I am almost 3 weeks pregnant right now. I am disappointed because it’s bad timing. A baby is a miracle, and I feel bad that I am in this predicament, but I put myself here. I tried to believe it was the Plan B that gave me my symptoms, but it’s been a while since I got my period, so I took a test, and I am pregnant for sure. I can’t blame Plan B because it isn’t 100%, but damn, lmao, it didn’t work this time. I recommend if you are late, definitely take a pregnancy test. I had nausea, my boobs hurt, I puked once, I’m tired, I’m moody. Those are my symptoms. Good luck, Charlie."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Just wanted to say that this product worked for me. I waited about 24 hours after I had intercourse, so I was worried it wouldn't work because it says the sooner the better. I had mild cramps, and my breasts were pretty sore, nothing too intense though. My period came this morning, which is just a couple of days off from when I usually start, so yeah, I'm very relieved. Best advice I can give is to try your very best not to get overly stressed, that never helps."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex on 2/5 around 8:00 pm. The condom broke, and I was not sure whether or not I fully pulled out, so we panicked, went out to CVS, and bought Plan B 30 minutes later. Her last period was on 1/15, but she does not track her period, and usually, they are irregular, so being a really sensitive boyfriend, I completely lost my mind thinking only about the hypotheticals and negatives for the next few weeks to follow. She started spotting about 5 days after taking the pill, and the side effects that followed included breast tenderness, and she complained about being very tired very often. I'm not sure whether or not the symptoms lasted for more than a week, but she finally got her period today on March 5th (51 days after her last period and 30 days after taking Plan B). It completely distorts a woman's cycle, and while I understand that my panicking was not uncalled for, it definitely affected my ability to think straight. If you take the pill within the instructed time frame and are under the weight limit, you will be great. Now to start a birth control regimen, lol. Also, I reached out to a bunch of friends who were in these same situations, and more than half of them had their girlfriends get their periods at least 4-5 weeks after taking the pill, so a delayed period is completely normal. Good luck everyone, hope this review was informative and reliable."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I just wanted to share my experience to calm the minds of every girl on here. So, I have now had to take Plan B twice. The first time the condom broke, he finished inside, so I took the pill one hour after and had little side effects. My period came right on time. The second time the condom broke, but he pulled out long before he finished. I took the pill a few hours later. I had cramping, nausea, acne flare-ups, and lots of stress. I missed my period, and around that time my breasts became sore. I was very nervous. I took a pregnancy test, and it was negative. But two and a half weeks later, it came like a truck, and now I am bleeding heavily and cramping a ton! So, ladies, please just try to relax and let the pill do its job. Thank you, Plan B!"

Levonorgestrel for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve had the Mirena coil for 15 months now, and in my experience, it’s been awful: tender breasts all the time, period pains pretty much all the time. The heavy bleeding did settle after 6 months of it being inserted, however, I never know when the bleeding might start again, as sometimes it’s every 2 weeks. The last period I had was so bad it scared me as I was losing big clots and soaked an extra super absorbent tampon within 5 minutes. I’ve since been to my GP, who has confirmed the strings are in the right place. Swabs came back fine. Now got to go for a scan before I can have it removed to make sure I haven’t got a fibroid. I did persevere with it for this long in the hope it would settle and make each month better. Unfortunately, it’s just made me more miserable and can’t wait to have it removed. I’m going on holiday tomorrow, and I’ve been awake since 3 am with excruciating cramps."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex a day after my period tracking calendar said I ovulated. My partner used the pull-out method and said he did not ejaculate in me, but I am a very worrisome person. I took the Plan B One-Step almost 48 hours after. I weigh 206 pounds and am 5'6", if this helps. Well, a week after, I was having dizzy spells, some nausea, hot flashes, constipation, sore boobs, and was very tired. I ended up getting my period a day before I expected it, so I would say that the pill worked for me in this instant. Don't freak out and do not spend your money on pregnancy tests before you are actually late for it. Stress can cause your period to be late, so just relax and don't think every little thing means you're pregnant because it will kill you."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I promised myself to write a review if this product works. I had unprotected sex on the 12th day of my cycle, took Plan B 12 hours later. No side effects until one week of taking Plan B. My boobs started to hurt like anything, lower back pain, tiredness, nausea, specifically had pelvic pain. Then another week later (2 weeks after taking Plan B), I started to spot for 3 days (very light, pinkish) then nothing, no period! My period proper did not arrive on the day it's supposed to come. I was freaked out, did 5 pregnancy tests, all came back negative. I requested a blood test from my doctor, but then my period came finally. 2 days late. Hope this helps somebody..."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Do not worry, girls!! I’ve used this website so many times to bring me ease. Plan B works! I had unprotected sex on my ovulation day (alcohol was involved). I was not sure if he finished in me or not, but he told me he didn’t. I wanted to take precautions as I was scared of pre-cum, and I took Plan B (19 hours after). I had super sore breasts and some back pain, I did not have any spotting until 10 days after and a negative pregnancy test. I got my period. Thank you, Plan B!!!! I know it’s scary, but it’ll be okay!!!"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "My last period was January 12, and on day 7, I had unprotected sex, he pulled out. I didn’t take Plan B January 11. I had spotting, and I freaked because I never have spotting. I thought it was implantation, turns out it was ovulation spotting, which means my ovulation was COMING. I never ovulate early, and then day 14 came around, and I had so much egg white cervical mucus (EWCM). I had unprotected sex on ovulation day, I'm stupid, right? After 2 rounds, I went to my local drug mart and got Plan B. I looked everywhere online that said Plan B is useless when you’re ovulating, so I was definitely pregnant. After I took it, I convinced myself I was pregnant because right after, I had nausea, cramps, and tender breasts. Luckily, I got my period 4 days early. I usually get my period on day 31. My advice is don’t Google your symptoms, be protected and be aware of ovulation, try to avoid having sex when you ovulate, okay? It worked for me on ovulation day, so it does work, don’t listen to others and TRUST THE PILL!!!! Love you, girlies❤️"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Plan B works!!!! 3 weeks ago, my boyfriend came inside of me either the day I was ovulating or the day after because the condom broke, so I took Plan B within the hour. The worst part was the wait, and I tried to take vitamin C to induce my period, but that didn’t work, so I was sure I was pregnant lol. Then I basically worried myself to death every day thinking I had the symptoms of pregnancy (stop googling things!! It’s better that way!!) and then finally my period came one day late. The only side effect I had was tender breasts. The worrying is the worst part, but try to stay calm!!! It will work!! That’s what it’s made for!!! You will be okay!!"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I'm 17, and my boyfriend's condom broke during sex, like most. Being my age, a child is not something we need right now. I was very panicked and immediately got the pill. After reading many reviews on it, I took it about 4 hours after the mishap. The only side effect I had was tender breasts. I got my period on my exact due date! This pill works! I promise you. Don't worry, it will be okay!"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "This pill really does work. My boyfriend and I had a mishap around my ovulation time, and I took the pill 12 hours later, about 2 weeks ago. I got my period today. Slight side effects with bloating, crampy feeling about a week after taking it, and really tender breasts. But it worked. Oh, and I'm 5'5'', 180 lbs, and it still worked for me, so away with the weight limits!"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I just want to give the person reading this some peace of mind. Me and my boyfriend had protected sex, but the condom came off when he came, so we bought Plan B an hour later. Maybe like 6 days later, I bled for about 5 days, but it was just caused by the hormonal imbalance. I didn’t really have any other symptoms besides cramps. I was twenty days late for my period, which really freaked me out, so I took 3 pregnancy tests, but they were all negative. During the time I was late, I experienced extremely sore breasts, and they got bigger. My stomach would have cramps too from time to time. When I finally got my period, it was very heavy and 20 days late, but I’m not pregnant. Make sure to not stress about it because that can also make your period late."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Had unprotected sex Sunday morning and got/took the pill the next day. Felt perfectly fine that day, but every day up until today I have been cramping and my breasts have been super tender, but I knew it was normal since it was stated as one of the side effects. But I didn't know it was going to make me get my period so early. I'm supposed to get it two weeks from now, but got it today. I'm glad I did because now I have some closure knowing that it worked!"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I took this pill day 2 (8/10/19) of my fertile window about an hour after unprotected intercourse. Please note, I did not realize that I was in my fertile window until a week or so later. My partner did not use the withdrawal method, so we both started to freak out after reading that it wouldn’t work due to it being during the fertile window. About 2 to 3 days after taking it, I developed sore breasts. As the days and weeks went along, I felt every pregnancy symptom you can imagine to include fatigue, frequent urination, sore breasts, headache, and queasiness. In addition, I had diarrhea! I was convinced at times that I was pregnant and the pill had not worked because I literally just didn’t feel right. However, I am very happy that my period started today, 4 days before the expected day. This pill works!"

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "Update: (I did a review on 2020-01-18) So last time I said I took the pill after my boyfriend came in me, and I got my period early; same amount of blood, but ever since I didn’t get my period again for about a month. But after a month, I finally got my period! No bad cramps, no heavy flow. The only symptoms I really got from this pill were: late period and tender breasts. I do recommend this pill if you just can’t afford Plan B! Take care, ladies, for those stressing after taking the pill, just relax. Good luck!"

For Emergency Contraception "What a roller coaster... I've had unprotected sex exactly the day I was ovulating (Flo app). I drank the pill 35 hours after. I didn't feel anything for a week. On the 9th day, I felt like I was going crazy. I had tender boobs, headache, my right foot was also painful, unbearable cramps. I was scared it was pregnancy symptoms. Two days before my period was scheduled, all those symptoms disappeared and I felt normal again. The day came and no period. I felt like this is the end for me, I cried the whole day. The following day, it was the same thing, no period and no pains. Day 3 of being late, I experienced very light pinkish bleeding. I was convinced it was implantation bleeding. After a few hours, I started having severe cramps. I couldn't even move from the bed. It was terrible. Slowly but surely, my period started getting heavier, and today I’m on day 3 and still experiencing heavy flow and cramps. But I believe it's better than pregnancy. This pill works even during ovulation."

Levonorgestrel for Birth Control "I decided to switch from the pill to Mirena because I was not great at remembering to take the pill, and I am 21 and not ready to have a baby, so I wanted something I could not forget to take. I went online and read reviews and almost did not go through with it because, even though there were some great reviews, the bad ones terrified me, especially because I had a lot of problems on multiple birth control pills before (depression, mood swings, sore breasts, etc.). The initial procedure for me was not bad at all, and the pain was less than a normal period cramp. Since then, I have had no pain and no adverse side effects, and I have nothing but great things to say. So much better than the pill, and honestly, the best decision I have made about bc."

Levonorgestrel for Emergency Contraception "I read these reviews daily when I was stressed, so I thought I'd leave one. I had to take Plan B after a condom broke on Day 12 of my cycle (so I was fertile and close to ovulation). I took it 45 minutes after the incident and had no symptoms for around a week. After a week, I started bleeding, more than spotting but less than my normal period. It lasted around 5 or 6 days. I also had severely sore breasts, on-and-off cramps. Around a week after that, I also had a lot of discharge (clear). These symptoms lasted on and off until I got my period yesterday. My period was 23 days late. Don't absolutely freak like I did. I went to the doctors and took pregnancy tests and still wouldn't calm down. Try to relax, this works! Symptoms suck but not prego!"
