For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Last week (5/14/2019), I started experiencing vaginal redness and itching. Luckily, I was scheduled the next day for my annual pap, and my doctor said it looked like I was starting a yeast infection. She prescribed for me 2 150 mg Fluconazole tablets. I was to take one, then another one in 3 days. I took the first one Wednesday night, and by the next morning, I felt about 80% relief of my symptoms. By Friday, I felt back to normal. I did take the second dose on Saturday as instructed. Luckily, I have not experienced any side effects from this drug. This was the 2nd time in about 6 years I've had a yeast infection, and I had also taken the same drug on my last infection with no issues at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had sex Friday night, went to work and used the bathroom, and wiped with cheap tissue. When I got home, I started itching and burning. It was so bad and unbearable. Good thing I had an appointment yesterday for a BP check-up. While I was there, I told my doctor my symptoms, and she prescribed me fluconazole. I took it yesterday around 7, and today around 7, I notice it's starting to work. I'm not itching or burning, plus it's pushing all the infection out. Every time I go pee, mount and mounts of discharge are coming out, plus I have to keep a pantyliner on because it makes you leak. That 150 mg did the trick for me. All I'm drinking is water and cranberry juice to help clean me out. Every med doesn't do the same for everyone, but it's fine for me. Hopefully, I don't experience this again!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had gotten a yeast infection from eating too many sweets in one week. I had like a pie and a cheesecake every day. I tried plain yogurt, garlic, and Monistat, and it appeared that everything had cleared up. But having unprotected intercourse with my fiancé, I gave him a yeast infection. I finally went to the clinic, and it went from a severe to a minor yeast infection. I paid 80 for this pill, it worked wonderfully. The drug stayed in my system for 7 days, clearing up my yeast infection. Now that I know they have it at Walmart, I'll get a prescription and buy it from there."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Have had two yeast infections in the last two months, most likely brought on by stress, a HORRIBLE diet, and lack of sleep. Both times I took a series of three Diflucan three days in a row. It helped, but took about 5 days to see any real results. My biggest issue is the rash I get 'down there' on a yeast infection. Sadly, Diflucan doesn't help that. It's day 7 and the infection is mostly cleared. Just waiting on the rash to clear up."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got one Diflucan pill to take, which I thought at first was a waste of money, but it works GREAT. The discharge and smell changed after 1 day! There were no side effects, no headaches, nausea, pain, etc. Highly recommend!"

For Onychomycosis, Toenail "I just started taking a medication called Afumix. I was prescribed this medication after seeing a dermatologist in GDL, MX, he sent me to have a culture done. They scraped the nail to identify the type of fungal infection. I’ve had it for over 30 years, battling athlete's foot as well. I’ve suffered with this for so many years: unsightly toenails and itchy feet. I started this medication 4 days ago and will now take 6 days off, then back on 4 days, on 6 days off. I will continue this cycle until I’m done with 16 pills. By the way, I bought this medication in Mexico for just under $100: 4 boxes with 4 pills in each box. I already have noticed that the skin on my feet feels smoother and absolutely no itchiness between my toes. It appears to be clearing the skin peeling. I will continue to update the results after I’m done with the dose. FYI, I’ve tried the Lamisil/terbinafine pills and cream, both never worked for me."

Fluconazole for Candida Urinary Tract Infection "Amazing drug. After trying everything for a week to get rid of the worst yeast infection of my life, I was prescribed Diflucan. Within 15 minutes, no lie, yeast started dumping from my body. Kinda gross, but that's what was making me feel so horrible and frustrated. I had waited a few days after Monistat didn't work. But word to the wise, drink lots of water after you take this; there are so many toxins that get released into your body when yeast dies off, especially that fast. I drank a lot of water and didn't experience side effects or headaches with this med."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Have taken sporadically for a yeast infection. Seemed to work, but I broke out in hives. It took me a bit to figure it out because I’d take 1 pill maybe once a year. It didn’t register. Well, now I know! I took 1 pill in March, 1 pill in July, and thought, huh, I wonder if fluconazole. Took 1 pill yesterday and paid attention!!! Yep! Ugh! Hives and allergic reaction not on the list! I get hives, my knuckle swells on 1 finger, and it is painful. It blisters and finally pops and heals on its own. Each time it is worse. Now my lips are swollen, and hives on palms and on skin by thumb. My hands are so dry. NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE THIS fluconazole!!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I developed pneumonia after getting swine flu. I was on heavy-duty antibiotics and was given Diflucan as a prophylactic for yeast infections. I took approximately 4 doses over the course of two weeks. I recently noticed that a toenail that had a fungus for over 40 years (!) is now growing in nice and pink! No more thick, ugly yellow nail! Amazing! No other side effects were noticed!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I went to the clinic on Monday to get an STD check because I was having discharge. They diagnosed me with a yeast infection. They prescribed me the one-time pill, and I took it. Tuesday, it started itching and creamy discharge and a burning sensation (very uncomfortable). Now it's Wednesday, and it seems to have gotten no better, if anything worse, because when I went to the clinic, I wasn't having any of the symptoms I'm having now. It sucks and is very discomforting, especially when I'm at work. I called my doctor's office to see if they can give me something else and figure out what's really going on. Ugh! I just want my vagina back to normal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was experiencing discharge, itching, and swelling for approximately 2 weeks and used OTC Monistat suppositories to no avail. I went to GYN for an annual physical yesterday and mentioned symptoms. She prescribed Diflucan 150 mg tablet (1), and I took it on an empty stomach. Within a couple of hours, symptoms ceased, and today I feel so much better without discharge or itching. Best thing for me!!!!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Diflucan for a yeast infection on a Friday around 8 PM, at about 10 PM, my lips started to tingle. I went to bed and woke up at 2 am to find my lips severely swollen with a rash around them. Today is Monday, and my lips are burning, dry, and still swollen. I am now getting sores inside of my mouth from the Diflucan. My yeast infection has cleared up, but the pain I am feeling now is horrific. I will NEVER take this pill again."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had recurring yeast infections, and I have to say that this works amazingly. Quick relief of symptoms, which, if anyone has a yeast infection, can agree. This is the first thought that comes to mind. I'm so thankful that my doctor prescribed this for me."

For Onychomycosis, Toenail "Fluconazole is an amazing medicine as it completely sorted out my fungal toenail issue. I first cut off my crooked, dry, crumbly left toenail to its root point, where I could see fresh white nail. I then started to take 150 mg fluconazole capsules in January 2022. I will now be finishing my course of 6 months at the end of this month, June 2022. I have a fresh white left toenail now, full of life and energy. The only side effect I experienced was some sleep disruption, apart from that, I was fine. If I could've sent before and after pics, then that would've been good."

For Fungal Infections "I take 400 mg a day for a rare Candida infection in my prosthetic knee. I'm 2 months into a 6-month treatment. I only have had two side effects, but both have been severe. 1. I’m extremely fatigued. Not necessarily sleepy, but no physical energy. It takes everything in me just to get up and walk to the kitchen. 2. Severe skin irritation. The skin on my entire body has been exfoliating much more than normal. It’s like the skin cell turnover process got turned up. Also, the worst chapped lips of my life. I feel like it’s clearing the fungal infection in my knee, but these side effects suck."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used this medication quite a few times in the past few years, and it definitely always works. Sometimes one is not enough, though, but the three-pill regimen always works when used as directed. The best part is that you can also drink alcohol on this, and it will still work. No bad side effects or burning so far."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have taken Diflucan for yeast infections for years. I always get the infection after having to take antibiotics for a sinus infection (at least 1x/year). I have never had any issues - until now. Twelve hours after taking the Diflucan, I developed 3 hives - two on my face and one on my thumb. I thought maybe it was from something else or stress, so I ignored it. Big mistake. Had to take a second pill this week, and the hives came back in the exact same places, only worse, and have blistered. I also now have blisters inside my mouth and on my lips. They are extremely painful and are healing, but still there after 6 days. I expect scarring. If you have an allergic reaction to this drug, DO NOT take it again. It only gets worse. Now to figure out what I CAN take, as the yeast infection is still there."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a mild yeast infection that showed up on the pap results but felt no symptoms. Took Diflucan, and within 24 hours I had raging yeast infection symptoms that have worsened over the next five days. I routinely eat a diet low in carbs and high in probiotic foods, also no simple carbs. I suspect Diflucan wiped out all the healthy microbes and made room for something worse to bloom. Still not sure how this will be resolved."

Fluconazole for Esophageal Candidiasis "ShugarCookie. This medicine cleared up my infection in 3 days. So, 10 for efficacy. Solid 0 with regard to side effects. It's like a vision quest! I made it through 25 days of these 100 mg demons...when I landed in the hospital with dangerously low blood serum sodium. The side effects are over the moon. I had sour stomach, loss of coordination, loss of sleep and appetite, constipation, rapid heartbeat, weakness, dizziness, and possible seizures, tremors, jumpiness, confusion. There is no way I could drive a car on this. This pill will chew you up and spit you out. But it cleared up my esophageal thrush in no time flat. I'm not sure if 30 days is overkill or not. I couldn't tolerate it from the first week! Maybe I'm allergic to it, as my upper lip is split since I began the course? Don't be me and ignore the side effects and end up in the emergency room."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Over the counter (Monistat and generics) makes my symptoms 10X worse and does nothing for me. Fluconazole takes care of it every time, with ZERO side effects for me. If I take it on an empty stomach, symptoms significantly reduce within an hour. I always do a second dose three days later, even if it appears to be gone, to be extra sure. For ladies wanting to go a natural route that is also VERY effective, tea tree oil suppositories. They are just messier, and you will smell like tea tree oil a little :) but I don't mind the smell. I always keep that on hand as well. You can find those for good prices on Amazon. They are also just good to do once a week or whenever for maintenance if you suffer chronic infections."

For Oral Thrush "I suffered with a yeast infection in my milk ducts, which made breastfeeding extremely painful. My baby also had oral thrush that would not go away as we continued to pass the fungi back and forth with all other treatments (nipple cream, gentian violet, nystatin, probiotics). I took one pill per week for 2 weeks, continued to breastfeed, and we were both cleared of Candida!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a severe bladder infection and a yeast infection at the same time. It was so bad I couldn’t walk, the burning and the pain were unbearable. The doctor prescribed me antibiotics for the UTI and I took Monistat for the yeast infection, but the swelling was so bad I couldn’t even sit. Finally, I called my doctor in bed for Diflucan, and within one hour of taking it, everything started to settle down."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Took antibiotics and got a yeast infection, went to the Drs, they prescribed Monistat 3. Took it for the 3 days, still was experiencing a lot of itching and burning. Went back to the Drs, she prescribed the one-dose pill. Took it Thursday afternoon, felt nausea, had headaches, and stomach aches (side effects), but helped with the burning pain by the next day. It's now Sunday, and the itching, burning, and pain are back. Going back to the Drs tomorrow for the 3rd time in 2 and a half weeks. So want this to go away. Feeling like I need to get a second opinion."
