For Hepatitis C "I just started my 2nd week of Mavyret. For the first 4 days, I felt like I ate a bunch of Benadryl. I am still tired, but not as bad as my first few days. I also had some strange dreams and woke up screaming one night. I hope the tiredness goes away. It sucks when you got to work, but it's manageable. I just sleep when I'm home. I have been drinking plenty of water and haven't had any headaches. Fingers crossed! I'll post an update at another time."

For Hepatitis C "I just finished my first week of an 8-week treatment. I have had some depression and tiredness with this medication. The worst side effect so far has been pain in my upper back and feet. After the first 4 days, it seemed to not be as bad. Nothing Tylenol or ibuprofen hasn't taken care of. Will update in week 4."

For Hepatitis C "This is the first week of medication. My main complaints are overall tiredness, cannot sleep well, and very itchy skin. But you have to lose a few to gain something. I will post in detail after 4 weeks, waiting for the 1st month lab work."

For Hepatitis C "I have genotypes 2 and 3. After 4 weeks, my viral load was undetectable. On my 6th week now, side effects are no energy and tingling skin. I feel like I have a rash around my belly, although no rash is visible. It does seem to be working. Very grateful to the V.A."

For Hepatitis C "I found that I was extremely dehydrated when taking the meds, which I expected. The only issue was that I was so dehydrated that I was unable to take any traditional allergy medications during seasonal allergy season. I tried using corticosteroids like Flonase, but the side effects were too intense (nervous, unable to sleep, etc.). The medication also produced quite a bit of swelling and pain in my midsection. It was in the area of my liver and kidneys. Lots of back pain. I enjoyed the tiredness, as I usually don't sleep well."

For Hepatitis C "I am in another week of treatment. The first month went well, and lab tests showed no detection of the virus. This week, I have an intense headache and am very tired, groggy. I hope these side effects don't last. 7 1/2 weeks to go."

For Hepatitis C "I’ve been diagnosed with Hep C in 2002. I’m going on 3 weeks taking Mavyret, and I’ve had very mild headaches here and there, tiredness the first few days, so I started taking them in the evenings so I’ll be tired when it’s time to go to bed. I’m just anxious to get the end results after completing the 8 weeks of treatment."

For Hepatitis C "The first day of treatment was okay. Tiredness, body temp elevated, changed effectiveness of gabapentin, hands itch. Second day tiredness, elevated body temp, different effectiveness of gabapentin, the itching spreads to my feet but tolerated with ice. Third day same. The itching has spread to my torso, my joints in my hands and feet are so severe with itching that ice baths are not working and I am in agony, I have to stop the medication."

For Hepatitis C "It has now been 1 full year after being treated with Mavyret, and I'm still hep C free! The first three days of taking this med were pretty rough, definitely eat (I kept saltines by me and munched those as much as possible) and drink a lot of liquids! After that, I just felt tired a lot, but it was completely worth it. I have a new sense of freedom and just feel so grateful and relieved."

For Hepatitis C "It all started with a strange feeling in the stomach area, nausea but no vomiting, then continued anxiety-like depressive symptoms in parallel, a rash on the inside of the hand, and constant cracking of the lips and even bleeding, and finally fatigue, lethargy, and absolute lack of strength. I have not had an appetite for 4 years and lost about 10 kg, from 68 kg to 58 kg. ALT and AST liver enzyme indicators were raised, so hepatitis tests were done, and the diagnosis was hepatitis C 1GEN. I got Mavyret for 8 weeks of treatment, which is financed in the EU. The strangest thing is that doctors deny my side effect symptoms. I decided to take the medicine in the evening with dinner, it is very important to drink plenty of water throughout the day, eat healthy, and avoid alcohol. I hardly felt any side effects except weakness, diarrhea, and nausea. It is now 4 months after treatment, I am still being treated for liver fibrosis F2 and often have diarrhea. I hope it will pass, and I feel so good. Therefore, the disease is not as innocent as the doctor."

For Hepatitis C "I found out 2 months ago that I had Hep C since 2016. I had moved from the area, and my doctor claimed they tried to contact me. After 5 years of not going to a doctor and being in my now late 50s, I decided to get some blood work to just make sure everything was okay. Several friends acquired type 2 diabetes around my age, so blood work seemed like a great idea. I was never so shocked in my life when I was told I had Hep C. I had put my past behind me and worked very hard to get to where I am in life now. I still haven't told my friends or family members because there is a stigma attached to Hep C. Well, after being on Mavyret for 2 weeks, my lab results just came back Not Detected. I experienced extreme tiredness, sleep paralysis, and horrible nightmares for the first week. Now the only side effect is tiredness. I mean zero energy. The nurse told me after 2 weeks I should have a sudden burst of energy. I'm still tired and have 6 weeks left, but I'm thankful there's a cure."

For Hepatitis C "I'm on week 2 of Mavyret. I take it at 9 pm with a meal and drink plenty of fluids. So far, it seems to be working alright. The side effects I've experienced have been nausea, a slight headache, and tiredness. It has seemed that my menstrual cycle is heavier than normal, but I think it's due to the meds and my body fighting the hep C. I should be getting blood work done once I finish the first half of treatment. I will update and let everyone know how things are going."

For Hepatitis C "After testing positive for hepatitis C last October, I got in touch with a liver specialist, and after much waiting and anticipation, I finally got my Mavyret. I will be on treatment for 8 weeks. I took my first dose last night, and besides being a little tired, I feel great and so hopeful. I'm so blessed to be able to have the cure. I got very lucky and have not sustained any liver fibrosis, even though I'm pretty sure I've been infected for at least 9 years, so I anticipate this to be successful! When I got my positive result, I thought it was a death sentence, so I'm so excited to have a second chance at life!!!"

For Hepatitis C "I didn't start having side effects until about 4-5 weeks into the medication. It seems like 19-24 hours when my next dose is due. That's the worst time for the side effects, it's weird. But then I take the medication, I'm okay. But I wake up, I feel a little bit achy in my joints. Like my ankles, hands, back, knees. I have a headache, and it only gets worse through the day. I take my medication at night because I work 12-hour shifts. But after I take it, I feel better. My sex drive has increased, though. I feel sick, lightheaded. Worrying, I worry already, so... I just wish my bones wouldn't hurt and I didn't have the sick, tired feeling."

For Hepatitis C "I am on my 5th week of the 8-week treatment of Mavyret. I am also on 140 mgs of methadone as well. The side effects I've experienced are nausea, anxiety, slight headache, and tiredness. I've been taking my medication in the morning with breakfast, and within a few hours, I feel tired and nauseous. After reading the reviews on here, I am going to change my time and take it at bedtime, and maybe that will help. Otherwise, I am very hopeful and am staying positive to beat this hep C. Thanks, everyone, for your posts."

For Hepatitis C "I started Mavyret 4 weeks and a few days ago, so I am a little over halfway through. (I was given an 8-week prescription.) I am a 34-year-old woman. I am not sure how long I have had Hep C, but it has been 5 years or less. I had zero liver damage when tested. My experience with Mavyret has been not too bad, some days I feel completely normal and fine, other days I feel like I was hit by a bus, body aches, super tired, no energy, nauseous, and I have had diarrhea as well. All in all, the side effects have been tolerable. I am hoping when I am finished with the 8 weeks, I will no longer have to deal with the side effects of this medication."

For Hepatitis C "I'm 5 days in. Thanks, everyone, I don't feel alone. I read reviews before I started too. I was nervous, but it is no big deal. I'm tired, but like a dude said, I'm tired anyway. I have my blood work May 15, so I will post. My hands, the joints, and my feet hurt before medication. Is it Hep C related? I'm a 49-year-old male, I had this for 20 years."
