For Emergency Contraception "I never write reviews, but I am hoping this helps someone/calms some nerves. I had unprotected sex on May 22nd (5 days after my period, so I was close to my fertile window). He said he didn't finish in me, but I was not 100% sure, so I got this pill just in case. I took it around 17 hours later. It was not my first time taking this, but this time was different. I had some weird cramping and nausea for a few days, and then I ended up spotting/having a mini period a week after taking the pill. I was a little freaked out because this has never happened, but after reading reviews, this seems quite normal. The last two weeks, my breasts have been insanely sore, and I have been insanely bloated. I definitely thought I was pregnant. Then, I FINALLY GOT MY PERIOD TODAY. On my Flo app, it says I was around 10 days late. If anyone is freaking out, just wait and be patient. Stressing about getting your period can make it late too."

For Emergency Contraception "I took this pill within two hours of unprotected sex. Almost exactly 12 hours after taking it, I woke up to terrible cramping in my abdomen. That whole day I had the worst nausea of my life, including vomiting and diarrhea throughout the day. I couldn’t keep any food down. I almost passed out later that night, likely because my blood sugar was so low from not eating all day. I had some spotting about a week later, which was about when my period was supposed to come. However, I have not had a period since. It’s been about two months. I’ve taken pregnancy tests, and they have come back negative. For the last few weeks, I have gotten cramps and some breast tenderness and irrationality that is usually associated with my period, but still no period. Planning to head to the doctor soon. Don’t recommend this pill."

For Emergency Contraception "This pill seriously works. If you were in the same position as me, you're sitting on this website reading the reviews and hoping the pill is working. My boyfriend and I had sex on the 12th when the condom broke. He was able to buy the pill on the 14th, some 50 hours after. I took it ASAP. I was very tired and felt nauseous and dizzy every so often after I took it. I started spotting on the 19th and now it's the 20th, and I just woke up with my period. The 50 dollars spent on buying the pill is much better than risking having a baby."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B works, but it will screw with your mind. These user reviews kept me from going absolutely insane. Had sex on 8/13, almost positive I had ovulated that day-dumb, I know. My boyfriend is good at controlling himself and pulling out, but this time he made a mess with the cum after getting out. Took Plan B 4 hrs after and was nauseous with minor headaches, then exactly 1 week later (8/20) literally ALL the pregnancy symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks-spotting, cramps, mood swings, lower back pain, fatigue, nausea, headaches, food aversions/cravings, sore breasts, elevated temperature, etc. The spotting went away, but the other stuff went on 'til 8/27, the day my period was due. I about lost my mind of anxiety, but 8/28 I got a negative result on a pregnancy test and my period later in the day. The meds work, just don’t let the side effects get to you-they’re still better than getting pregnant. Stay off Google, read the reviews here and relax. Better yet, have safe sex."

For Emergency Contraception "I took this around September 13. He pulled out, but we were still worried about precum, and I was sure I was also ovulating. I have irregular periods sometimes, but my next period was expected to be on Sept 28. I had withdrawal bleeding from Sept 16-20. I never got a period in October. My stomach was bloated, I was always emotional, I felt nauseous sometimes, and got tired very fast. It was basically every pregnancy symptom, and I freaked out. Finally, on the morning of Nov 13, I thought I would go take a pregnancy test, even though there was almost no chance. My period was 30 days late, and on my way to Target, I felt a really weird cramp, and I went to the restroom to check, and thankfully I had my period. Don’t read reviews and generalize, everyone has different bodies, always test to make sure :)"

For Emergency Contraception "I wanted to share my experience that was very different from everyone else's on here. Not only did this work and did not get pregnant, but I experienced no side effects at all. No cramps, nausea, anything. I was actually so shocked because after reading these reviews, I was so scared... while it may have side effects for some people, I just wanted to share that at least I'm one example of someone for whom this worked completely with no pain! :)"

For Emergency Contraception "Okay, guys, please do not panic. So let me tell y'all about my experience: Before the Plan B, I started my period on November 1st. I had sex on November 14 and took the pill the next morning, not even 24 hours after. The pill does have side effects. I bled a week after I took the Plan B, and after I bled, I felt tired. I would feel weird, like I had to throw up and everything (in the morning), so I started panicking because it was December 15 and still no period. So I took a test and it was negative. I was going to wait another week and take the test, but before I could take it, December 27 is when my period appeared. Don’t worry, y’all, and don’t listen to what you see and stop panicking."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex, and the condom broke, and the guy wasn’t sure if he finished in me or not. I’m pretty sure I was just about to ovulate the next day (according to Flo), so I was on my very fertile days. It was in the middle of the night, so the next day at around 11 a.m., I took Plan B. About 6 days later, I got a sort of very heavy period that I heard was normal to have after Plan B, but I had heard that most of the time that’s not your actual period, so I still freaked out. I was supposed to get my period on Nov 30, and ended up getting it on Dec 19 (the same day I got that weird period last month, so I guess it actually was my period just coming early from Plan B). I freaked out the entire month and felt nauseous and had NO appetite for weeks. TRUST THE PILL!! I took 7 pregnancy tests (all negative, obviously) and was still scared out of my mind until I got my period. Good luck! And the pill DID work on my fertile days, and I probably had already started ovulating, so be patient and stay positive❤️."

For Birth Control "DO NOT GET THIS. I'M TELLING YOU THIS NOW! Many people, like myself, have read the reviews and thought, oh no, that won’t be me. It’ll be fine. I'M DIFFERENT. Well - no, I’m not. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Constantly bleeding, I can’t even HAVE sex, constant cramping and discomfort. Nausea. Dizziness. And the worst of all is the HORMONES. All I do is cry. Getting it out asap."

For Emergency Contraception "Let me start by saying that I’m not pregnant, so it did do its job. I slipped up on 9/8, which was right in the middle of my fertile window, and I took the pill about 40 hours after. The first week or so, I had mild cramping and some nausea, but then the next week... oh boy. I was extremely fatigued and nauseous most of the time, had cramps, sore boobs, nasal congestion, frequent urination, and my emotions were all over the place. I seriously thought I was pregnant. My period came when it was expected, though, so I guess that’s all that matters. I’ll take the nasty side effects over being preggo any day."

For Emergency Contraception "Took the Plan B pill 1 hour after intercourse. I took it on an empty stomach, which you should NOT do. I felt crazy symptoms for about 1 month. It felt as if I were pregnant. I have been nauseous, tired, mood swings. Horrible feeling, and it lasted quite a while. 1 week after I had taken the pill, I got some spotting that lasted 3 days. I took 7 home pregnancy tests (all negative) because of all the worry. But I just received my period today, which I am so happy about."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm going to give my whole story because I know when I was reading these reviews that's all I wanted to hear just to comfort me, but in a short version because of the word limit... -Had my period on June 23-26 -Had protected sex, but the condom broke, and my boyfriend came in me on July 3, which was 5 to 6 days before ovulation -Took the pill 30-45 minutes after the incident -I had severe nausea, dizziness, breast tenderness that hurt to the touch, fatigue, and slight cramps for a week and a half -On the second week, July 17, I started bleeding brownish at first that turned into a dark red and bled for 5 days (TMI, I know, I'm sorry), but the pill works! I started a week before my expected period, so don't worry girls, you'll be okay!!!"

For Birth Control "I had the Kyleena for 2 years, this is my experience. I am a fit, healthy 25-year-old woman with a background in healthcare and no existing medical conditions or symptoms before Kyleena. The procedure for insertion I found to be okay. After, I had unbearable cramping for about 3 months and irregular bleeding. For the past 2 years, I have experienced increasing anxiety and depression. Uterine pain during sports such as rock climbing, skiing, kayaking, running, etc., that didn’t used to be painful. Additionally, I experienced decreased libido, pain during sex, recurrent yeast infections, vaginal dryness, nausea, headaches, back pain, insomnia, and my period stopped altogether. Two months ago, I got the Kyleena removed, I am aware of the placebo effect, etc. The removal was painless. The first 3 days after removal, I experienced extreme mood swings and heavy bleeding. But ever since then, I am happy to say I have had none of these side effects anymore and feel like myself."

For Birth Control "I got the IUD put in on 01/24/2020 and had little to no bleeding. I had a lot of cramping and pain. My OBGYN, whom placed it, checked it and ensured its placement. The whole time, I had uncomfortable pain and cramping to the point of tears. On 02/08/2020, my boyfriend finally took me to get checked at the urgent care. They stated that I had PID and BV due to getting my IUD. I was put on two antibiotics and further tests were put on order. After taking the meds for one week, I still had pain and cramping at the same level when I first got it. However, I had developed a fever and nausea. The urgent care doctor told me to go to the ER. At the ER, they could not find my IUD imaging. They told me to follow up with my OBGYN, and I still had PID and BV. I went to see my OBGYN the next day to find my IUD still inside me. When pulled out, it had bacterial growth on it. Right after being taken out, I felt better, and the cramping stopped. Please do not put this in your body!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B about 26 hours after sex and was crazy paranoid because I was ovulating when the incident occurred. For almost two weeks, I had fatigue, extreme nausea, swollen and tender breasts, but then my period came two days early! Period is normal, not heavier or lighter! Plan B does work, but I wouldn't advise taking it often. All those hormones will make you feel absolutely crazy."

For Emergency Contraception "I didn't see enough ovulation Plan B stories, so I thought I would share my experience. After the deed was done, I noticed the condom was broken. I checked to see if I was ovulating (which I was). I got upset and made my boyfriend drive to the nearest pharmacy and pick up Plan B. I took it within 2 hours of the condom breaking. It thickened my cervical mucus and kind of expelled the leftover semen. The next 2 weeks were filled with cramping, nausea, headaches, breast tenderness, and anxiety. The cramps felt like implantation cramps (one side and sharp). Also turned out to be NOT PREGNANT :)"

For Emergency Contraception "So my boyfriend and I had sex around 12:30 am. He didn't have a condom, and he asked me if I was ovulating/fertile, and my dumb ass said no, so he ended up finishing inside of me for the first time ever. I went to the bathroom right away and checked my period tracker app, and it was the day I was ovulating. I FREAKED OUT, I was so scared. I'm not on any kind of birth control! So the next morning, 8 hours later, we went to Walgreens, and he bought me the Plan B pill. The next 2 weeks, I had symptoms: nausea, headaches, cramping in my left lower abdomen, and sore breasts. I was terrified and kept thinking it was pregnancy symptoms! Anyway, it was the longest two weeks of my life, and I ended up getting my period the day I was supposed to. :) Don't freak out, it works!"

I can't lie, I absolutely knew I was pregnant! I had all the symptoms. I was nauseated, had headaches, swollen breasts, and cramped daily. I was so ecstatic to see my period come on the same day it was expected! Birth control pills will be started today! Thanks, Plan B!"

For Emergency Contraception "Had sex with a condom on (Nov 11), the condom slipped after he finished. The next day, I took Plan B because I was so worried that semen got inside me. The side effects when I took it hit me pretty early. Mainly just feeling like I needed to throw up. My period ended up being a WEEK late. I took two pregnancy tests, and both came back negative. Got my period today. Worst cramps I’ve ever experienced, but hey, I’m not pregnant! Just relax, if you don’t get your period on time, it most likely will. Just need to be patient and stop googling stuff!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Ever since I got this thing, I’ve been bleeding and cramping, depressed, and have a low sex drive. Getting this has been one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made. I was talked into it, instead of having my heavy period problem actually remedied, I was given this bad idea of a device. This has made my bleeding problem out of control. I haven’t stopped bleeding since I got it. I went to the doctor for help with heavy bleeding, and now every day since placement has been a nightmare. It seems women have been brainwashed into thinking it’s okay to be in pain. As a woman, having this thing makes me question how much society actually cares about women. Insertion was so painful I became dizzy, nauseous, and almost passed out. I had to be given a shot for the pain before I left the office. And this is normal?! No. Advice? DON’T DO IT!"

For Birth Control "I had the Kyleena IUD inserted nearly 7 months ago. The insertion process was one of the most painful experiences of my life. I nearly passed out and threw up. Thankfully, it has done the bare minimum of preventing pregnancy (thus far). Other than that, the only other pro is not having to remember to take the pill daily and the added stress that comes along with that. As for the pain... I don't know where to start. Absolutely unbearable. I double over in pain for the first few days of my period every month. Oftentimes it is so painful that I get nauseous and lightheaded. I have seen a decrease in my flow, but I would say double or triple the amount of pain (cramps) I had prior to the IUD. I don't typically have super acne-prone skin. I haven't seen an increase or decrease in this. My boobs have shrunk from a D to a B cup and I have lost about 20 lbs. I get constant yeast infections... haven't seen much written about this. Does anyone else know anything about this? Overall, do not recommend."

For Emergency Contraception "I hope this helps, girls! I took Plan B for the first time, 6 days before ovulation, the beginning of my cycle. On 08/22, I had unprotected sex and took the pill 3 hours after that. No side effects, just felt tired and weird! A week after, I experienced sore boobs, cramps, mood swings, appetite changes, and even had a yeast infection. Then on 08/28, I started to spot, 7 days after the pill. Spotting was light, then it got a little more, I needed a pad! That lasted 4 days! Then I was fine, there was a white, thick, odorless discharge! Then a week went by, and on 09/07, I had these weird cramps and extreme bloating! It seemed like my ovulation day. Anyway, from that day, I felt weird and pregnant, with mood swings, emotional, and hungry all the time, with white and clear discharge! Anyway, on 09/17, my boobs were super sore, then cramping! I also felt nauseous, with a lot of cramping! My period was a week late! I spotted 2 days before my period, and my PERIOD IS HERE!!! 09/24, a week and a half late!!! Side effects suck! Don't stress, you will be fine!"

For Emergency Contraception "It works even after you took after ovulation! I took it within 4 hours, though, so take it ASAP. Side effects are really bad. Sore boobs, nauseous, headache, chill/shiver during sleep, cramp, back pain - I went through all these, and it was really, really bad. But the period came on the exact date that the app predicted!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took it 1 hour after unprotected sex. The first days, no symptoms. Then I had stomach pains for about 5 days. After they went away, I would wake up feeling weak and felt like throwing up when eating breakfast. After the morning, I was fine all day. This all lasted for 2 weeks, and my period came 4 days before it was due! Thank you, Plan B, so much. I was so stressed and scared, birth control will start ASAP!"
