For Birth Control "Pros: I never became pregnant, I had less frequent and severe cramps, and it may have helped with acne, although I started a new regimen around the same time. Cons: within the first month of starting, I had a yeast infection, and over the next 2 years, I would have some kind of vaginal or bladder infection every other month. My libido decreased dramatically, and in addition to that, I was constantly dry down there. I experienced some dizziness and nausea, which is to be expected. Lastly, I became a huge crybaby when I used to be able to count how many times I cried in a year on one hand."

For Birth Control "This pill caused me to feel like I was PMSing all the time, 24/7. Even when things were going great, I was depressed ALL THE TIME. I didn't know why but finally figured out it was the medicine after about 2 weeks of taking it, the symptoms are just not worth it. Plus, it caused my acne to come back and get dry skin, no matter how much lotion I used and what I used."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Reclipsen for a little more than a year, and it has been great! My periods last about the same as when I wasn't taking it (a bit heavier). The first few months I started taking it, I lost about 10 pounds, and now I am back to my normal weight. I would recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I've used Reclipsen for 10 months now, and I've only had a few problems. I get a little more moody than I used to, but I feel like moodiness is pretty common anyway. My period is a little heavy on the second day but only lasts 4 days. It is GREAT at preventing pregnancy, it cleared up my acne, didn't gain any weight, and my breasts got bigger! I have, however, had a few urinary tract infections over the past couple of months, they are quite painful but not a deal breaker. Also, not sure if they were due to Reclipsen. Overall, a wonderful experience!"

For Birth Control "Reclipsen pros: prevents pregnancy, clear skin, regular cycles. Cons: weight gain, extreme mood swings, longer periods, depression, nausea, increased appetite, frequent yeast infection/bacterial vaginitis combination. I will find a better match for me. I was taking Reclipsen for about 1 year, then stopped taking it, and all my cons went away. I lost 15 pounds with no change in activity, and my yeast infections and mood swings stopped."

For Birth Control "I am 25 yrs and have started Reclipsen only a month ago. Before using it, I had long, painful, and heavy periods (7-9 days). I do know it is early to say, but I wanted to share my experience since I was really freaked out when planning on starting it, while reading all the bad reviews. So far, the only side effect is the breakthrough bleeding. It lasted for 7 days. On a plus side, my period lasted only 4 days, and only 1 day I had cramps (before Reclipsen, 4 - 5 days of some sort of cramps). If the breakthrough bleeding stops happening in the next couple of months, I am coming back and giving it a 10 on the rating scale. No mood changes, no pain, no weight gain so far."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for 1 month as of next Sunday, and I must point out that there are some downfalls of this birth control. Reclipsen does work very well as a reliable birth control method as long as you follow the instructions that come with the medication (taking one pill once a day at the same time daily). However, since a few days after I began taking Reclipsen, I've been running into some issues concerning painful headaches and acne flare-ups. I've been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen birth control pill in the past, and I do not remember having any issues as far as headaches or acne while I was on that medication. Reclipsen is reliable, but do beware because you may receive some uncomfortable side effects when beginning this medication."

For Birth Control "I've used this birth control for 8 years. I was a late bloomer and didn't have my first period until well into age 16. I'm told it's because I'm small and athletically inclined. I never had cramps or mood swings, but my periods were extremely irregular and would arrive unexpectedly to ruin my favorite pairs of underwear. My doctor selected this initially due to cost, as I was not sexually active and just wanted regulation. Now, at age 24, I'm happy to report its effectiveness at preventing pregnancy, as well as a complete lack of any side effects. No acne, no weight gain, no mood swings, no spotting, no cup size enhancements (unfortunately), and a nice 4-5 day window that I know exactly when and how much I'm going to bleed."

For Birth Control "I've been on Reclipsen for over a year now, and I didn't think it was that bad. I thought I had finally found my birth control, but now I have changed. I loved this pill because it really controlled my periods and cramps. I had little cramps and lighter periods, but my period wouldn't start until three days after taking the sugar pills. I've been reading other comments about headaches, and I can agree that I have had headaches every other night, but they weren't bad. I could still fall asleep. I am changing to a different pill because I didn't like how I gained weight on this pill. I gained ten pounds at least, and I've been getting heavier. It's really hard to lose the weight on this pill also. Time for a change!"

For Birth Control "I used this birth control for almost a year, but I decided to stop using it because it was causing me to have really bad mood swings, made me feel like a zombie (emotionless). From the first day I started using this birth control to the last, I spotted every single day. The only good thing that came from it was I was able to eat again, gained 20 pounds in about 3 months, it cleared my acne, and I grew 1 bra size. It also made my feet grow too. This birth control caused me to become hypoglycemic and gave me an inverted nipple that I have to forever live with. This birth control does its job and prevents pregnancy, but the side effects are not worth it. I recommend trying other birth controls before this one."

For Birth Control "I took Reclipsen for almost 3 weeks and couldn't even finish out the month. After the first few days, I had pretty bad nausea, so I started taking it at night, that helped. But that's when the headaches started. All within the first two weeks, my appetite went crazy (I am typically a very healthy eater). I've even gained a few pounds, I go to the gym about 4 times a week. I typically have very clear skin, but I started breaking out all over (not just on my face). I've had anxiety pretty bad, and sometimes I want to cry for no reason! My last straw, two days ago, I got my first migraine since I was a kid. I have switched to Minastrin 24 Fe, and I am really hoping it works better for me. I know everyone's body reacts differently!"

For Birth Control "After my first month on this pill, I have had nonstop acne on my chin like I have never had before. Also, I had my period (5 days) and then continued to spot for another 7 days. I don't weigh myself, but it is obvious I've gained weight as well. Don't even get me started about my over-the-top mood swings. I never had these problems when I was on Orthocept. Even though it has been only one month and it may balance out after a few months, I do not think I will wait to find out."

For Birth Control "I had been on Reclipsen for a year and use it to regulate and skip periods. From the very start, everything was going well. I had better skin, no weight gain, when I skipped, there was no spotting or anything. But I did notice that when I would stand up too fast, I would have a slight and short cramp. And it wasn't until I just tried out a new birth control (Microgestin for 3 weeks) that I noticed how Reclipsen depleted my sex drive completely. I might end up switching back to Reclipsen and try taking B vitamins."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for one year exactly, and I mainly went on this for my skin, but I didn't notice anything different with my acne when I was on it compared to when I didn't take birth control. The only thing I can say was that around the time I got my period, my face was the clearest it ever was, and then as soon as my period stopped, I began to break out again. I think with this birth control I did gain weight, probably around 15-20 pounds. It also made me very moody. I never got so upset/mad as easily as I did when I was on this. I felt like an emotional wreck at times because I would get mad so easily, and I hated it. I decided that this birth control, while effective for preventing pregnancies, was not for me."

For Birth Control "This birth control is wonderful because I never have cramps (I used to have them so bad that I would throw up). I rarely have acne (I've never had worse than very mild acne before, though). My boobs grew (Big boobs run in my family...). But it gives me CONSTANT yeast infections (I shower daily, sometimes twice, and wear full coverage underwear, and this doesn't make a difference!!!). I will be switching soon... No mood swings either."

For Birth Control "I was on Reclipsen for less than 2 weeks, and it caused blood clots. I had DVT and pulmonary embolisms. I'm one of the lucky ones that lived through those diagnoses. I had taken other BC in the past and always had terrible side effects, but never had an issue with clots. I also have no other contributing factors besides being overweight. I was 26 and never smoked in my life. No genetic issues either. I advise everyone to be careful when considering any birth control option. Know the signs of blood clots. It could save your life."

For Birth Control "Worsens depression, fatigue, increased appetite, weight gain, bloating, constant mild fever, headaches, unstable mood swings, decrease in sex drive overall but spikes in demand for sex at certain times (unstable). It did work as a birth control and did not worsen or help with my slight acne. I was on bupropion 300 mg for a few months before I started Reclipsen. It countered the positive effects of bupropion: increased energy, decreased appetite."

For Birth Control "I am not happy with Reclipsen. I have gained a ton of weight in the last 3 months I have been on it. I get super nauseous in the mornings, and I have one extremely bad migraine on the last day of the pills. I changed to Reclipsen because my other BC was giving me headaches. Now I'm fat and have zero sex drive. I am going to stop Reclipsen ASAP."

For Birth Control "This isn't my first time using this brand. All I can say is it made me want to eat all day, every day. Made me nauseous, but I started taking it at night, and that helped. It also gives me horrible mood swings during my period."

For Birth Control "I have been on Reclipsen for 3 weeks. I have been experiencing severe depression, anxiety, and mood swings. My sex drive is very low, and I cry uncontrollably and for no reason. I was on Apri prior to this, and it worked well and made me very even-keel. I will be switching back at my next doctor's visit."

For Birth Control "This birth control made me extremely depressed and suicidal. I also had mild cramps, tender breasts, and acne. No spotting so far, but I am going to finish this month and stop taking the pills. I probably will not try any form of hormones for birth control again after this experience."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill because I've been in a relationship for a while and wanted to be safe once we decided to start having sex. I've now been on it for four months, and my experience has been terrible. For the first three months, I had severe stomach pain, which led to a loss of appetite and a decrease of 15 lbs. I mean, it's great that I lost some weight, but it wasn't healthy for my body to go through that. I also continue to experience fatigue. I have little motivation because I am exhausted from the slightest amount of activity. I also feel very sad constantly. I cry almost every day, and my mood swings have caused strain on my relationship."

For Birth Control "I am 42 and have never been on BC for very long. Last attempt, I was on NuvaRing and wound up with a huge clot in my leg after a couple of weeks. The first few weeks were a bit rocky on this one. Felt bloated, a little moody, etc., but I am midway through the second month, and my body has stabilized. I may have had PCOS, definitely had a hormonal imbalance (elevated DHEA-S), and am relieved to no longer have super oily/thinning hair, dark hairs popping up on my chin, and super heavy periods. I was able to get my cycles down to 33 days and more normalized prior to starting, but it is great coming down to 28. Sex drive was good before, but even better. I am a person who does not like pills and is afraid of side effects, but so far the side effects are minimal."

For Birth Control "I first started using Reclipsen about a year ago. The first thing that I noticed was that my libido was noticeably reduced (which was a bit annoying), and my overall emotions were dulled a bit, so that I was more indifferent to things than before. Although I don't particularly mind this, that might be a breaking point for someone else. I tried Enskyce for a bit and ended up switching back due to side effects. Reclipsen works better for me and keeps my periods light and regular. I've never had an issue with weight gain or acne, so that's something to be considered as well. All in all, I'm happy with it."

For Birth Control "I take the pill at the same time every day, and it has been effective in preventing pregnancies, however, my sex drive is now non-existent, whereas before I had an extremely high sex drive. I also have vaginal dryness now, which is very annoying. Haven't had any other issues besides that, but it is frustrating to deal with at times."
