For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control that I have ever used. I was switched to this when my pharmacy stopped carrying Sprintec. I experienced three and one-half weeks of spotting and horrible cramping while on the pill. I did not experience these symptoms while on any other birth control pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Trinessa for about 2 years, and it worked great, but I wanted to stop having periods, so I stopped taking the placebo pills. I had spotting every day for about 2 months. My gyno switched me to Estarylla, and I have had clear skin, no weight gain, nothing wrong at all, and absolutely no spotting! I love this birth control."

For Birth Control "I was on Mononessa for years. Walgreens switched me over to Estarylla, and I have had nothing but problems: spotting between periods, mood swings, and cramping. It has been awful. I felt like I was sick or had a medical problem until I read the other reviews. I called Walgreens and lodged a complaint. I will have to find a new pharmacy. I have been on this medication for 2 months, and I can’t take it anymore."

For Birth Control "If I could give this pill 0 stars, I would. As most people, I started with Mononessa. I took Mononessa for about 3 years until one day Walgreens switched me to Sprintec. Then, a month later, they switched me to Estarylla. I haven't been the same ever since. I've been on it for a good two months, hoping the side effects would disappear. They didn't. For these past two months, I have been unbelievably depressed. I have also been spotting every day. I get itchy spots all over my skin, and at first I thought it was some kind of bug bite, until I read these reviews. I also use birth control pills for acne. When I was on Mononessa, my face was so clear. When I started taking Estarylla, I started getting breakouts which turned into terrible acne. At least I'm not pregnant though... right? All of that just to not have a kid? Count me out. I am calling my doctor ASAP to see if they can switch me to a different pharmacy. I do NOT recommend this pill to ANYONE."

For Ovarian Cysts "I was on Mononessa for several years. The pharmacy stopped carrying that brand and switched to this brand. The first three months were not great but tolerable. Periods were moderate flow but still an average of 5 days long. The fourth month on this drug started nausea mid-cycle. Then spotting started the third week of the pack, followed by an 8-day moderate flow period. This is absolutely awful. I take the pill at the exact same time every day, never missed a pill. This pill is supposed to be the same as Ortho-Cyclen and the other generics, but I think there is something drastically wrong with this brand. Do NOT recommend this one at all. Back to find Mononessa."

For Birth Control "So I have been on Estarylla for almost a month, and I LOVE it. I read the reviews and was very hesitant to take this pill at first. I have never been happier, felt safer with my partner. I feel like I have a higher sex drive ever since I started taking this pill. Everyone’s body is different, so if you’re scared to take it because of these reviews, try it out for yourself to see if it works for you. The only side effect I’ve experienced was really light spotting for 1-2 days. I put off taking this for months because of the reviews, but I was scared for nothing. Hope this pill works as well for you as it did for me."

For Acne "I'm 20 years old, East Asian with oily skin. I decided to try birth control after months of antibiotics and topicals that did nothing for my cystic acne. Estarylla is the first birth control I'm taking, and I started last month. I'm currently on my second pack, and the acne has not gotten better. In fact, I think it's making my acne worse right now (cystic acne on the chin area). Other people's reviews said how it took their body a few months to adjust to the birth control and for it to clear up their acne, so I'm really hoping that happens to me too. I'm going to stay on this birth control for another month and see what happens. I have been experiencing insomnia for the past week, but I'm not sure if this is caused by the birth control or if it's just stress from school. When I was on the first pack, I did experience spotting every day after my period ended, but that has stopped once I got my period the second month. I have not experienced any weight gain, mood swings, or anxiety."

For Birth Control "This has been awful. I had to switch from Mononessa to Estarylla. Before this, Mononessa was perfect, and before that, I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. These past 4 months have been terrible. I cry every day, and it’s affecting my relationships with the people I love. I am spotting every day, even when I’m not on my period. I have no enjoyment in the things I used to enjoy, and I have 0 energy. This is absolutely horrible, and I’m definitely switching this week because I cannot take this anymore."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control almost 6 months ago. I'm switching next week, I can't take it anymore! I have experienced about 15 lbs in weight gain, I have horrible mood swings the week before my period and terrible cramping. I get very sensitive for about the first hour after taking the pill. My periods were shortened, usually 3 days max... until last week, I was spotting for about 2 weeks. The only positive, my skin cleared up, but broke out faithfully during period week. I would highly NOT recommend."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Microgestin and was having light spotting off my period, so I switched to Estarylla. It was the beginning of my freshman year, first semester, so I thought I was just stressed, but by the third week of taking this pill, I realized it caused me to become extremely depressed. I was unable to do anything and did not leave my dorm ever. I couldn’t eat (lost 5 pounds) and always had low self-esteem. I stopped taking it and ended up starting a new pill a month later and am having similar side effects. I only stopped taking Estarylla about a month ago but can’t describe the mental and emotional pain I was going through. I do not recommend this pill at all, I wish I never took it because it severely affected me this first semester of school, and I’m hoping I go back to normal soon."

For Birth Control "Just like everyone else, Walgreens recently switched me to Estarylla from Mononessa. I've been on a form of generic BC for 15 years and never experienced anything like the last two months. My acne is cystic and causing scarring on my face, which has never happened. I have had nausea, and my periods are so out of whack. I literally never know when I am starting or ending and also have random spotting. I am extremely irritable and moody. I have had some issues with random hives. I am not sure if it's related, but seeing all the other issues this is causing, I am just going to believe this is the culprit. I would NOT recommend this generic brand. I am switching pharmacies."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for 3 weeks, and I feel sick all the time and have nausea after I eat. I have had spotting for 2 weeks nonstop, and I have not felt like myself since taking this. I also was very bloated the second week after taking Estarylla. I've been very anxious and feel fatigued and have no appetite at all. Do not take this birth control. I'm not sure how good it works with preventing pregnancy, but it's definitely not worth all the side effects that come with it."

For Birth Control "I've been using birth control pills for over 10 years, and this one has been the best for me. Other ones cause me to have spotting, mood swings, etc. I haven't had any side effects with this one. My period is lighter, regulated, no spotting, no mood swings, no headaches, no acne. I do feel bloated, but that can be due to my poor diet. Everybody's different and may react poorly to it, but it's worth a shot. You never know until you try it. I was worried because of all the reviews, but it turned out great for me."

For Birth Control "I thought I was crazy, and I believed the assurance that Estarylla was like my go-to Mononessa, and it's so wrong. Thank you all for the reviews that make me know it's not just me! Spotting weeks 2-3, acne, cramps/clotting horribly when on period, terrible mood swings, painful breasts for weeks. No more! Yeah, I'm not pregnant, it's doing its job, but for all the insane issues over the last 3 months, I may as well be. I feel like a crazy person."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Lo-Marzia for 4 years until I lost my health insurance, and I had to switch to Estarylla. I got it on the Pill Club. After 3/4 months, I started getting EXTREMELY depressed, I feel blank, I have constant brain fog, I don't like my life on this birth control. Also, it made my periods way longer and heavier, and my PMS symptoms worse. I have cramps now, which I've never had, acne, extreme bloating, spotting a whole week before my period, so many other side effects. I really can't wait to get off of this one, I hope everything goes back to normal afterwards."

For Acne "I’ve been on this pill for 2 months now, and I’ve had a good experience with it! The first month I had 2 days of spotting and that’s it, and my period came and went exactly when it was supposed to. The second month has been completely normal, although my period is one day late even taking the estrogen pill. It does help my acne through the month, but I do still get a few hormonal breakouts the couple of days before my period, hopefully, that gets better over time. I hope this helped!"
