For Hepatitis C "Started this medication 7 days ago. Unfortunately, had to discontinue the medication today. After ending up in the ER with tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and dangerously low blood pressure, my doctor and I decided it needs to be stopped. The first 3 days I had slight symptoms, just a little tired and sick to my stomach. Going into the fourth day, I began waking up out of my sleep feeling like my body was heating up. And as if I had consumed a mass amount of steroids or something. Very anxious, blurred vision, dizzy, nausea, indigestion, extreme head rush, pins and needles, numbness, and random pains all over. I was so excited to finally get approved for this medication. Now I will have to most likely fight my insurance for an alternative medicine. This is the worst reaction I have ever had to medication. I hope I can get on a different one with not so intense and dangerous side effects. I wish everyone with minimal symptoms good luck!"

For Hepatitis C "I must say that I am thankful for finding this forum! To be able to talk about it and share is such a huge relief! I am finishing up 5 weeks this Thursday. I too experienced the slight pressure headaches, nausea, vomiting, sleeping about 3 hours, waking up and after a bit I am able to lay back down and sleep another 3 or so, dehydration, very weak and tired, very dry cough, hard time breathing, flatulence, etc. After reading your reviews, I determined that it could have been other meds. And I don't experience these symptoms all the time. I am very thankful to God for the inventor, for guidance to get it and use it! I just know in my heart, it's the cure! As said in other reviews, don't give up and don't quit trying! I will update when I am able, for sure the end results!"

For Hepatitis C "I start my final 8th week tomorrow. I also had the pleasure of experiencing the old ribavirin and interferon in 2007 following an unwanted transfusion in 1999. Anyway, enough history! I must say this treatment is a far better experience than the former. I have had come and go expected symptoms from the beginning. One thing I find different is I have severe light sensitivity with my headaches. And as I get closer to the finish line, the common symptoms seem to be worse, not better. I am pretty much a couch potato with very little energy. Nausea and urgent diarrhea that prevent me from going too far from home! I am undetectable at 4 weeks. I hope you all have success in the cure. Bear in mind, you CAN be reinfected, and even with a"

For Hepatitis C "I've just completed my first month of Mavyret, and unfortunately, I have had severe nausea every day of the treatment to the point where I can't even get out of bed. Hoping it does the trick because I wouldn't want to go through this again. Other symptoms are tiredness and fatigue, with a little bit of brain fog. No headaches. Thanks, everyone, for posting, pleased I'm not the only one suffering."

For Hepatitis C "Just finished 8 weeks on Mavyret, few headaches, but I had nausea all the way through and really bad stomach problems. It didn’t seem to matter if I’d eaten little and often. I struggled eating properly at all in the whole 8 weeks. But now I’m done, I’m feeling better in myself, more energy, just generally well for the first time in 15 years. I have type 2 diabetes and it didn’t interfere at all. So grateful."

For Hepatitis C "This is day 8 for me. Realizing we are all unique physically... wanted to share how well I am doing with side effects. I can handle Mavyret. I do sleep/rest about 14 to 16 hours a day and have brain fog. We have noticed some memory issues, brain fog - yet I am happy. I do have chills, muscle aches, nausea - very mild, no diarrhea or headaches, more like head pain of some sort at times. Also, oddly I am constipated. Not much side effects for the amount of benefits. I'm happy. Will continue to keep you updated. Thank you to all who post. Really helps us."

For Hepatitis C "Diagnosed with Hep C genotype 3a in 2010. Started Mavyret (8 wk course) in Feb. 2018. I did get super nauseous on my first dose, but I believe I did not eat enough with the pills. I suggest taking the pills with a good-sized meal (I took mine at noon). I had no problems when I did that. My only side effect was some gas, and that was only for the last couple of weeks (and trust me, my boyfriend suffered more than I did). My viral load was undetectable after 1 week. Just did my 3-month post-treatment blood test, and I am Hep C free!!! Gone baby gone!! Don't be anxious to start treatment, do it, and get your life back."

For Hepatitis C "During the 8-week course, I had some nausea, stomach issues, fatigue, and tiredness. I took the 3 pills regularly at 7 pm with my dinner meal. My blood work showed the virus was undetectable after 2 weeks. At completion, I did not regain my energy and needed to rest in the morning and again tired in late afternoon, gradually, within 2 months, the fatigue got worse, and I have an achy neck and shoulder. The virus is still undetectable, so why am I still feeling tired?"

For Hepatitis C "Took 8 weeks. I am on hemodialysis. No other meds except for a phosphorus binder with meals. BW shows no virus in my system at the end of treatment!! Worst side effects for me: fatigue (horrible, almost impossible not to take naps during the day); slight headaches (I normally never have them); stomach cramps, which became worse as treatment progressed, a constant gnawing pain in the belly accompanied by some nausea (best to take dose on a FULL stomach - yogurt and cereal in the a.m. is NOT enough); cloudy mind, no motivation, moderate depression, living in a 'dreamworld' (this was the worst for me and kind of slips in and takes you over, a feeling of never waking up from a dream, left of center, distanced from everyone, irritable, somewhat hopeless). Lastly, I had looser stools than normal and a lot of flatulence along with night sweats and tingling skin at times, which included numbness in both arms often when sleeping. BUT all that said, I am SUPER HAPPY I did this. It was worth the eight weeks of 'hell.'"

For Hepatitis C "The side effects were so horrible I will not finish this medication. Period. If you want the worst headaches, migraines, nausea so bad you cannot even eat all day, blurry vision, and flu symptoms x10, go ahead, but personally, I will take my chances with the disease. I cannot believe they didn’t make a better drug with all the technology they have. No way. I have to work! I cannot be laid up dying for 8 weeks with no guarantee it would even help me?"

For Hepatitis C "I'm on my final week of my 8-week program. Looking forward to seeing the end of the medication. My side effects are real but not unbearable. Nausea and sore joints. About 3 hours after my evening dose, I feel unwell and fatigued, but it's manageable. Have had some anxious moments and mild mood events. Again, all manageable based on wanting to end this illness. In the next week, I expect to have blood tests and look forward to a positive outcome. Knowing what I know now, I would jump at this treatment plan. The positive outweighs the negative by far. I would recommend this treatment."

For Hepatitis C "I’m just finishing up my 3rd week. No headache and nausea. Tired, but that’s my usual with Hep C. For the past few days, I have been experiencing tingling in my fingers and numbness in my left arm and on the left side of my face. I will be making a doctor's appointment to make sure that there is nothing else causing this issue. All I know is that I didn’t have this numbness and tingling before I started Mavyret, so hopefully it’s just a side effect."

For Hepatitis C "I was diagnosed with chronic hep C in June due to being very ill. I am finally being treated now in February. I am miserable. I can't get out of bed most days. I wake to eat dinner about 6 pm with the medicine. Then I try staying up a couple of hours, and I doze off. My left side hurts so bad at night it puts me in tears. So I sit in the shower with the hottest water possible to numb the pain. I am told 8 weeks of this. I never got headaches, and now they are so severe, lasting most of the night, or I wake to them as I try and sleep off the pain. I just hurt and ache. Before, I was nauseous and couldn't eat much. Now it's the opposite. This is the hardest thing I've had to deal with in my life. I honestly hope this is done and gone soon."

For Hepatitis C "First day of the second week. So far, I am not experiencing abnormal fatigue. I didn't with Hep C and am not now. I take it at 6 pm with a meal. My main side effects are nasty headaches that so far have stayed the same, not worsened. (I may not be drinking enough water), almost no nausea, some abdominal discomfort, some itching, and the flu/cold-like symptoms that I see people are having. I feel warm after taking, but no fever, no rash, no swelling, no difficulty swallowing, but my mouth feels like when you eat spicy food for 4-5 hours after taking. This has not worsened, and I told the nurse in the Mavyret Nurse Ambassador program about it. About 11:30 pm, I take Ambien and go to sleep. Ambien is the only thing that helps the headache so I can sleep. The doctor's office knows I take Ambien. The mornings are when I feel the best. But the headache comes back at some point. I'm retired, so I don't have to go to a job, and I'm glad of that!"

For Hepatitis C "Second day on Mavyret, and I give 10 stars. The side effects for me are brain fog, fatigue, nausea, body aches, as well as cold and hot flashes. I can feel the medication in my body. It's all tolerated!!! I am a person who is intolerant and allergic to many medications. I was so fearful, and now I can't stop smiling. I'm hopeful to clear this virus and will write more in a few weeks. Thank you to all who created Mavyret."

For Hepatitis C "I'm 3 weeks into a 12-week treatment. The first couple of weeks were up, down, headache, nausea, fatigue. Third week much better. I find it's much easier if you stay hydrated. Not just a little bit, I'm talking at least a gallon of water a day. Sometimes more. I take my dose right before bed with a snack so I sleep through a lot of the beginning side effects. It works for me. Also, high-fat meals make absorption much better. Good luck, all."

For Hepatitis C "First 8 days complete, on my second packet, had a lot of anxiety around when to take and how I would feel after reading so much about possible side effects. Thankful that after a week, I feel just about the same, very mild headache, rated 1-2 out of 10, don't really notice, no nausea, no insomnia. Feel a bit cold a couple hours after I take them, not sure if it's my head, but it's consistent. I am fully functional and energy is great!"

For Hepatitis C "I was diagnosed with Hep C almost 2 years ago and have been taking Mavyret for a week now. I am having nausea, fatigue, hot flashes, and hair loss. I’m good other than that. Does anyone know if the symptoms get better the longer you are on the medicine? I am so very blessed that my insurance covered this medicine. I hope the Mavyret is working well for you all."

For Hepatitis C "In 2 days, I have finished 4 weeks of 8-week treatment on Mavyret. I didn't know I had hep C until it showed up on a blood test. Minor side effects with Mavyret: slight nausea, aches, and pains. Waking up at 4:30 a.m. every morning, very emotional, tired, really tired some days, starting to experience hair loss. Really vivid dreams. I think I would have had hep C since 1976. I was terrified of taking Mavyret, but it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be."

For Hepatitis C "I started my medication on Jan 25th, 2019. I was diagnosed with Hep C 5 years ago and finally sought treatment after having 2 kids. Right now, I'm currently on week 5 of my treatment. I barely have side effects, and I have noticed an increase in my energy. The first 2 weeks, I had no side effects. Around the start of my 3rd week, I started to experience slight headaches and occasional nausea. I noticed if I snack all day and eat 30 minutes prior to taking the medication, I have no side effects at all. I also have been staying pretty hydrated. So far, things have been good, and I have 3 weeks left on my 8-week regimen. Just praying and hoping this works. But I do have hope in this."

For Hepatitis C "I’m on my second week of this 8-week course. I was born with Hep C because my birth mom used. I’ve had this dark cloud over me since I was 11 years old when we found out I am now thirty. Two of my siblings have had the treatments and got cured!! I am hopeful my oldest brother told me to drink lots of water and stay out of the sun!! He got severe burns. Well, it’s week two. I’m really tired, starting to have a hard time eating. I feel nauseous when I do, and I have started to feel like I have a sunburn on my face, but I haven’t gone outside!! Anyone else? I take my meds at 8 pm every night. Maybe I should just increase my water intake! I’ll update next week!"

For Hepatitis C "I'm at the end of my 2nd week of treatment. Before Mavyret, I couldn't eat due to nausea. I ate, on average, 3 days per week. And I couldn't sleep due to nausea. On average, I slept 10-12 hrs a week. I contracted Hep C when I was 19 from a dirty tattoo needle. I'm now 57, and this is my 2nd attempt at beating it. Since I've been taking this medication, I am able to eat 2x a day again, and I (take them just before bed with milk) sleep at least 5 hrs a day! To me, this is a very big deal. My energy has increased, there have been some emotional ups and downs, but not too bad. I have been experiencing itching, however. Not too bad thus far, but I still am somewhat concerned. I will continue to post as treatment goes along. Thanks for reading, and best of luck to you with your treatment."

For Hepatitis C "I've been on Mavyret for 5 weeks. So far, several light headaches, intensely itchy feet sometimes that drive me mad! And rare bouts of intense, but brief nausea. Once or twice, I've had huge thirst outrages. No blood tests yet, will update then. Life is pretty much normal, and treatment has been a doddle overall. Oh, I have had the odd vertigo and tiredness. One day I slept 5 hours, that was once. Had hep C for 30 years, since a teen, genotype 3A. My viral load was only 95,000."

For Hepatitis C "Hep C genotype 3a Mavyret 12-week only treatment for Hep C, hopefully the last. No side effects except when I would dose with no food. I would experience a little bit of nausea and had some weight loss for the first 4-6 weeks. After 4 weeks, not detectable. I believe my levels were 40,000 with some slight scarring of my liver. 8-10 weeks, I noticed lingering bouts of anxiety and depression. I am on my last week of the 12-week treatment, and I am experiencing absolutely no energy or drive to do anything. I’m thinking it’s some depression from the medicine, I’m hoping so. I am also five months clean off of heroin, so maybe that has something to do with it, I’m not sure. All in all, I’m grateful and would definitely recommend the treatment."
