For Birth Control "Okay, I'm going to admit there is some nausea, but after about 2 weeks, it goes away. Also, my breasts are slowly getting bigger... not sure if anyone else has similar results. Other than that, it works."

For Birth Control "This was my first time experience with any birth control. I'm 22 and have no children and take no other medication. Unfortunately, this birth control side effect on me was numbness on the left side of my body (left arm and leg were both numb). Also, my sex drive decreased tremendously."

For Birth Control "Stay far away from Low-Ogestrel-28, that is all I can say. This birth control has made me the most unhappy human being. I cry at random times, my mood swings are unreal, and I’ve gained so much weight. I’ve also started getting acne. I am switching asap."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am 55, and after 6 months of no period, mine came back with a vengeance. 14 days straight, heavy bleeding, huge clots. The doctor put me on this medicine and instructed me to take 4 pills on day 1, 3 on day 2, etc., until I was down to one a day, skipping the placebo and going straight to the next set of pills. It works great except one thing: the nausea. I am nauseous all the time. Is this normal?"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for 3 months now, I think. My Dr. switched it up randomly, and it says it clears your skin, but honestly, my skin has been very bad since I started taking these. I have very bad breakouts, and I've never been this bad. My period has always been kind of normal and still is, but I have gained weight a lot too. Any recommendations?"

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control when I was about 15 because I had such terribly painful and long periods. Almost immediately (it does take a few months for your body to adjust), it made my periods regular, short, and virtually no pain. I will admit if I take the pill hours late or forget a pill, my moods go crazy and my skin breaks out. If I take it perfectly, I love it so much. I'm now 27 and I've been in a serious relationship for 7 years and have had no pregnancy scares. I recommend this to anyone who is willing to take it perfectly at the same time every day and wants light periods. It is also free on my Carefirst health insurance plan."

For Birth Control "I was on Lutera for over a year and was switched to this due to sudden spotting weeks 2-3. Big mistake, even though it ended the spotting. Side effects that followed were not worth the switch. This pill gave me headaches almost every day, so bad I dreaded getting out of the bed. Normally, it was triphasic pills my OB said did it. Must have been something in the inactive ingredients or the progestin in this pill. No wonder it was so dang cheap. And my periods went from 5 days of medium to very light flow to 7 full-blown, mostly medium and painful days with those headaches I mentioned. This was the pill my OB felt confident would be the right one. Um, no. After 2 packs, I told them enough of this. Just switch me back to Lutera, and they did. I don't recommend this pill at all. But it also never hurts to try. What doesn't agree with me could be good for the next female."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was given this pill because I was having my period for a full month and breaking out badly. I've always had these problems, and other brands of birth control wouldn't work for me. I took this, and my period went back to normal right away. My skin has gotten absolutely amazing. I used to try every single thing I could to cure my acne. When I got on this pill, my skin completely cleared. When I do get a pimple, it'll only be one, and it'll be very small. I couldn't be happier with this birth control. My partner and I have had slipups, and I haven't gotten pregnant."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control compared to the three I've been on. I took it for a year and had the best skin of my life, my periods completely went away, not even cramping, and my breasts were a cup size bigger than normal. I'm looking to start taking it again four months postpartum. I quit taking it for only one week and became pregnant (planned pregnancy and happened a lot faster than I thought). The pill they put me on after pregnancy has done the opposite of what this pill did for me, and I'm having two periods a month and extremely moody. I miss this birth control and can't wait to start it again. I'd give it 10 stars, but I had a lot of yeast infections while taking this birth control and none anymore. It's worth the yeast infections, honestly, to me. I'd rather go get Monistat than go through so many tampons and underwear with heavy bleeding."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have just finished my first month of taking Low-Ogestrel. I was put on it because of my horrible menstrual cramps and haven't really experienced any bad side effects other than migraines during the first week or so. I am currently on my period and didn't have any cramps, I am also bleeding very lightly. So thumbs up for me!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "It is the only medication that controls my period. I am 50 years young, and my period should have stopped. After trying many things, I am taking this even though I can no longer have children. I have been on it for a year and have gained some weight, but I don't know if that is the pill. I exercise regularly and eat healthy. I would recommend anyone to try it."

For Birth Control "Overall, this pill did what it was supposed to do for me. I never had a pregnancy scare, my acne virtually went away, my periods were lighter, shorter, and less painful. I did not experience any weight gain at all that can be contributed to taking the pill. The cons are that I could count on having a mild to moderate headache almost every day that I was taking the placebo pills, my sex drive randomly decreased dramatically, and I do think that it increased my anxiety. Personally, the pros always outweighed the cons for me."

For Birth Control "I was on this pill from age 21 to age 31. After concerns of hypertension, my doctor inserted an IUD (Liletta). I gave it a go, loved the idea of not having a period or having to take a pill every day. After 5 months of insane mood swings, nipples so sore if I even looked at my breasts, there was a surge in pain, yeast infections, and a 10-pound weight gain with no decrease in blood pressure, I'm very happy to be back on the pill. On the Low-Ogestrel-28 pill, my periods are very regular and predictable. They last about 5 days, only 3 of those with significant flow. I have had no problems losing weight on it, no acne, no mood swings, or headaches. Starting back has been a shock to my body, as I've been on my period for about 12 days now, but that kind of thing is to be expected when you switch birth control methods. Just started placebo week for the first time since the IUD removal, and I honestly feel like a different person. I love this pill, never going back to an IUD."

For Birth Control "Low-Ogestrel-28 was the first birth control I used. In the first few months of taking it, my mood swings were off the charts. Crying one minute, happy the next. I did not gain weight, nor did I experience any acne. My cup size went from an A to a C, and it did its job keeping me from getting pregnant. I have been on Low-Ogestrel for a year now but have recently switched to Sprintec. I switched because my periods became irregular on Low-Ogestrel. Some months I would have heavy bleeding during the active pills, then extremely heavy bleeding during all of the placebos. I went to my doctor, and she prescribed me a higher hormone dosage pill to correct that. I had extremely heavy periods before going on birth control, so the low hormone dosage in Low-Ogestrel wasn’t enough. If you have heavy periods and are thinking about going on Low-Ogestrel, don’t, and get a higher hormone dosage pill so you can have normal bleeding."

For Birth Control "I was introduced to this pill (Low-Ogestrel 28) when I asked my doctor for a way to better control my horrible cramps and irregular periods. I would sometimes have cramps so painful I'd have to stay home from school. The very first month on it, I noticed a significant change in my PMS symptoms, and after almost two years I can't even remember what it was like before. I rarely have cramps anymore; when I do, they're very minor (I don't even need pain meds). My periods are 3-4 days long, with only one day of heavy flow - this does mean I can't safely use tampons, though. This pill has been a lifesaver for me; I strongly recommend it to anyone with menstrual problems like mine."

For Birth Control "I was on Low-Ogestrel for about a year and a half after getting married. I experienced about 30 lbs of weight gain, moodiness, anxiousness, and overall felt depressed. I stopped birth control in May of 2021 after my husband and I decided we wanted to start trying for a baby. I have always had regular periods. It took 2 months for my period to come back, and now I believe I have pill-induced PCOS. I get a period every other month, and we have been trying for about 5 months now, and no luck. We have started seeing a fertility doctor and are getting bloodwork done to see what next steps we can take. I definitely do not recommend any form of hormonal birth control if you plan to start a family down the road. Looking back, we both seriously regret the pill and wish we had gone with natural family planning instead."

For Birth Control "I had my period for a month straight after taking this for a couple of weeks. Then, when that was finally done and I got my period again the week before, I was extremely bloated and constipated. I have had no sex drive, when my boyfriend tries to be physical with me, I get disgusted, and my anxiety and depression have been horrible. Along with that, I have nausea almost every time I eat. I've been miserable. Worst birth control I have ever taken."

For Birth Control "After dealing with breakthrough bleeding from other pills, my doctor switched me to this. I gave it 3 months, and I'm having the worst acne of my life, even as a teenager, my face was not this bad. I look like a drug addict, and I'm embarrassed, and I'm getting off of this immediately."

For Birth Control "First off, I have only been on this pill for one month; I will update when I have been on it for longer and how I'm feeling. Why did I get on this pill? I was having crazy irregular cycles; I would go two months without a period and then be bleeding heavily for nearly a month straight. I didn't really have any pain or anything, but I didn't want to become anemic, and many women in my family struggle with PCOS and endometriosis, so I wanted to get this taken care of. Not to mention, even though my S.O. and I have been together for over three years, we're really not in a place to have a child, so it was probably best that I got on birth control again. In the past, I had the Depo shot and Aviane pill, but I had stopped due to the side effects I was experiencing."

For Birth Control "I started this medicine in August, so I haven't really been on it for long. But I did notice it regulated my periods. I had VERY irregular periods, which is why I am on birth control. I mean, my periods were very light and lasted 2 weeks! And I feel like it made my cramping worse."

"After taking it for two months, I noticed some hair loss and problems with my contact lenses. It only got worse after taking it for seven months. I'm discontinuing it. I'm losing too much hair, and I want to go back to using my contact lenses."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on this birth control pill, Low-Ogestrel-28, for 3 years. Overall, I had no problems. I weighed about 115 lb when I started it, and after 3 years, I was about 135. I was a college athlete and have always been active, but I found it harder to maintain my desired weight on this pill. Although I don't fully contribute my weight gain to the pill, after the first month after stopping it, I have dropped almost 8 pounds (with a balanced diet and exercise). Other than weight, I have completely enjoyed this pill. My periods were light and lasted about 4 days total. Minimal cramps. My period also started exactly when it was supposed to every single month. I only had to switch birth control methods due to high blood pressure caused by the estrogen in the pill. But if you are good about remembering to take the pill, I highly recommend this pill!"

For Birth Control "Just want to say this first and foremost. Every girl’s body is different and is going to react differently to this pill. Not everyone is going to have the same experience. Some it will work great for, others it may not. I’ve read some good reviews and some bad reviews. I’ve been on Low-Ogestrel for about a week now, and I’ve noticed no difference in mood or diet. My period lasted about 5 days on this pill and seems to be working well for me. I am not sure if my opinion will change over the next few months given that I’ve only been taking this for a week. But as of right now, this pill is working well for me. I was on a different form of birth control a while back that gave me horrible migraines and nausea, and so far, LO has done none of that for me. I feel perfectly fine after taking this pill. As of right now, I give this pill a good review as it has been working for me."

For Birth Control "I was originally prescribed Low-Ogestrel-28 once I got off the depo injection, which literally turned me into a different person. I only had two depo provera injections, and I was miserable. Side effects ranged from weight gain, anxiety/depression, hair loss, no sex drive, and constant bleeding. The best way I could describe it is as having a literal dark cloud over my head. Anyway, I was prescribed the Low-Ogestrel pill, and I’ve never been happier. I have absolutely no side effects, it’s amazing. My acne is significantly better. I mainly use the pill as a prevention of pregnancy and for my acne. So far, it’s been doing a superb job. I definitely recommend this pill, without a doubt."

For Birth Control "I loved the Low-Ogestrel, since I didn't feel any symptoms, and I didn't gain weight and no lost hair. The bad ONLY side effect is excess hair growth (hirsutism). My doctor switched me for another brand of pill."
