For Birth Control "I've taken this for over a year, and I love it! My boobs have grown, and I've stayed my moderate weight. Mood swings? Eh, not really. We all get emotional on our periods. Birth control is not 100% effective, but this thing works! I was with my boyfriend for 6 months of the year. We never used a condom, and he came in me. Never got pregnant. The best thing is this helps so much with my periods. Less cramping. Before, I'd be nauseous to the point I'd sometimes throw up, stay up hours in so much abdominal pain. This makes periods tolerable. I recommend it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Chateal birth control pills for 3 weeks now, and I've experienced constipation, fatigue, nausea, and really bad mood swings. But I guess my body is just getting used to it because it's my first time trying birth control pills ever. Provided by Planned Parenthood."

For Birth Control "I am starting it tomorrow, and I am really growing increasingly nervous by every review I read. I know that every body is different, but some symptoms freak me out. I have never had any health problems or sensitivities whatsoever, I don't get nauseous easily, so I guess those won't apply to me. I hope it will be worth it. Btw, as friendly advice, try not to read up everything the internet says because you can't know for sure how your body will react to the drug, so the only way to surely find out is by simply trying it."

For Birth Control "DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS MEDICATION! I've been on this for two weeks, and it's been two weeks of HELL! My anxiety is through the roof, I'm overly emotional and cry all the time. (No suicidal thoughts though.) This pill will make you feel like you have food poisoning or the stomach flu or something. I have headaches, dizziness, an indigestion/heartburn-type feeling -- I just have this bizarre feeling near my upper stomach/diaphragm, I can't even describe it. I'm constantly gassy, whether it's through burping or passing gas, stomach cramps and pain, back pain down in and near my pelvis, pain in my lower right abdomen. No appetite. The side effects are worse when I'm at work, which makes it very hard to stay at work. Wicked nausea!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking this for about 6 or 7 months now, and I don't think I will continue after I finish this pack. At first, I would get very, very nauseous at night before bed, making it a little difficult to fall asleep. My emotions are all over the place. I am super sensitive to everything, very easily irritated, and, oh my god, I cry so much. I cry A LOT. I mean, I cry during commercials, those Facebook videos about good Samaritans or sick kids, during movies, or if someone says anything even just slightly mean to me. Sometimes, I cry for no reason at all. In fact, I'm crying right now as I'm writing this, and have been crying for the past 3 hours, and I can't pinpoint exactly why. On the bright side, I am not pregnant, so it does do its job."

For Birth Control "After taking Orthotricyclen off and on for 5 years, I was switched to Chateal, and I couldn't be happier. I've struggled with weight my whole life, and I would get on and off Ortho because it caused me to gain extreme weight, and I was really unhappy about it, but I knew I needed birth control, so the doctor at Planned Parenthood suggested Chateal. I've been on it for almost a year, and I haven't had a single pound of weight gain (I've been losing actually, but that's because of diet and exercise, but it's important that the pill isn't interfering). I also have pretty acne-prone skin growing up, but I hardly get any breakouts now on this medication (not sure if it's the pill or getting older). I don't feel any nausea other people experienced either."

For Birth Control "I just started this about 2 months ago. I got it from Planned Parenthood after my abortion. They assured me I would not get pregnant on this pill after the first 7 days. I had a little nausea, and I do have fatigue, but my acne has been getting better. However, I just spent the last 5 weeks thinking I was pregnant due to changes in my breasts: veiny, areola enlargement, and literally they feel like two saggy water balloons instead of more firm like normal! This confused me as I've only had this happen to my breasts when I was pregnant! It's not going away, and I am worried. I keep testing, but my test says I'm not pregnant. I really don't like how they feel or look, and I'm not sure what to do about it. If I didn't have that, I'd be happy!"

For Birth Control "I got this birth control in February (now it's April), and I have noticed this pill has had a few side effects. One being I'm always tired and get tired out really easily, which is annoying because I'm always sleeping when I want to be with friends, another is nausea. I will feel sick occasionally and have headaches, and the last is being SUPER emotional. I will cry for no reason, and I believe it has made me a little depressed. I'm hoping this will all blow over, if not, I'm getting a new pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for almost a year now. I have yet to get pregnant, so it's doing its job. Although, this pill comes with many downfalls to not getting pregnant. Every single month after my period, I receive extreme uncontrollable nausea. It wakes me up every night for the first week, and I feel forced to make myself throw up. After a year, I'm finally considering getting a new birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for a month and a half since Planned Parenthood switched me from Reclipsen. I've never had any side effects from my pills that I've used, I started with Diane when I was 18 because I had severe acne, and it went away with the pills like two weeks after I started! So happy I did that. After that, they switched me to Jasmine, which was fine, then Reclipsen, which was fine, and then Chateal. I've had two side effects with this pill so far: nausea and headaches. It hasn't been that bad, though, and I hope they go away. I feel like if you have a lot of side effects with pills, you will have them with all pills, and you should choose another method. This is the birth control that is for me but not for everyone!"

For Birth Control "Sooo, I took Chateal early 2019. The first month was okay, I thought I found a BC that worked for me! Sikeee!! The second month, I started having really, really bad anxiety, severe nausea, headaches, really bad thoughts (suicidal), smh! I had to stop mid-pack because the symptoms were horrid! Now, to the previous day, my fiancé and I want to have a little blessing, and it’s really hard because it’s been six months of trying and no luck, sadly! My periods are very irregular now, and it’s hard to track ovulation! I just hope I’m able to conceive soon!! Fingers crossed."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication shortly after my abortion (sadly). Normally in the past, I don't have major side effects of birth control, but Chateal birth control I did. First off, this birth control gives you the same exact symptoms of pregnancy: back aches, acne, nausea, fatigue, etc. I have been on this birth control for about 3 weeks now, and I had to QUIT. Please do not take this birth control. I have HORRIBLE nausea that lasts me all throughout the day, it is horrible. Also, my back aches are really bad as well. I had to take a pregnancy test. The acne I got from this was horrifying. Usually, I have pretty nice skin, and I RARELY get acne, but this made me break out on my whole face :( All together, this is not worth taking, I would DEFINITELY use condoms over this. Also, this medication causes me SEVERE anxiety as well and headaches! Please do not take this medication."

For Birth Control "I have been using this pill for almost a year now. At first, yes, I felt a little nauseous, but not over the top sick. It does the job (not getting pregnant). I’ve used patches, Mirena IUD, implants, and other pills. I definitely think this is a great pill for teenagers and adults. The only downfall for me is I don’t have much of a sex drive anymore. The good thing is no weight gain and no crazy breakouts. So it’s definitely worth a try. I’d recommend this pill for anyone."

For Birth Control "I am 18, and this is the first birth control I have ever been on. I have really heavy and painful periods, so I decided to give it a try. It has been almost 3 weeks since I've taken it, and I've had an awful experience. A lot of nausea, headaches, really painful cramps last 30 seconds or so, but the worst has been my mental state. I wake up sometimes and feel almost numb, no energy, and sometimes I sit there with blank thoughts, but other times I just cry. I actually cry a lot, everything upsets me. My appetite has gone down, and I'm feeling like this just isn't worth it anymore."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for 5 months before deciding to get off of it a week ago. For birth control and unwanted pregnancy, it definitely does the job. The first couple of weeks, I felt nauseous almost every day and just all around sick. One time, I felt so overwhelmed and burst into tears at work for no real reason. After week 3, those feelings went away, and I didn't have those problems anymore. However, I feel as if it suppressed my metabolism, and I gained about 15 pounds. And tired. All I wanted to do was sleep all day, and if I let myself, I slept for hours. The biggest issue I had, though, is my sex drive went completely away. I didn't care if I had sex or not, which created a big problem with my boyfriend."

For Birth Control "It kept me from getting pregnant, but gave me horrible cramps, even in between periods. My mood was out of control. I had extreme anger and depression, I've never felt so crazy in my life. Mild headaches, but they were daily. Lost my sex drive and got a yeast infection like immediately. Couldn't eat anything, which may sound like a dream come true, but it was really unhealthy. Forcing myself to eat made me nauseous. Also had vaginal dryness, felt really dehydrated, and was constipated. Definitely not the right pill for me. Good luck, ladies, I hope you have a better experience on this. * Take it at the same time every day or you'll get nauseous!"

For Birth Control "Although I have to give Chateal credit for doing its job by stopping an unwanted pregnancy, I put on 25 pounds in 4 months. I'd like to also mention I have a fairly low metabolism for the majority of my life. I constantly craved sweets. It made me nauseous every day at random, horrible mood swings, and crying spells the first month. It also increased my cup size and got rid of acne on my back, but the other side effects were too horrific for me. I am now discontinuing the pill and going back to the patch."

For Birth Control "I've always had extremely heavy, long periods. My depression and anxiety would flare up the week prior, and I would be exhausted the two days leading up to the starting of it every month. I tried a few other birth controls in the past but either had suicidal thoughts or got pregnant. I opted for Chateal through an online service because, well, frankly, anything was better than what my body went through naturally. I've been on Chateal for over a year now. My depressive episodes are much farther apart and come on much slower. My bleeding lightened up over time from several super plus to maybe one regular and panty liners. No nausea as others reported, and I take mine in the AM with food."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost a year, and I've never had any issue except mild nausea before my period. My periods used to be very heavy and last two weeks, and the PMS would take a serious toll on me. On this, my periods are lighter and last 4-5 days. My PMS is significantly lessened. I still get teary-eyed pretty easily before my period, but now I'm not a raging PMS machine."

For Birth Control "I was initially prescribed Chateal in August of 2016 and began experiencing intense mood swings after several months’ use. I am a very emotionally stable person normally, so after journaling the effects and doing some research, I decided that this was not normal and stopped taking it. I felt better right away. After starting a new relationship, I started taking Chateal again in October of 2017, hoping that this time it would be different... it wasn’t. About two months in, I began feeling depressed and experiencing deep-in-the-pit-of-my-stomach anxiety. I would go from a happy mood to a depressed mood and back again in the matter of minutes, even waking up in the middle of the night with anxiety. I experienced terrible insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. After reading reviews, I am happy to know that I am not as crazy as I feel and that other people have dealt with the same things, so hopefully this review can help someone else!"

For Birth Control "I gave these pills a fair shot. After the first few months, I really started to notice extreme mood swings and an overall change in my mood. I was always angry, sad, and unhappy. Especially the week before my period, I was just plain psychotic. My cramps got worse on this pill too, they would start up to a week before my period. My periods got longer but also lighter. I gained 30 pounds in a year, and my acne got worse after about 6 months. The acne cleared up the first few months, though. I also would get nausea and headaches. My sex drive was just fine, no change. Vaginal dryness, yes. It did work, though, never had a single pregnancy scare. I just couldn't handle the mood changes, and neither could my relationship."

For Birth Control "I've only been taking this birth control for about 4 days, which, yes, I know is little, but I don't think I can stand another day! I feel nauseous on it and threw up a few times, and I slept until 1:30 pm today (so I had about 13 hours of sleep, if not more, and I would've kept sleeping if my brother didn't wake me up). I still feel exhausted and can barely walk around without wanting to sit. Hopefully, you won't get this experience, but I really don't think I can continue on this pill, waiting it out is not worth it for me."

For Birth Control "I always had really severe period pain, and I would throw up. So, I started a birth control, and it made me feel horrible. I no longer threw up, but it made me severely depressed. I was afraid to try another pill. I started Chateal, and I didn't gain any weight. I didn't get depressed or break out any more than normal. And I no longer felt pain. I do still get slight nausea around my period, but nowhere near as bad as before. I have taken this pill a little more than a year, and I have not gotten pregnant either. Although I use other precautions as well. My sister is looking for a good birth control, and this is the one I've been recommending."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I was put on Chateal 5 months ago because I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism. I had bleeding for 28 weeks prior, so they wanted to stop it. It didn't regulate me at all. I've experienced period cramping, which I've never had before. I've lost weight and my sex drive. I've had nausea, dizziness, frequent migraines, blood in stool. But worst of all, stomach cramps and extreme pain in the abdomen area. If I stop taking the pills, the bleeding will continue, and I won't be able to get the tests I need to find out what is wrong. All in all, I'm going back on Friday to get more tests and a biopsy. If this birth control gives you extreme side effects or doesn't regulate your period, contact your doctor right away."

For Birth Control "Before I started it, I was mortified of it based on all these terrible reviews. Within 2-3 weeks, women were complaining about hair falling out, suicidal thoughts, nausea, mood swings, heavy bleeding, and so forth. I'm going on 7 weeks and haven't had not one of those symptoms, with a slight exception of the nausea. I get nauseous probably once every few days. The sensation lasts for about a minute and it's gone. I can't even pinpoint that the BC is the culprit. My experience with Chateal has been a breeze so far, and I hope it stays that way. So don't let these negative reviews steer you the wrong way. Everyone is different, and it clearly works great for many, not all, but many. Most importantly, I'm not pregnant!!!!"
