For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I originally had a UTI and was prescribed antibiotics for 5 days. About two days later, I started itching, and the doctor prescribed me this drug. I kid you not, I was so dizzy I thought I was going to fall over. It didn't matter if I was standing up or sitting down. The dizziness was horrible. Oh, I only had one dose of it, and I'm still itching like crazy."

For Esophageal Candidiasis "ShugarCookie. This medicine cleared up my infection in 3 days. So, 10 for efficacy. Solid 0 with regard to side effects. It's like a vision quest! I made it through 25 days of these 100 mg demons...when I landed in the hospital with dangerously low blood serum sodium. The side effects are over the moon. I had sour stomach, loss of coordination, loss of sleep and appetite, constipation, rapid heartbeat, weakness, dizziness, and possible seizures, tremors, jumpiness, confusion. There is no way I could drive a car on this. This pill will chew you up and spit you out. But it cleared up my esophageal thrush in no time flat. I'm not sure if 30 days is overkill or not. I couldn't tolerate it from the first week! Maybe I'm allergic to it, as my upper lip is split since I began the course? Don't be me and ignore the side effects and end up in the emergency room."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Warning: Do not take if you have heart problems unless your doctor knows and you specifically asked about these problems. I took it and felt okay. About two hours after taking the medication, I got dizzy, weak, and had chest pains that changed with breathing. After about two more hours, I started to feel better. After sleeping, I now only have residual chest pain when I breathe. I have an irregular heartbeat and a condition that makes the muscles in between my ribs spasm and cause chest pain similar to this. My doctor knows this, and everywhere I look, you’re not supposed to prescribe this to someone with heartbeat problems."

For Fungal Infection, Internal and Disseminated "I was prescribed 150 mg of Diflucan, take 1 pill a day for 7 days. Day 2, I started feeling weird. I feel like I have the body flu almost, and I'm dizzy. I stopped taking it, so I'm hoping these symptoms go away. I'm on it for a fungal infection I got from an antibiotic."

For Esophageal Candidiasis "I was prescribed Diflucan in the ER for an over-the-moon sore throat I had had for 2 weeks—100 mg for 30 days. The side effects are terrible. It was approximately 2 weeks into the prescription that I began noticing just how truly weak I was. Dizziness is not the best description. More like brain fog + really severe confusion? Being too weak to walk a straight line. My depth perception is severely out of whack. I have fallen on stairs 3 times since starting this awful med. The dry skin started right off the bat. The skin on my face and neck is drying out and sloughing off like dandruff. I have a painful lip crack, moisturizer can’t beat out Diflucan. I’m constipated, I have 7 days to go. I’m going to have to muscle through it. While having vertigo, stumbling around on shaky legs, constipated, with a split lip, and no appetite whatsoever because I’m so nauseous. I do not recommend this medication at all. For me, it’s necessary. Just 7 more days of pure misery."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've taken this as needed over the years without any problem. This time, I had nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness. Our pharmacy gives a printout of all the possible side effects, and it says you can be allergic to it (as most drugs). I guess it just depends on the person on how much you need and how your body will react. It takes more than one dose for me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm telling you this medication is powerful, and it works, but I am giving it 5 out of 10, right in the middle, because it also has powerful side effects. There is no doubt in my mind it works well, but if you're very hypersensitive like me to medications, this one will knock you out. Meaning it's fighting the infection and doing its job, but it can be a very uncomfortable experience. When you have a severe internal infection and take medication like this, your body goes into overdrive helping the medicine work. I took only a quarter of a 150 mg tablet to let my body know what's happening, and wow, did just that make me so dizzy and just lay in bed like woah. But 12 hours later, took all the rest in small increments, and I'm all better, and it worked!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went to the GYN with burning, irritation, and mild clear/white discharge about three weeks ago. Had a pelvic exam and swabs were taken. She said it looked most like a yeast infection and prescribed Diflucan, one tab immediately and one tab three days later. Labs came back after both doses had already been taken, and the infection was bacterial (BV). Was prescribed metronidazole gel, which then caused the yeast infection I didn't have in the first place. Back to the Diflucan. Three pills in one month, but since the third pill (when I actually now do have a yeast infection), I am having dizziness. Annoying, unending spinning. Also, the yeast symptoms did not abate after four days. Monistat 3 helped in one night. Never again, Diflucan."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Awful! I was so dizzy even sitting down. My body dried out... hands, feet, face. My hands cracked open. Two days after taking, my throat felt funny and the entire inside of my mouth had white stuff all over. I can't say it works because the doctor diagnosed me with yeast and it wasn't. I actually had an abscess and switched to Bactrim. But I know I will never touch that stuff again."

For Tinea Versicolor "After nine years with a fungal infection on the skin, I was given 100 MG/week for a month. I already took the last pill of the course, and all it has done so far is turn the spots pink and make them slightly bigger, and some itched more often (although one looks like it's starting to disappear)! But the side effects! Oh, the side effects! After the first pill, I felt extremely dizzy, headachy, and nauseous for an hour after bedtime. The next day, I had little appetite that only recovered that evening. The next two times, I took two Rolaids, which helped with the nausea. That left the headache to contend with all day the day after I took the pill. I took two ibuprofen three times to combat the headaches on the last pill. What a joke!"

For Tinea Versicolor "This is a very harsh drug... that I do not wish to ever take again... and I cautioned anyone that takes this drug. It made me dizzy... very tired... I took it for a whole month three times a week... my doctor says the symptoms should go away... but I still feel tired and do not have the energy that I did before I took it. I also have severe bloating and gas. It has been weeks and the symptoms have not gone away... I'm getting very worried that it cost me damage to my liver... again, I will say I do not think the drug should be on the market... I regret ever taking it... took it for scalp eczema... because I am going through menopause... believe me, the scalp eczema is nothing compared to the side effects... caution everyone to do not take this drug!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Treated for candida infection, 3 strains, and had lowered immunity. So had Canesten and Diflucan prescribed, 150 mg, fine for 1st day. Next day, severe migraine-like headaches that have lasted every day on and off, bar last 2 days. Off balance, anxiety, and severe nausea for 2 and a half, nearly 3 weeks now. Thrush has cleared up, but couldn't get my GP's surgery to give me an appointment for a couple of weeks. I've had this tablet before, no issues. Never again, feel really ill on it. I'm 65 and normally very active, have had to suspend my gym membership for a month as I feel so unwell. Do not take this drug."
