For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The past few days I've had this horrible yeast infection. Thankfully, this pill exists because I wanted to cry earlier from being so uncomfortable. My doctor gave me this 1 pill, and I felt relief within the first hour. I have no doubts that I'll be 100% within a day or two. Oh! And I didn't experience any side effects."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a yeast infection to the 10th power. I tried some OTC vaginal medicines and definitely didn't work out for me. Seemed like it got worse. Very embarrassing and uncomfortable, not a good feeling! My doctor prescribed me 2 doses at 150mg each. I took the 1st pill at noon and I could really feel relief within hours. I highly recommend this pill for quick relief. Thank goodness for Fluconazole!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Awesome medication. I got a really bad yeast infection that kept coming back after two Z-packs. I took three, three days apart, and it completely got rid of it. The inflammation lingered for a bit because the tissue was damaged, which is apparently normal according to WebMD and my doctor. Once, I got an upset stomach from taking it, but that could have easily been avoided if I ate something with it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took this pill on Friday. It is now Sunday, and I'm still having all symptoms. It has not done anything for me. I have another refill for it I will get today, and if it does not help, I will be going back to get something else. This is my first yeast infection, and they are nasty little demons."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had the yeast infection from hell. Finally, I went to the doctor and got Diflucan. I am on my second pill with a 7-day regimen. Almost no itching, and I'm starting to feel so much better! Also, a little tip: Orajel has worked much better for the itching and pain than anything meant for the vagina. My doctor recommended this. Who knew? :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got a yeast infection for the first time. Holy moly, those things are horrible. Be patient. It works differently for everyone. I did see relief the first day. And more relief every day. I felt normal after a week. I would take this again if I had to. No side effects for me."

For Oral Thrush "A few days after finishing a round of antibiotics (metronidazole), I started to get oral thrush. I took two rounds of nystatin (oral rinse) and still had the thrush. The doctor prescribed fluconazole (150 mg for 7 days) - thrush responded very well, but at the end of the duration, it started to come back. The doctor called in another prescription (150 mg for 5 days), and so far my oral thrush is gone (I've been done with the prescription for 4 days). The only side effect I have noticed is a 'side stitch/pinch/ache' type feeling. It's mild but noticeable and started the day I took the fluconazole and continues today. I've read it can stay in your system for 7 days, so hoping the pain goes away very soon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got this one oral pill 150 mg prescribed by my OBGYN yesterday to treat my first time yeast infection. Dr. told me to wear 100% cotton underwear for 2 weeks. Always drying the area well after a shower with a clean, dry towel, plus using a hair dryer to blow it dry (use regular air, not hot air). Then, applying baby diaper rash cream (like Desitin) all around that area on both sides. Finally, taking a cup of yogurt every day. I asked if I could take a probiotic, she said it's fine. After taking the pill yesterday morning, last night, I didn't wake up until 5:30 am. Late morning, there was still some itchiness, but not too severe. I hope it will get better tomorrow. So far, I haven't felt any side effects. Good luck, everyone!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took the pill Tuesday night, felt somewhat relieved on Wednesday night, but had slight irritation and itch, however, there was no more discharge. I recommend you try to keep the area clean and dry. It really helps to always towel dry after every shower with a separate clean towel."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Whenever I have a urinary tract infection, a yeast infection is sure to follow, and this time, instead of buying the 3-day treatment of Canesten that you insert inside (which has always worked well the first day), I tried the one pill. No side effects. However, my vagina is still itchy, burning, and rubbing it no longer provides any relief anymore. Going back to the doctor, hoping for something stronger."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I too had a rash close to my vagina, a pretty bad one & my gynecologist said it was bacterial vaginosis along with a yeast infection. It was my 1st infection so I had no idea what was going on. She prescribed me metronidazole 500 mg for 7 days, on day 4 I took Diflucan 1, on day 7 I took another Diflucan 1, three days later I took my last one. I didn't start seeing results until I was taking both medications together. For those of you who have to pay for your medicine go on their website they have a $5 off coupon."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am prone to yeast infections. Not super prone. But I usually get about three yeast infections a year, more if I have infections that require antibiotics. Rarely do over-the-counter medications work for me, plus I just hate how gross, messy, and how long it takes to clear up with the over-the-counter suppositories. This medication Diflucan is really a godsend because the minute I feel it coming on, I take it and symptoms are gone super quickly and with no mess. I honestly don't notice any side effects. I might get an upset stomach, but I usually get that from the antibiotics that give me the yeast infection to begin with."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The BEST treatment for simple yeast infection. One pill, and symptoms are gone in 2 days or less. I have never experienced any side effects at all from this medication, and I am so thankful there is such a simple solution for clearing up a yeast infection. The creams they sell at drugstores don’t seem to do a lot for me, and they are messy and expensive."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First time with a yeast infection. Took my first dose of fluconazole on day one with minimal results and a second dose of 150 mg 48 hours later, and at day 5, I am feeling things are almost back to normal. Reading the other posts from ladies continually having repeat episodes of this, I feel for you. Have any of your partners been treated or assessed for a yeast infection? As you are back to normal, he or she may have been infected by you, especially if you do not use protection when you are infected and have sex. You could have picked it up from them if they don’t know they have one. You may be swapping it back and forth between each other if you are both not treated. Go to your health care providers and your partner and discuss this, and perhaps your partner needs to be treated too!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get yeast infections when I drink a lot of wine. It usually works with a mild infection if you take it upon first notice within 48 to 72 hours. But I feel relief in the first 24 hours. I also use baby diaper rash cream to relieve itching. This works like a dream. Desitin is the best. Just the regular strength. Immediate relief! The pill does the rest. If you let it get too severe, take 2 pills 2 to 5 days apart. That works in 3 to 5 days. Abstain from alcohol and food high in sugar, such as soda and sweets. If the Diflucan doesn't offer relief in 2 to 3 days, you might have vaginitis, a bacterial infection which sometimes seems like a yeast infection and requires a different medication. Call your doctor."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been prescribed Diflucan in the past for yeast infections and it worked wonderfully. Overnight relief. I have been prescribed this generic form the last few times I've had a yeast infection and find that it does not work nearly as well for me. Currently on day 5 after taking a single dose, and I am still having itching and redness."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After taking antibiotics, I usually get a yeast infection, so I take Diflucan once when the meds are gone. Almost always stops itching in 24 hours and disappears completely by day 2. Only once was it so bad I had to take it twice. Best cure ever. And no side effects. Used it many times."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm not entirely sure why I am having such a hard time clearing up my yeast infection this time. This is now my 4th pill (after taking 3 of the 150 mg over the course of 3 weeks). I typically don't suffer from burning, itching, rashes...but the cottage cheese discharge is terrible. I took my 4th dose last night, it was 100 mg, and was expecting to not have any discharge this morning. Welp...still see it. It's not as much, but mid-day, wiped...still cottage cheese discharge. I am comforted by the ladies here saying it does take a few days. Just wondering why I've had to take so many this time and still not cured."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Fluconazole caused side effects of drowsiness, stomach ache, diarrhea, confusion, dizziness, panic attack, fast heartbeat, chills, all in less than 24 hours of taking this 150 mg one-dose pill. I will never accept this antifungal in my body again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After taking fluconazole for 4 months at varied strengths, it was apparent it wasn’t working, the side effects are horrid, and I found that even at 50 mg, I was still feeling extremely queasy on them. Also note, they do contain lactose, which can upset your digestive system if sensitive. Anyway, after many trips to the GP, gynecologist, and gum clinic, it was then decided to check the strain of yeast I had - turns out I don’t have the normal albicans but instead glabrata, which is highly resistant to azole medications. So for anyone taking fluconazole, and it’s not working, get them to check the strain you have, as maybe it’s just a resistant strain. Ten months on, and I'm only just able to get the medication needed to beat this beast: nystatin."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I had a pretty bad yeast infection. I was itchy, and my lady bits were bright red. I mean, it REALLY itched and I had pain. The only time I couldn't feel the symptoms was if I was laying in bed. I took fluconazole on a Saturday afternoon. Upon waking the next morning, my symptoms seemed to be cut in half, still irritated though, itchy, and uncomfortable. Each day after, symptoms seemed to be cut in half again. Tuesday I was feeling much better, and it is now Wednesday, and I feel great. This definitely worked for me. So glad I didn't have to take Monistat since that burns my insides! Those who are experiencing side effects, I can only guess with fluconazole you do not actually have a yeast infection and the pill is trying to fight something that isn't there. Probably a different issue, maybe bacterial? This pill definitely worked for me, and I am HAPPY and back to feeling like my normal self again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never had so many yeast infections as I have had in the past year. Was on a long course of antibiotics. Just a warning in December, thought I had a yeast infection, and it was terrible. By the time I got to the doctor, it was actually bacterial vaginosis. Had to take Flagyl. If you have an unusually severe yeast infection, get checked. However, anytime I did use fluconazole, it works great."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I started showing symptoms of a yeast infection after being on antibiotics for about 5 days, which is a common side effect. My doctor prescribed this pill. I took it and I had almost complete relief the next night. I took it Wednesday evening around 4, and by Thursday night I felt a lot of improvement. It is now Sunday, and I feel 100% back to normal and I'm still on my antibiotics. This pill stays in your system for several days, which is why it is so effective. I highly recommend this. I will never use OTC medicines again."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had what felt like a moderate yeast infection. I was given Terazole 3 at first but had the most horrible allergic reaction that made my yeast infection symptoms increase 100 times. I have never felt misery like that in my life, it felt like my insides and outsides were trying to kill me. I was switched to the single dose of 150 mg Diflucan, and my symptoms improved by half within 24 hours and only got better from there. It took about a week for all discomfort (including the occasional minor itch) to completely disappear."
