For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have had irregular periods, but recently in May, I had a period for about 3 weeks, and I was tired of it. So I went to the doctor and was told Tri-Sprintec would help. I started taking it at the beginning of June and have been on it for almost a month now. With no luck, I’m still bleeding constantly. I continued the pill to see if the bleeding would eventually stop, but unfortunately, it hasn’t. During the first week, I received loss of appetite, extreme anxiety, night sweats, depression, and nausea, and the side effects still occur. I’m going to finish the pack because hopefully, I’ll receive some luck, but I do not plan to continue this pill after this first pack."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 5 years now, it's the only one I have ever tried, and I'm sticking to it! It has completely prevented any pregnancies, and I never had one negative side effect. I've never had any mood swings, depression, headaches, nausea, breast soreness, or anything. This drug hasn't affected my personality or body at all. Occasionally, I get mild period cramps, but nothing worse than the norm... you can't escape all the blessings of being a girl!"

For Birth Control "I was given Tri-Sprintec after my usual prescription of TriNessa was discontinued. I had the normal side effects such as nausea, cramping, and a change in period the first few weeks, but that was nothing compared to the anxiety and depression it caused the longer I took it. By the end of the second month, I was crying every day and had horrifying intrusive thoughts. I finally had to make an appointment with my doctor, and she told me to stop taking it and gave me an antidepressant to ride out the lingering effects until it leaves my system. 10/10 would not take again. I seriously miss TriNessa."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking these after being hospitalized and given blood transfusions and iron. They recommended this and said it would help me. The first two weeks, it did help a little. The third week is when everything started to change. I realized I had no energy to get out of bed. Simple things like brushing my teeth or taking a shower felt like the hardest things to do. I didn't want anyone to talk to me. I lost interest in my favorite TV shows and other things I always used to enjoy. My hair started falling out, and I was always nauseous. I wouldn't eat ANYTHING! I started having heart palpitations, and walking from one room to the next made me fatigued and dizzy. My body began to shut down. I do not recommend!!!"

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this birth control at all! It made me extremely depressed, I would cry over everything and be upset every day. I would cry, and half of the time I wouldn’t even know why. I was tired all the time, I didn’t want to do anything but stay home in bed all day. It made my appetite change a lot. I’m a small girl, but I eat a lot, and once I got on this pill, I barely had an appetite. Half of the time, the smell of the food made me nauseous, so this caused me to lose a lot of weight! It also gave me really bad headaches almost every day. When I made the decision to get off of it, I immediately started to feel so much better and started to eat a lot more, and now I barely get headaches, and I'm back to my happy self. I’m not depressed anymore."

For Birth Control "This pill did horrible things to me. I felt nauseous constantly and experienced severe anxiety. So much so, that I could not leave the house without crying. I was depressed and gained 8 pounds. All of this in less than a few months. I finally went off Tri-Sprintec when I realized that it was causing me these side effects. Absolutely terrifying experience."

For Birth Control "So I started taking Tri-Sprintec, and the first month wasn’t so great. I was nauseous, and my boobs ached. But I was told after the second or third pack is whenever you shouldn’t have as bad side effects anymore. So I’ve been on it for over a year, and it’s a good contraceptive; have not gotten pregnant, and it has lightened my periods, and I don’t cramp as bad anymore. But by the time I start the third week of the pills, I feel awful. Like very irritable and sad for no reason; which is totally not like me. I don’t feel like myself. So I’m switching to a different birth control pill."

For Birth Control "I took Tri-Sprintec for 2 years while I had no insurance and couldn't afford anything else. On Tri-Sprintec, I experienced weekly migraine headaches, nausea, extremely heavy periods that lasted up to eight days, and horrible cramps that would leave me curled up on the couch and unable to go to school or work. All my life, I had experienced heavy periods, but it seemed to get worse on this. This is not including the terrible mood swings that almost drove me and my boyfriend apart. I hated myself, and it didn't help things that my sex drive was nonexistent. I am now on Loestrin 24 Fe and have had none of these side effects."

For Ovarian Cysts "Been taking Tri-Sprintec for 3 weeks now. Week one was a breeze. For the other 2 weeks, here’s what I’ve experienced thus far: headaches, a little bit of nausea, sore boobs, and a bigger appetite, and I gained 5 pounds (I’m skinny, so I don’t mind it). I haven’t had any bad breakouts, no mood swings, nothing crazy. I don’t really enjoy the headaches and nausea, but I haven’t experienced anything CRAZY."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec for about 4 years, and I had a love-hate relationship with this pill. The first year on this pill, I had nausea about every day. I did everything they told me: take it with food, take it at night, etc. Nothing worked. I kept taking it because they said the nausea was going to go away after a few weeks on it. It didn't, however, it did clear up my acne, and I've had unprotected sex, and I'm not pregnant, so I say it works. The nausea went away after a year, and now I have no problems with it."

For Birth Control "I normally take Tri-Linyah, but my pharmacy was out, so they gave me this because it is generic for it. I've been on it for less than a week, and my emotions are all over the place. All I do is want to cry, my anxiety is crazy high, and I am depressed. Low sex drive, headaches, horrible nausea. I have even experienced vaginal dryness. Very irritable and horrible mood swings. I've never had any of these issues before. I know medicine affects people differently, but I will not be taking this medicine anymore."

For Birth Control "I'm 19 and have been on different birth control pills and also shots. I have been on this for about 3 years now, and it has cleared my face nicely only a couple of months after first starting. Downsides: a week or two before my period, I feel nausea and a little dizzy, also, a couple of pimples do show, and I have sore breasts. In the emotional state, I have been on it for a good amount of time, but I feel it only changes my moods close to the times I'm near my period. I do get very depressed randomly, but again, it could just be a personal thing. Upsides: the clear skin overall, also, I know when my period will come every month. I have not gotten pregnant and have been very sexually active for the last 2 years. Don't plan to switch anytime soon."

For Birth Control "I am on my second month of taking Tri-Sprintec. I have not experienced any nausea, cramps, mood swings, or weird bleeding from the pill. My last period was actually really short and really light. The price is great too. My only complaint is that it makes my face break out horribly. During the first 2-3 weeks of the first month, my acne got horrible. During the last week and a half, my face cleared up great, though. Now, I am 2 weeks into my second month, and my face looks awful again. I talked to my dermatologist, and she told me that it is a great pill when used for clearing up acne and that my face should look great in 2-4 months. I hope this is true!"

For Birth Control "I tried taking this birth control for 4 days right before bed. I noticed I was waking up unable to eat and nauseated. I work out 6 days a week and couldn’t afford to not keep eating, so I stopped taking it. The next morning, no nausea and no symptoms. I called my doc and told her to switch me, and she told me to take it with a full meal. As soon as I took it, I started to feel nauseated and went to bed. All throughout the night, I was cramping and having nausea like I had the stomach flu. I couldn’t sleep, and my nausea was some of the worst I’ve had. I just got up this morning and have puked a few times along with having bad diarrhea. Not to mention, a bit after I took it, I had a pounding headache last night. I’m currently sitting here, exhausted from not sleeping and sick to my stomach, having to take care of a child. This birth control is NEVER something I would recommend in a million years."

For Birth Control "Been taking this since 2016, has worked great thus far. First couple of months were hard. When you first start taking this, ALWAYS take it with food, I noticed this helped with getting nauseous. My period was always consistent, I always knew when I was going to get it. My periods would only last 1-3 days and were VERY light with little pain. I also recommend if you’re trying to “skip” your period, don’t start the new pack from the beginning, I always experienced spotting this way. Instead, start on the week you left off to avoid spotting. Overall, this has worked great for me. Before taking these, I would experience severe cramps and heavy periods, this definitely has been life-changing for me."

For Endometriosis "I'm 21, and I have been on Tri-Sprintec for a month now and have not suffered from any mood swings whatsoever. I started taking this pill to calm down the irritation of endometriosis and cyst. Hopefully, it's been working because I have been experiencing stomach pains and nausea as if I was pregnant (early morning/night). I was wondering if anyone else has noticed any stomach pains (nothing like cramps). Overall, the pill is okay."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I just finished my first month of this, and I can honestly say I like it! My second day on it, I felt like crap and threw up, but I primarily blame that on myself because I ate very little that day. Overall, great experience so far, my period started while taking the placebo pills, like expected, so I can say it did regulate my period because I usually skip a month. I have noticed my breasts have gotten more sensitive while taking this, but it doesn't bother me too much, and I believe it's even helped with my acne, which is a plus!"

For Birth Control "I was previously on Tri-Cyclen until they switched me over to Tri-Sprintec. At first, I hadn't noticed a difference between the two, but about a few weeks in, I noticed that I started to feel a lot more nauseous. Now that I am about a month into Tri-Sprintec, I've had about all the symptoms in the book. I have had increased negative mood swings, which have put a big damper on my relationship, almost causing me to lose a person I love over dumb, stupid fights, which are caused by me being very irritable throughout the day. Every night this week, I've cried for no reason, and I constantly feel depressed, and my anxiety has been very bad. My boobs are constantly sore, my discharge smells disgusting, I can barely eat, and I'm always angry. Do not use!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Tri-Sprintec for 2 years, and the only time I experienced any side effects was the first month, and it was nausea around my period. But since then, my periods have been like clockwork and light. I haven't gotten pregnant, my acne is totally under control, and my breasts have increased a little. This is the best I've ever taken."

For Acne "I've been on this pill for a full month today. The first couple of weeks were very rough. Nausea was a bad problem, and I felt very sick for a few weeks. Over the past month, I've experienced bad mood swings and an increased appetite, and I couldn't help but eat and snack. I gained about 3 or 4 pounds this month. Not very happy about that! I hope that starts to go away, but my acne has gone about 70 percent away, not fully there. But my doctor said it might take a few months. Redness is gone, but still, pimples are there."

For Birth Control "In the beginning of December, I had an abortion and waited 3 weeks until after the procedure to start taking this pill. Although I was slightly nauseous in the beginning, my skin (which got pretty bad during my pregnancy) started marginally improving, and to my surprise, my mood was perfectly fine. I've been on 2 different birth controls (Estrostep - which made me puke, and Yaz, which made me want to go on a homicidal rampage and/or jump off of a cliff). I'm having a much better experience on Tri-Sprintec. I did get a little snippy during the 3rd week, but I'm usually much worse when I'm not on birth control, so this wasn't a change for the worse. Plus, I got my period when I was supposed to, with no breakthrough bleeding, despite the 3-week delay."

For Birth Control "Well, I took Tri-Sprintec for a couple of months. No problems. Then I stopped taking it for a month. Got back on it. It's been almost a month since I've been back on it, and the first week I was bloated to where it was uncomfortable. Started peeing a lot. Felt very nauseous for 2 weeks, to where it would keep me up at night. After the nausea went away, my boobs felt a little sore. But those symptoms slowly went away. The only big problem I have with it now is that it's making me obsess over my stomach. I'm naturally skinny, and it's made me gain so much weight, and on top of that, I'm still extremely bloated. It's really making me upset! Thinking about changing BC. Haven't had my period this month yet. Should start next week."

For Birth Control "Started taking these after I ran out of Ortho Tri-Cyclen. It was okay for about the first week, then I was starting to feel nauseous and had diarrhea all the time. I hardly ever want to eat, and my emotions are always all over the place. My back, stomach, and legs almost always ache. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND."

For Birth Control "I started Tri-Sprintec 4 months ago. My biggest fear was weight gain. I have a history of an eating disorder (not fully recovered, but better), so needless to say, I was petrified of hormonal birth control and all the horror stories that came along with it. The first month was awful. I'd wake up either really nauseous or starving. There were 2 days where I felt so sick I actually had to call off work. Crackers did seem to help though, if you get this side effect, treat it as if you had morning sickness. I also take my pills at night instead of the morning. There were also some days I was a total b!tch, but that could also just be my personality. As for weight gain, absolutely NONE. In fact, I lost weight when I watched my calories and exercised, so the pills had no effect on my metabolism. By the 3rd and 4th month, all side effects had pretty much vanished, and to be honest, I don't remember the last time I had to pop a pimple. It's great!"

For Birth Control "I had no complications with this birth control other than minor nausea in the mornings. If I missed one and took it too close to another one in the same day, I would be throwing up. I probably needed a lower dosage. I did quit for other personal reasons about 2 months ago and have had anxiety. I've been fearful, scared, depressed, and feeling really weird, and it's not me! I feel I can't control it and really believe it to be the birth control since my hormones are unbalanced now. I've read from other women that it gets better after a few months, and I so hope that is true. I'm debating if I want to go back on it to regulate my hormones and period because since it's been some time, I don't want to get sick."
