For Birth Control "Not very happy with what this is doing to my body. I was prescribed Reclipsen, and I'm now in my second month, and symptoms have gotten worse. These include: swollen, tender breasts (which I wouldn't mind except for I have fibrocystic breast making even hugging my husband painful), severe fatigue (I thought it might have been the Texas heat, but it's gotten worse even since it has cooled down), super decreased sex drive (I guess that's a good form of birth control), and hard to lose any weight! These symptoms may be magnified since I have a preexisting hormonal problem. Hopefully, I can get on something else soon!"

For Birth Control "Pros: I never became pregnant, I had less frequent and severe cramps, and it may have helped with acne, although I started a new regimen around the same time. Cons: within the first month of starting, I had a yeast infection, and over the next 2 years, I would have some kind of vaginal or bladder infection every other month. My libido decreased dramatically, and in addition to that, I was constantly dry down there. I experienced some dizziness and nausea, which is to be expected. Lastly, I became a huge crybaby when I used to be able to count how many times I cried in a year on one hand."

For Birth Control "I had been on Reclipsen for a year and use it to regulate and skip periods. From the very start, everything was going well. I had better skin, no weight gain, when I skipped, there was no spotting or anything. But I did notice that when I would stand up too fast, I would have a slight and short cramp. And it wasn't until I just tried out a new birth control (Microgestin for 3 weeks) that I noticed how Reclipsen depleted my sex drive completely. I might end up switching back to Reclipsen and try taking B vitamins."

For Birth Control "Worsens depression, fatigue, increased appetite, weight gain, bloating, constant mild fever, headaches, unstable mood swings, decrease in sex drive overall but spikes in demand for sex at certain times (unstable). It did work as a birth control and did not worsen or help with my slight acne. I was on bupropion 300 mg for a few months before I started Reclipsen. It countered the positive effects of bupropion: increased energy, decreased appetite."

For Birth Control "I am not happy with Reclipsen. I have gained a ton of weight in the last 3 months I have been on it. I get super nauseous in the mornings, and I have one extremely bad migraine on the last day of the pills. I changed to Reclipsen because my other BC was giving me headaches. Now I'm fat and have zero sex drive. I am going to stop Reclipsen ASAP."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for 3 weeks. I have been experiencing severe depression, anxiety, and mood swings. My sex drive is very low, and I cry uncontrollably and for no reason. I was on Apri prior to this, and it worked well and made me very even-keel. I will be switching back at my next doctor's visit."

For Birth Control "I take the pill at the same time every day, and it has been effective in preventing pregnancies, however, my sex drive is now non-existent, whereas before I had an extremely high sex drive. I also have vaginal dryness now, which is very annoying. Haven't had any other issues besides that, but it is frustrating to deal with at times."

For Birth Control "I first started using Reclipsen about a year ago. The first thing that I noticed was that my libido was noticeably reduced (which was a bit annoying), and my overall emotions were dulled a bit, so that I was more indifferent to things than before. Although I don't particularly mind this, that might be a breaking point for someone else. I tried Enskyce for a bit and ended up switching back due to side effects. Reclipsen works better for me and keeps my periods light and regular. I've never had an issue with weight gain or acne, so that's something to be considered as well. All in all, I'm happy with it."

For Birth Control "Reduced my libido to absolutely nothing, daily migraines, cystic acne, cramps became worse, I had no emotions, hair loss/lifeless hair, and I gained 8 pounds within one month of starting this birth control. I just stopped taking this medication, and hopefully my body will be able to get back to normal. I have taken other birth control medications in the past, and none of them affected me like this one, so just beware of Reclipsen."

For Birth Control "I've been on this bc for 4 months. Since then, I've experienced nausea every single day. I have no appetite and barely eat anything, but I still haven't lost weight. I have no sex drive (and TMI, but very dry) and I'm a raging bitch most days! I have headaches every single day, 24/7, and I'm tired constantly. My dr told me this bc is good for those with acne, but I have had horrible breakouts that I can't stop! I forgot to take my pill today and just realized that I haven't experienced any of these symptoms at all! I am the type of person who will experience every possible side effect of a medication, though, so do consider that. I still wouldn't recommend it!!"

For Birth Control "I went on Reclipsen due to severe cramping and heavy bleeding during my periods. It solved that problem, but I had no libido whatsoever, and I was very emotionless. I also gained 10 pounds in the 5 months I was on it, and I work out regularly and eat healthy."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for over 3 years now. Pros - still not pregnant, no weight gain. It also clears up any face/back acne so that my skin is flawless, except I do break out a little during the placebo week. Cons - it makes me more prone to feeling depressed/sad for no reason. The biggest con is that it definitely affected my sex drive, though my libido dropped so much that my bf encouraged me to get off Reclipsen, which I did. The difference was noticeable. Problem is, I still don't feel comfortable with only using condoms, so after 3 months off it, I started again. This time I'm going to pay really close attention to side effects and compare it."

For Birth Control "Been on Reclipsen for a few months now. Pros: lighter periods, no stomach cramps, no acne, no babies. Cons: mood swings, terrible back pain during period, lower sex drive, no weight gain (if already active)."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for about a year now. I have definitely noticed a decrease in sex drive, which has caused some issues. Some emotional ups and downs, but I guess that is to be expected. I'm not sure if it is related to the birth control, but I have noticed some weight gain, which has been hard to control. But I have had no breakthrough bleeding, and altogether I have been pretty pleased. I can honestly say it has worked well as a birth control for me, seeing as I haven't gotten pregnant and I have been on the pill for over a year now."

For Birth Control "I was on Reclipsen for at least a year. My periods were always set and wouldn't last a full week, they'd generally last around 3 days with moderate bleeding. I never got any acne really, I would maybe get one pimple a month closer to when I was about to start my period. My mood seemed fine. I never had any spotting. Now that I think about it, I did have a lower sex drive. Overall, I would recommend Reclipsen! I recently switched birth control through no choice of my own, but I'm seriously debating going back to Reclipsen."

For Birth Control "Has been effective at preventing pregnancy. I've decided to stop taking it due to side effects. The first 2 months, my breasts were extremely tender. I experienced some depression symptoms and mood problems in the first month, which I initially thought went away, but I think I just got used to them. Looking back, I've been WAY more emotional at times (cry at least 2-3 times a week now, used to cry 2-3 times a year) and also fairly flat (don't really get excited about anything anymore). My sex drive has been almost non-existent while on Reclipsen. I used to be keen all the time, and now even extensive foreplay can't really get me going, which makes it pretty pointless to even be on it. Periods are short and light, which I will miss."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Reclipsen for almost two years. The first three months, I threw up every morning. To this day, each pill I take, I experience nausea. I hate it. I realize now it's not me, and just the pill. I stopped taking it for a month and felt so much better. Also, I have no sex drive anymore, so I guess it does its 'job.'"

For Birth Control "Reclipsen was recommended to me by my doctor when I was on other previous birth control because the dosage wasn't strong enough. I have been on Reclipsen regularly for about a year now, and my depression and anxiety are through the roof. Everything makes me irritable, and I always want to be left alone. It feels horrible! I was not always this way. Before the pill, I was much more relaxed and enjoyed company! I do not recommend this pill to anyone and will not be taking it anymore. Too much stress and anxiety on my body. I always feel fatigue, exhausted, no energy, or sex drive!"

For Birth Control "I had been off birth control for about a year when I decided I wanted to go back on it. My doctor recommended Reclipsen; she believed it would clear up the little bit of acne that I had on my cheeks and forehead. I took Reclipsen for 4 months in total and it was a nightmare. The first month my breasts were extremely tender. They were tender to the point that it was painful to sleep in various positions and I could hardly exercise due to the pain. By month 2 I started to feel like my whole body was swollen. My face also looked swollen, and my acne actually became much worse! I lost my sex drive and felt miserable. I stopped taking it because I felt like I was becoming a monster! Lutera was much better for me, so I'm back to that!"

For Birth Control "I first started with the NuvaRing and ended up having to get my gallbladder removed. I have been on Reclipsen for 3 years now, and the only pros for me are that I do have much clearer skin and am not pregnant, but I have awful migraines multiple times a month, so bad that I now have a prescription from my neurologist. I also have basically no sex drive, which is driving my boyfriend insane. And I am insanely sensitive and cry almost every day during the placebo week."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Reclipsen for a year. I switched to Reclipsen because my other birth control was giving me spotting during the month. Reclipsen helped that but now I have no sex drive at all, which is really annoying. I get at least one horrific migraine before I start my period, and I'm super emotional. I thought all these things were just me, but after reading the other reviews, I realize that it might be my BC. I never realized it could have these side effects. I'm going to try to switch to another type at my next appointment with my OBGYN."

For Birth Control "For the 3 years I was on it, I had ravenous hunger, low blood sugar crashes, low libido, stress, and anxiety. I had just quit smoking and wasn't used to eating instead of having a cigarette. I started on Ortho Lo. I thought I was just stressed with finishing school, but the moodiness didn't stop, so after a few months, they put me on Reclipsen. The nurse told me it was her favorite one and I wouldn't feel a thing because it was a monophase and wouldn't make my hormones jump around... like they are supposed to naturally a few times per month. Looking back, I just wish I had realized it wasn't 'me handling life so weak and vulnerable.' It was the pill. Hormones cause feelings. Birth control pills have fake hormones!"

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for years now. It's been horrible, but I've felt trapped to stay on it. I do not believe in IUDs and many other forms of birth control, so my primary care doctor felt this low dose would be best. We've never had any unwanted pregnancy, so it's effective in that manner. But here are all the issues I've had with it: mood swings, depression, anxiety, emotional instability overall, low sex drive, vaginal dryness, and migraines. I'll be getting off of it soon with the guidance of a new OB/GYN."
