For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for just over 3 months, and I am having the WORST side effects. My hair has been falling out constantly, my mood swings are absolutely insane, I have no sex drive, my anxiety has been through the roof, and I feel very depressed (I also feel very bad for my husband trying to deal with me like this). I finally just had to stop taking it!"

For Birth Control "I've read through some of these reviews and thought some were great, and others matched with me perfectly. I started Tri-Sprintec about a month and a half ago. After reading the reviews, I am going to make an appointment with my doctor to get switched to something else. Like many of the other women, I have bad mood swings, am very emotional all of the time, and the way I have been mentally and emotionally lately is interfering with relationships. I used to be much happier, and before reading these reviews, I was thinking I was becoming seriously depressed. I am also starting to shed a lot of hair, which I think is from stress and unhappiness. My personal experience on Tri-Sprintec was bad, but everyone's body reacts differently."

For Birth Control "This is the only BC I've ever taken, so I can't really compare it to others, but it's been good for me. Haven't gained any weight, and it makes my period regular. When I first started taking it, I didn't start the pack when I was supposed to because I only get my period a few times a year. I bled for like 3 weeks, but after that, I was normal. It hasn't caused me to gain weight, but I do think I am a bit more emotional than before. My skin is much clearer since taking it."

For Birth Control "This is absolutely the worst birth control I’ve been on. Not only does it make me bleed constantly, but it also makes me incredibly angry. The mood swings are unbearable. Barely helps with my acne. I will NEVER take this again."

For Birth Control "I've been on different BC for over 20 years, and this pill is awful! I've barely made it through month 3, and my family is ready to put me out on the porch! Awful mood swings, everything makes me mad, and not just angry but fuming rage. I've never had vaginal dryness in my life but do now! My anxiety is through the roof, and I feel an impending doom and depression. It's so bad I had a hard time seeing through what was going on and realizing it was this pill till I started reading the reviews. This made me as nuts as YAZ!"

For Acne "I am nineteen, and I've been on this pill for almost two months now. I am being forced to give it another month, but I can't wait to switch! I have had horrible breakouts, weight gain, nausea, cramping even off my period, mood swings, depression...the list goes on. I have never felt more horrible. I will be trying Yasmin next. Also, if your skin isn't improving in three months, I would definitely switch birth controls."

For Birth Control "I got switched to this medication unknowingly after being a diehard Tri-Nessa fan. The Tri-Sprintec is not the same for me, this isn't even close to being an adequate replacement. I have cried non-stop for weeks, and I didn't know what was wrong with me until I realized that my pill had been switched! First of all, what the heck, man, and second of all... very noticeable difference. I am unstable as anything, and everything feels off."

For Birth Control "I had taken TriNessa for a while, but after it was discontinued, I switched to Tri-Sprintec. The first 3 months of taking it, I had horrible depression. I barely got out of my bed and cried what felt like every day. My acne didn’t seem to get any better, and I did spot a little after starting the birth control. I decided to stop taking it for about 6 months and recently started taking it again. The mood swings came right back less than a week after starting it again. I would never recommend this BC and won’t try it again."

For Birth Control "This birth control has caused me really bad insomnia, I only sleep about 2-4 hours and wake up around the same time every night. Then I am tired during the day! This birth control has caused me to have really bad anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and mood swings. I have been extremely emotional and angry often over nothing. I would not recommend this birth control, and I have also gained 15 pounds."

For Birth Control "Currently 19 years old. Tri-Sprintec is the first birth control pill I have tried. I have been using Tri-Sprintec for 5 months now and am happy with this pill. My skin complexion is so much better, my periods are no longer irregular (however, I do get spotting the week before my period), libido and weight are the same as when I started, and most importantly, I'm not pregnant. However, I do notice that I am more emotionally sensitive than I used to be. Other than that, Tri-Sprintec is working out great for me."

For Birth Control "I have been off Tri-Sprintec for two weeks now, and I feel like myself again. I was extremely moody towards my husband for the last 9 months. I just feel happier. The pill was effective, though, because I didn't get pregnant. I also didn't have any weight gain, and my skin was fine. Just be aware that you can become very emotional and irritable after taking this pill. I'll be looking for another contraceptive that doesn't do that to my body."

For Endometriosis "So, I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for the last 8 years and have had little complaints. Yes, I gained a few pounds when I started it, but with most BC pills, you will gain weight from. However, it was a few pounds compared to Yaz, on which I gained 20 lbs. I also had the worst mood swings of my life on Yaz. So my gynecologist switched me to Tri-Sprintec about 8 years ago, and I have had very few issues on this pill. My periods are shorter, and I noticed my skin is clearer, and I am less moody on it. Also, it has helped tremendously with my endometriosis. I still get cramping before and after my period, but it is tolerable compared to when I took Yaz. I recommend Tri-Sprintec for shorter periods, less cramping, and better skin! Again, every woman's body will react differently, but I have had a pretty good reaction to Tri-Sprintec, and I have been on it for almost a decade now!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for a month, and about a week now, I have been having crazy mood swings that are causing me to not want to do anything, argue with my partner, then be fine 10 minutes later. Very irritable. I will get tired from doing nothing and just want to sleep, sort of like a depression, but I refuse to say I am depressed. I am normally a very happy person, looking to the bright side of everything. Now I just want to cry and sleep. Then come heart palpitations, headaches every day since I have been taking them, feel sick."

For Birth Control "This is the worst medication I have ever taken. I have bled for 3 months straight, have been nauseous EVERY SINGLE DAY, have had the worst mood swings that it almost split up my and my fiancé, and to beat it all, I haven’t had a sex drive because I can't have sex because of bleeding for 3 months!!! Literally, I have gone through about 5 boxes of tampons (the big kind too). Don’t try it. It’s not worth the complete hell."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec since I was 16, and I'm almost 21 now. When I started taking it, the only thing I noticed is that I went from an A to a C cup in bra size. Lately, I've had the most ridiculous PMS and mood swings."

For Endometriosis "Used Tri-Sprintec to manage severe endometriosis pain. Within 2 months of using the pill, I gained 15 lbs. My mood swings were terrible, crying all the time for no reason, up to 4 times a day. Within 3 months, I started getting terrible stomach aches and cramps, and alternated between constipation and diarrhea that would last for hours. I thought it was related to my endo, but when I started getting them 3-5 times a week, my doc said it was IBS, but there wasn't any correlation between what I was eating and my digestive issues. After reading some reviews, I decided to stop birth control altogether. It's been just over a month and I have not had a single stomach ache, diarrhea, or constipation. The mood swings have stabilized and I have not cried once. This is the best I've felt in 10 months! The only good thing I can say about this pill is it did control my endo pain. I had little to no cramping during the month, and during my cycle, it was only the first few days, and it was manageable."

For Acne "I started this birth control, Tri-Sprintec, in July (now November) in hopes of clearing up my mild breakouts. When I started this, I rarely had painful bumps, just whiteheads and blackheads. It is now November, I have taken 4 packs religiously of this medicine, and my skin never cleared up. I am almost positive it made my skin WORSE! I now get painful, deep bumps on my chin and cheeks at least 3-4 times a week. Also, I have terrible mood swings, and my mood can drastically change within hours. I understand that this medicine takes time to work, but it has been 4 months, and it has only gotten worse. Furthermore, in my first 3 months of taking this birth control, I had terrible cramps and a heavy period. This was definitely surprising because I have never had cramps on my period. This birth control may work for other people, but it definitely did not improve my skin and just made me break out even more."

For Birth Control "This is my first time on birth control, and I was a little iffy to start with, seeing all the side effects everyone's been having. Surprisingly, though, it's been all pros so far and very few cons. I'm just about to finish up my first month, and so far I've had no noticeable mood changes or weight gain. I do not have the urge to eat a whole lot like some have been complaining. My breasts are slightly tender, though - I'm not sure if this is due to them swelling/growing or what. I had very minor spotting at the start, but other than that it's been great!"

For Birth Control "This pill works in pregnancy prevention. However, if you are walking in a wedding as a matron of honor and try to lose weight for the event well over six months in advance, then read on. You have next to no chance of losing even a few pounds while on this pill. You will become tired quickly, feel like vomiting, nauseous, and go through a number of mood swings throughout the day. I have tried everything to lose weight and have only gained weight. I am already overweight, so I am depressed about this."

For Birth Control "The first three days of the first couple of months on Tri-Sprintec are a bit weird. Mood swings and nausea, but then your body quickly adjusts. My period comes around the same time every month, but I am heavier the first day. I’ve gained a little bit of weight, but nothing too major. Also, sex drive is the same, but it can get a little dry down there. Overall, I have no major complaints with it, and I’ve been on for 8 months."

For Acne "I'm 18 and have had pretty awful acne since I was 12. My doctor prescribed Tri-Sprintec mainly for the acne, but also for period regulation and birth control. In the 2 weeks I've been taking it, I haven't experienced any of the mood swings or breast tenderness/growth that others have. I've gained a few pounds, but I'm home from college and so eating poorly and not exercising, so I can't really blame that on the birth control. My acne has gotten 10 times worse since starting, with lots of breakouts on my forehead, chin, and around my mouth, which used to be completely clear. As frustrating as it is, I'll stick with it for a few months and hope that my body adjusts and the acne clears up!"

For Birth Control "As far as a birth control that'll do its job? It's been great so far. Side effects? Where do I start? Mood swings (I mean MAJOR), headaches (non-stop), irritable, tired (24/7), I just don't have much drive to do a whole lot of anything. Hasn't affected my weight or acne situation as far as I've noticed, though. It's definitely put a strain on my relationship. I'm relatively new to taking it, so hopefully, all those little kinks will go away. Fingers crossed!"

For Birth Control "I am new to the birth control, but I'm 18 years old and decided to give it a try. I have pretty bad acne, and I heard that this pill could help. For the first two weeks, my acne was a lot worse, but I'm on the third week now, and it's all cleared up now. I take the pill at night so I don't get tired during the day, and it helps me sleep like a baby! I didn't have any nausea or mood swings, although a few times I have gotten more aggravated at little things people do. I was super horny the first week, but that has dialed down a little bit, but not enough that I have no sex drive. I have been a little bloated, but I haven't gained weight. I wish that my breasts would grow more than they have. All in all, a great pill for me."

For Birth Control "I took Tri Nessa for three years and then switched to Tri Sprintec when I moved to a different state. I noticed that I had increased cramping on Tri Sprintec, but otherwise it was relatively the same. It seems as though a lot of the reviews on this site deal with individuals in their first few weeks and months of taking the contraceptive. Although Tri Sprintec may not have been for them, it seems as though the side effects of weight gain and mood swings are most common whenever taking new forms of contraceptive. Taking Tri Sprintec has been a relatively positive experience for me."
