For Birth Control "I started taking Tri-Sprintec when I was 17 years old to help regulate my period and prevent me from getting pregnant. A lot of other birth controls gave me headaches, but this one didn't. I took this birth control for 3 years until it landed me in the ICU for a month with stubborn blood clots to the point where I nearly died and needed 6+ surgeries on my left leg. This birth control was amazing for 3 years, it cleared my skin amazingly... but the risk is just too high. This drug nearly killed me."

For Acne "I started taking Tri-Sprintec to treat acne, and I just finished my first pack. My acne has always been moderate, but after a couple of days of the pill, I had a HUGE flare, but then it went back down to normal after a week or so (normal for me being 2-6 new zits every morning and every night). But, I know it will take 3-6 months for it to regulate my body, so I'll be patient and wait. I will comment and say that it did have a few negative side effects. I started to get headaches later in the night. I'm very irritable, tired, and down. I gained a little weight, but nothing that bugs me that much. I'm not recommending against this pill as I've only been on it for a month, and everyone's body is different. Just be prepared and wait, they say."

For Birth Control "Nothing new that isn't already listed on here multiple times. I started taking this medication about a month ago and noticed within the first week terrible mood swings, severe nausea, and a huge change to my motivations and relationships. Although I haven't gained any weight, I constantly feel bloated and feel bigger than ever in my stomach area. I've never had headaches in my life, but since taking this medication, they have become something common. I would never recommend this medication to anyone. Aside from the terrible feeling it makes you have, it really does put a strain on your relationships and desires to be productive throughout the day."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec every single day, nonstop for about 6 or 7 years now. I have never really had any problems with it until now. I feel like it has been the cause of major migraines and headaches for the past year. I also feel like it is starting to cause slight anxiety and panic attacks. I am tired of my moods changing and feeling panicky and worried and anxious, and I know it's this pill. Maybe it's because I've been on it so long? Don't know. I am thinking about switching to an IUD. Other than the symptoms I am starting to feel now, I never had an issue the first few years on it. I actually felt great until now."

For Birth Control "I was switched from Yasmin to Tri-Sprintec in December 2010 because it was cheaper. At first, I was hesitant to make the switch, but I have found it to be about the same. The only discomfort I experienced was some nausea and headaches within the first 3 months or so. I haven't experienced any weight gain; my periods are very manageable overall, and I don't have any acne breakouts. I went from paying $60/month to $9/month; definitely worth the switch!"

"My experience with Tri-Sprintec was horrible. I was recommended to this because my doctor said it would help clear up my acne and that my insurance would pay for it. This is my first birth control pill. The first week I had severe side effects. My head was constantly hurting, I gained 10 pounds, I had a huge increase in appetite, my mood swings got worse, and I always felt nausea after everything I ate. I stopped taking it after 6 days. I'm requesting an immediate switch to something else."

For Birth Control "The bad reviews are true! I've been on this for over three months now, and I hate it. My boobs swelled up one full size and are constantly tender and sore. I gained about five pounds, and I really feel like it increases bloating and abdominal discomfort because that's what I get immediately after I take my pill. I've also developed a daily headache that starts in the afternoon and lasts until that night. Annoying and probably dangerous. I've grown to hate taking this pill. My anxiety and depression were already bad, but this pill just zaps all my energy and motivation and puts me in extremely bad moods that affect my relationships. I'm going to ask to be switched to a low-dose pill or go back to Paragard."

For Acne "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for at least 11 years. I started on it when I was 15, and I’m now 25. I stopped taking it to try and have a baby, and I succeeded, but once I had my son, I immediately went back on the pill. My acne has always been next to nothing on this pill, but about a month ago, I stopped taking it for 2 weeks, and let me tell you, MY ACNE BLEW UP after I started back on it. I never have a clear face anymore. During those two weeks I was off Tri-Sprintec, I felt great. Now that I’m back on it, I just don’t feel like myself. I’m tired all the time. My sex drive is next to nothing. I have the worst acne. I have headaches almost every single day. I’m angry a lot, and I get sad suddenly. I’m anxious all the time. I will say that it has kept me from getting pregnant. My periods aren’t as bad as they were when I was off birth control, but recently, my periods have been pretty heavy."

For Acne "I was on Tri-Sprintec for 4 years, and I was slightly depressed but had no other symptoms and had a clear face. Stopped taking it for 6 months, and I broke out so badly and still am breaking out, so I just got back on it. This is week 3, and my acne is really bad, but I know this works, so I’m sticking it out. My symptoms right now, about to start week 4, are dizziness, nausea, headache, swollen feet, extremely bigger appetite, and some weight gain. I know this stuff works because I never had acne before, and then I got off it, and my skin changed dramatically. I suggest it for acne reasons! Just give it time because it works, but you have to be patient, which is hard when you have bad acne :("

For Ovarian Cysts "I've been on Ortho, Aviane, and this one. Ortho was my favorite. Aviane was not good. As for this one, the first months it gave me whiteheads. It went away, and ever since, my skin has been amazing. I think I had one pimple since. I seemed to feel decent. Then, I noticed my period wasn't that light. I get weird abdominal pains. I feel like I have fatigue, and I'm tired. This pill gives me really bad headaches at the fourth week that makes me unproductive. But the worst thing is that I seem to have developed depression. I'm not as zombie-like with Aviane, but I feel bipolar, and I feel like my pressure is up. I have anxiety and trouble sleeping. The depression seems to be getting worse and worse every time the fourth week comes around. I have zero sex drive with my husband, and I don't even enjoy food. But there are times when my mood is good, and other times I feel practically suicidal. It's scary. Unfortunately, I need to take a break from BC and see what's going on."

For Birth Control "I no longer take these pills! Thank goodness! I took Tri-Sprintec for over a year before switching to a progestin pill. With Tri-Sprintec, I had high blood pressure, gained weight, had acne, headaches almost every day, and rashes/red bumps on my arms and thighs that lasted for a week. Also, my periods were long (5 days) and heavy! It was horrible! It does its job to prevent pregnancy, but the side effects were awful!"

For Birth Control "Switched from Microgestin. Pros: Cleared acne. Less mood swings. Cons: Breakthrough bleeding!! Nauseous (most times). Headaches/migraines (often). Depressed (sometimes). Pretty much felt like pregnancy symptoms, but every day for the past 3 months. If I didn’t have much bleeding and didn’t feel so nauseous, I probably would be okay. Going to switch to another BC pill."

For Acne "I was assured by my prescriber (NurX) that this birth control would specifically clear my skin, as that was my main concern with choosing a birth control. This has been my worst experience ever. My skin is worse than it has ever been (I can't even cover it with full-coverage makeup). I have experienced severe breast pain for three months now. I had a constant flow of discharge for the first month. I had terrible headaches and mood swings-I even almost passed out a few times during the first couple of weeks on this pill. I would not recommend this pill to ANYONE, nor would I recommend trusting NurX as a prescriber."

For Birth Control "This birth control was a nightmare. Gave me crazy headaches every day that would not be cured even by prescription medication! I couldn’t even get through my first month on pills because it was unbearable."

For Acne "Please, please read! When I was younger, my skin was good. I would get a pimple here and there, as a common teen, but later I broke out. Not bad, don't get me wrong, but I broke out on my cheeks and a lot on my forehead. I would have tiny, skin-colored bumps, they would go and come back here and there. So, on my cheeks, I usually had at least 6 zits on them. My skin is soft, but I have red spots all over my cheeks. Anyway, so let's get into Tri-Sprintec. I had gone to my dermatologist, and he prescribed me some ointment and some sensitive skin facial cleanser. Now I had been prescribed Tri-Sprintec, and let me tell you, worst experience EVER! I only lasted 2 days! Headaches and vomiting! Lost 12 pounds."

For Acne "This is an initial review seeing as though I haven't even gotten through the first pack yet. My doctor prescribed Tri-Sprintec for my skin and to avoid weight gain. I take the pill every day at 5:30 pm. An odd daily pattern has developed. In the morning I feel normal. Then by the early afternoon, I'll get a killer headache a couple of hours before it's time to take the pill! Once I take it, the headache subsides, but I get nausea instantly (sometimes vomit) and lose my appetite for the night. Then I get fatigued fast and have been sleeping very early. By the next morning I feel back to normal. The headaches and nausea suck! I also noticed really painful under-the-skin pimples. Waiting for skin to clear. Boobs are getting bigger, that's a plus."

For Endometriosis "I rated it a 4 because I have only taken it for a week now and have already experienced mood swings. I just get super angry for no reason. Nausea, headaches, and since I’ve been taking it, I’ve been getting severe stomach cramps. I want to keep taking it to help my periods because they are painful and long due to endometriosis, so hopefully it will stop, but we will see."

For Birth Control "I'm 20 years old and have been on Tri-Sprintec for 6 days. This is my first contraceptive pill and will not be staying with it. I normally do not have mood swings, even around my period, but within the first few days of taking Tri-Sprintec, I had to call my doctor and switch pills. I felt absolutely crazy and ended up skipping classes because I was crying too badly to attend. It also gave me a couple of terrible headaches, which could have been an allergic reaction. Whatever it was, I will not be taking this any longer."

For Birth Control "This birth control has been great! I’ve heard of many people getting nauseous and headaches, yet that hasn’t occurred to me at all. I didn’t gain any weight as well, I did get some mood changes the first week of being on them, but that was it. Definitely recommend!!!"
