For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "Before Yaz, I was very moody, almost bipolar, and my periods were very heavy and painful. After Yaz, I am myself again, and my periods are light and regular. I love the feeling of being in control of my body, and Yaz has helped me feel that. It's my miracle."

For Acne "Had to comment after reading the negative reviews on here! I was on Microgynon 30 for 6 years before switching to Yasmin because of acne developing on my face. I've just finished my first month, and honestly, I'm finding it really positive! I only felt nauseous for the first day, and after that, all I have to say is positive! My sex drive has absolutely gone through the roof, the boobs are increasing in size (I'm a 32A), no weight gain, and my moods in general are so much better! The only reason I am marking this down is because I'm still waiting for more improvement to my skin, but that can take up to 6 months, so I wasn't expecting miracles after 1 month. Girls, I would ABSOLUTELY stress, take these reviews with a pinch of salt - I am in a group of 6 girls, and we must have gone through at least 12 pills in total before we all found ones that suited each of us, and like a previous reviewer has said, how many people actually bother to comment with a positive review?"

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I have been on Yaz for 6 months for PMDD. I knew the risks, but my PMDD was unbearable, so I thought nothing of it, and it helped so much with my symptoms. Anyway, the last few days I was getting chest pains, and my calves were throbbing. I didn’t think much of it until this morning when my right leg turned a purplish-red color. I called 999, and they took me to the hospital. I’m still in the hospital right now because they have found a blood clot. The doctor told me it was because of Yaz. I’m absolutely petrified. I have 4 children at home, and I’m not sure what will happen. Please, ladies, please think carefully before taking this pill. I know PMDD is devastating, but a blood clot is just not worth it. God bless you all."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I developed premenstrual dysphoric disorder after having my first child and it was unbearable. Two weeks out of every month I would be terribly swollen and bloated, hungry, craving weird things, suffered from insomnia, had headaches and felt tired, and just really sick in general. I was also totally crazy and my moods would go up and down really dramatically. I just finished my first pack of Yaz and it has been AMAZING. Within the first month, ALL of my symptoms have gone away and I feel great. I have even lost some weight. I had a slight headache and nausea the first 2 or 3 days I was on the pill, but other than that, nothing at all. I was afraid to take it because of all the negative reviews, but everyone is different. Worked great for me and has changed my life."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for 1 year. My experience was very good - overall - my PMDD was almost nonexistent. I would barely bloat or feel my period coming. I had no period pain or cramps (which were really bad) and although I've never suffered from acne, my skin was flawless! However, without any sort of diet change or continuing to be very active (5 days a week), I gained around 25 lbs while on this pill. I really liked how good I was feeling emotionally, but the weight gain was making me miserable, so I decided to stop. I have been off the pill for about 7-8 months now and I can safely say I have returned to my usual weight. However, while on the pill, my breasts grew from an A cup (nothing) to a full C cup and they have decided not to go anywhere. I know everyone's experience is different, but I've been on other hormonal birth control before and none have caused me to gain weight like this pill. I also experienced hair thinning, but I've noticed that has reversed back to normal now. Hope this helps any of you!"

For Menstrual Disorders "This is the ONLY birth control pill that has ever worked well with my system. No weight gain, no hair loss, no mood swings, in fact, my periods used to be so irregular that I'd have terrible PMS, and now I'm only cranky pants for a day or so. It helped clear my skin, regulate my cycle, helped me maintain my weight, and I just love it."

For Birth Control "Switched to Loryna to help with acne and didn’t notice a change at first, but it gave me severe anxiety, and I felt hopeless and depressed every day, even to the point of having suicidal thoughts. I thought I was going crazy because of how fuzzy and out of it I felt. Didn’t feel like myself at all, had no appetite, GI issues, and heart palpitations. It is not worth it for a little less acne. I've only been off it a couple of weeks, and I feel SO much better."

For Acne "I’m a bit taken aback from multiple negative feedbacks this BCP (birth control pill) is receiving. I had issues with my previous BCP, especially with acne and depression, so my doctor decided to switch me to Nikki. I love this birth control. I would get nausea for the first month; however, the following months were great! My skin cleared up, my sadness and sensitivity decreased, my weight stayed consistent, and my sex drive did not change. My period would last for 4 days max with light bleeding. A bonus: it also helped me with my ovarian cyst. I no longer feel pain in my abdomen, and it kept the cyst at bay. Although, do keep in mind our bodies react to pills differently. I hope this pill will give you the same benefits it did for me."

For Acne "I've been using Yaz as a form of birth control but also for my moderate, persistent acne (tried everything in 5 years). I would say the first 3 months were terrible. My acne has never been worse, so be prepared. But now, I'm 7 months into it and my skin is the clearest it has been in years. I still have pimples, but they are really small and go away in a day, and it could also be because I'm eating really bad at the moment. The only negative thing is it has made me a bit more anxious and prone to crying. Even if my gynecologist says it's impossible, I've noticed that I'm way more sensitive than before. Even little things make me cry. But anyway, I suggest you try it if you don't want babies and acne. Just be patient, I know it can be tough the first months, but it's worth it! I also haven't noticed a gain in weight, and I guess it's because it is a low dosage pill. Good luck!"

For Birth Control "This birth control, Nikki, has saved my life. Before I started taking it, I had severe anxiety. For over a year before, it was hard for me to go anywhere and live my life. Every time I was out, I would have an extreme panic attack and I would start to feel like I was lightheaded and about to pass out. I was so nervous to start this birth control because I’ve had bad side effects from others (moodiness, constant nausea). I didn’t know birth control could help with anxiety, but the first two days I started taking it, I could see a HUGE difference. I tried to stop taking it for the few period days, and my anxiety returned, so I’ve decided to skip my period days and continue taking it. I’m almost finished with my second pack and haven’t seen improvement in acne, and I do have sore breasts, but no other side effects. I’m sure this will improve with time. This birth control has saved my life and made me feel normal again! I recommend it for anyone suffering with extreme anxiety."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I started taking Yaz 6 months ago for Premenstrual tension syndrome. I think my PMS would last 2 weeks: lots of bloating, lots of acne, and lots of moodiness and crying. Yaz has been life-changing for me. No more PMS, very little breakouts. No more gaining/losing 10 lbs every month. I have lost 20 lbs to date just because I don't have weird cravings, my energy level is back to normal, and I am 5 lbs from ideal BMI. I feel GREAT! I love Yaz and am so thankful to my doctor."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I got Yaz for my period cramps, and also I was getting acne, which I have never had. Works well for both, no bad side effects so far. This is month 3. Boobs went from humble B's to DD's. I lost a lot of weight and was contemplating a boob job, but not anymore. They filled up and then some. Very tender but FULL. Only giving it a 9 because of the breast tenderness."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I've been on Yaz for 7 months now, and I am extremely happy with it. I was always a ravenous, aching, emotional mess before my period. It was hard for me to function when I was in uni since I could skip classes and lie in bed and cry. I couldn't do that when I started working, though. Yaz now makes me a functional human being every day of the month, and even gave me clear skin and an increase in appetite as add-on rewards! The adjustment period was shitty for me because I breakthrough bled my way through my first three months on Yaz, had really bad mood swings that came without notice, and then had a two-week long period. After that period, though, my body has accepted Yaz as its own, and my life is stellar!"

For Birth Control "I’m really happy with this birth control now. The first 2-3 weeks were rough. The side effects made it difficult to get through the day, as I felt sick and could barely move. It may have been a bit better if I’d taken it with food; I do now and have no side effects. As for acne, since that was important to me - it’s all cleared up! I’m really happy that I’m not getting big, painful under-the-skin zits on my chin anymore. It gets 5 stars just for that. If you’re considering this pill, I recommend it. Just make sure you take it with food!"

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I'm just simply amazed, and I hope this continues to work. I've only taken 2 doses of Yaz, and I went from constantly struggling with physical and emotional symptoms of PMDD and overall hormonal imbalancement to feeling much more at peace with myself. I feel light, and my body feels calm. I had anxiety, anger, I was hypersensitive and so negative - I felt it physically. I would physically shake from anger. I could feel my uterus contract and cramp up when I got hurt and was angry. My PMDD had started early just 3 days ago when my breasts just felt so heavy with cysts that were so painful - it hurt to just get out of bed. I could sleep all day. I was cranky and could not stand being touched by my BF. Constipation and lots of gas as well."

For Birth Control "I started Yasmin 3 months into my happy, healthy relationship. I was never a jealous, insecure person, and I had hardly even experienced severe anxiety before. The first 4 months of this pill, my skin cleared up, I was happy with how it made my body look, and it didn’t affect my mood at all. Another 3 months on, and it was the worst experience of my life. I’ve never felt so low, depressed, insecure, I thought my boyfriend was constantly cheating on me or didn’t love me. I took it out on him, and it really damaged my relationship for a while!! I lost contact with my friends and only ever wanted to be in bed, away from everyone. I felt like I was watching my life go by in a routine I couldn’t get out of. I felt constantly bored and sad and cried constantly!! The worst thing is I never even clocked that it was the pill, so I was convinced I was going crazy!! I came off the pill, and even though I’m better than I was... I haven’t felt the same since. AVOID THIS PILL!!"

For Birth Control "I was on Yaz for about 6 months. A couple of weeks ago, I was finding it hard to breathe and having chest pains. To my complete surprise, doctors found I had multiple blood clots in both my lungs blocking almost my entire airway and admitted me into the hospital straight away. I am a healthy 23-year-old, and doctors said they have never seen a PE (pulmonary embolism) as bad as mine. Tests came back confirming that the clots were caused by my Yaz pill. They told me that had I waited a couple more days, I could have dropped down dead without any warning. Very scary to know the pill can cause this much damage to the body. I don't know how they are still producing and selling this pill. After my near-death experience, I will NEVER recommend this pill."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "Yasmin (brand name only) has been a miracle drug for me. I have PCOS, and when I'm not on it, I gain weight, have severe acne on my back and chest, grow excess hair on my body, lose hair on my head, and I'm super lethargic. When I'm on Yasmin, all of these symptoms go away. I will go on it again as soon as I can!"

For Birth Control "I remember reading all kinds of mixed reviews before starting this pill and was kind of worried. I have taken many brands of birth control pills in the past, but I always experienced spotting, and I was fed up. My doctor put me on Yaz, and it changed my entire life… for the worst. Although the spotting and the physical side effects went away, the negative change it had on my mood and my personality was awful. I suffered from anxiety and depression my entire life, but it was always manageable. After starting the pill, I experienced SEVERE anxiety and depression. My mood was always bad, I was always upset and anxious, I would have random outbursts over absolutely nothing. I was an emotional wreck, and I couldn’t control myself at all. I’ve been off of it for 6 days now, and I’m back to my normal self again."

For Acne "Gosh, I feel sorry for myself - tried everything, except (Ro)-accutane. Many thousands were spent without any success, and many years went by just trying to hide this bad skin. The irony is that I have acne on my body and less on my face. Yep, and excessive hair is just the icing on the cake! I have hormonal imbalances, thus, I knew that nothing topical would help for good. Nevertheless, I was afraid to try birth control pills. Anyway, Yaz was invented quite recently. So, girls and women, if you have hormonal problems, Yaz is the best thing around. I can put whatever on my skin now (like night cream), and my skin is perfect. No clogged pores, no inflammation, nothing. I can go outside without skin makeup, which was an impossible thing just two years ago."

For Acne "I was on this medication for 3 years, and I love it. It was the first birth control I tried. I haven’t had any negative symptoms. I had gone on Loryna because of my cystic acne and for the cysts in my ovaries. I didn’t experience any nausea or weight gain. I actually lost weight on it. I used to have panic attacks almost every day, and those stopped too. I’ve recommended 3 of my friends on this birth control, and they have the same experience as me. It completely cleared my acne (it was my last thing to try before I went on Accutane), and I don’t regret it."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I got diagnosed with PMDD when I was 16, and I was put on Yaz the day my symptoms started to occur (ovulation), and it worked almost immediately. I haven’t had an issue since with pregnancy or PMDD. This medication does make me slightly nauseous, and since taking it, my appetite has changed a lot, and some foods I once loved now repulse me, but it’s manageable and way better than dealing with PMDD."

For Acne "I have tried everything from Proactiv to Skin I.D. to Murad, and nothing has worked for my acne until I got on Yaz. However, don't be discouraged because it does take a couple of weeks to months for your body to adjust to the hormones, and essentially your skin may worsen. I was on the pill for about a year and literally never had to worry about a breakout. I got off for about 8 months and just started back on it a week ago because my skin started to get really bad again. My face is the worst I've ever seen it right now, but I know sticking with it will be worth it. It is so hard dealing with acne, and there are nights when I just cry to my mom because I don't even want to show my face in public. But trust me, Yaz is worth the wait, so stick it out."

For Birth Control "My doctor recommended this birth control to regulate my period. I was on this for about 3 months, I gained 10+ pounds from this birth control and cried nearly every day about the smallest things. I was so emotional and depressed. I have taken about 5 other birth controls in the past, and they have never given me any side effects like this. I strongly do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Yaz for almost 10 months now, and it has been the best pill I have ever been on. I am taking it for hormone replacement as well as acne issues. During the first month of taking the pill, my skin went through a horrible purge, which lasted about three weeks. After that was over, my skin began to improve daily. I rarely get breakouts now (occasionally a single pimple), my hair is so thick and healthy, and my sleeping has improved immensely. I have found my moods have been really stable whilst on this pill and have had zero issues with spotting. I have lost about 12 kg since I commenced this pill, and that was during lockdown and with minimal additional exercise. I highly recommend this pill if you need to regulate your hormones and want to improve your skin, hair, and lose some weight in the process!"
