For Hepatitis C "The side effects didn’t start until the third week. It started with diarrhea and acid reflux. Then I started feeling joint pain in my neck, shoulders, and hip. The side effects became so severe that I called the prescribing doctor and was told that it could not be the drug. It was just coincidence I had to stop taking the medicine at six weeks and now I’m unable to walk still one month after stopping."

For Hepatitis C "I am on day 9 and have no side effects. Not one headache, not tired, not foggy. So far so good. Hoping it won't develop as I go on. The only thing I have noticed is a lot of energy. Almost to the point of a nervous energy. On occasion a bit shaky inside. I am not complaining. It is better than the 0 energy I had before I started. Will report more as I go."

For Hepatitis C "So I just took the 1st days pills for week 3. The very 1st 3 days were the worst so far with the most side effects. However those we're mild compared to the complications the hep c causes on it's own. I do have brain fog daily within 2 hours of taking my pills with that peaking by late afternoon. Sometimes if I don't eat enough through the day I get a mild ill tummy. Easy fix. I suffer from daily & weekly headaches & migraines. But I've noticed twice I've had new style migraine which I'm assuming was from medication. Easily fixed with some Excedrin & extra fluids. I'll come back to comment again prob after week 4 blood work when I'll have real results of if I'm responding for you. I would like to add this; I went in this knowing despite being told no side effects. I very well could be sick all 8 weeks & sicker then I've ever been. I was willing to do that just to finally be well. So if that's your fear keeping you from getting treated. Just do it. Weeks compared to decades sick & death are worth it."

For Hepatitis C "I was diagnosed in 2012 was advised not to seek treatment as new meds were coming out. Took me until now, 2019, to put enough clean time together to be approved for meds. I’m on my last two days of an eight week treatment. Blood works done four days ago shows I have cleared the Hep C!! Have experienced extreme fatigue and light headaches. First week felt flu-ish. Wondering how long after stopping did other people notice their fatigue end? My doc swears that it’s immediate, and that I will also see how tired the hep C was making me prior to treatment. So grateful for this medication; also grateful it was covered by insurance."

For Hepatitis C "Took my first dose of Mavyret for my hep C on March 1, around 6 pm with a healthy dinner and plenty of water and then I waited to be hit with the side effects like a locomotive, like 9 years ago with interferon/ribavirin. Nothing! I slept fine and woke feeling fine. I have just finished my first two weeks and I can't say enough about this miracle. I have had no side effects to speak of. Perhaps a little head ache, not enough to need an aspirin and not constant but I had a head cold at the time so it might have just been sinus congestion. I am approved for 8 weeks on Mavyret. Labs in two weeks, but my doc said she'd bet I'm undetectable already. It's the miracle we've been waiting for. I also thank the HealthWell Foundation for a grant to cover the cost of this medicine."

For Hepatitis C "I am currently in week 4 and am starting to have the worst side affects such as tiredness, fever sweating, nausea, body aches and pains along with bowel issues. Before this I suffered only the runs and headaches but felt great. Going to see a dr today to get help and reassurance."

For Hepatitis C "Took Mavyret in 2017-2018. It definitely made me nauseous, but nothing too bad. It's probably mainly due to the giant pills. Eat it with a big dinner; that seemed to help. It's all worth it because it works. I didn't get follow-up blood work until recently (no good excuse) because my liver levels always came back normal, so I assumed I was clear (please don't do this; still, I was very careful). But found out I am completely cured thanks to Mavyret, and that makes the side effects and giant pills worth it (9/10 just because of those things)."

For Hepatitis C "After 8 weeks of Mavyret, I was cured. No sides to speak of. However, the day I stopped Mavyret, I felt out of sorts. A general malaise. Now it's been one week, and it's gotten worse. Plus I feel depression coming on. Cured of hep c, but feel like ... garbage. It's weird."

For Hepatitis C "Day 5 for me. Feeling a bit fatigued but nothing that a short nap won't fix. No other symptoms. I'm a 77 year old woman with type #3. Have probably had Hep C for over 30 years. Just became stage 2. Going to do treatment for 8 weeks. Best advise is: Lots of water and a good size meal before taking the drug. I'm also walking and stretching and painting and cooking really good food. Good luck to all. I'm so grateful to be able to get this treatment. Will check in in a few weeks with my progress."

For Hepatitis C "I was supposed to take Mavyret for 12 weeks but the insurance stopped me after 8 unexpectedly. My first blood work shows undetected so I'm very excited and hopeful my 12 week labs will say the same. I couldn't get more than two hours of sleep at a time on this drug. I went back to pretty normal sleep patterns about a month after. I had pretty intense depression for the last two weeks of treatment, but recognized it was the meds and got through it. I'm so grateful for the miracle of this medication. Good luck to all of you! This med cures pretty much everyone. I had hep c for around 30 years."

For Hepatitis C "I just got approved. I have been sick for several years and have not worked for 2 years ! When you get sick it truly robs you of any quality of life. I will be starting my meds this week and will share my experience. Took a year and 3 months to get approved. Only because I had a doctor who didn't care if I ever got my meds. My new Doctor got me approved in a month. You need a HepC Doctor who specifically works with HepC only."

For Hepatitis C "I am just in the first week of treatment. I contracted Hep C about 4 years ago and had a heck of a time finally getting approved for the medication. I am so grateful to have found this page and feedback because I have been giving myself anxiety about possible side effects as I live a very active lifestyle. So far though the only symptom I have been dealing with is a mental fog of sorts, perhaps it is due to fatigue, I didn't notice anyone else mention that so I thought I would throw it out there. I am so excited to beat this thing and close out a chapter of my life as well as sharing my experience with other people. I will check back in as my treatment progresses. Love you all and God bless!"

For Hepatitis C "I cannot recommend this medication enough. I am 51 years old and have been living with hep C since my mid-20's sometime. My insurance turn me down for harvoni twice. I needed a cure otherwise this disease was going to eventually kill me. I got on Mavyret. The side effects that I occurred were few slight headache which got relieved with drinking water and one time I needed to take an ibuprofen. A little bit of gas but really nothing major. At 4 weeks blood test I was undetectable and started with an eight million liver count. I had another blood test at 8 weeks I was still undetectable for the hep C virus. Hallelujah thank God for this medication. My life now has a whole new meaning. If you're straddling the fence about this drug get off of the fence and start your recovery. I highly recommend this medication to anybody suffering from hep C."

For Hepatitis C "So, I am checking back in. Most important thing. If you can receive Mavyret Do it! I had a tinge of small headache. After 5 days every single day got better. Not even one headache. Didn't even feel punishable. Gained weight. So what... Regained this energy, I had not idea how or why that happened. Fast forward 6 weeks . I was at a 6.9 million viral load. Results came today. Zero viral load. All results MINUS. ALT and AST numbers drastically changed. I feel so blessed! If you get side effects and have the ability to give any side effects to MAVYRET please take the time to do it. It goes privately into a database and is used to help others. I gave this a ten. Please do it. If you can you should. Amazing outcome, amazing results, amazing life! "

For Hepatitis C "I was diagnosed in 1990’s with Hep C, I never addressed it as I had no insurance and never felt bad. I’m 57 now and in the past year I feel like I have aged 10 years. I have felt so weak and no get up and go. Well I started Mayvret knowing that I would feel worse before I felt better. 1st 2 weeks very little side effects. Now with 38 days to go I have a burning throat, lead legs and all of a sudden I have huge red blisters on my right foot and left hand. I called prescribing Dr and he said he didn’t think it was from the meds. Now I read on here other people that have numerous red bumps that I best describe as blisters. Skin is super sensitive around them. Please if anymore have experience with this please post."

For Hepatitis C "I am 6 weeks post mavyret treatment. My last blood work proved I was hepatitis c, free. During treatment, I experienced A LOT of fatigue and drowsiness. I chose to take mavyret after a GOOD supper. Then soon after would retire to bed. I experienced a severe lack of appetite. I had to force myself to eat. My diet mainly consumed of yogurt and lots of water because I was experiencing dehydration. At this point I have increased energy. It is almost unbelievable the increased energy I am experiencing. Also, my depression is practically obsolete. My pain is down from a 10 to a 4. I highly recommend mavyret treatment. My 12 week blood work is due in 3 weeks, I will let you know my results. Best wishes to everyone attempting to recover from hepatitis c."

For Hepatitis C "I've been on Mavyret for 7 days feel tired and flu like sick. I've had hep c genotype 3a for 8 years. I get mental fog and depression too. I can't sleep well, have a headache every day not debilitating but enough to irritate you. I'm blessed to have this drug and I know people who have died from Hep C so I'm just gonna pray and take my meds"

For Hepatitis C "I've shared before when I first started back in July. The medication worked amazingly. I was so afraid I wouldn't get an undetected after the 60 day treatment. The day came and I was still detectable. The doctor said your blood work shows it worked for you, my numbers dropped to almost zero viral load. I was told even though the Mayvert was done, to come back for another blood test in 30 days. It probably will come back undetected. I said how, the medication is gone, she said because with this new medication it seems to continue to work with the genotype 3. I was unsure and afraid I'd need to start another round of a different medication. I didn't. It came back undetected. Moral of the story. If this medication is taken properly, you are clearing but not to undetectable status, do not fear. After you're done, for a month it still is working. Zero side effects too. Simply amazing. Blessed. Good luck"

For Hepatitis C "Well I have 4 more days left of Mavyret treatment. I was expecting a treatment similar to Interferon but thats not what this is. It makes you feel a little like you are on benadryl or something. One morning I got up and puked and my throat felt real scratchy but only seemed to last for 1 day three weeks in. I can't say I've had serious side effects, however I didn't get any headaches. I find taking it with a bag of microwave popcorn to be the best. I won't find out if it actually worked for another month when I go get labs done. However, I've made it to the point where there are 4 packages and have not missed a day of taking the medication. So hopefully it worked."

For Hepatitis C "I'm on my 3rd week of treatment. I'm experiencing terrible fatigue, nausea, flu like symptoms but not 24/7. Sleeping only 2-3 hrs a night. Got 5 more weeks to go before I will know if I'm cleared. Diagnosed in 2005. Tried the Pegasus treatment and only lasted 8 weeks. This is not as severe. Gotta stay hydrated though and I need to take little naps but I think I can get through this one. Prayers for success"
