For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for over three months, and Tri-Sprintec has good and bad aspects. The good thing is its contraceptive. The not-so-good things are: my period lasts about ten days; I have really bad mood swings before; it causes nausea; and lastly, my acne has gotten worse. I used Ortho Tri-Cyclen since I was nineteen, and it was absolutely wonderful."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 5 years now, it's the only one I have ever tried, and I'm sticking to it! It has completely prevented any pregnancies, and I never had one negative side effect. I've never had any mood swings, depression, headaches, nausea, breast soreness, or anything. This drug hasn't affected my personality or body at all. Occasionally, I get mild period cramps, but nothing worse than the norm... you can't escape all the blessings of being a girl!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I went to the ER because I was having horrible pains in my lower pelvic area. I’ve never engaged in sexual activity at the time, so STIs were out of the question. Also, I hadn’t had a period in about 7 months. They found a small ovarian cyst on my Fallopian tube. Nonetheless, my gynecologist prescribed me Tri-Sprintec, and I’ve had positive results from it overall. I’ve been taking it since 2014. My periods have become regulated, and I lost the weight that I gained during those months I didn’t have a period. The only negative thing I can say about it is that mood swings are horrible. I’ve always been a sensitive person, but sheesh, this made me even more sensitive. I acknowledge it, and I try to keep my mood under control."

For Birth Control "I took Tri-Sprintec for 2 years while I had no insurance and couldn't afford anything else. On Tri-Sprintec, I experienced weekly migraine headaches, nausea, extremely heavy periods that lasted up to eight days, and horrible cramps that would leave me curled up on the couch and unable to go to school or work. All my life, I had experienced heavy periods, but it seemed to get worse on this. This is not including the terrible mood swings that almost drove me and my boyfriend apart. I hated myself, and it didn't help things that my sex drive was nonexistent. I am now on Loestrin 24 Fe and have had none of these side effects."

For Birth Control "I normally take Tri-Linyah, but my pharmacy was out, so they gave me this because it is generic for it. I've been on it for less than a week, and my emotions are all over the place. All I do is want to cry, my anxiety is crazy high, and I am depressed. Low sex drive, headaches, horrible nausea. I have even experienced vaginal dryness. Very irritable and horrible mood swings. I've never had any of these issues before. I know medicine affects people differently, but I will not be taking this medicine anymore."

For Birth Control "I am going on month 3 of using this birth control, and yes, it works. But it is so not worth it because of the side effects. I already have anxiety, so this birth control has not only made it 10 times worse but has made me extremely depressed and given me insane mood swings that I can only describe as bouts of rage. I have never felt this emotionally unstable in my life. I have also gained around 5-10 pounds. However, this is the cheapest I can get birth control without insurance, so if the side effects don’t end up wearing off, then I will definitely go off of it."

For Birth Control "Low estrogen is a very common thing in my family. I told my doctor about this, and she prescribed Tri-Sprintec because it has triple the amount of estrogen found in women. If you don't have low estrogen and you are using Tri-Sprintec, of course, you are going to experience unpleasant side effects such as acne, mood swings, weight gain, etc. I've been taking it for over a year, and my family says I'm a much more pleasant person to be around now that I have something ridding me of my terrible mood swings. I can effectively lose weight while taking it and have little to no acne. I went two months without it and gained weight, also breaking out in acne."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec for nearly 5 years. As far as preventing pregnancy, it's worked great. It also made my periods lighter. The last week before my placebo week has always kind of made me have mood swings. However, for about the past year, it's unbearable. Every third week of the month, I get severe depression, anxiety is through the roof, which then leads to insomnia and a constant feeling of dread. Nothing has changed in my life that would lead to any of this. I have narrowed it down to the birth control. I'll be switching ASAP."

For Endometriosis "I had high hopes when starting this pill. I had read some good reviews on its website, and my doctor thought it would work perfectly for me. The first month on it was okay, but I slowly started to become a different person. I had feelings of depression most of the time, I was very pessimistic and had constant mood swings. This pill also made me very analytical. I looked into every little thing and made it seem negative. After six months on this, I cannot stand it anymore and am getting off. I am a completely different person, and I haven't been cheerful in months."

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec and switched to Tri-Sprintec to help with minor breakouts I had. Tri-Sprintec gave me the worst cystic acne ever! I waited a month to see if it would get better, but it never did. I also experienced very bad mood swings and depression. It was awful. Listen to the reviews!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I just started taking this Tri-Sprintec about a week ago, and my mood swings aren’t very good. But I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 20 years old and now am 24. I was on some other BC pills which I don’t even remember the name, and it wasn’t doing anything. I wouldn’t have my period for like 3 months straight, all the stubborn facial hair and everything was still the same. I hope this Tri-Sprintec helps me. I don’t even know what to do with myself, lol. I’ve seen so many good reviews about it and specifically asked my doctor for it, so I’m hoping by the time I am done with this first pack, I should see a difference."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for one month now, and it made my period come early. I just took the last blue pill, and I have been bleeding for 14 days nonstop. Now I'm on the placebo pills, so hopefully the bleeding will stop in a few days. At first, it was just spots of blood, and then I had heavy bleeding. It has made me very emotional and sensitive, and the loss of blood has made me so tired with no energy. I've been having really bad nightmares and cramps. I'm going to try a different pill next month because this one is definitely not working for me."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Sprintec for over 3 years now. Within those years, I gained 30 pounds, and my cup size has tripled. It also caused bad mood swings. The only good thing from it was that it kept my skin very clear!"

For Acne "I was on Mononessa for about 5 years, mainly started for acne and also to reduce cramping. Great drug, very sad it was discontinued. Tried Estarylla first because it was 'the same equivalent,' which was not a great experience (BIG mood changes, so tired all the time), so asked to switch to another and got Sprintec. In the first month, I didn't really notice any bad effects, but I'm currently in the second month, and boy, CYSTIC ACNE all over my cheeks. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something, but my routine didn't change, only this drug. I'm so glad I found this site and people's experiences to back up my hunch! So I've been having awful breakouts, gained some weight, and the amount of headaches has increased (I almost feel 'foggy' overall, not sure if anyone else has experienced that too). My periods before birth control were easier than this, quitting when this cycle ends. TL,DR: Cystic acne on cheeks, acne galore, increased headaches, weight gain."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for about 7 months, and this is my first time taking birth control, but it has lightened my periods. But I've gained some weight. My boyfriend has noticed I get moody really easily, and I get very emotional out of nowhere. It made me break out a little more, but it went away and is clearing a lot more now. One thing I've noticed is since taking this pill, I've had some memory loss. I do like this brand because it's lightened my period, and I haven't gotten pregnant, and I'm 18. My periods only last from 4 maybe 5 days, but before they lasted from 7-10 days."

For Birth Control "I am on my second month of taking Tri-Sprintec. I have not experienced any nausea, cramps, mood swings, or weird bleeding from the pill. My last period was actually really short and really light. The price is great too. My only complaint is that it makes my face break out horribly. During the first 2-3 weeks of the first month, my acne got horrible. During the last week and a half, my face cleared up great, though. Now, I am 2 weeks into my second month, and my face looks awful again. I talked to my dermatologist, and she told me that it is a great pill when used for clearing up acne and that my face should look great in 2-4 months. I hope this is true!"

For Acne "I've been on this pill for a full month today. The first couple of weeks were very rough. Nausea was a bad problem, and I felt very sick for a few weeks. Over the past month, I've experienced bad mood swings and an increased appetite, and I couldn't help but eat and snack. I gained about 3 or 4 pounds this month. Not very happy about that! I hope that starts to go away, but my acne has gone about 70 percent away, not fully there. But my doctor said it might take a few months. Redness is gone, but still, pimples are there."

For Birth Control "I can't believe it took me this long to realize my birth control might be the culprit! I had been on Ortho and TriNessa until it was discontinued. I was put on Tri-Sprintec after I stopped breastfeeding my son for a year, and ever since I was put back on birth control, I thought I had been losing my mind! Severe mood swings, high anxiety, and depression. Let's just say my sex drive is non-existent! It has been bothering me for a year, and I finally thought to myself to look into the side effects of Tri-Sprintec, and WOW! We are all in the same boat. I scheduled my appointment to look at other options! Thank you all for sharing your story."

For Acne "When I told my doctor about how previous birth controls had made me break out, she prescribed this medicine. 'It'll clear your face up,' she said. Nope. Nah ah. I have taken this medication for over 2 months, and it has made my acne WORSE. WAY worse. Painful cystic acne worse. All over. I haven't had acne this bad since high school. It has also made my period very heavy and blood clot-filled, which lasts for 7 days. Also, MOOD SWINGS. Horrible mood swings. The only positive is that I haven't gotten pregnant. But is it worth it when you're left feeling horribly self-conscious and depressed???"

For Birth Control "The only reason I found this website is because I noticed all the side effects I was having from this birth control and wanted to know how others felt. I had been thinking something was wrong or I was just depressed or something, but now it all makes sense. I have gained so much weight, it's ridiculous, and I hardly eat anything, yet it makes me want food all the time. It puts me in the worst mood and makes me tired."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for just over 3 months, and I am having the WORST side effects. My hair has been falling out constantly, my mood swings are absolutely insane, I have no sex drive, my anxiety has been through the roof, and I feel very depressed (I also feel very bad for my husband trying to deal with me like this). I finally just had to stop taking it!"

For Birth Control "I've read through some of these reviews and thought some were great, and others matched with me perfectly. I started Tri-Sprintec about a month and a half ago. After reading the reviews, I am going to make an appointment with my doctor to get switched to something else. Like many of the other women, I have bad mood swings, am very emotional all of the time, and the way I have been mentally and emotionally lately is interfering with relationships. I used to be much happier, and before reading these reviews, I was thinking I was becoming seriously depressed. I am also starting to shed a lot of hair, which I think is from stress and unhappiness. My personal experience on Tri-Sprintec was bad, but everyone's body reacts differently."

For Birth Control "I started using Tri-Sprintec about 5 months ago. Let me tell you that it does its job, I have had unprotected sex multiple times, and so far, so good. I have noticed a couple of side effects, which are weight gain, nausea, and mood swings. My weight gain doesn't really bother me. I'm already a tad chubby, but what I like is that it is going to my hips! The biggest downfall is the nausea. Gosh, it really gets to me. It is always in the first week of the pill, I don't know what it is, but out of the 5 months, I've thrown up at least twice that I remember. After the first week, the nausea goes away and is not as strong. Finally, the mood swings. I am already emotional as it is, so this pill gets to me! At first, I would find myself getting upset more than usual and getting overworked more than usual. But now, my body is getting used to it, and it is not as bad. Every girl is different, so the side effects are not all going to be the same, but I hope my review helps somebody!!!"
