For Birth Control "I have been on Larin Fe for about 4 years now and started when I was 16. I would say there are many pros and cons to this specific birth control. For starters, my acne fully cleared up on my entire body, and my periods are lighter and shorter. However, my periods are not always regular, and I’ve experienced acid reflux and nausea from Larin Fe. It definitely took my body quite a bit of time to adjust to this birth control, and for the first couple of months, I experienced very severe side effects such as weight change and mood swings. Overall, everyone’s bodies are different, but this is my personal experience."

For Birth Control "Please read the reviews and listen to them! This pill is terrible. I've been on birth control for years now and was recently switched to this one because Medicaid didn't cover my Junel. I've been taking this for 2 months now, and I've missed my period completely for both months - I always used to get a light period before this one. I've also experienced more depression/anxiety, including crying a lot for seemingly no reason, nausea, and stomach cramping! The first month, I broke out in acne too. Please avoid this one if you can, I cannot wait to get back on Junel."

For Birth Control "Took Larin Fe 1/20 for almost two years after I had my second IUD removed because it was inserted incorrectly. I would have never gone back on the pill, but I needed my muscle to heal from the IUD being lodged into it. Would not recommend this brand of birth control pills to anyone, I could tell how horrible it made me feel within a month or two of using it. I’m a pretty upbeat person who loves physical activity and being around friends/family, but I quickly hated all those things and found it hard to stay happy all the time. The littlest inconvenient would push me over the edge, and it was nowhere near normal. I’ve recently quit it cold turkey and feel AMAZING. I’m back to enjoying life and do not recommend this brand of pill to anyone at all."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Larin Fe for about two months now. This was my first time ever being on BC. The first week I was nauseous and moody. I bled for 20+ days, which is abnormal for my normal cycle. My gyno told me to keep taking it, so I did. Now the original bleeding has stopped, but my period is super late. I’ve been cramping on and off for weeks, but no blood. I’ve also been moody and snappy. My sex drive has decreased. I’m hoping when I finish my second pack later this week, everything will go back to normal."

For Birth Control "Dr. prescribed Larin Fe because I wanted to not have much of a period and help with my acne! I was on it about a month, and I could tell I was easily aggravated and felt enraged sometimes! Talked to Dr. and said give it 3 months to give it time to completely work! 3 months later, I was still feeling ill, enraged, low sex drive, but no periods! It wasn't worth it to me! Called Dr. and he wanted to give me an anxiety pill! I said nope and stopped taking it! 2 weeks later, and I am experiencing the worst symptoms I have ever felt! Cramps, nauseous, and back hurting! It's been horrible! 3 days later, I went to Dr. and got nausea meds and Ultram for pain! I wouldn't recommend this pill!"

For Birth Control "I am 18 and got on Junel Fe 1.5/30 for 3 months, and on the 4th pack, my mom switched pharmacies, and the new pharmacy gave me Larin Fe 1.5/30 and said it was exactly the same and I shouldn’t see any differences, but that isn’t even true. It hasn’t been bad for me except having random cramps throughout the entire month and slight backaches. I was nauseous at first, but it has gone away for the most part. Junel didn’t give me as much nausea at first or bad cramps randomly as much, but since I’ve taken Larin Fe, I haven’t had much breast tenderness at all. Other slight issue I’ve had this month was feeling tired much more, but not enough to interfere with anything, but sometimes annoying. Overall, it’s not horrible, and everyone experiences it differently!"

For Birth Control "DON'T TAKE LARIN FE. Within 2 weeks, I was a mess with the emotional stability of a 13-year-old. I was miserable; depressed, irritable, impulsive. I was tired all the time and had no motivation to do anything at all, even simple tasks or things I typically enjoy. I cried constantly for no reason (I am not a crier). I felt nauseous and had to take my weight in antacids. I started this pill to regulate my incredibly painful period... I would take those awful periods over this any day. I know it takes a while for your body to adjust, and I have been off the pill for quite some time, so maybe it was just a bit of a shock to my system. But no thanks."

For Birth Control "Larin is absolutely the worst thing I've ever been on! I got on Depo at 18, this was my first time getting on birth control. Depo simply worked for me. I was on Depo for almost 6 years and never had ONE SIDE effect. Skin was always crystal clear, never had a period or spotting except once or twice a year, never gained any weight, no mood swings or energy issues. I switched to Larin because of the risk of osteoporosis when on Depo. Let's just say I'm switching back to Depo next week after being on Larin for 3 months. I would much rather deal with osteoporosis than these side effects. My skin has never been this bad in my life. It's dry, and I have so much hormonal acne that won't go away (I also know it's the birth control because on the off week from the pill, my skin instantly begins to clear up). I'm so dehydrated all the time now. I've been experiencing horrible motion sickness and vomiting. My breasts are swollen and tender all the time. My energy levels and sleep patterns are horrible. 0/10"

For Birth Control "Horrible headaches, nausea, and stomach pain. Sharp stomach pain off and on all day. Not the same as Microgestin. I didn’t have these side effects with Microgestin."

For Birth Control "I stopped taking this pill two months ago due to the nightmare that was my life while on this pill. I got switched from Gildess to this one simply because my doctor's office didn't carry it anymore. Within the seven months that I was on this pill, I was nauseous from the time that I woke up to the time that I went to bed. In fact, at least once a week, I would actually get sick from being so nauseous. In addition, I ended up gaining 25 pounds...and I've never had weight issues with any birth control I've taken prior. This weight gain is extremely embarrassing to the point where I've had worsened depression. The only good thing I can say about this pill is that it does regulate your periods, to where mine only lasted about a day. Very light."
