For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for 3 weeks now, I've got 3 blue pills left. I've been on 4 different kinds of birth control in the past, and I can honestly say that Sprintec has been my favorite! I have had no mood swings or weight gain, which is awesome. I had horrible weight gain with other birth controls. I have chronic migraines, and I haven't had any increase in them or any more acne than normal. I did have a very suppressed appetite at first, I was very hungry but would sit down to eat and just be nauseous at the thought. That only lasted a week and a half or so. My breasts have grown, which I'm not complaining about at all. All in all, I'm very pleased and would recommend Sprintec to anyone!"

For Birth Control "Normal side effects from Sprintec 28 pills. Took pills on time every day. The first week of taking the pills, I experienced some minor mood swings and bloating, but that was about it. I've had slight cravings for chocolate. Maintained my usual diet and exercise. No weight gain or weight loss. No increase or decrease in acne. Experienced minor spotting the week before my period. Other than that, so far so good. If you're looking for any benefits outside of birth control, this is not the pill for you. If you're looking for a birth control that doesn't disrupt your regular everyday routine, I recommend Sprintec 28. Of course, pills affect everyone differently. I mentally prepared myself for all the negative side effects that might occur, just to find that there really weren't any."

For Birth Control "I am going now on my 2nd year using this, and it's great. My sex drive is great, probably got better too. I did not experience much weight gain that isn't normal. I did experience mood swings, especially when I would have my periods. I guess in that sense it was a bit bad, I'd cry or get mad VERY easily, and I did experience cramping during my cycle. All in all, I do not mind it at all, it is good for what it is for because I am not pregnant. I did take my pill 18 hours late, almost a whole other day, but I was still fine. This worked great for me. I am 5'1''. I weighed 118 when I started, now I weigh 130 lbs. Considering it's been two years, I don't think it's bad, perhaps because my hips got a little wider, but nothing out of the ordinary."

For Birth Control "I have started taking this birth control last month, and I hate it. I had a week-long period, which is normal. Then the next week, I had dark brown discharge for a week. Then I started bleeding again the third week for about 3-4 days. My cramps are severe. Mood swings are out of control."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control by my doctor to help with my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome two months ago. I hadn't had a period in over 6 months, the first one was right on time and felt and looked like my uterus was falling out. Month two's period has been nonexistent. I did experience the migraines before my 'period.' My face has cleared up, which I am extremely happy about, I looked like I was 13 going through puberty again. My breasts have grown a little, I didn't notice, but my boyfriend did. The one bad thing I have to say about this pill is the mood swings, good lord, are they bad. I fly off the handle for the littlest things, things that I used to not care about at all. My sex drive has lowered, and dryness is there."

For Birth Control "I switched to Sprintec (because it was cheap) from Amethia after losing my insurance. I began experiencing acne breakouts on my face and very sudden mood swings, which I had not experienced on Amethia. I am no longer using Sprintec because the side effects are not worth it."

For Birth Control "I love this pill. I just finished my first month, and the reviews scared me, but my life is exactly the same as it was before. Except, of course, I can have unprotected sex. Also, my period used to be such a heavy flow, but the period I had this month was 3 days - the first and last were basically just spotting, and the middle day was a pretty light flow. I have noticed some mood swings around my period, but nothing unmanageable. After the first few days on the pill, the nausea was gone. No weight gain, no breast enlargement, no acne. I love it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Sprintec for the past 6 months. The first day I started taking it, I got a really bad headache and nausea. Every time I start a new cycle, I get a light headache. I’ve gained about 10 pounds since I started; I blame it on the hormones because I exercise 5 times a week and have a good eating habit. Also, some mood swings are noticeable, but again, hormones. However, it regulated my period; I could go 2-3 months without getting it, and it also completely took away the cramps. It’s worked well, but I’m indecisive if I should continue using it because of the weight, headaches, and mood swings."

For Birth Control "I've never taken birth control before because I've never been sexually active (and I'm still not). I started this a few months before my wedding, and it seemed totally fine at first. I read a ton of reviews that warned of major mood swings and irritability, but I never experienced that. I also read a ton of reviews that praised this pill for helping with flawless skin, but that is NOT the case for me. While my chest did grow and I didn't have mood swings or weight gain, I experienced some of the most painful and humiliating acne of my life while taking it. My forehead never breaks out, but for 3 constant months it's been a war zone, as are my cheeks, chin, and brow area. I'm switching to Yaz. Fingers crossed I clear up before the big day."

For Birth Control "I am a few days short of finishing my first month of this pill. The first week and a half of taking it, I experienced no changes. After this, I started to get extremely bloated and emotional. I was not even able to wear my jeans for about a week because I just felt like everything was swollen. I didn’t feel very depressed, but mostly angry at any little thing. I had spotting for about a week before I started my sugar pills, then my periods were extremely heavy. I got severe menstrual cramps, even worse than before I started the pill. Now that I’m on the sugar pills, I do feel a bit sad/depressed sometimes. I have noticed an increase in breast size and sex drive. My skin has been getting flare-ups, which I hope will go away as I keep taking it."

For Birth Control "I used Sprintec for about a year and a half, and I gained an immense amount of weight. Side effects would include sore breasts and nausea if I had to start over because I forgot. The week I stopped taking Sprintec, I lost about 5 lb, and it's been about a year since I've been off Sprintec, and without even trying, I lost 45 pounds. I also had very bad mood swings and became very emotional. On the good side, my acne cleared up, and my period was light and only lasted 4-5 days."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am 21, and I was put on this because of the abnormal bleeding I was having. I've been taking it for 3 weeks. I had a few of the other side effects that were listed. For the first week and a half, I was very emotional and just wanted to sleep and eat, but after I got through that, it was perfect. My face cleared up after the emotional roller coaster, I could manage my appetite, and could function regularly. I also had a little nausea in the afternoon because I take it right after breakfast. My cramps during ovulation were a little bit worse than before but tolerable and short-lasting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, but then again, it will affect everyone differently."

For Birth Control "Honestly hated this. I wasn’t on it for long enough to really get an idea of how this pill was because the side effects were so bad that I couldn’t take it anymore. It gave me bad acne (which I never get), I was bloated all day, every day and gained 11 pounds in about two weeks, got awful mood swings, and had a really low sex drive. The only reason I’m giving this pill two points is one for preventing pregnancy and one for not causing spotting, which some pills cause. It took me about two months after going off the pill to lose the weight. I switched to a low dose pill and liked it way more. My boobs also went up a size or two and were painful, but that is expected with the pill. Would recommend this pill to no one though as I had really extreme side effects."

For Ovarian Cysts "This medication is HORRIBLE! I was originally on Yaz, then switched to MonoNessa. However, MonoNessa is very difficult to find, and Sprintec was offered by my pharmacy, so I reluctantly agreed. What a HORRIBLE experience! I took it for 3 days, and my mood swings were unbearable! I experienced really negative thoughts, which I NEVER experience. I wanted to cry all the time, too. I promptly stopped it and switched back to Yaz, but I'm waiting for a progestin-only pill since I react badly to estrogen. I do not recommend Sprintec at all."

For Birth Control "Overall, I liked this pill. The positives outweighed the negatives for me. Initially, I took it to change my cycle due to a vacation I was going on. I decided to stay on it for another 4 months as birth control. The positives: regular period, no weight gain, no breakthrough bleeding, no more cramping, no co-pay, and NO babies! The negatives: mood swings, leg cramps, occasional cystic acne (a week before and during placebo week), remembering to take it every day, and breast tenderness. Eventually, I got tired of remembering to take a pill every day, so I switched to the Nexplanon arm implant, which has been great so far. If the pill doesn't work out for you, there are other good options!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for about a year, and it's okay. My skin is absolutely perfect, but it has made me extremely emotional to the point where I can cry just thinking about something sad (something that would never happen to me before taking these pills), and my anxiety is just constantly on. I'm glad to see that I am not the only one with these severe emotional symptoms coming from this pill."

For Birth Control "I realized after taking this birth control I didn't have suicidal thoughts anymore. It keeps me sane and happy. No mood swings for me. I'm a better person on this. Also, no daily discharge is a plus. I do find that my want for sex has gone down a lot. But it works for my marriage. Hair loss after three months due to the change of my estrogen but grew back. I totally recommend it for anyone over 35. Also, expected a 13-pound weight gain when using."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for about 3 months now. I would say I used to be somewhat of a nonchalant person, but with this, I have been a lot more emotional and moody. Some days I wake up with no motivation and just feel nothing. Or some days I listen to a song and want to cry because it's really good or sad. I just feel depressed a majority of the time and cry for no reason or because of even the littlest thing, or overthinking. My appetite with this pill has definitely changed as well, I feel like I'm always hungry or craving something to eat or drink. Libido is still the same. And my boobs are very sensitive and seem bigger, so I guess that's a plus. But hey, I haven't gotten pregnant and been getting my period consistently."

For Birth Control "I have been on it for 4 months now. It was okay at first, then I realized I was having mood swings. I have no sex drive whatsoever. Annoying vaginal dryness when I do, and it hurts. I also have yeast infections right before my period for the past 2 months, which I never had before in my life. Nothing has changed, so I think the pill is to blame. My period is also a little unpredictable but very light. My skin hasn't gotten better but a little worse. Not much weight gain, though. It's okay, but just not the right one for me. But I didn't get pregnant, so that's great!"

For Birth Control "So I’ll start this off by saying I’m 29 and have been on this pill since I was 16. (Minus like four years when I had an IUD and a planned pregnancy.) When I was younger, this pill was great, cleared up acne with no problem, never had a pregnancy scare, and never had any emotional issues. However, I noticed I was starting to feel very emotional towards the end of the pack, like severely emotional. I stopped taking it since my husband and I would be planning for a baby soon anyways. I felt 100 times better. Happier and healthier, my endurance at the gym went up, and everything was better. I got pregnant, had no issues with PPD, and was so happy the first two months with my baby. Then I started this pill. By the end of the second month of being on it, I was borderline suicidal, had major anxiety all the time, was hungry all the time, and had so much rage. It was scary. The only thing that changed was birth control. I stopped taking it, and after a few days felt better."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Sprintec for 7 months. It’s not perfect, but I’ve had a fairly positive experience with it compared to other BC pills, which caused severe mood swings, depression, and constant nausea. I have gained weight on this pill, which isn’t great (my diet hasn’t changed and exercise has increased). My acne-prone skin has been doing great, however, and is clear. I always get one minor breakout the week before placebo/withdrawal bleeding. I also experience nausea and minor mood swings in the 2-3 days leading up to my withdrawal bleed. These side effects have all been very consistent and predictable for me, which I haven’t found on any other pill. So aside from the stubborn weight, I’m happy with this BC."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Sprintec in March. After I had COVID-19 in January, my period stopped coming. I went to my OB, and he started me on Sprintec to try to regulate my cycles. I have never been regular prior to getting on Sprintec. I haven’t experienced any weight gain/loss, acne, or mood swings. Overall, this medication just does what it was meant to do for me, and that’s it, nothing more or less."

For Birth Control "I personally have had a horrible experience with this birth control. Of course, I understand it's going to affect everyone in a different way, but I wanted to share my experience. Around the third month of taking Sprintec, I started noticing my mood swings were out of control. If I'm not mad, I usually just feel numb. I don't genuinely feel excited about anything. I have 0 sex drive, and I'm only 21 years old. It made my breasts bigger, and I feel like I gained a little weight, which I don't mind. I'm looking to switch to something with lower estrogen!"
