For Birth Control "In the beginning, Larin FE was a little rough. I was nauseous 1-2 times a day. Luckily, I had Zofran. I had acne terribly. I was moody and had random stomach pain. But that was the beginning. DON'T RATE THIS WITHIN A COUPLE OF WEEKS OF TAKING IT. If I went by the bad reviews of people who had only taken this a couple of weeks, I wouldn’t have gotten it. First off, your body hasn’t even had time to adjust to the medicine in that amount of time. I’m halfway through my second pack and now I don’t have acne, maybe a small blemish occasionally, no weight gain yet, no more nausea, no headaches. It’s great now that my body is used to it. I bled lightly for about three days the first week I started it, but since then I’ve not had a period. I had spotting for one day about a week ago, and usually, my period is 3 days and a regular flow but painful, so I don’t mind skipping it. If you try this birth control, give your body until maybe a few packs to adjust. Any meds you take, you have to adjust to the hormones before you know if it is good for you or not."

For Birth Control "A good friend of mine's daughter just recently died from Larin Fe side effects. She was 26 years old, who had a bad headache, went to InstaCare, who gave her migraine meds and sent her home. She had a seizure later that night, transported by ambulance to the hospital. She now has a blood clot on the brain and was dehydrated. This young lady had just received two college degrees and lost her life because of this drug. The doctor could only say, 'it's rare, but it happens.' Really?"

For Birth Control "So I was recommended to take this birth control because I have a cyst on my ovary. They are trying to see if birth control would stop it from growing. I'm 24, never was on birth control, never had a pregnancy scare, nothing. I've been taking this birth control since Oct 2019. And it's been the worst. The first month wasn't that bad, the second month until now has been awful, my boobs are extremely sore and enlarged, they never stop hurting. I will take my bra off and have to grab them because that's how bad they hurt! The period situation I have been spotting with cramps for 2 weeks now, it's annoying because I don't have a clue when it's going to stop. I get headaches, I don't really eat, mood swings are bad, in a horrible state of depression, and it's just like you can't tell what is wrong with you! I called my gynecologist and am waiting for my appointment to get off of it and back to how I was living before... birth control is bad for your body anyway, just have safe sex."

For Birth Control "I haven't even been on this for a month, and I'm already looking into something different. My head is always hurting, I'm nauseous, tired, and my anxiety has been off the charts. And I've been insanely emotional. The only good thing is that I'm not pregnant, but the symptoms are similar to pregnancy, so it still makes me think I'm pregnant."

For Birth Control "I have been on birth control on and off for the last 17 years. This is by far the worst one yet. The only positive thing I can say about it is I didn’t get pregnant. However, I felt like I was. I have been on Junel FE for years with no trouble. My pharmacy was out of it and assured me Larin FE was the same exact thing. I beg to differ. By day 5, I was so nauseous and felt horrible. I was ready to fall into bed by 7:30, utterly exhausted, which was not normal for me. The nausea was horrendous. I actually lost 5 lbs in 12 days because I couldn’t really eat. My anxiety went through the roof, which hasn’t happened in a very long time. To the point, I had a horrible panic attack in the middle of the night, which hadn’t been normal for me in a while. Don’t even get me started on the headache. Whew. I stopped taking it because my doctor called my script in somewhere else, and within 36 hours, I was back to my normal self. I would avoid Larin at all costs."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Larin 1.5/30 for maybe two and a half months. At first, I didn’t notice any real side effects, but eventually, they all started to creep in. It started with my breasts becoming swollen and tender to the touch, and they’ve been uncomfortably tender for about two straight months now. My appetite has decreased dramatically, and some days I barely eat at all. I feel like I’ve definitely lost some weight due to that, and I’m terrified of it getting worse because I’m trying to actually gain some weight right now. I randomly get headaches and some small cramps, but nothing too bad. I would say the worst part about all of this is the anxiety and mood swings I’ve had. I already have anxiety, but since taking this birth control, it’s gotten much worse. I will say, though, it is HIGHLY effective at preventing pregnancy."

For Birth Control "I'm 24 and took this BC, Larin Fe 1/20, for 3 months. I can see the negatives. In the first month, I was experiencing random light bleeding directly after taking the pill, definite mood changes (much more irritable), and chest pain. The second month, I noticed that my acne was getting worse (I do have acne-prone skin). I was hoping birth control would help my breakouts but instead gave me worse acne on my cheeks and chin (I never got acne on my chin badly before). My side effects in the third month are what made me decide to switch BC pills. I noticed that my hair was definitely falling out more than usual. I have thick hair as it is, but noticed in the shower my hands were literally covered in hair on wash days, which I have never experienced prior to this BC. I'm actually scared to wash my hair, seeing how much falls out. My last week on the pill, I also experienced intense headaches out of nowhere. The pros to Larin Fe 1/20 are that my periods are super light and short and that I am not pregnant."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this pill for almost 5 months. The first three months, I had spotting between periods. I think it may just take a few months to regulate. It does indicate that these are common side effects for the first few months. Now my periods seem more regular, just very light, which I don’t mind. I haven’t experienced any weight gain. In fact, I’ve lost just a little weight. My skin looks better than usual. I don’t experience cramps nearly as badly as before. I don’t experience any nausea or headaches. I don’t notice any feeling of depression or fatigue. I do feel a little more anxious than usual. Not sure if it’s the result of the pill, or just life stressors. All in all, though, this pill works fine for me."

For Birth Control "Larin FE 1/20 doesn’t work like it should. I’ve been on it for 7 months, and I’ve just started missing periods. I’m also having a lot of symptoms of pregnancy that I haven’t been having until now. I also took every single pill and haven’t missed any days. The only side effects I had were headaches, and I guess my appetite."

For Birth Control "This is my first time EVER on birth control. I started using them because, obviously, I was sexually active, but I had taken 5 Plan B’s within 3 months! I know it’s bad, so I started taking birth control for that reason and also because I don’t want a baby anytime soon. I have been on it for exactly 2 weeks and 1 day. The side effects I’ve had are mainly my breast! They have grown! They hurt, some days it’s not that bad, but other days I can’t even touch them! My nipples have been sensitive as well. Another side effect is headaches! I go to sleep with one and wake up with one, but not all the time, when I do, they are very painful! I’ve noticed that I’m very tired, I want to sleep like all the time. But overall, nothing too harsh. I thought my body would take it badly, but it’s doing pretty good! Everyone is different, so try it for yourself! Also, my sex drive increased."

For Birth Control "I had no major issues with Larin. This was my first ever birth control. Given the limited reviews when I started this about 7 months ago, I was freaking out. Let me start with the bad. The first 3 days of taking the first pack, I had the most severe headaches, maybe migraines, of my life. I never get headaches, and like clockwork around 3 pm, the headaches would come. Took the pill at 9 am ritually. Crazy enough, after the first three days, it went away. As for my periods, they are so sporadic - and generally come in between the start of my third pill back to my fourth. So annoying. Since I’ve started this, it has never regulated. One month I didn’t get my period at all. My cramps are also bad. I like to prepare myself, and again, it depends on the month. No breast tenderness, and swelling is minimal; no noticeable weight gain, although I did go up a cup size; no acne, etc."

For Birth Control "I’m about to switch from this to something else. I’ve been extremely depressed. I’m an outgoing person. Never been too lazy. But since I’ve started this pill, I’ve been not wanting to do anything but sleep, and I’ve been really depressed. I’ve also gained a lot of weight. I was 128 lb, then within the two months and a half I’ve been taking the pill, I’ve gained 15 pounds. Not happy about that at all. I’m also very sensitive and get upset really easily. I’ve never really been like that before the pill. Headaches are another problem. It seems like I always have a headache. This is my experience with the pill. I honestly don’t recommend it."

For Birth Control "I had really bad menstrual cramps around my uterus, ovaries, and colon. Larin Fe helped my cramps, eased some of my acne (I only get acne on my period), got rid of my body aches, headaches, breast tenderness, and shortened my period length."

For Birth Control "I had been on birth control before and was prescribed Larin Fe through an online service. It immediately caused headaches that did not subside. During my second month taking it, I bled a lot while taking the active pills. It was not spotting, more blood than a normal period. Needless to say, this medication had no benefits. I was taking it strictly because I wanted to skip my period."

For Birth Control "My first month on Larin Fe 1/20 was no problems. The second month, the breast pain and horrible fatigue and headaches out of nowhere started. Then the uncontrollable bleeding for daily heavy periods daily. I was weak, could not function. It is not letting up, I got a doctor's appointment on Monday. I stopped taking this pill yesterday. This pill is the worst thing ever. My doctor and I will be having a serious talk. This will be the end of me if I keep on taking it. I never had any problems with my Ortho Novum pill ever. He claimed it made my blood pressure high. Sprintec was awful for me and Junel too. So, no, I refuse to be their guinea pig any longer."

For Birth Control "Horrible headaches, nausea, and stomach pain. Sharp stomach pain off and on all day. Not the same as Microgestin. I didn’t have these side effects with Microgestin."

For Birth Control "Larin Fe 1/20 has been kind of good so far. I was recently switched to this brand from my other brand, Junel Fe 1/20. On this new brand, Larin, I have had horrible headaches and random cramps throughout the month. I did have a pregnancy scare because I had some symptoms of pregnancy due to the switch of brands, but it turns out that Larin did do its job at preventing pregnancy. My periods are much lighter, and I don’t have much cramping when I get them. Overall, Larin is great! Just gotta let your body get used to it after a few packs!"
