Empagliflozin "I started this medication in August 2019. This medicine works! My A1C went from 11 down to 7.7 with really no changes in anything I did. It was going smoothly for the first couple of months, then in late October I got a UTI and took antibiotics. It went away about 3 days after the antibiotics, but it was back, so back on antibiotics I went for ten days. I got rid of it, and guess what, about a week later, here it came again. The pain when I peed was so bad, my urine was like acid, it burned what it touched. I'm so tired of having these UTIs, they are horrible. So today, I decided to go off this medication. I would recommend this medication if you don't have any of the side effects. But if you experience the side effects, please stop taking it, it may do more damage than people know. I think sometimes the cure is worse than the disease."

Empagliflozin "My doctor gave me a sample of this to help with weight loss. I have plateaued after losing over 30 pounds on my own, and he thought this would give me a little kickstart again. I took one pill (10 mg) in the morning, and by the afternoon, I felt nauseous and ended up vomiting twice in the next few hours. It was horrible, and I felt awful all night. I'm not going to take this med. I should've trusted my instinct when I read all the horrible reviews and debated before starting. I'll figure out another way to get past my plateau, but that sample went into the trash."

Empagliflozin "I have a low ejection fraction HFpEF and was started on Entresto 7 months ago. I had excruciating gastrointestinal pain for 4 straight days. I stopped taking the drug. Medication was changed to Jardiance 10 mg daily dose, which I take in conjunction with Enalapril (2X daily). I was warned about the side effects... mainly urinary tract infections, which I have not so far experienced. However, there is some dizziness, frequent urination, and pre-menstrual muscle cramps in the feet and lower legs. There have also been weight loss during the first 6 months (approx 10 lbs) due to a combination of Jardiance, Enalapril, and a low sodium and potassium diet. Unfortunately, I've started to regain some of the weight back. My latest EKG (6-month) test results show significant improvement in my EF. All things considered, and allowing for the listed side effects (tolerable), I'm pleased with the positive news. Current results are primarily due to Jardiance and a healthier diet."

Empagliflozin "I recently had been diagnosed with elevated blood fasting sugar levels, so my cardiologist prescribed low-dose Jardiance (10 mg) for me to protect my heart and kidneys, as I have CAD (coronary artery disease) and hereditary diabetes. He explained that Jardiance will make me pee out sugar and sugar produced from excess calories that I ingest. He warned me to be conscious of my feminine hygiene and to make sure that the intimate area is clean and devoid of residual urine every time I urinate, as this can cause UTIs and skin irritations. So I am washing with clean water and sometimes soap and water to prevent any infections, I also carry a pocket bidet in my bag. I have not had any problems with Jardiance. I will be taking my first FBS and HbA1c test in two months."

Empagliflozin "Hmm! I started taking Jardiance in June 2017, and I have not felt the same again. These days, I am experiencing pain in my bones and muscles, especially the muscles in my feet. I can barely walk with the pain in my feet. I get numbness and a burning sensation in my feet. I am stopping Jardiance today and using diet to control my blood sugar. What a medicine!"

Empagliflozin "I was switched from Steglatro to Jardiance 6 months back, and I feel like my energy level is back like how it was before diabetes. I have lost about 3 kgs of weight, and my thyroid function, heart function, and renal function are showing functioning just fine. It's a small tablet, taken once daily, so I don't feel any pressure with taking the medication itself."

"I have been on this drug for a few years and have lost about 14 lbs in this time. It worked very well at first and kept my sugar levels down. But it made me tired, and my legs ached. My feet have become swollen and tingly, so I have now stopped taking this. This side effect does not seem to be listed on anything I have read, but I have seen it mentioned in some of the comments on here."

Empagliflozin "I have been taking Jardiance for a year now. I have noticed over the past 6 months that my bones started hurting. I ignored it and never thought that this medication was the problem, but in the last two months, the pain is severe and I can barely walk."
