Isosorbide mononitrate "Dr. started me on Imdur for angina/heart failure. After about 1 week, shortness of breath is gone, and I have no chest pain. I couldn't even turn over in bed without getting short of breath. No side effects at all. Still taking it after 6 months and feel great."

Isosorbide mononitrate "I've been taking Imdur for several years for angina, blood pressure, and other conditions, and I have never felt better. I can breathe again, no chest pains, and I can do things with my family again. After being on blood thinners for over 20 years, this has been a godsend!"

"I was exhausted and constantly gasping for breath. My cardiologist put me on isosorbide mononitrate, one pill a day. The difference was astounding. I no longer was gasping for breath and no longer had to take naps. The pill would wear off during the night, so the doctor recently changed me to two a day. I am experiencing some pretty severe headaches and dizziness when I get up too fast. The doctor had told me I would experience headaches, but they would go away eventually."

"I recently had 2 stents placed in my heart. I was put on 60 mg ER Indur. I have been on it for 30 days. The headaches are horrendous, body aches, back pain, dizziness, extreme exhaustion, mental confusion. I feel like my brain is in a constant state of confusion. The headaches are still bad 30 days later. When I stopped taking the medication, all the symptoms eventually left, including my chest pains. I might have had better results if they had started me on a lower dose. I do not want to take this medication anymore."

"Terrible, terrible headaches. I took the medicine at 4am, and it’s now 7:45am. I’m contemplating calling off from work because I’m not sure I can function. My cardiologist prescribed 120 mg. So last night I had one, and my heart rate was beating so fast. I toss all night long. Heartburn, and I felt acid reflux. The headaches are just terrible. My chest pain is gone, but the headache is still present. I’ve been without this medicine for a month, and I wonder if that’s the reason for the reaction I’m having."

"This was for the isosorbide dinitrate 20 mg tablets. This was the worst pain I ever experienced on this medication. The headaches were so unbearable and debilitating that I had to go to the emergency room. They were so severe my vision became blurry, I had 3 CT scans and an MRI done just to make sure I had intracranial bleeding. They stopped that medication along with hydralazine to bring me back to normal."

"This medication causes me to have pressure and tightness in my head, tightness in my ear, and inflammation. I take it along with hydralazine, and it does not lower my blood pressure enough. A higher dosage increases the bad symptoms."

"I'm not sure completely, but this medicine has felt like it eliminated my chest pain. I had an angina-type feeling one morning from a dead sleep, there were a couple other things too. I was overweight, eating anything and everything at all hours of the night when my symptoms started. Since I've taken this with diet, I love this med. I am wondering though why my voice has gotten raspy?"

"I am a 78-year-old with heart failure. I have been on this medication for about a month. I experienced a slight headache in the first few days, but it was gone by the end of the first week. It has been effective in relieving my angina. I would recommend it if you don't experience headaches."

"Been on this pill (isosorbide 30 mg) for 4 years with no side effects, but my legs swell sometimes. I don't know if it's the pill or not."
