For Acne "I started Tri-Sprintec 3 months ago for my 15-year struggle with acne. I am 35 years old and haven't been able to battle acne until now... sort of. It has cleared my acne by like 90%! It probably would have been 100% if it wouldn't make me stay on my period for 3 weeks at a time. I have ALWAYS been regular with no cramps or period problems until now. I still have no cramps, but my period comes on whenever it feels like it! So annoying. I also have had tender breasts. I'm already a DDD, so I don't need any growing there, please! Other than that... I love the fact that my face is clearing up... I can deal with the other problems as long as my acne is GONE!!"

For Birth Control "I was originally put on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for my acne, but I couldn't afford it, so I was switched to Tri-Sprintec. Like I said, I was originally put on this for acne, but then my boyfriend and I started having sex, so I was using it for its BC effects too. It has worked WONDERS. My acne has cleared up, I'm not pregnant (you need to take it regularly though! Don't forget!), no mood swings, and my periods are shorter and lighter. However, I didn't experience the GOOD side effects until after 3 months in! I was moody, bloated, and nauseous, but my body needed to get used to it. I encourage you to try and stick it out for a bit if you just started and are feeling that way. Keep up with it, and maybe you'll like it too!"

For Birth Control "I love this brand of birth control! I started taking this brand about 3 1/2 years ago, and it’s helped so much. During that time, I did switch to a different brand to try something else, and it was the worst decision, so I switched right back. My periods are so light and short, which is a plus. It helped clear my skin up right away, but recently it’s been a little worse (I blame that on stress). Only major complaint about the pill is a lack of sex drive. Highly recommend this for birth control."

For Acne "I started Tri-Sprintec in November 2013. The first month, I was extremely moody and had anger problems. After three months, my acne cleared up. It's been over a year, and I haven't seen a spot since! This is great; I also am very active. Some days, my sex drive is not there; usually, this happens the first week of the pack. So, for birth control purposes, I would rate this as a 10 as well. I've never had any problems and never had any pregnancy scares. My boyfriend noticed that I went up a cup in size. I didn't gain any weight really; I'm just 98 lbs, and the maximum I would be 100 lbs. I would recommend it to anyone who has acne problems. But wait 3-4 months for results."

For Birth Control "As far as birth control, it is an extremely effective contraceptive pill! Never got any severe side effects; some nausea the first week, but that's about it. Also, my periods are about the same flow-wise, but very little cramping, about 4 days long instead of 5. I used to have awful skin, and now it is clear! The only thing that happened when I went on this medication that may be displeasing to others is that I gained about 30 pounds. My varying weight before was 106-110, and now I am between 130-136 lbs."

For Acne "This stuff is like a wonder pill! My acne is clearing up, my boobs look fuller, didn't change my sex drive, my moods are the same, and it fully protects me from having a baby. I couldn't be happier with this because I have tried lots of brands and wasn't on birth control for about four years because I didn't want to go through the same process of hating the form of birth control I was using, but my Dr. knew exactly what to give me. Be honest with your Dr. and always do your research :)"

For Birth Control "Good for preventing pregnancy and clearing up skin. But it does make some women gain water weight. I gained 20 lbs on it and rapidly lost it in a month when I switched to another brand. So make sure you notice how it affects your body while on it. To me, the weight gain was not worth it."

For Acne "Initially, I was scared of trying Tri-Sprintec just because of the terrible reviews I saw and my previous experiences with BC pills (nausea, depression, diarrhea). But this pill is awesome! Apart from a few days of nausea and some initial breakouts, I had no mood swings, no weight gain. After the second week, my skin cleared up, and my boobs got slightly bigger too! All in all, great birth control. Would 10/10 recommend."

For Acne "I started taking birth control mainly for acne. I've had severe body acne since I was a teen. It's been so bad that I've been embarrassed to wear clothes that even expose my shoulders since my skin resembles a Dalmatian. I'm 22 now, and I've tried all sorts of treatments, including head and shoulders, zinc supplements, ointments galore, and salicylic acid. None had a lasting change. Then finally, I went on birth control for the first time. Wow. At last. I am on week 3. No new acne, anywhere. My skin is even less oily, red, and irritated. As a bonus, my breasts seem fuller! I haven't had any mood swings, bloating, or cramps. (I was very worried about that before). Just exercise and stay positive!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control 4 days ago for contraceptive purposes, however, I have had terrible cystic acne for the last 3 years of adulthood, and it's all cleared up. Not to even mention, I have lost NINE pounds in 4 days and have had absolutely NO side effects. I have taken several types of birth controls and have had awful side effects. I am hoping to continue liking this pill! So far, so good!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for 1.5 months now. The plus is that Tri-Sprintec doesn't make me want to put a period to my life, like my last birth control did! Side effects include bad nausea for the first month, and my period randomly started too early just yesterday (2nd week of my 2nd month). But overall, I'm satisfied - no major weight gain that I can tell, and no acne. I'm planning to wait 3-4 months to see whether the side effects level out. I join with others in saying that every woman's body is different. Read these posts to get a sense of some common side effects, but don't panic if something different happens, and be glad if nothing happens at all! Call your doctor to make sure your symptoms aren't anything to worry about."

For Acne "It’s day 3 for me on this medication, and I have debilitating migraines. I’ve never had a migraine before, this is terrible. I can’t say whether it’s effective or not, but I can definitely say it’s not worth the excruciating pain that I’m feeling in my head."

For Birth Control "Been on this for about three months since they discontinued Trinessa and forced this pill on me, and let me tell you, this has easily been the worst three months of my life. I need birth control to keep me regular and keep my skin clear (which this pill is only okay at doing), but it is not worth the mental damage this pill is doing to me. I’m fine the first two weeks, but as soon as I start week three, I feel like I’m going crazy! I cry over everything and panic and become so anxious I need anti-anxiety meds, and I even have extreme dark thoughts. As soon as I finish this pill pack, I’m done for good because this is not worth it, it’s ruined all of my personal relationships and motivation for even succeeding in school. (Writing this on the first day of week three in case you were wondering)"

For Acne "I went on Tri-Sprintec for acne and irregular periods, and it has definitely helped me regulate both. Upon being prescribed this particular BC, I was terrified because of all of the negative reviews, so I figured I'd share my positive experience for someone who was in my position. The only noticeable side effect I've had is a bit of chest acne (which I never had before), but as I'm only on my third pack now, I'm hoping it will eventually clear up!"

For Birth Control "Was on Tri-Sprintec for 4 years, and I got all the side effects. I started spotting almost every two weeks after 4 years of taking it. That's why I stopped, and it's been 2 years since I stopped, and my cycles have been all over the place. I had my cycle 2 times for the first 3 months. After that, I didn't get a cycle for 7 months, and I wasn't pregnant, and I'm still experiencing spotting. It has messed up my body. I do not recommend this."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the best birth control I've been on. No weight gain at all. And it doesn't make it hard to lose weight. My boobs have gotten bigger. My skin is so clear I get compliments on it (I used to have bad acne). And most importantly, no babies. I have sex with my SO without condoms, so I know it works. I know exactly when my period will come every month. That's a relief because I used to get my period anywhere from every 2 to 9 months apart. Only side effects are occasional nausea on the first week of each pack. And random headaches, but that's not often."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm 16, almost 17, and I went on this because I had really heavy periods with bad cramps and would pass out regularly. I've been on this for a little over two weeks, and my period hasn't stopped. It was heavy for the first four days, and then it became really light. For the last week, it's almost like spotting, which has never happened to me before. My breasts hurt really badly. I'm not sure if I've gained or lost weight because I started dieting right before I went on the pill. So far, I hate the pill, but it's only been a month. I'm hoping the next months will be better than this one."

For Birth Control "I was cautious in the beginning to not read women's reviews of Tri-Sprintec because I wanted to begin the experience with a fresh mind. I've only been on Tri-Sprintec for two months (just beginning pack #3), and although my doctor said it could take up to 3 packs to 'adjust,' I am not continuing with these synthetic hormones. I began taking this pill for a heavy period and cramps-neither were relieved. In fact, I was spotting for the week before my periods and a little after, too. I never get headaches, and on this pill, I had a consistent dull throbbing pain in my head. I lost my appetite for weeks at the beginning. The worst side effect is my moods-I feel completely flat. As someone who typically is energized and excited (sometimes anxious too) about life, this pill was not for me. It stunted my personality. I threw my pack away today, and I will continue seeking alternative solutions to painful periods because I'd rather have painful periods than feel this emotional numbness."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill two months before I was supposed to get married. I've never been on birth control before this. It made my boobs enormous, but it also made me into a psycho. This pill has made me very emotional."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So my gyno put me on this birth control pill for my irregular periods. I’m about to start month 3, and I’m impressed! At first, I was VERY scared to try the pill because of the negative reviews, but I gave it a shot and monitored my lifestyle closely. My first 3 weeks on the pill weren’t terrible, but I did experience a couple of negative but minor side effects. I had a couple of nights where I felt nauseous after taking the pill, and on a few occasions a headache, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I noticed I had some weight gain in my waistline, so I watched my food intake and upped my workouts slightly, and that took care of it. I’ve stayed at 133 lbs. I’m at month 3, and everything is totally normal! No depression, no insomnia, and no weight gain (thank goodness), and it’s cleared up my face! I personally love this pill, but I 100% agree that every woman may have different reactions. Also, it’s SO affordable, and that’s a big plus because I don’t have insurance."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control! I was on it for two years and had no major problems at all! I went off of it and tried another birth control, and I hated it and went back on Tri-Sprintec! So this is what I can say while being on this pill: I have received my normal period every month on time, my periods are lighter, and I have less cramps. My boobs always feel fuller when I am on this pill and look perkier! My acne has really disappeared while on this birth control, so it definitely stabilizes my hormones in that way. My weight has been pretty consistent. The first month going on it, I was a little more emotional, but nothing crazy. The only true downside is my sexual urges did decrease, I still get in the mood, but I definitely saw a difference when I went on the pill. Overall, I highly recommend it!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I began taking this for my period, which was really heavy and came with terrible cramps. While I was on it, I experienced terrible cramps. I have genetically good skin, but this medication gave me the worst acne of my life. It was embarrassing, not to mention painful. It also made me incredibly depressed, and I’d find myself canceling plans with some of my favorite people to stay home and cry. I have decided to go off of it, and I am very excited to get back to normal. Based on other reviews I have read, many women have gone through similar experiences to mine."

For Birth Control "I started taking Tri-Sprintec because my insurance no longer covered the brand name Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and it was the worst experience ever. I immediately broke out, and my periods got worse. I started to experience mood swings and worse cramps. I stuck with it hoping it would get better, but it never did. I would not recommend Tri-Sprintec or Sprintec to anyone, both of these made my life a living nightmare."

For Acne "My gyno initially wrote a prescription refill for Ortho Tri-Cyclen (which I had been taking for years), but when I went to have the prescription refilled, the pharmacy did not have Ortho in stock. Therefore, they suggested the Tri-Sprintec. Just days after starting the pack, I experienced the WORST breakouts I have had as an adult, along with nausea, heart palpitations, and migraines. This is simply my experience with this pill - I know every female's body is different."
