"This birth control is awesome as far as its effectiveness with preventing unplanned pregnancy and increasing your bra cup size! The only drawback I would say is that the pill had me bleeding constantly. It wasn't light spot bleeding but full cycle bleeding maybe 80% of the time for the first 2 months on the pill. Other than the bleeding, the pill is great with no other side effects."

"I've read a lot of reviews on this birth control, and everyone writes negative reviews, so I'm going to give a positive one. I used to get very heavy 10-day periods before I went on this pill, and I am now down to light to moderate 4-day periods, and let me tell you, what a relief. I also used to get cramps so bad that sometimes I couldn't walk. Three months on this pill, and the cramps had gone. I was 23 with horrible acne. I had it everywhere: cheeks, forehead, but especially on my chin. Three months after starting the pill, and my skin cleared up tremendously. I hardly ever get a pimple, but when I do, it's usually a small one around the time of my period. I gained no weight, and my sex drive is as high as ever. I love this pill!"

"My ob/gyn started me on this medicine after I started having my period every 2 weeks. I've been taking it for about 3 months now and have had the lightest and least painful periods of my life. They last about 2-3 days tops. But it does still carry some of the side effects, that is why I dropped other birth control pills (in the past). I get very 'moody' leading up to the few days before my inactive pills, and my boobs get HUGE! As far as weight gain, I haven't experienced any yet. But I consider myself pretty active, working out 3-4 times a week, and my weight hasn't moved since I started taking this medicine, hopefully, this will change. Overall, coming from having very heavy, extremely painful, and frequent periods, Junel has made my life much better."

"I was on Gianvi before, which gave me horrible mood swings, I put on weight, and I had my period every day. I was then switched to Gildess Fe, and I love it. My weight went down, and it's easy for me to lose weight. I don't really have junk cravings, and I don't get my period. The first month of taking this medicine, I spotted every day, but by the second pack, all my spotting was gone. Definitely would recommend this medicine."

"I started taking this pill 3 months ago for abnormal bleeding, clots, thick endometrial wall, not ovulating. Ever since I had my little girl (now 1 1/2), I have been constantly bleeding. We tried progesterone, D&C, neither of which helped me whatsoever. I reluctantly finally tried birth control (which has always made things worse). Loestrin 24 FE has done wonders for me. My periods finally got back to 7 days a week. No big blood clots. Acne went away. Best of all, the weight that just kept inching on in the past 1 1/2 just started melting off within the first 3 weeks of taking this miracle pill. I have lost over 10 pounds in the last 3 months and have not done a thing. (I gave up trying to lose anything 7 months ago when I was trying)."

"So I started this pill and was excited but had to stop right in the middle of the pack. I mean, out of nowhere, there is a burst of bleeding. I went to the bathroom and it's like my period snuck up on me and it was almost 2 weeks before my period is due. There were lots of clots and brown, yucky stuff. On top of all that, my moods were really crazy. I would be lying in my bed and would feel like crying and then be okay the next moment. I have only been off now for two days 'cause I just couldn't take the crazy mood swings and the bleeding anymore. I also noticed a great deal of fatigue, and even that has changed after just 2 days off of Loestrin. It's not worth it, and I cannot wait for it to be out of my system."

"The first month was okay, but this is my second month of use, and I started bleeding (moderately) in the second week of the pill pack! No fair! I should be in the 'no bleeding zone' right now! I am less than thrilled. I feel gross, bloated, and have cramping and low back pain. I am only on the pill to keep regular, to avoid anemia, but this month it's doing just the opposite! I don't know if I should stay on it and give it more time, or go to something else. Ugh!"

"DO NOT go near this pill... gave it a few months to kick in per my gyno, and I have no idea how she prescribed this horrible medication. I took it to regulate my period, and now instead of one, I get two a month every two weeks or actually whenever it feels like coming. It has made me EXTREMELY emotional, sad, and easily angered by things that are normally nothing. I also got crazy hungry more than the typical PMS'ing days before. I can't stress enough to stay away from this."

"I was given Ovcon 4 years ago because of abnormal, irregular bleeding. I decided to try this before a hysterectomy. I had no other problems and was near menopause age. I did not want to have surgery when everything was healthy. It worked great for me with little or no side effects. I am now 52 and got through this because of Ovcon without the surgery."

"I tried this medication based on recommendations from my doctor. First, read ALL the information about the pill before taking it. My doctor prescribed this to me knowing I suffer from severe migraines (it was in my medical history and discussed). It says in the description NOT to take this if you suffer from migraines. So aside from that, here is what this pill has done to me: extreme and heavy bleeding for 14 days now (and it's showing no signs of stopping), body soreness, breast soreness, increased headaches, extreme eye pain, extreme fatigue, extreme mood swings, loss of appetite and weight, heavy cramping, chest pains, difficulty breathing, and loss of libido."

"This is my first month on Loestrin. I was prescribed this medication for uterine fibroids and cysts. Before, my bleeding was nonstop for months. The first day I started this pill, my bleeding stopped. I have had no spotting at all so far. I have, however, had terrible mood swings, anxiety, and I feel like I may be depressed."

"I have been on this pill for 2 weeks. I took the 2nd day (pill) 15 minutes late, but since then I've had my period. So I've had my period for 2 weeks straight now. Plus, I get cramps and am moody all the time."

"For the past 5 months, I have been having severe periods with extremely heavy bleeding to the point where I had to wear a pad and a tampon, and I would bleed through both in a matter of hours (overnight pad and regular strength tampon). So I went to my OB/GYN. Turns out I have a big fibroid tumor, ovarian cyst, and most likely endometriosis, which would explain why I had really bad cramps for a long time. She put me on Loestrin, and I'm literally on the fourth pill, and it has slowed down my bleeding so much. I did bleed through a little, but I was only wearing a pad because I have surgery next week, and I'm not allowed to use tampons before it. So I know this is a pretty early review, but I'm really happy so far. No cramps at all."

"This is my 4th month on Loestrin 24 to control 'flooding' and premenopause symptoms. I feel like I have my life back! The first month I had a fairly heavy period, but not flooding. The second month was very light, the 3rd was just a little spotting. This month is fairly light. I can't believe I put up with the flooding for years! I was getting hormonal migraines several times a month, and since I've been on the pill, I've gotten them only under heavy stress or during the non-estrogen pill days. I also had several other premenopause symptoms (like brain fog, irritability) that have mostly disappeared in the last few months. I don't seem to have any negative side effects. No weight gain or mood problems that I didn't have before."

"This is my 5th month on this pill (in my 40s, prescribed for abnormally heavy menstrual bleeding). I keep getting my period while on the blue pills and then AGAIN when I start the white. Period is lighter, but getting it twice a month seems like an unfair price. Kept sticking with it because I like that it is low dose, but I'm just not sure it's right for me. Will probably call my doctor Monday. Was so hopeful this could help me. Also... moderate menstrual cramps experienced on this pill. I haven't had those in years."

"I have been on Loestrin 24 Fe for four months now. It was prescribed to me after I finished breastfeeding. For the most part, I liked the pill until I started having my period twice a month, and it lasts for a week. On top of that, I get very, very irritable right before they start. I occasionally get dizzy spells."

"I've been on Loestrin 24 Fe for a little more than a year, and it has been a wonderful experience for me. I have fibroids, and my cycles would be very heavy and would last at least 7-10 days. Now my cycle lasts 4 days, and I'm a little heavy the first two days. This pill has changed my cycle for the better, and I would recommend it to anyone experiencing a very heavy and lengthy cycle."

"I am a 25-year-old woman who has been on and off birth control for the last nine years. Being on various pills so long had killed my libido to the point that I forgot what it felt like to be aroused, and I recently began to bleed constantly between periods. I went to the gynecologist, and he put me on Loestrin 24 Fe. I, of course, went home and researched it. The reviews I saw made me wary, but I started the regimen on Sunday, as directed. Granted, I did get sick (read: threw up) the second day, but after that, I had no problems whatsoever. And you know what? I stopped spotting, and best of all, my libido skyrocketed. I'm at the end of my first month of pills, so we'll see how it goes next month, but for now I couldn't be happier."

"I started Loestrin 24 Fe about two weeks ago, and ever since I have had random spotting at least once a day. It took away my cramps and pains from my period, but my period won't go away now. After I finish this pack, I'll see what happens and if I should switch or not."

"I've only been on Loestrin 24 Fe for a month now. The side effects I have been having are cramping. I also started spotting, and the cramps became a bit worse, where I had to literally curl in a ball because it hurt so bad, and I got a period that is just all clotting. I'm not sure if that's normal, but maybe my body is just getting used to it. I notice a little increase in my breast size, which is a plus for me. I will continue to take Loestrin with hopes that the cramping clears up and the clotting of my period, because it worries me. Has anyone else had these issues? I sure hope my body becomes used to it and all my symptoms go away."

"I had fibroids and ovarian cysts, and the doctor said the only way to prevent painful periods was to go on the pill. I was horrified. I had been on the pill for 10 years previously and 3 years clean. In those 3 years, I finally felt free. Junel seemed okay at first, no side effects. But now I am on my 10th month and slowly figuring out that maybe this has to do with my 10 lb weight gain since I started taking it. I cry easily and am way sensitive. Not sure if it's the pill or weight gain, but I have absolutely no sex drive."

"I love this birth control pill. Before birth control pills, I would have horrible periods. Heavy bleeding, painful cramps, period would last for months, vomiting, etc. On this, I had only a 4-day period! Light bleeding and the cramps were better but still hurt. I would definitely recommend this for women to try."

"I started this birth control about a month ago after bleeding non-stop for four months (have PCOS), and it stopped my bleeding immediately. However, in about the second week, I began having mild cramps and spotting brown. I missed the last pill of my third week and took it the next morning - and bam, there was the heavy bleeding again. The bleeding and clotting are awful. If the bleeding doesn't stop after I start my new pack, I think I'm going to switch. As for other side effects, none!"

"I've been on Loestrin 24 for a month now. My doctor prescribed it because I have had long periods in the past and other symptoms of low estrogen. I am also on Celexa to help stabilize the terrible depression and anxiety I get with my menstrual cycle. I started the pill on the first day of my period, and my period stopped for two days, and then I spotted for a week and a half before having a full period that lasted 8 days. Then I was without spotting or a period for a week before I made it to the brown pills. On the first day of the brown pills, my period started again. So, I've pretty much been bleeding all month. I had terrible cramps for 4 days on the pill while I was having a full period. I usually don't get bad cramps."

"I started taking the pill at the end of October, I am now on my third week of Loestrin. At first, I had minor cramps and breast tenderness, which I ignored. Slowly, the pill started giving me worse side effects. I gained weight, have major cramps, and have been on my period for two weeks. My normal period lasts 3-4 days. I am not even on the placebo pills yet. I also have major mood swings."
