For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been going through full-blown menopause for 8 years, plus I was in peri-menopause for 3 years prior to that. I have not taken hormone replacement therapy up to this point. However, after my skin, hair, and nails got even drier, no sex drive, and not being able to have intercourse with my husband for about 3 years because the pain was too unbearable, I decided to try HRT. My doctor put me on the CombiPatch. At first, I did not have any side effects, but I have had constant bleeding for the last 2 weeks with mild cramping and bloating. I found myself barely being able to hold my eyes open around 4 pm every day and was having to sleep. This was my first month being on it, and I have one patch left. At the end of the 7th patch, I took it off and did not put my last patch on. It has been 3 days now with no patch, and I am still bleeding, cramping, and bloating. This has been horrible. I will deal with the hot flashes. I have dealt with them for 11 years...better than HRT."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I've been on this patch for a short period of time, however, I can say it works fast! On the 2nd day using this product, my flashes and night sweats were less severe! I did experience nervousness on the 1st day, it lasted just a few hours, then went away. So far, so good."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I'm 51 years old, in perimenopause, and having terrible night sweats, heart palpitations, vaginal dryness, and anxiety. Was using vaginal estrogen cream with micronized progesterone for certain days each month. That helped with vaginal dryness, but not insomnia caused by night sweats. I just started the 0.5/0.14 patch. It instantly gave me the worst acid reflux, and I take a PPI daily. I mean the worst. I have a hiatal hernia, so GERD is a huge problem. Estrogen just may be off-limits for me since it relaxes the esophagus. I'm going to try to stick it out for a month to see if it gets better. The patch came off the first day, so I bought waterproof Nexcare medical tape to put over it. I hope this patch works for me. The palpitations are scary, and my anger/anxiety is even scarier for people who have to deal with me!!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This patch has been a game changer! For 20 plus years, I've had awful night sweats to where my sheets were drenched wet. Every doctor told me I just had to deal with it. I was always hot, sweaty, and so much more. Until the doctor I have now prescribed the CombiPatch! All of the awful symptoms were gone. But now, my insurance is giving me a hassle and I can't afford it anymore. It's been 2 months and now the awful symptoms are returning. My last hope is to ask the pharmacy if they accept the coupon. I sure hope they do. If you can afford this medicine, you will be so amazed!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been on and off CombiPatch (due to working out of the United States) for the past 10 years, and it wasn't available. I just resumed taking it and have been experiencing cramping and vaginal bleeding on and off for the past two months. My doctor and I are taking a conservative approach and are waiting a period of time for my body to adjust before we take any further action. I am comfortable with this for the time being. Next step if the bleeding doesn't stop would be to order an ultrasound of my uterus."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "Works great for me. No more hot flashes! Vaginal prolapse is less bothersome! Some minor spotting weeks 3-5, but not enough to use a liner or pad. The adhesive sticks fine and does not cause me skin irritation. I am 3 years post-menopausal and wish I had started CombiPatch sooner!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I was postmenopausal and dying with night sweats and continual hot flashes. I felt horrible and had for some time. I finally asked my doctor for help, and he recommended CombiPatch. It worked wonderfully. I have used it for years, and my doctor said I may have to use it for the rest of my life. The problem right now is this: it is backordered from the manufacturer, and I am now back into full-blown menopause. Oh, my. I am wondering what is wrong and if it will ever be available again. The price may be making it not an option for many. I am going to ask for a replacement even though I loved this medication."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been using this product for years, and I hate to go without it. I sleep well, no hot flashes, mood is reasonably stable, no vaginal dryness. At one point when I was without it while waiting for my script to fill, I knew how much it was helping me. All good, and it is easy to use. Unfortunately, it is expensive and not always in stock. My current medication insurance does not cover the whole price, but it will be helpful once I hit my deductible. In the meantime, it is pricey. There are no good coupons that I have been able to find."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I used CombiPatch for 5 months. After only two weeks of use, I experienced almost complete relief from my severe, frequent hot flashes and insomnia. I did not have any problems with adhesion. Unfortunately, I developed sensitivity to the adhesive and had to discontinue use."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "My symptoms were slight, including flashes at night and some insomnia. Vaginal dryness was another concern. The patch has really helped. It's been almost a year since I started the patch. Early on, I had some spotting, but that has stopped. I am having some puffiness in the application area."

For Atrophic Vaginitis "I have been on the patch for 4 months after trying to use estrogen cream, which did not work and made the burning and pain worse. I did not want to try anything else in my vaginal area, so I suggested the patch to my doctor. I like that it is transdermal and does not go directly through my liver. I am on the higher progestin dose, but am now experiencing spotting. I had a uterine biopsy that was negative, but still am spotting. My OBGYN is considering changing my HRT, but I have had success with this patch. Burning and pain that I experienced every day were gone in just 1 week. I used a vaginal moisturizer for a week or so to help speed up the process. I no longer use a vaginal moisturizer. The hot flashes I had are gone, and I can sleep all night without waking up, no more night sweats. It's convenient, but the patch leaves a sticky residue you have to scrub off, but well worth the benefits. My insurance did cover this at a $75.00 co-pay, but the coupon online brought it down to $25.00."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "My menopausal symptoms do not include hot flashes, only some night sweats. But my taking this medicine is to sleep better. I was not sleeping, only 2 hours then 3 hours. I did not want to take sleeping pills forever. Also, I am gaining weight. These are the pros and cons of the patch for me."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I am very disappointed with this product. After using 5 patches, I developed a cyst on my right ovary and had to spend out of pocket for the ultrasound and vaginal camera test, as my insurance would not pay. I started to hemorrhage very badly for about 4 hours and had severe cramping for weeks on end. I could not work in my office. Upon going to see an OBGYN, he said most likely this product caused this cyst, as I was not using any other product at the time. I would highly recommend you NOT use this product. I wrote them a letter and asked for my out of pocket expenses, including the repayment of the product, and I got NO RESPONSE. This is very unprofessional of them and just not ethically right. When this kind of negative side effect comes up, the pharmaceutical company needs to step up to the plate and be held responsible and do the right thing by responding to my request. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "To anonymous, CombiPatch is expensive when paying out-of-pocket. Check with your insurance. As for effectiveness, it really works for hot flashes and night sweats. I've been using it for the last three years."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I was getting about 6 hot flashes per day and night sweats about 3 times per night to the point I was averaging 5 hours of sleep. CombiPatch fixed that, but at a price. I have an itchy rash at the placement site and gained 6 lbs within the first month on it. Not to mention it's $220/month out of pocket after insurance (and I have good health insurance), and there's no generic. I tried 2 weeks of cutting the patch in half, which didn't change the effectiveness, but the rash and weight persist. I wanted desperately to like it, but I'm hoping to switch to something else."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "This is in response to Loops. Yes, I am having something very similar. I went on this patch early October of this year to treat severe hot flashes, as I am 51 years old. Last period was in August of 2017. On November 4 of this year, 2021, I woke up in the middle of the night to blood, as in a full-blown menstrual cycle. A few days prior, I had some light pink spotting, but that was it. I will be seeing my doctor on the 16th to run some tests. She will check for various things; I'm very worried that this may be cancer. I keep hearing that when you bleed after menopause, that's not a good sign. I've also read that this patch can cause bleeding, or it could be something like a reactivated fibroid. I've always had very heavy periods and don't miss those. Though the CombiPatch has helped me out for the most part, I'm not sure if it's worth having a return of monthly cycles. At my age, I really don't want to be dealing with periods anymore. I haven't been on this for even a month."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I truly believe the CombiPatch caused my breast cancer. I started on the patch in 2018 and was diagnosed in 2021. Just make sure your OB-GYN knows how to check your hormone levels! It’s not worth the risk!"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I’m 48, have been using CombiPatch for almost a year now. Last period was July 2018. I had been suffering with progressively worse night sweats and daytime hot flashes to the point where it was affecting my quality of life. It was a few weeks before I noticed fewer hot flashes, and after a month or so, I no longer had any. I did have spotting and about 4-5 periods within the first six months of using it (brownish red in color, not red like pre-menopause). I went in for regular check-ups with my doctor while this was happening and had a transvaginal ultrasound as a precaution, and everything checked out. I did gain some belly weight and have some hair thinning, but this could have been normal menopause that caused it vs. the patch. I’ve always been healthy, eat well, and exercise regularly. I would highly recommend it. It did not do much for the painful menopause sex, but together with Vagifem inserts, it’s been a lifesaver. Coupon online that makes it $25/month with my insurance."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have been in menopause for 10 years. I was very fatigued and was having hot flashes and overall anxiety. I use Neutrogena makeup remover to get the sticky residue off. The only issue I have noticed is hair thinning and hair coming out more frequently than before. I might do as some on here have suggested and cut the patches smaller and wean myself off this. I have not noticed weight gain yet."

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "I have used this drug for 13 years. The generic version made by Noven now uses a COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE adhesive, making the use of their patch impossible as it does not adhere. There is no difference in my skin, I do not use lotions near the application. This is another example of shoddy technology. I will take my business elsewhere."

"I started CombiPatch about 4 months ago. There was an adjustment period where I was very bloated and constipated. After that passed, I felt my mood stabilize and I’m sleeping like a baby. I also have less joint pain. One concern I have - and my doctor is confused as well (and yet not concerned) - is that I haven’t had a period since I started. This is very unusual for me. My periods had started coming slightly earlier over the past year, but I was never late, nor had I ever missed one aside from pregnancy. Has anyone else had this happen and should I be concerned?"

For Postmenopausal Symptoms "The only drawback to this medication is that it burns my skin and leaves an ugly outline of the patch. After two days, my skin starts to burn, causing blisters. I do get breakthrough bleeding, my doctor says it’s normal. Minus the skin burns, my hot flashes and fatigue have significantly improved!"
