For Birth Control "I am absolutely miserable on this birth control. I’m 21 and have been trying to give my body time to adjust to it, however, I’m going on month 3, and I’m ready to call my doctor and switch BC. Insomnia is terrible, I never had this issue before. Besides that, I spend more of my week being nauseous than not nauseous. I throw up at least twice a week due to this birth control. I have constant headaches and absolutely no sex drive whatsoever. Also, the mood swings are through the roof. I cannot wait to feel normal again!!!"

For Birth Control "I have PCOS, and my period has been irregular since it started. About a year ago, I was put on this pill because I bled for about a month straight and ended up in the emergency room. I have been on it since, and my periods have been regular. I will admit, I was a bit nauseous for the first 3 months, but other than that, no other side effects."

For Birth Control "Was prescribed Tri-Sprintec to treat my PCOS by my endocrinologist. I used to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, with no side effects, but unfortunately, the company discontinued it. The first night I took Tri-Sprintec at 6:30 pm after I ate dinner. I felt fine up until about 10:30 pm when I noticed I started to feel kind of anxious for no reason and also had an odd feeling in my chest. I went to bed and then woke up at about 4:30 am with terrible nausea, vomited three times, was shaky, and feverish feeling. Most of the morning I felt nauseous, but it did go away by afternoon. I’m not going to continue taking this birth control because of the way my body responded after just one pill. I also had a similar experience with Tri-Lo Marzia last summer, but not quite as bad. I was able to take that one for 3 months before discontinuing it because of nausea. Going to call my doctor in hopes that she will be able to suggest something else with fewer side effects."

For Birth Control "*Disclaimer* I only used Tri-Sprintec for 8 days. I discontinued use because of the side effects. I had previously used NuvaRing, which did not give me any noticeable side effects, but with Tri-Sprintec I was nauseous all eight days, felt bloated, and had severe mood depression. The reason I stopped so early on was the depression. I'm a student, and it just wasn't worthwhile to me to be dealing with depression on top of a heavy course load."

For Birth Control "I've been using Tri-Sprintec for almost a year. I'm not sexually active, but was prescribed it for month-long PMS, spotting, and irregular periods. By irregular, I mean 27 days one month, 30 days the next month, 25 the next, and so on. I have 28 days all the time now, occasionally 27. PMS is much better, skin cleared, and I'm much more emotionally stable! I do notice PMS in the last week, but that's to be expected as there's no hormones that week. The other thing I have noticed is that it does dry out my skin, eyes, scalp, and vaginal area. I believe that's due to the same stuff that keeps your skin clear. I did notice a bit of nausea in the beginning, but that should go away. It helps to take it at night. All in all, great pill!"

For Endometriosis "This drug is so, so horrible. I have unbearable endometriosis with extreme pain every single day and was prescribed this to help. I’m surprised at all the positive reviews on here because this pill has literally made me feel like I’m dying. Extreme nausea constantly every single day, to the point where I couldn’t get rid of it and had to go to the hospital for anti-nausea meds. I'm also crying at literally everything, and my mood is all over the place. If you try this birth control and start to experience these side effects, waiting it out is honestly not worth it, at least for me. I have been so miserable and finally decided to call it quits. So excited to start feeling normal again and explore other options for my endo."

For Birth Control "I took this medication for 5 months. I started off the first couple of months with lots of nausea, and my breasts were constantly sore. I decided to wait it out, but today I had to call my doctor to get it switched. While on this medication, my breasts were constantly tender and very painful. I also felt nauseous a lot, and on the first day of my last period, I had to miss school because of it. My PMS symptoms seemed worse. It did work to prevent pregnancy because my sex drive is non-existent. I also experienced dryness, which I have never had a problem with. Other than the breast soreness and nausea, I didn't gain any weight or have any other issues."

For Birth Control "I'm 18, and I have been using Tri-Sprintec for a week now. I love it so far. I have not experienced any nausea or any other stomach problems. My back hurt for the second day I was on it, it was not bad and went away the next day. I have been going to the gym every day because I want to lose a few pounds, and it's been harder than it usually would be. I haven't lost any weight, but I haven't gained any. My boobs have slightly grown, not very noticeable. I would recommend it."

For Birth Control "I started taking Tri-Sprintec as my first birth control. I needed something that was going to take away my nausea and vomiting when it came time for my period to start. It did just that. But now I'm nauseous all the time, I have terrible cramps all of the time. I have terrible, terrible mood swings. Not to mention the weight gain, and my boobs got bigger. Now the boobs getting bigger part isn't bad, it's painful when your breasts are just really tender all of the time. Not to mention sex became painful while taking this. I do not recommend this drug. I've been taking it for 3 months now, and I hate it. 3 months of pure suck. I'll definitely be getting a different pill at my next appointment."

For Birth Control "I started taking this since I was 17, 19 now. Works great, but definitely gained weight. I gained about 30 pounds while on it. My boobs went from a B to a C, and usually they get tender the week before I start my period. My period lasts about 4 days with light bleeding. Never had an issue with headaches or severe cramps. I took this pill every morning, but if you take it without breakfast, you tend to feel a little nauseous."

For Birth Control "It's the first time taking birth control, so I wasn't completely sure what to expect. I've been taking it for two weeks now, and it has made me extremely emotional, nauseous every morning (I take the pill at night). I have no appetite, my boobs are very sore, and I've had spotting after my period for about a week now. I'd say the worst side effect is my emotional state. I went from being a completely optimistic and happy person to feeling depressed and off-balance every day. I've cried almost every single day and for no reason. I hate this feeling. I don't feel like myself at all. I'm going to continue with the first three months (unless the effects worsen), only because I already paid for it, but I'll be talking to my doctor about switching."

For Birth Control "I have taken Tri-Sprintec for 2 months, and I refuse to start the third month. It makes me terribly nauseous, to the point where I will throw up about 4 times a day. (It happened so often I thought I was actually pregnant, which I am not.) I have never been a sad person, but since I started taking this pill, I have been extremely depressed and have had terrible mood swings. It also causes tenderness of my breasts that I've never felt before and is extremely uncomfortable. Everyone's bodies are different, but I had a horrible experience with this pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for about 3 weeks now. It definitely has its pros and cons. First, I'll start by saying that I was put on this pill for abnormal uterine bleeding, which came with the worst cramps ever. So, the doctor prescribed me this, and my mood swings have gone, there's no cramps, and the bleeding finally stopped after months. So, I'm assuming it's starting to regulate my cycle. But - I am experiencing nausea and fatigue. I go to school full-time and work full-time, so I seriously hope it ends, because I can't afford to miss either of those important parts of my life. Overall, it does the job as far as the bleeding and mood swings are concerned, but may not be worth the side effects I'm experiencing if they persist much longer."

"I have been on Tri-Sprintec for almost 2 years now. I have not had any of the mood swings or nausea, but every now and again I do get a weird odor. I have considered changing to a different pill, but the low cost is a huge plus to me right now. I asked my husband if he's noticed any odor, but he hasn't. LOL, or so he says... I am overall happy with the product though."

For Birth Control "I'm about to start my 3rd pack of Tri-Sprintec pills, and it's overall been a positive experience. The first few days of taking it, I was really fatigued and lethargic, but those feelings went away quickly. The first 2 weeks, I did feel a bit of nausea, mostly right after taking the pill (I take it at night). I have mild to moderate acne, including acne on my back. Nothing on my back has improved so far. I'm unsure as to whether the acne on my face is improving or not. Right now, it's definitely mild and not cystic, but not clear. Breasts have increased in size and were painful the first month. Still sore going into the 3rd month, but not too bad. Had spotting the 3rd week of the first pack, but it was very light."

For Birth Control "Nope, never again. Worst month of my life. Nausea, cramping, random bleeding, irritable-not just irritable. I had a mental breakdown and felt like I wanted to kill myself because I was frustrated trying to pick an outfit to wear (not typical, usually, I don't care at all). All this within two weeks of starting the medication. I stuck through a month and couldn't handle the negative emotional side effects. One more thing: LOW LIBIDO. There was no point in being on this because I didn't want a thing to do with sex while taking it anyway. This pill can ruin a relationship. NO THANKS."

For Birth Control "I started taking Tri-Sprintec about 3-4 months ago, at first, things were fine, and it worked great. Lately, I’ve been noticing some changes, though. For starters, I have developed some pretty bad acne, and before taking this pill, I have always had clear skin with occasional breakouts here and there. I also noticed that I get very nauseous and insanely bad headaches about an hour or so after taking my pill in the morning, sometimes so bad that I actually throw up. Another thing I noticed is that since being on this pill, I have become VERY emotional and snappy at times. Sometimes, I get so upset that I don’t want to move out of bed, which has NEVER been an issue for me before. I never used to have these kinds of mood swings before. I’m scheduling an appointment with my doctor to find a new birth control because even though this one gets the job done, it’s not worth always feeling like rubbish."

For Birth Control "I took Tri-Sprintec for 3 years, and the first 2.5 years were great! Very effective at preventing pregnancy and even lightened my periods. However, after that, I started to feel very nauseated my first week of a pack and then became so depressed during the second week that I could not get out of bed. I know others who have had this experience after extended use."

For Birth Control "My personal experience with Tri-Sprintec has been great so far. The only issue I have is that I can't take the pill in the morning or during that day at all, it makes me nauseous, and one time I threw up because of it. I just take it at night now to help with nausea."

For Birth Control "I started Tri-Sprintec 2 weeks ago after being off of BC for several (7) years. I was very nervous to start again because I had so many negative experiences in the past with the pill, which ultimately led me to quit BC altogether. After 2 weeks into Tri-Sprintec, I have had very mild side effects from this medication. A little nausea in the evening the first few days, some lightheadedness, and I do notice my heart rate has increased (I am usually operating on low blood pressure anyway, so it's easy to notice). So far, I cannot complain about this pill, and it has given me no reason to consider switching at this point. Keep in mind, people are more driven to write a negative review, so take it as prescribed and see for yourself."

For Birth Control "My gyno switched me to this because it was cheaper than my birth control at the time. I experienced horrible cramps and bloating, not just when my period arrived. Also, I gained almost ten pounds in one month, which is completely not normal because I could barely eat since the pill made me nauseous and dizzy at least a few times a week. My periods were heavy and seven days, when before they were light and only four days."

For Birth Control "I tried this for two months, and I cannot take it anymore. The only reason I wanted to be on birth control was so I could know exactly when my period would start. Without the pill, I would never be consistent. I tried Lo-Estrin 24, which caused me to spot, and so my doctor thought I needed something a little stronger, so she prescribed me this. Since I have been on it, my mom and I got in a huge fight, causing us not to talk for 2 weeks. I isolated my friends and got emotionally attached to a guy, which never happens, and I have been eating like crazy. My breasts are huge, weight increased, and I was nauseous for a week straight, not to mention the whole point of me taking this was to know when my period was. Well, I never started when the pill said I should."

For Birth Control "Your body does take time to adjust to it. The first time I took it, I had it for 6-7 months and felt nauseous right after taking it and would get horrible headaches. I forgot to refill the prescription, so I was back on it a month later. And three months after that, I'm still experiencing nausea and headaches, but now I have light spotting a couple of days before my period, and it doesn't start until 1-3 days after the sugar pills. The only upside is no pregnancy, and it's cheap!"

"I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for a little over a month now. I have only had one bad side effect, but it was because I missed a pill and took two the next night. I woke up around 5 a.m. and was nauseous, had chills, and was sweating. I got sick a couple of times, but I think this is due to taking two pills. Other than this one experience, everything else has been great. Lighter, shorter periods, no cramps, less acne, no weight gain, no mood swings."

For Acne "I've been on the pill for a short amount of time, and I'm already thinking of changing it. I've been nauseous, having horrible cramps, extreme appetite (which will probably lead to weight gain), headaches, and the WORST acne! I'm someone who has been struggling with acne, but my acne is worse than ever! It's everywhere too! Do not recommend."
