For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for about three years now with a brief time on Amethia. I LOVE Reclipsen. I started taking it when I was 15. I have never experienced any negative side effects. The only things I have experienced are my breasts getting a little larger, a MUCH lighter and shorter period, and improved acne. I will stick to this birth control probably until I decide to have kids and after. Highly recommend this for young girls."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Reclipsen for 3 months (just finished my third package). I was on Yaz for one year, then Lutera, and now am on Reclipsen. Out of the 3, Reclipsen is hands down my favorite. I stopped taking Yaz after reading scary reviews online and hearing negative reviews from other women I know. The side effects I experienced were noticeable. I experienced a lot of spotting between periods, and if I forgot to take the pill at the exact same time every day, my period started right away--sometimes just hours later! Lutera made my fairly clear skin break out and made me EXTREMELY moody and often depressed. The main side effect I have noticed with Reclipsen is breast growth. At least a cup size this last month! (no complaints)."

For Birth Control "I have been taking the pill for about 5 months, and I've noticed a few things. PROS: I haven't gotten pregnant!! My periods are 4 days on the dot, and I don't have any acne or cramping. CONS: I've always cried easily, but now I cry at least once a day, if not more. I am irritable and can get extremely angry very easily, and I used to be a very easygoing person. My period doesn't start until my 3rd or 4th placebo pill. I get nauseated in cars if I am not the driver. I crave weird food that I never usually eat, and I'm exhausted all the time."

For Birth Control "I have been using this BC for years and really like it. No pregnancy or side effects. I briefly tried a different generic, and it gave me side effects, though Reclipsen doesn't. I agree with the comments that everyone's body is different -- even my sister uses a different brand than I do. Find what is right for you!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Reclipsen for a little over four years. From the beginning, I never really had any issues with this birth control. I gained 5-7 lbs within the first few months (not a big deal to me) and had some irregular spotting. Since then, the only side effects were breast tenderness (around my menstrual cycle) and some moodiness during my period. What girl doesn't get moody during that time? Overall, I haven't had any other side effects. I will continue with Reclipsen until otherwise."

For Birth Control "This is the second month I have been on Reclipsen, I had to change from the pill I took before due to breakthrough issues. I have noticed that I have very bad headaches after taking the medication. I had severe migraines last week during my period week, even though my period didn't start until a day after the migraine. I have never had such intense side effects from taking birth control, but I don't know why else I would have such headaches. I'm starting to feel like there is no birth control out there for me. I wish there was birth control for men instead!"

For Birth Control "I was using a smaller dose of birth control before Reclipsen and started to spot after two months. I switched to Reclipsen, and it has regulated my periods very well (even up to the right hour each time). I have been using it for 6 months now. I am mostly responsible for taking the pill every day on time. I noticed some weight gain but could also be due to other factors. My weight has been consistent after the initial weight gain (no new diets or different exercises). In the beginning, I noticed episodes of mood swings, but have been managing them pretty well."

For Birth Control "Reduced my libido to absolutely nothing, daily migraines, cystic acne, cramps became worse, I had no emotions, hair loss/lifeless hair, and I gained 8 pounds within one month of starting this birth control. I just stopped taking this medication, and hopefully my body will be able to get back to normal. I have taken other birth control medications in the past, and none of them affected me like this one, so just beware of Reclipsen."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for a month. I started it to see if it would decrease my flow and cramps. My mood dropped drastically when I first started. Depression usually lasts for a period of time, so I wasn't depressed. However, my mood was very low to the point that it was scary. When my period came, it felt like the worst ever. My flow and cramps were bad. I have other side effects as well, such as nausea and headaches. I'm going to see if my body adjusts to it for two more months only because I need a solution for my periods. I've been on birth control in the past, and I've never had these side effects."

For Birth Control "I took Reclipsen for around 10 years with no issues. My doctor said I could ride this out until age 50 as I didn't have any risk factors (except age as I was over 40). Out of the blue, I got a groin-to-knee DVT, and the cause was this stupid pill!!!! I am so very lucky it didn't become a PE, and I could have suffered a horrible disability or worse. 7 months later, and I still have long-term effects from the DVT and the damage to my leg caused by it. When I asked my doctor if they would be reporting it as an adverse reaction to the FDA, she said, 'Oh, they already know,' which tells me the side effects (especially the serious ones) are under-reported!!!!! Find another method of BC!!!! This isn't worth it!"

For Birth Control "I've read a lot of the reviews, and I do relate to the shortened 4 days of real bleeding. The remaining 3 days is light spotting, if that. I used to bleed really heavily for almost 7 days and immediately after I started the first placebo. I chose Reclipsen because my last birth control was causing melasma (pigment patches on my face). I don't see that as much with Reclipsen because it's a low-dose pill. Other than that, my period on birth control has always been less painful. I don't know if I can contribute weight gain or migraines to this pill... too many other factors. I think it does what it needs to with no side effects that I know of, and that's all I need from a birth control. So I definitely recommend it."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about a week now, and I've noticed some changes. I've been spotting daily, which is annoying to say the least. I also had a headache for the first couple of days. Something else that hasn't been pleasant is the feeling of bloatedness. All of these symptoms come and go, and they're not unbearable when they are present. One thing that is confusing, however, is I was told that my libido would be decreased with this pill, and it's been the complete opposite. And so far, I have not noticed any weight gain."

For Birth Control "I started taking this due to a hormone imbalance about four months ago. My period the first month was the most painful thing I have ever experienced (more painful than my appendix gluing itself to my internal organs with scar tissue), but my subsequent periods have been mostly painless besides dull cramping. Whenever I go from the placebo week to the actual hormones again, I am excessively nauseous and spend way too much time in the bathroom dry heaving. My appetite for food and sex has been shot, and my weight has remained the same regardless of activity level. I think the worst thing, though, is the crying. Before this pill, I was a pretty even-keeled person. Every week or so, I have a night where I become completely inconsolable."

For Birth Control "I am just now finishing out my first month on this BC, and it's seeming to work very well. I have gained weight in all the right places and haven't had any horrible side effects. With that being said, I have been bleeding since I started taking the pill. I'm hoping that after I take the placebos and start the next pack, the problem will fix itself. I have also been emotional, but nothing that I can't handle. I would most likely recommend this to a friend."

For Birth Control "I was using Reclipsen for 6 months. During the regular checkup at the doctor after those 6 months, she noticed my elevated blood pressure of 150/103, which stayed like that while it was monitored every day for 2 weeks after it was noticed. The doctor told me to discontinue taking the pills. Once I stopped taking the pills, after only one day, the blood pressure dropped to 135/86. I had never had high blood pressure before taking these pills."

For Birth Control "I haven't taken any BC in 5 years since the birth of my daughter. Before that, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, which was great, and I never had any symptoms. My doc recommended Reclipsen since it's the same amount of hormones each day, and the other one I mentioned has different hormone levels each week. I've been on this pill a total of 2 weeks, and I feel nauseous, no appetite, exhausted, stomach cramps, boobs are sore, and weak. I get a weird chest pain sometimes, and my anxiety is crazy high. I also feel so moody. Everything bothers me, and sometimes I feel like I can't breathe. My face has been breaking out more than when I wasn't taking the pill. I AM NOT TAKING THIS PILL ANYMORE! I barely feel bad side effects like this with medications."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for about two years now. It does its job by preventing pregnancy, and I get my periods regularly. I haven't tried skipping my period yet, though. Closer to my period, I get moody, but what girl doesn't? I also crave weird things while on my period. I started to get migraines, I'm not sure if it is because of the birth control, however. I used to get them really bad about a year into taking birth control, but now my migraines are less frequent. Like I said, I'm not sure if it is because of the medication or not. Otherwise, my face is clear, it always has been. I didn't gain any weight, nor did my hair grow. I plan to keep being on Reclipsen, but it can be annoying to take a pill every day."

For Birth Control "I always feel pressure or bloating in my abdomen area, but other than that, I haven't gotten any acne or change in mood. I find it strange that my muscles aren't or won't get as toned. I still have the same workout routine, but I feel I have to work a bit harder to get back to where I was before the pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for about two years now and am switching off of it. I was previously on another birth control that was too low of a dose when I switched over to Reclipsen. Although it has prevented pregnancy, the mood swings and weight gain have been enough for me to finally get rid of it. My periods and cramps were also still seven days and severe."

For Birth Control "I took Reclipsen for 2.5 years. It was wonderful! Only now that I haven't been taking it have I had acne and weight gain. I just refilled my prescription for it! I do a 9-week cycle. 9 weeks of active pills, then a period week and repeat. Wonder, wonderful. Also, it did not decrease my sex drive in any way. Maybe it even boosted it? Works amazingly. No pregnancies and much better periods. Mine were 13-16 days long and so heavy that in the first few days I would often fall back down after standing. With it, they were about a week long and manageable."

For Birth Control "I started taking Reclipsen about a week ago. I have had migraines, mood swings, and I have broken out in hives and gotten rashes several times as well. I will keep being on it for a little while, but I will be calling my doctor because the hives are not normal."

For Birth Control "The first month was absolutely horrible. This is my first birth control pill. The nausea seemed to occur 2 hours after taking the pill (I take it at 3 pm every day). I was also unmotivated and felt like my back ached all the time. Then it got better. I don't get headaches anymore. But looking back, I definitely gained weight, like a lot. I didn't lose my sex drive. Anyway, I'm okay now."

For Birth Control "Horrible. Horrible. Horrible!!! Do NOT take Reclipsen. I'm finishing off my 2nd week, and I've been miserable! My heart rate has been crazy. I've been having panic attacks that I haven't had in a long time. I've had a migraine for 2 days now. Nothing will make it go away. I've basically OD'd on headache medicine. I've felt so dizzy and light-headed. My depression has come back. Screwed up my sleep. Super nauseous. No appetite. Some people say they've gained weight, but I've lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks, NOT the healthy way. I've been so miserable, and it's sooo not worth it!! Save yourself and DO NOT TRY IT!!"

For Birth Control "I was very nauseated, especially in the mornings. More importantly, my long, thick hair began falling out in clumps. I lost about a third of my hair. I was so nervous about it that I called my doctor, and he told me that I was suffering from synchronized hair loss and that can be a side effect of this medication. I have since stopped taking it, and I am not losing as much hair now. My doc said that this drug should be out of my system in two to three weeks."

For Birth Control "Started this years ago due to a cyst that formed on my ovary. Stopped taking it after the cyst got smaller and eventually dissolved. A few years later, I spoke with my doctor about starting back on birth control. He put me on another pill for 3 months, but I hated it. Had mood swings, irregular periods, etc. Told him about what I was experiencing, and he said my body had to adjust. Tried it for 2 more months and still had bad symptoms, so I requested to be put back on Reclipsen. It has worked really well. My periods are regular and no adverse effects. I have now been on this consistently for several years."
