For Birth Control "I stopped taking this pill two months ago due to the nightmare that was my life while on this pill. I got switched from Gildess to this one simply because my doctor's office didn't carry it anymore. Within the seven months that I was on this pill, I was nauseous from the time that I woke up to the time that I went to bed. In fact, at least once a week, I would actually get sick from being so nauseous. In addition, I ended up gaining 25 pounds...and I've never had weight issues with any birth control I've taken prior. This weight gain is extremely embarrassing to the point where I've had worsened depression. The only good thing I can say about this pill is that it does regulate your periods, to where mine only lasted about a day. Very light."

For Birth Control "I’m about to switch from this to something else. I’ve been extremely depressed. I’m an outgoing person. Never been too lazy. But since I’ve started this pill, I’ve been not wanting to do anything but sleep, and I’ve been really depressed. I’ve also gained a lot of weight. I was 128 lb, then within the two months and a half I’ve been taking the pill, I’ve gained 15 pounds. Not happy about that at all. I’m also very sensitive and get upset really easily. I’ve never really been like that before the pill. Headaches are another problem. It seems like I always have a headache. This is my experience with the pill. I honestly don’t recommend it."

For Birth Control "Please read the reviews and listen to them! This pill is terrible. I've been on birth control for years now and was recently switched to this one because Medicaid didn't cover my Junel. I've been taking this for 2 months now, and I've missed my period completely for both months - I always used to get a light period before this one. I've also experienced more depression/anxiety, including crying a lot for seemingly no reason, nausea, and stomach cramping! The first month, I broke out in acne too. Please avoid this one if you can, I cannot wait to get back on Junel."

For Birth Control "I'm having migraines constantly, been spotting even when I'm continuously taking the pill to not have a period, my body hurts, and I don't have the strength to do anything most of the time. I'm depressed more than usual, and I have a mental illness since birth, which has gotten worse. I can't function properly, and I have a high phobia of blood and needles. This pill has been nothing but hell on earth to my body. I want off it ASAP. It is no thanks to me being switched to this pill by moving to a new state. Now my doctor wants me to see a psychiatrist, which is not needed - I don't need any more bad pills in my life, and this is one of them. Time to switch fast."

For Birth Control "I started taking Larin Fe 1/20 after my insurance stopped covering Lo Loestrin (which I LOVED). Let me tell you this pill is GREAT at preventing pregnancies, but I am not sure if the side effects are worth it. I am now on my fourth pack of Larin Fe, and I am the moodiest, most raging woman you will ever meet. I really do not recommend starting this pill. My mood swings are insane, I feel depressed most days, any little thing that goes wrong makes me feel very irritable, and I usually end up crying. Also, I am very good at taking my pills daily, so I do not know the reason as to why my period is SO heavy and SO painful. I have been getting my period for 8-10 days every month, which is absolutely ridiculous considering I would have it for 3-4 days on Lo Loestrin. I am too scared to get the arm implant, so I am going to continue taking these pills, but I am considering just stopping birth control altogether as I do not feel like myself since starting Larin."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control on March 8th on the first day of my period and had unprotected sex 7 days after and then two days after that, both on my most fertile days. Hoping it works as it should. I keep having pregnancy symptoms such as painful nausea and bloating. I’m tired all the time and have no motivation whatsoever. I have been diagnosed with depression last year and I HIGHLY recommend not to take this pill if you suffer with mental health issues!! This pill made me more suicidal than I have been in a long time, and my mood swings were horrendous. Hopefully, I’m not pregnant! But I would not recommend it to those with mental health issues. It did help my acne a bit though, I will admit that."

For Birth Control "This pill made me absolutely crazy. I'm a generally happy, outgoing person, and Larin made me super depressed, and I never wanted to leave my bedroom. I can't remember a day that went by that I didn't sob uncontrollably for absolutely no reason. I stopped taking it, needless to say. It did regulate my periods and controlled acne, but other than that, my life sucked. Depends on the person, though."

For Birth Control "Worst pill ever, please do not take and please listen to these reviews. Started out great then started with very sharp pains, was on bed rest and almost rushed to the ER.... no sign of my period but I sure feel it coming because of the pain, bloating, cramps, acid reflux, sickness, PMS, mood swings, anger, and depression which WON'T STOP. Save yourself the trouble and don’t take!!!!"

For Birth Control "I had a very negative experience with this birth control. I only took it for one month and had to switch brands. It made me have the worst anxiety and depression of my life to the point where I couldn’t leave my bed. It also gave me terrible breakouts. Everyone’s body reacts differently, but I wouldn’t recommend this birth control to anyone."

For Birth Control "DON'T TAKE LARIN FE. Within 2 weeks, I was a mess with the emotional stability of a 13-year-old. I was miserable; depressed, irritable, impulsive. I was tired all the time and had no motivation to do anything at all, even simple tasks or things I typically enjoy. I cried constantly for no reason (I am not a crier). I felt nauseous and had to take my weight in antacids. I started this pill to regulate my incredibly painful period... I would take those awful periods over this any day. I know it takes a while for your body to adjust, and I have been off the pill for quite some time, so maybe it was just a bit of a shock to my system. But no thanks."

For Birth Control "Immediately after starting this medicine, I began gaining weight, causing self-esteem issues. I also notice a big increase in my anxiety and depression, having very dark thoughts, and almost feeling like I was in a constant state of panic. I would often cry and feel sadness for no reason, which caused me to feel extremely tired and irritable. I stopped liking things I usually loved. Don’t recommend for people that suffer with mental health."

For Birth Control "This was my very first time taking birth control. The pill was very easy to take. I did not have physical symptoms stated in the reviews except for sore breasts occasionally. One thing I absolutely did not like about this pill was the mood swings. This would have been the perfect pill if it didn’t affect my mood. I have fallen into near-deep anxiety and depression halfway through the second month. My boyfriend and my friends even noticed it. I wouldn’t recommend this pill to anyone who was previously depressed. I have attempted suicide on this pill, just grateful my boyfriend was there that day."

"I used this for 5 months for my horrible periods. I hated it. I had my period for 3 months, and just when I thought it was getting better, I was getting my period every two weeks. It was the worst. I was so depressed from this pill, it was insane. I gained 15 pounds, and that, along with this pill, gave me very low self-esteem. Also, my contact lenses became painful. Needless to say, this pill isn’t for everyone. Take your chances, but don’t make the same mistake as I did. Switch to another pill if you can if the pain and adverse side effects stick around for too long."

For Birth Control "Absolutely horrible. This pill gave me extreme mental issues. I started my first pack of pills in November 2017, I’m now at the end of my second pack in February 2018. My first month of pills was fine. From November to February, I was recently put on Prozac because I had depression. I have mild anxiety, but this pill made it beyond worse. I have had days where I panic about absolutely nothing. Please listen to the reviews."
