For Birth Control "Absolutely terrible! No one in my family has a history of cystic acne, and when I started taking this, I got cystic acne really bad! I didn’t even know this was the cause of it until I went off of it 6 months later, and now my face is totally clear except for all of the scarring it caused! I went to the dermatologist and tried many meds to get rid of the acne, but it was from this life-ruining birth control! I was so depressed and self-conscious because of the acne this caused! Do not use this."

For Birth Control "I used Sronyx for about 3 months. I really liked it at first. My appetite decreased, which caused me to lose weight. I did notice a few pimples here and there, but nothing too bad. Then, about 4 weeks in, I began to bleed nonstop. It was heavy like a period. I called my doctor, and we doubled my dosage for a week, which helped, but only for a bit. Then the bleeding came back. I started losing a lot of blood, I was extremely dehydrated and tired. My boyfriend and I were still having to use condoms when we would have sex, ironically. Towards the end, I began to notice that I was very depressed and sad for no reason. I just wanted to cry and stay in bed. I was losing weight because I was hardly eating, and everything was making me nauseous, but I also had no energy to work out or do the things I loved, like hiking and jogging. I was really disappointed because the pill worked fine for the first few weeks, but it really made my body react so ugly, and the hormones were starting to cause depression."

For Birth Control "When I was 15, I had a different birth control pill that I was put on. And it did nothing at all... Fast forward to 20, I started taking this birth control medicine, along with my thyroid medicine, and noticed a tremendous difference in everything. I could never get a period every month on my own, and this has helped significantly. However, because that is helping me, I do notice that I've had more mood swing issues and depression. I also see people reporting about knee pain, which I can also confess that I have too! I haven't gained much weight from this medicine. Rather, I've been able to maintain. People are saying that they get light periods, mine are still more on the medium side/heavy. But that could also be from not having them after some time. And those who say that this didn't work, I highly recommend switching to some other form instead because not all of them will work for you."

For Birth Control "7/10 so far. I have been on it for 2 months, going on three. Not much weight change, I was very skinny before, so if I do gain a little here and there, I’m not mad. Regular periods, no cramps, don’t really have any extra acne than I already had. I will say my mood swings have gone crazy, 2-3 days before I’m supposed to get my period, I’m extremely depressed and anxious! That is my only complaint so far."

For Birth Control "This was the second birth control I tried. The first made me very moody and irritable, so I switched to Sronyx, and it was great. I had absolutely no side effects. I've been on it for 3.5-4 years now, and I'm starting to notice some changes. I've been getting bad acne (I've never had acne in my life, maybe a spot a month). I'm not sure if this is due to my increasing age (22)/lifestyle habits or the BC. Also, I have gotten so moody, irritable, grumpy, anxious, and depressed (again, I don't know if I can say the pill caused this, but it slowly crept up on me, and I can't figure out another reason for it). I'm not sure if it was a long-term thing effect or what, but it's making my relationship with my boyfriend of 3 years suffer."

For Birth Control "I’ve taken this birth control on and off since I was 14 to regulate my periods, and once I got older/married, I stuck to this birth control until we were ready to have children. This birth control never caused me any problems throughout this time, and I was very happy with it. Last week, I was prescribed Sronyx to regulate my periods. Since having my second baby last November, my periods have been off. So, I figured, hey, why not? Since I have my tubes tied, now I obviously don’t need birth control, but thought it would help with my periods as it did in the past with no problems. Boy, was I wrong! My mood became low, and I instantly recognized it as depression. On the 8th day of taking it (yesterday), I decided it was not worth it, and I’m coming off. Another symptom I’m dealing with for the last two mornings is anxiety and jitteriness that’s also making me very nauseous. I guess after having my last baby, my body is different now and can’t handle this birth control anymore."

"I started taking this pill on the first day of my period to help with PMDD. So far, it’s been 14 days and my period has not stopped, my normal period lasts 3-4 days. I was prescribed this to help regulate my mood due to my PMDD. So far, I still feel very anxious and depressed. My symptoms from PMDD still remain. I began to break out, but I have had no nausea or breast tenderness and no headache, but insomnia started presenting itself. I haven’t had a good night's sleep since I started the pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is an update to my review from early June. I've been on Sronyx for about 2 months now (actually for HRT). The first 2 weeks were fine and then the fatigue, mood swings, and depression hit hard. I feel like I'm finally coming out of it, but be warned that it can be a tough adjustment for the first month or so."

For Birth Control "I was on this pill for two months. Both months I started my period in week 3. Also, I have been moody and almost depressed, tired, and my mind is just foggy. Time for a switch."

For Birth Control "I've been in this for only 10 days, and it is now in the trashcan. I became increasingly depressed each day, and my vision has worsened."

For Birth Control "My experience with this pill was good at first, but after the second month, it made me really moody and depressed. I also noticed my sexual desire decrease. I'm definitely switching soon."
