Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "My husband started Mayvret about 3 weeks or so ago. He is so exhausted and dead on his feet. He also has been having extreme back pain. Is this normal? it seems like if it isn't "normal," it's not terribly uncommon."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I have had hep c for 22 years, I am 39 years old. It's chronic with inflammation and scaring. My geno type is 1a. I have been taking mavyret for 6 days now. I have had many side effect. Chills, dizziness, nausea, achy joints. It changes from day to day for me. Yesterday was the worst day for me, then today I woke up feeling descent and as the day progressed I had more energy than I have had in many years. So far this drug has not had any thing bad enough to make me wish I didn't start. I am so excited to hopefully be free of this. I will give an update at my half way point."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I’ve just finished my Mavyret treatment last Monday and would like to share my experience. I did 4 months treatment because my genotype 3 plus a previous unsuccessful interferon, rebavirin treatment. I started Mavyret back in February and the only big issue I had was dizziness specifically at night after 2 weeks. This symptom persisted for a few days and then disappeared. I felt dizziness once again during the second month for very few days and then never more. I may have felt fatigue a few occasions but I’m not entirely sure it had to do with the treatment. After the first two weeks my virus load was almost undetectable and after a month it was negative. It’s pretty amazing. I’ve done a new blood test today and will do it again in 3 months and 6 months . Fingers crossed it will be negative. If you are afraid of starting this treatment, don’t be. Your body gets used and I swear you don’t feel anything after a while. Good luck everyone."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I started Mavyret 1 month ago. My Dr. wanted labs at 3 weeks which I thought was strange but whatever. I saw her Friday and I am so happy to say at only 3 weeks the virus is undetectable!! I still have 5 weeks of treatment and that's fine with me because I actually love the side affects. I have a cup of greek yogurt or rice pudding in the morning before I take it so no upset belly. Thank you to the inventors of Mavyret!!"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Hello all. I just finished the 8 week course of Mayvret. On May 6th 2021. I am 40 yrs old and have had Hep C for about 14 years. During treatment I had some mild side effects until the last week of taking it. I have bad insomnia, high stress levels Bad heart palpitations and I feel hot but no fever. This has continued from the last week I took the meds right throught to now which as of this writing it is Weds May 19th 2021. I had no issues with my heart at all since before I started Mayvret. My stress levels are through the roof and my heart rate is either high or my blood pressure is high. My heart has been pounding hard since the last week of Mayvret. I feel like I was deceived into taking an experimental drug. If some of you have heart problems after taking and finishing Mayvret please comment here and let me know what issues you have had so I can figure out what is going on with me. Thank you for your time."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I'm on my last two weeks of taking Mavyret on an 8 week treatment. I have been feeling palpitations. Also very tired and chills at night. The palpitations get me very nervous. I had an EKG and blood work to check my heart enzymes, everything came out ok. These palpitations started around my 4th week of treatment. But gotta keep going."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "This forum is great. I do not have hepatitis C but my husband does. He is really struggling with the lack of sleep, nausea and irritability. He works road construction and long days. I appreciate your wisdom, as he is a quiet man and doesn’t share much. This has helped me understand Mavyret, effects on a person and your wisdom has been invaluable, so hopefully I can be more empathetic with the struggle he is going through. Originally he told me we’d need to come up with $100,000.00 but so far we've paid is $200.00. Thank you!"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Hey there I just started my treatment of this medication two days ago. I was so nervous and so excited at the same time. I am feeling a little nauseous, and my skin is pretty itchy, now idk if that’s from winter dry skin or a side effect. I can’t wait to be cured, I just hope after this is over that I feel better because right now I feel awful !! Praying for a speedy and effective treatment !! I’ll tell again in a few weeks how I’m feeling. Thanks for reading.."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I start my final 8th week tomorrow. I also had the pleasure of experiencing the old ribaviron and interferon in 2007 following an unwanted transfusion in 1999. Anyway, enough history! I must say this treatment is a far better experience than the former. I have had come and go expected symptoms from the beginning. One thing I find different is I have severe light sensitivity with my headaches. And as I get closer to the finish line the common symptoms seem to be worse/ not better. I am pretty much a couch potato with very little energy. Nausea and urgent diarrhea that prevents me from going to far from home! I am undetectable at 4 weeks. I hope you all have success in the cure. Bare in mind, you CAN be reinfected and even with a <1% chance you can contract it from a hep c + partner! Sincerely, the most unlucky person on Earth! Oh yes, I have the worst heartburn ever and eating food feels like I ate rocks! No appetite."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Started this medication 7 days ago. Unfortunately had to discontinue the medication today. After ending up in the ER with tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) and dangerously low blood pressure, my doctor and I decided it needs to be stopped. The first 3 days I had slight symptoms, just a little tired and sick to my stomach. Going into the fourth day I began waking up out of my sleep feeling like my body was heating up. And as if I had consumed a mass amount of steroids or something. Very anxious, blurred vision, dizzy, nausea, indigestion, extreme head rush, pins and needles, numbness and random pains all over. I was so excited to finally get approved for this medication. Now I will have to most likely fight my insurance for the an alternative medicine. This is the worst reaction I have ever had to medication. I hope I can get on a different one with not so intense and dangerous side effects. I wish everyone with minimal symptoms good luck!"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I've just completed my first month of Mavyret and unfortunately I have had severe nausea everyday of the treatment to the point where I can't even get out of bed. Hoping it does the trick because I wouldn't want to go through this again. Other symptoms are tiredness and fatigue, with a little bit of brain fog. No headaches. Thanks everyone for posting, pleased I'm not the only one suffering."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Last week had my 4 week blood work. It came back undetectable! Side effects, first week was crazy dreams and being extremely tired, but I found taking vitamin B12 helps a lot! I'm not tired like I was. Just started my 6th week. This medicine is well worth it. I do have hypothyroidism. I have noticed a good bit of other people with hep c also have some thyroid dysfunction. If your still tired after treatment, get your thyroid checked!"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I'm Hep C free of 12-week dose and I'm done on the 31st of March. I will be celebrating this passage of time. Didn't think I was gonna be a survivor but by the grace of God and his trusted physicians, and finally, my health insurance they have given me my life back. I did struggle through the treatment but it's all worth it in the end. Thank you to Abbvie for creating the medication that saved me. I send my good wishes to all who struggle with affording this drug and any other drugs that are a life saver."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Hello everyone! I'm on my 2nd day of my 4th week. Due to some side effects I had my blood draw after 13 days and everyone of my liver functions were normal!!!! The virus was detectable yet barely! After 13 days. The side effects are a mixture of the Mavyret and my own body chemistry. I work with a researcher from San Francisco and she said she's never seen a patient respond so quickly. Now my side effects are only sleeping a lot and brain fog . I feel so GRATEFUL and December 28th will have more labs and will report to everyone here. Soon in will be Hep C free I am so excited. Please take this medication the side effects are not that bad at all!!! Especially when you look at the interferon cocktail which I never took. I have had this virus for 18 years no cirrhosis and my numbers were always high now after 13 days when I had labs all is normal . I am being healed and want to share you feel ok! Much love to all."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I must say that I am thankful for finding this forum! To be able to talk about it and share is such a huge relief! I am finishing up 5 weeks this Thursday. I too, experienced the slight pressure headaches, nausea, vomiting, sleeping about 3 hours, wake up and after a bit I am able to lay back down and sleep another 3 or so, dehydration, very weak and tired, very dry cough, hard time breathing, flatulence, etc. After reading your reviews I determined that it could have been other meds. And I don't experience these symptoms all the time. I am very Thankful to God for the inventor, for guidance to get it and use it! I just know in my heart, it's the cure! As said in other reviews, Don't give up and don't quit trying! Will update when I am able, for sure the end results!"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "This is my second weak on Mavyret and I am truly grateful for this medication and it was not easy to get. I went to planet fitness and was completely fatigued after 11 mins of cardio. Dizzy. Last few days have been hard to walk my dogs very far or do hiking or much of anything. Lethargic and weird. Luckily I'm self employed but still is very different then I've ever felt ."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Today is day one of treatment so really can't rate meds yet but have heard great things! Have had Hep C for 20 plus years. Did interferon/ribivarin treatment 15 yrs ago and completed 11 1/2 month treatment. When done had 0 viral load but Hep C returned. It was BRUTAL treatment!!!!!! Now liver is F3 level so Mavyret is a GOD SEND. Never forgot how bad last treatment was.!! 1st injection had 104° temp within 4 hrs, thought I was going to die. Anyway no side effects after 4 hrs of Mavyret so already feel positive about treatment. Will post again after 4 wks and when done. God bless all from Mavyret!#!#"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I've been taking Mavyret for 3 weeks now... the first 5 days were pretty rough. Extreme tiredness and headache.. as well as becoming winded when I'm just sitting there.. side effects now aren't as bad but still tired and headaches and after I take them my ears get super red and hot.. Oh and had massive hot and cold flashes. Waking up soaked in sweat. It seems each day is getting easier but still this stuff is potent! It has gotta be to get rid of the virus right? I'm super grateful for it even tho it makes me feel icky. I was so scared to start it due to the side effects but I'm almost half way there so I think I've made it past the hardest parts! Another thing.. it makes me super light and sound sensitive.. Anyone else have that issue?"

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Labs are back. hep-C non-detect after 12 weeks of treatment. Liver test all in normal range. Next blood test in 2 month 1-29-2019 ( 3 months after the end of the 12 week treatment.) Hopefully non-detect of Hep- C will mean the treatment was successful. I am so happy to be free of Hep-C. I feel great! Mavyret worked for me with very little side effects. Good luck to everyone on it or thinking about getting on it."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I'm on week 5. I really didn't have any side effects till this week. I have right-side pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I ended up in ER because of the pain. They think I had a virus along with the Mavyret, so it has hurt like heck, but I'm not giving up! I'm more than halfway through, and I pray all these side effects go away so I can continue to move forward."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I'll be starting my 2nd week of Mavyret tomorrow. I became extremely itchy the day after my 1st dose and can get no relief using creams and antihistamines, although aloe vera gel helps soothe it temporarily. It's not hives, though, since there are NO marks on my skin. I got Hep C from a blood transfusion in 1968, but wasn't diagnosed until 2002. My doctor wants me to take Mavyret for 12 weeks, probably because I've had Hep C so long. I'm looking forward to being cured."

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "Days 1 and 2 were great - I felt like I had taken an anti-anxiety medication, slightly euphoric even, yet able to sleep very well. Day 3, this euphoric feeling became too much and I literally lost it. I never felt like this before, but I was having impulses and urges and coming close to dissociating. It created extreme hunger which made me feel angry. It was an 8 hour long high anxiety, panic attack but worse. None of this is usual or normal for me. So I had to stop at day 3 :("

Mavyret (glecaprevir / pibrentasvir) for Hepatitis C "I am on my last 4 days out of 8 weeks taking Mavyret. The 1st two weeks were easy as I had no side effects. After week two I noticed I had diarrhea every morning. That subsided after about 3 weeks and now I just feel very sleepy. The mornings are hard as I have no energy and I have been having achyness in my legs and feet. I also have slight headaches"
