For Birth Control "The first thing to remember is that everyone's body will react completely differently to different types of birth control. It all depends on your body. I was on Reclipsen for one year. I'm a pretty upbeat and happy person, but literally, as soon as I started taking Reclipsen, I fell into depression. I hated it. I wasn't myself, I was moody, irritable, I lost confidence, and I was really, really sad, which is not like me at all. I also gained a ton of weight, which didn't help with the whole self-confidence thing. The only good thing I have to say about it is that I didn't get pregnant, and my periods were shorter."

For Birth Control "I used to be all organic for 28 years. I started this birth control and now I’ve been on it for almost a year. I gained an insane amount of weight, 15-20 lbs total. I would have a ravenous appetite, be moody and depressed. Crazy amounts of anxiety and overall unhappiness. I would always be so energized, and this made me lazy and sad. I would have really scary thoughts, losing my self-confidence. The worst part of this drug was finding bald spots in my hair. I have thick, healthy, really long hair, and I felt so sad and heartbroken to find bald spots. I was devastated and decided then and there to stop it. I never want to be on birth control again. I am really scared to ever try this again, I will be using condoms instead. I will highly recommend that no one try this drug, it is unhealthy, and the side effects are just traumatizing. I don’t think this type of drug should be approved by the FDA because of the amount of negative side effects it has on women."

For Birth Control "I've used Reclipsen for 10 months now, and I've only had a few problems. I get a little more moody than I used to, but I feel like moodiness is pretty common anyway. My period is a little heavy on the second day but only lasts 4 days. It is GREAT at preventing pregnancy, it cleared up my acne, didn't gain any weight, and my breasts got bigger! I have, however, had a few urinary tract infections over the past couple of months, they are quite painful but not a deal breaker. Also, not sure if they were due to Reclipsen. Overall, a wonderful experience!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for one year exactly, and I mainly went on this for my skin, but I didn't notice anything different with my acne when I was on it compared to when I didn't take birth control. The only thing I can say was that around the time I got my period, my face was the clearest it ever was, and then as soon as my period stopped, I began to break out again. I think with this birth control I did gain weight, probably around 15-20 pounds. It also made me very moody. I never got so upset/mad as easily as I did when I was on this. I felt like an emotional wreck at times because I would get mad so easily, and I hated it. I decided that this birth control, while effective for preventing pregnancies, was not for me."

For Birth Control "I am 42 and have never been on BC for very long. Last attempt, I was on NuvaRing and wound up with a huge clot in my leg after a couple of weeks. The first few weeks were a bit rocky on this one. Felt bloated, a little moody, etc., but I am midway through the second month, and my body has stabilized. I may have had PCOS, definitely had a hormonal imbalance (elevated DHEA-S), and am relieved to no longer have super oily/thinning hair, dark hairs popping up on my chin, and super heavy periods. I was able to get my cycles down to 33 days and more normalized prior to starting, but it is great coming down to 28. Sex drive was good before, but even better. I am a person who does not like pills and is afraid of side effects, but so far the side effects are minimal."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Reclipsen for 3 months (just finished my third package). I was on Yaz for one year, then Lutera, and now am on Reclipsen. Out of the 3, Reclipsen is hands down my favorite. I stopped taking Yaz after reading scary reviews online and hearing negative reviews from other women I know. The side effects I experienced were noticeable. I experienced a lot of spotting between periods, and if I forgot to take the pill at the exact same time every day, my period started right away--sometimes just hours later! Lutera made my fairly clear skin break out and made me EXTREMELY moody and often depressed. The main side effect I have noticed with Reclipsen is breast growth. At least a cup size this last month! (no complaints)."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Reclipsen for a little over four years. From the beginning, I never really had any issues with this birth control. I gained 5-7 lbs within the first few months (not a big deal to me) and had some irregular spotting. Since then, the only side effects were breast tenderness (around my menstrual cycle) and some moodiness during my period. What girl doesn't get moody during that time? Overall, I haven't had any other side effects. I will continue with Reclipsen until otherwise."

For Birth Control "I haven't taken any BC in 5 years since the birth of my daughter. Before that, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen, which was great, and I never had any symptoms. My doc recommended Reclipsen since it's the same amount of hormones each day, and the other one I mentioned has different hormone levels each week. I've been on this pill a total of 2 weeks, and I feel nauseous, no appetite, exhausted, stomach cramps, boobs are sore, and weak. I get a weird chest pain sometimes, and my anxiety is crazy high. I also feel so moody. Everything bothers me, and sometimes I feel like I can't breathe. My face has been breaking out more than when I wasn't taking the pill. I AM NOT TAKING THIS PILL ANYMORE! I barely feel bad side effects like this with medications."

For Birth Control "I started this when I was 13, for heavy period relief. Pros: no weight gain, shortened my period from 7-8 to 4-5 days. Cons: before Reclipsen, I never had cramps, moodiness, or really any period symptoms or PMS. Although my period lasted for 7-8 days and was very heavy, it was honestly pretty easygoing. After I began Reclipsen, my period was shortened to 4-5 days, but it took about 3 days of active pills for it to start and two of my inactives for it to stop. This hasn't stopped. I started getting cramps, moodiness, and extremely bad PMS. I used to act no different on my period than off, but since starting Reclipsen, it's been much worse."

For Birth Control "I've taken this birth control for 6-7 months now, and have been happy with my experience. At first, it definitely affected my mood and made me noticeably more irritable than before. However, I stuck with it and my mood has improved. It cleared my skin, and my acne is more controlled than it has been in years. It eliminated almost all cramps that come with my period, and my period is much shorter than before. It has also been effective in preventing pregnancy. All around, I've been happy with Reclipsen. If anything, my only complaint would be a slight rise in moodiness that has been manageable with time."

For Birth Control "Has been effective at preventing pregnancy. I've decided to stop taking it due to side effects. The first 2 months, my breasts were extremely tender. I experienced some depression symptoms and mood problems in the first month, which I initially thought went away, but I think I just got used to them. Looking back, I've been WAY more emotional at times (cry at least 2-3 times a week now, used to cry 2-3 times a year) and also fairly flat (don't really get excited about anything anymore). My sex drive has been almost non-existent while on Reclipsen. I used to be keen all the time, and now even extensive foreplay can't really get me going, which makes it pretty pointless to even be on it. Periods are short and light, which I will miss."

For Birth Control "Been on it for 2 weeks now. I don't tolerate anything well, and the first week I was very nauseous, had a few headaches, but nothing I couldn't handle. Now I've noticed that I've gained a pound, probably because it seems my boobs exploded. I was already a D, and now I'm sure I'm at least a DD. Kill me. Other than that, my sex drive is fine, maybe a little lower, but not bad. The one thing that I don't like is I'm super moody, and then I get depressed and want to eat everything. Also, some days I'm so tired and don't want to do anything."

For Birth Control "For the 3 years I was on it, I had ravenous hunger, low blood sugar crashes, low libido, stress, and anxiety. I had just quit smoking and wasn't used to eating instead of having a cigarette. I started on Ortho Lo. I thought I was just stressed with finishing school, but the moodiness didn't stop, so after a few months, they put me on Reclipsen. The nurse told me it was her favorite one and I wouldn't feel a thing because it was a monophase and wouldn't make my hormones jump around... like they are supposed to naturally a few times per month. Looking back, I just wish I had realized it wasn't 'me handling life so weak and vulnerable.' It was the pill. Hormones cause feelings. Birth control pills have fake hormones!"
