For Hepatitis C "I normally never write reviews but felt I needed to considering people are reading this when deciding to take the Mavyret. I, myself, did so before taking the medication and found myself hesitant and nervous because I am super sensitive to medication. Tomorrow will be my fourth week of taking it and it has been a lot easier than I had anticipated. My side effects have been dizziness, trouble focusing, coldness, slight nausea, tiredness. I had some anxiety which is now gone. The dizziness has decreased dramatically and I can focus much better now. My body just needed to acclimate to the meds. If I can offer advice to anyone who is reading this is to prepare. Drink 16 cups of water a day. Eat crackers for nausea and eat a big meal with the meds and rest when your body needs it. Take care of your body so it can take care of you. I can only speak to my experience of the medication. For me, it has been a lot easier than I had anticipated. Don't let fear stop you. You can do this."

For Hepatitis C "I'm only on my second day of Mavyret, and it is kicking my butt. I'm not a complainer, but this medication really makes me feel out of it. Nausea, dizziness, headache, and tiredness are also side effects I'm having. I had no liver damage and had a pretty loud viral load. I'm 26 and obviously will continue treatment to cure my hep C, but it's not a pleasant feeling. I'm currently taking my medication in the morning with light food. Maybe I should switch to before bed? Is that better? 7 weeks to go! It'll be fine."

For Hepatitis C "I found I had Hep C approximately 20 years ago after being exposed to blood at the Lipid Research Center. There were the old treatments at the time, but I chose to just use milk thistle until recently. I am 65 years old and was very fearful at first, but the changes I was going through told me to do it. I was recommended Mavyret. The first 2 weeks I had some pretty bad headaches and was very tired. The headaches subsided, some nauseousness, and I was very tired. Some light sensitivity to my eyes, but mind you, none of my symptoms made me want to quit. At the 5th week, Hep C was not detectable. I finished all my medicine yesterday. I feel so much better. Even though I am 65 years old, I feel like I have a new life. Thanks for reading."

For Hepatitis C "Just got my 8-week labs back. Undetected. I’m thrilled. I’m done with treatment. Will report again three months post-treatment. As I have stated before in previous posts, the only significant side effect I had was being very tired at times. I am two weeks post-treatment, and I am back to normal. Energy levels are great. Good luck, everyone."

For Hepatitis C "My husband and I have had hep C for around 11 years. We are both healthy, we do not take any medications and are moderately active. We are starting week 4 on Mavyret. We did some research before starting and decided to take the pills at night with supper, best idea ever. It does make you feel tired when first taken. We have had no side effects. We drink plenty of water and eat healthy, as we were told to by our doctor. We are confident the next 5 weeks will be the same. Thank you, Mavyret, and good luck to everyone!"

"I've been taking Mavyret for 5 days. I have a slight headache sometimes, and I feel quite tired, but apart from that, I'm fine so far. Cool to read others' experiences with this. Seems my symptoms are fairly normal. Gonna be weird being well after 40 years, but I'm ready!!❤️❤️✌️✌️"

For Hepatitis C "This med definitely has its ups and downs. Make sure you take it with food right before bed! It will create BAD insomnia otherwise. My main symptoms were being restless, sore, nauseous, headaches, clammy, and occasional diarrhea. I was so exhausted the whole treatment. I did get a cold for about a week during it as well. I also went to the chiropractor during this treatment to help with back and body pains. I also saw a counselor during this process as well. You have to keep up with the little things that keep you sane during this process because you’ll feel depressed and miserable. Just do what you can and don’t worry about perfection right now. It’s for a short time, and soon you’ll be able to say you’re hep free like me!"

For Hepatitis C "Started 8-week Mavyret treatment on June 3, 2019. First 16 days were good. Then had flu-like conditions for 10 days. Don't think it was related to treatment. Overall, treatment has been good. I noticed I’m more tired and have a little less energy. I’ve lost weight, but that is due to the flu or virus or whatever it was! I started with a viral load of about 6 million. Got my 4-week test done, and I am now down to 15. A little disappointed it is still detected, but sometimes that happens, and I’m sure by the time I am done, it will be gone. My advice is the same as everyone else's: lots of water. I take my pills at dinnertime. The AbbVie nurse who calls to check on me is wonderful. I will be glad when all of this is just a bad memory. Good luck to everyone."

For Hepatitis C "I am 44 years old (female) and have had hep C (geno 3a) for 19 years. I started experiencing fatigue in the last 3 years, but my liver is generally in good health considering. I contracted it off my partner, who had been living with the disease since the early '80s. He had tried interferon twice, but unfortunately, he died of liver cancer 3 years ago. I am sad that he never had the opportunity to try this wonderful drug. I am now on day 9 of my 8-week treatment. A few side effects... vivid dreams first 2 days; very tired; REALLY bad nausea. It’s only 8 weeks, so I just keep trucking. After watching my partner go through horrendous side effects from interferon, I count myself very lucky. I have a lot of confidence in this new drug. Good luck to all on the treatment."

For Hepatitis C "I am on day 9 and have no side effects. Not one headache, not tired, not foggy. So far, so good. Hoping it won't develop as I go on. The only thing I have noticed is a lot of energy, almost to the point of nervous energy. On occasion, a bit shaky inside. I am not complaining. It is better than the 0 energy I had before I started. Will report more as I go."

Before this, I suffered only the runs and headaches but felt great. Going to see a doctor today to get help and reassurance."

For Hepatitis C "I've been on Mavyret for 7 days, feel tired and flu-like sick. I've had hep C genotype 3a for 8 years. I get mental fog and depression too. I can't sleep well, have a headache every day, not debilitating, but enough to irritate you. I'm blessed to have this drug, and I know people who have died from hep C, so I'm just gonna pray and take my meds."

For Hepatitis C "Started this medication 7 days ago. Unfortunately, had to discontinue the medication today. After ending up in the ER with tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and dangerously low blood pressure, my doctor and I decided it needs to be stopped. The first 3 days I had slight symptoms, just a little tired and sick to my stomach. Going into the fourth day, I began waking up out of my sleep feeling like my body was heating up. And as if I had consumed a mass amount of steroids or something. Very anxious, blurred vision, dizzy, nausea, indigestion, extreme head rush, pins and needles, numbness, and random pains all over. I was so excited to finally get approved for this medication. Now I will have to most likely fight my insurance for an alternative medicine. This is the worst reaction I have ever had to medication. I hope I can get on a different one with not so intense and dangerous side effects. I wish everyone with minimal symptoms good luck!"

For Hepatitis C "I'm on my last two weeks of taking Mavyret on an 8-week treatment. I have been feeling palpitations. Also, very tired and chills at night. The palpitations get me very nervous. I had an EKG and blood work to check my heart enzymes, everything came out okay. These palpitations started around my 4th week of treatment. But gotta keep going."

For Hepatitis C "I must say that I am thankful for finding this forum! To be able to talk about it and share is such a huge relief! I am finishing up 5 weeks this Thursday. I too experienced the slight pressure headaches, nausea, vomiting, sleeping about 3 hours, waking up and after a bit I am able to lay back down and sleep another 3 or so, dehydration, very weak and tired, very dry cough, hard time breathing, flatulence, etc. After reading your reviews, I determined that it could have been other meds. And I don't experience these symptoms all the time. I am very thankful to God for the inventor, for guidance to get it and use it! I just know in my heart, it's the cure! As said in other reviews, don't give up and don't quit trying! I will update when I am able, for sure the end results!"

Hoping it does the trick because I wouldn't want to go through this again. Other symptoms are tiredness and fatigue, with a little bit of brain fog. No headaches. Thanks, everyone, for posting, pleased I'm not the only one suffering."

For Hepatitis C "This is my second week on Mavyret, and I am truly grateful for this medication, and it was not easy to get. I went to Planet Fitness and was completely fatigued after 11 minutes of cardio. Dizzy. The last few days have been hard to walk my dogs very far or do hiking or much of anything. Lethargic and weird. Luckily, I'm self-employed, but still, it's very different than I've ever felt."

For Hepatitis C "Thank you for all of your most helpful comments; they have been priceless in setting my routine and understanding the effects of Mavyret! I have had chronic hep C for 30+ years - type 1 - with liver damage; 12 week treatment; waited many years for this treatment due to the poor results and side effects of earlier treatment regimens; day 8 and taking after dinner so as to not affect work; dehydration is real - drink up! Most disconcerting has been the odd time waking up after a few hours of sleep with a strange pressure headache - drinking water immediately seems to work for me - only lasts a couple of minutes - some wild dreaming - the other side effects are present, such as tiredness later in the day, but it is okay so far. It is early days, but I'm quite excited, but anxious also; I'm just going to take it one day at a time! Thanks again, and here is to all of us looking to the future! Cheers."

For Hepatitis C "I completed 8 weeks of Mavyret on 6/26/24. Two weeks prior, I began feeling so tired. I completed my 30-day blood work, which showed my numbers significantly decreased to greater than twelve, and my Physician said that in 3 months when I repeat my blood work, I will be completely cured. Now, 2 weeks after finishing Mavyret, I find myself very depressed, tired, crying, anxious, with brain fog. I did routine blood work with my family physician, and my blood work is abnormal. It shows my lymph absolute is high among other things. I am very sensitive to drugs. I hope and pray that Mavyret has cured my Hep C and not caused me any other harm. I question why my blood work changed, as prior to Mavyret, I had none of these issues. I am concerned about the effects. I hope I didn't make a wrong decision. I just want my happiness back. Please do your research. Reviews on this site showed that I'm not alone."

For Hepatitis C "I was genotype 1 and finished my last 12-week dose of Mavyret on July 5th, 2018. It worked great but felt really tired all the time and have gained 30 lbs. I still don't have very much energy and want to eat a lot. I am normally not like this, used to walk a lot and was full of energy. Hope I can get back to that. I will get checked again in October for my 3-month checkup."

For Hepatitis C "I have been on for a week and 2 days. I get minor headaches, but I start to drink water when it happens, and it goes away quickly. As the days go on, I am getting more and more tired. I just feel weak and have zero motivation to do anything. I can't think straight-my thoughts just feel very cloudy (like I've taken steroids). I'm feeling too weak to do anything besides laying around, which has me feeling depressed. Feeling so tired and not being able to think straight makes me not want to be around anyone, which makes my social anxiety worse. I am really hoping that I start feeling better as the days come. I am truly grateful for the chance to try this medicine, and I am by no means complaining. I am just expressing how I feel. I've been struggling with Hep C since 2006 and am so thankful it is nothing like the Interferon treatment because that was so awful."

For Hepatitis C "I've been taking Mavyret for 3 weeks now. The first 5 days were pretty rough. Extreme tiredness and headache, as well as becoming winded when I'm just sitting there. Side effects now aren't as bad but still tired and headaches, and after I take them, my ears get super red and hot. Oh, and I had massive hot and cold flashes, waking up soaked in sweat. It seems each day is getting easier but still, this stuff is potent! It has got to be to get rid of the virus, right? I'm super grateful for it even though it makes me feel icky. I was so scared to start it due to the side effects, but I'm almost halfway there, so I think I've made it past the hardest parts! Another thing, it makes me super light and sound sensitive. Anyone else have that issue?"

For Hepatitis C "Early 60's. No health issues except Hep C virus found during older age checkup and blood work. No clue how long I've had HCV or how I was infected, as no blood transfusions or IV drug use in my history. Just started week 7 of 8-week Mavyret treatment. Had 4 million + viral load. Undetectable at 4-week viral load test. Only side effects are tiredness, gas, occasional acid indigestion, and light headache. All easy to deal with, as none are severe. Getting a HCV undetectable at only 4 weeks is sure happy news. Will post 8-week results and the 12-week after treatment end viral load results when I get them. Happy to be lucky enough to get the Mavyret treatment and have such positive results so fast. Hope many others have the same experience."

For Hepatitis C "I've had genotype 3 Hepatitis C since 2012. I've never showed any side effects from having the Hep C. I started the Mavyret treatment on July 15th, 2018. I'm on my first day of week 5 today. The only side effect I'm having is extreme tiredness and gaining weight. I can sleep the entire day if you let me. On the bright side, I went in for my 4-week check-up and my levels dropped from 85 to 18 within the first 4 weeks of treatment! My liver is back to normal!!!! But I'm really tired writing this and need to go back to sleep."
