For Birth Control "I got the Liletta in 08/2016 after experiencing a miscarriage. I've had cramping the first week, which went away, but now I have a low sex drive, acne, and weight gain. I went to a dermatologist, she prescribed facial wash, antibiotics, and suggested I remove the IUD. She also said progestin-based birth control can make acne worse. I will remove it next week. Don't use it if you don't have to."

For Birth Control "Had the IUD put in 2 weeks ago. Painful (yet quick) insertion. Cramping that night. Spotted for 4 days. Had to go back today to have it taken out. Pelvis felt inflamed. Does cause acne/oily skin, but otherwise no symptoms. Not a fan of the IUD. Unfortunately, first and last."

For Birth Control "I feel like I must share my experience, but remember every woman is different! The insertion, from the scale of 1-10, was a 9, and I have never had kids before; I am a 23-year-old female. I have never in my entire life experienced pain such as this, and that's with surgery before. Spotting and cramping after the procedure that Vicodin didn't help at all! I was told the cramping and spotting would continue for a week, so I waited and suffered. My sex drive diminished; I have been breaking out everywhere: back, neck, chest, face, and shoulders. The cramps are NOT normal period cramps; this was intense 8.2 pain cramps that 1200 mg of Advil barely helped! I put a heat pack on, and nothing helped. Getting this removed ASAP!"

For Birth Control "First, I noticed how tender my breasts got. It lasted for about a month. I bled for the first month too. I would wake up EVERY NIGHT for 7 months in a pool of sweat. The 2nd week I had a golf ball-sized cyst on my ovary. I had to take another birth control to calm it back down. I stopped that birth control after that was solved. Also, I gained 8 pounds, and I never did anything different. After stopping the second birth control, I had seriously painful acne. I had to use another birth control again to bring my skin back to normal. I finally took it out this week and am kind of very excited about that. I’m fine with the pill. Overall, it sucked for me, but I did enjoy not having a period for about 6 months!"
