For Acne "I started taking Tri-Sprintec 7 months ago. I mainly wanted it to treat acne, but also as birth control. I had moderate acne, and it actually took a while for the pill to finally help my skin. I had to be patient with it because it took about 4-5 months for my skin to clear up, with occasional pimples around my period. The pill did, thankfully, increase my breast size after a couple of weeks to a month of taking it, and I felt like my appetite has increased, but I've only gained around 7 pounds since I started, and I've always been at 100 pounds. This pill has been great to me, and I haven't had any problems with it so far (that I know of)."

For Acne "Growing up, I've always had sensitive skin and mild acne. In the summer of 2016, I went on vacation, and when I came back, I broke out terribly. In October 2016, my doctor prescribed me Ortho Tri-Cyclen, but my insurance covered Tri-Sprintec. Because of all of the negative reviews, I was hesitant to try it. I didn't really see any dramatic results until the 7-month mark, my skin started clearing up more and more, and in the 8th month, I had clear skin. Overall, with clear skin, bigger boobs, and no side effects, I am extremely happy with Tri-Sprintec! If you're on the edge about taking this pill, give it a shot! You'll never know if you don't try, this could be your miracle!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about a year now, and I just cannot deal with it anymore! I used to be so happy, but lately, I'm a different person, someone who is not nice. At first, I thought just I hadn't gotten used to it yet, but as more time has gone on, I am hateful, severely depressed, nauseated, very tired, and constantly just an unhappy person. It has affected my relationships with everyone, and the next chance I get, I'm switching to something else. I'm not saying it will do this to everyone, but I know it has been awful for me. One thing it has done is what it was supposed to do, it kept me from getting pregnant."

For Birth Control "I am 28 years old. I have never felt any side effects from any birth control I have ever taken. My doctor, however, switched me to this one because of the price, I assume. Since I began taking it a month ago, I have been extremely emotional, crying when I'm happy, crying when I am sad. My mood swings are having an effect on my relationship, my kids and husband, as I am less patient and more tired. My face is also breaking out, which normally only happens when I am PMSing the week before my period. I called my doctor today to switch me off of this. I am only stating my experience to reassure others if having the same side effects that it is not you coming down with depression. It is only the pill."

For Birth Control "Please listen to your doctor and do not read reviews. I was scared to death when I was reading all these horrible reviews. I've been on this pill for a month now, and it's been wonderful. Not moody, I feel it has actually made me more relaxed and laid back. No bloating. Have not gained weight. Take it correctly, and take it at the exact time and every day."

For Birth Control "Just like many things, everyone's experience will be different. It is my first time ever taking birth control, my boyfriend and I are very sexually active, so I wanted to be safe and get on the pill. We have unprotected sex all the time without him ever having to pull out. Despite all the negative reviews, I gave Tri-Sprintec a try. I didn't really notice the 'side effects' until the third month in, which is normal. The only negative thing I can say about this pill is that it has increased my appetite. I gained roughly 5-7 lbs, I found myself snacking a lot more and just having an appetite all the time. My boobs also grew a bit, and they're more tender. As far as acne, I haven't broken out at all on this pill. It works, and I'm not experiencing mood swings or anxiety, I take it at 4 pm every day."

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for nearly 10 years and hated the thought of switching pills (insurance purposes). I started Tri-Sprintec about 5 months ago, and I cannot tell the difference between the two. I was concerned with the nausea, vomiting, and weight gain that others talked about but had none. My face is still clear as ever, my periods are still very light, and I feel fine! Definitely worth the change!"

For Acne "For a few months on Tri-Sprintec, everything was fine, and then my acne got worse, now I have the worst acne of my life. I never even had pustules when I was in high school. Ironically, I clear up during my period, suggesting that the hormones in these did the complete opposite effect of what I had intended."

For Birth Control "This is my second form of birth control, and I absolutely love it! My insurance pays for it, so it does not cost me one penny. When I did pay for it, it was less than ten dollars. I started on the Depo shot, and I hated it. I gained 40 pounds on it, and it affected me tremendously. Tri-Sprintec hasn't let me down. I have used it for a little over two years now. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, and we have been baby-free. It continues to work for me. I haven't gained any weight. I don't get mood swings. The only difference I have noticed is a little bit more cramping, but nothing major. Cramps have been bearable. If you are looking for a steady birth control, then this could be for you."

For Birth Control "Tri-Sprintec was the first birth control pill I used. I chose it because I was told it would help with acne. (And obviously as a contraceptive). At first, Tri-Sprintec was good for me, it helped my acne (it didn't completely go away), and my boobs got bigger! And well, I wasn't pregnant. However, after two months, I began to notice myself having mood swings. This was so strange for me because I am such a relaxed, chill person. I couldn't ignore that I was moody. Little irrelevant things that happened with my boyfriend would make me very sad/mad, and well, I don't think I've ever cried as much as I did when I was on this. It was beginning to interfere with my relationship, so I stopped taking it. This was just me, so it may be different for you."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 3 months now, it seems to be effective. I am baby-free, and my periods are more regulated now. However, I have noticed that I am hungry ALL the time... all I want to do is snack and have really intense cravings. I haven't gained any weight because I try to keep that under control, but it is hard. I have also noticed that this birth control has helped with my breast soreness/tenderness before my period. Now they do not hurt nearly as badly, whereas before I was in terrible pain, so bad that it hurt to put a bra on. Oh, and this medication is free, so that's a plus."

For Birth Control "I started Tri-Sprintec a month ago, not by choice but because that was the only thing the health department had in their inventory. The nurse told me it was exactly the same as the other pills. I could definitely tell a difference in myself, though, just after starting them! My emotions were out of control, and I kept going into deep depression mode! My appetite was pretty much gone too, so I wasn't eating. A good tip is to keep a journal once you start a new pill, so you can keep track of breakdowns, mood swings, and how often they're happening. I had a breakdown at work, crying in front of my boss and everything. I decided to stop the pill, and since then, I've felt great."

For Acne "I was very skeptical about trying this pill because it is a generic, and I have heard negative things about it. I have been on it for two months, and so far, no weight gain, no nausea, no mood swings, or any other of the reported side effects. The best part about this pill is that it completely cleared up my cystic acne after only a few weeks. I have been on a couple of other pills with horrible side effects. Find the pill that works best with your body. This one seems to work best with mine."

For Birth Control "The first year of being on Tri-Sprintec, I did great. The second year has been rough. Bad anxiety, depression, and I'm just so freaking tired all the time, some days it takes everything I can do to just make it through an 8-hour shift and make it back to my bed. I've always been a very energetic person until this past year. I also haven't had a sex drive in forever, it seems like. And these mood swings, I can't even deal with. I've really been struggling the past year. Never really thought that it was the birth control doing all these crazy things to me."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for 6 months now. The first three months were awful, but now I really love my birth control. At first, I was having awful mood swings, depression, and random crying spells. I stuck with the pill, and then after getting married in December, all my bad symptoms subsided. My acne has gone away, and I’ve never had skin this clear! My periods are very manageable, and I can control my period if I want to. So far, no pregnancy, but I’m super religious about taking my pills on time and try to use backup prevention when on antibiotics. I completely sympathize with all the ladies who have put reviews on here, but thankfully my symptoms have gone away, and I’m going to stick to this pill. Best wishes!"

For Acne "Originally, I was prescribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen, but due to insurance issues, I was given Tri-Sprintec. I know you're supposed to give things usually 2-3 months to work, but let me tell you, this pill has worked miracles! The first 3 weeks were terrible. I was breaking out even worse than I already was. I mean, I was getting acne right above my eyelids, underneath my eye, and just about everywhere else on my face. I was so nauseous for a couple of days that I almost had to skip a wedding. But I am so glad I stuck to this. My face has been the clearest it's been in a year. I'm still battling 1-2 zits, but that's nothing compared to what it was. I am left with a lot of dark spots, but a few hydrafacial treatments should help with that."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for about 5 months now, for bad cramping. I’d like to say that I am a lesbian, so this is not a contraceptive for me, it was just to alleviate my period pain and heavy bleeding. The first three months were the worst. I gained a little weight, was the most moody I’ve ever been, and was sad often. However, once you get past all of that in those 3 months, it's a lifesaver. My period pain has decreased so much that honestly I’ll forget I’m on my period, it’s made them lighter and shorter. My skin is clearer, the weight I lost from the first 3 months is gone, and I’m not moody anymore. However, it does kill my sex drive almost completely, so if you are worried about that, take it into consideration before trying this birth control."

For Birth Control "I have been on this medication for over 9 years, and it works great for me. My periods are way lighter, and the pain is much more manageable. It causes no mood swings or weight gain for me. Overall, it works great and is very affordable; my insurance covers all of it, but even without insurance, it's only $9/month."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec for 7 years and have overall had no problems with it. I started taking it to clear up my severe acne. I had been to dermatologist after dermatologist and had been on every cream and pill to treat my acne, and nothing worked until I got on Tri-Sprintec. I did not gain any weight, my skin cleared up, my periods were regulated, and I did not experience any spotting or anything like that. I am changing birth control pills after this pack due to longer periods. My period had always been about 6-7 days, but the past few months it has been 10-12 days. I'm not sure if the lengthened period is due to the Tri-Sprintec, but I never had any problems with it until recently. I would recommend Tri-Sprintec to anyone."

For Acne "I switched from the IUD to Tri-Sprintec 4 months ago in the hopes of clearing my moderate acne and helping my lower mood. Now I wish I would have stayed on the IUD. I have never in my life had such painful, swollen cystic acne until now. It’s all over my jaw and neck, and that has never happened to me before. At first, I thought it was a reaction from switching methods, but I’ve gone through 4 packs and it keeps getting worse. I plan to stop this today after reading other acne horror stories. I’d rather use condoms than refuse to leave the house because I’m so self-conscious about my skin. I hate this pill."

For Birth Control "I've been through the mill with birth control pills. I've probably tried and quit 10 contraceptives. I LOVE this pill, though. It helps with regulating my periods since I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), and now I'm actually able to get pregnant. I might mention that I'm a decently sized woman, too. It completely stopped my acne. I've never, knock on wood, had any problems with blood clots, quickened heart rate, high blood pressure, headaches, increased appetite, decreased appetite, tenderness of breasts, or an increase in the depression I already suffer from. I would recommend this contraceptive to any woman. Get this birth control! You will not be sorry."

For Acne "I used to take the Depo shot but wanted something to clear my skin. These reviews scared me! My first week on the pack, I broke out a little bit more than usual and was very moody. I kept telling myself that it's my body getting used to the hormones. And sure enough, after my first week, my skin is clear (a few blemishes from sleeping with makeup on), my mood is great, just like it's always been, and intimacy with my boyfriend isn't a problem. I'm not experiencing vaginal dryness. I'm starting my second pack, and I'm glad I gave this a try. Ladies, take Vitamin A daily, 10,000 IU, this should help with the skin clearing! Best of luck!"

For Birth Control "I wish I could still be on this pill. I started with Tri-Sprintec at the age of 16 due to having an irregular menstrual cycle, and I am now 22 years old. When I was on this, it was like I wasn't even taking birth control. I did not have any sort of side effects, and if I did, then it was a minimal cramp that I could still go on about my day. If I could go back to this, I would in a heartbeat, but since I had breakthrough bleeding in between my periods, my doctor took me off. I don't know if these work best for irregular periods, but it was the best for me. Hopefully, this is helpful to those who are thinking of taking this or are starting it/been on it."

For Birth Control "I was told Tri-Sprintec had the same ingredients as Tri-Nessa (Tri-Nessa has been discontinued), so I went with it. I’m on day 6, and it’s been AWFUL! I feel nauseous and sick all day long. My mood is out of control, and I get these horrible headaches that won’t go away. I didn’t want to believe the reviews because everyone reacts differently, but this truly is the worst pill I’ve ever been on. I don’t even think I can finish the pack, TBH. Nothing like Tri-Nessa."
