For Acne "I struggled with acne since beginning middle school. All other topical medications were too harsh and either irritated my skin to where it was red and overly oily, or it made my acne worse. Yes, it's normal to get worse before getting better, but after months of the other medicines, it never got better. While using Aczone, my acne never got worse, only better after the first few days. I have been using it for about 4 months now, and my skin is completely smooth besides the occasional pimple that is barely there. All I have left to take care of are the scars that were left over the years. Strongly recommend Aczone to all with sensitive skin!"

For Acne "I started breaking out for the first time when I turned 20 years old. It was terrible, cystic acne, and I tried everything before going to the dermatologist. When I finally did, I was prescribed Aczone and Retin-A. During the first three weeks, my skin got worse. All my cystic acne rose to the top and turned into whiteheads. My skin also became flaky at the same time from the Retin-A. I wanted to stop and give up, but I'm so glad I didn't. Now my skin is almost completely clear, and it's been 6 weeks. Please don't give up on this treatment. Continue to use it as your doctor prescribed, and you will see results. I still have some redness, but overall, my skin is smooth, and I finally feel comfortable in it!"

For Acne "I'm 23. I always had small, mostly unnoticeable blemishes. Just before my 21st birthday, I got pregnant. So my hormones must have changed. I started getting larger pimples with redness, and the breakouts seemed to itch. I went to the dermatologist, and she put me on a regimen that includes Aczone 2x a day, along with Differin gel at night and ampicillin 2x a day, and I wash my face with CeraVe. Though I'm in the 'worse before better' stage, I have to say I like the Aczone. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I have tried many things that result in dryness, redness, peeling, and burning. With Aczone, I don't get anything like that. There's a slight itch that lasts for about a minute. Just remember only a pea-sized amount. CeraVe lotion is good at night."

For Acne "Close to my 20th birthday, my face broke out with horrible, painful acne. Everything I tried didn't help at all. I always wash my makeup off morning and night, and that didn't even prevent it. I finally went to my dermatologist, and after trying all of their topical creams before in the past, my dermatologist recommended Accutane. I was nervous to take it, so he told me to try Aczone. It's been almost 10 weeks, and nothing has really improved except a little on my chin and forehead. My cheeks are still red and inflamed. I wouldn't recommend this product, but of course, there are all kinds of different skin types that it works better on than some, but I guess mine wasn't the lucky one."

For Acne "Bad, it started out clearing my skin. A week into it, my skin began to get red, and my acne got worse. I hope that this medication will eventually help. For a person of color, this does not work for my skin."

For Acne "I used this product for about 6 months. I have very sensitive skin (benzoyl peroxide is my biggest allergen). Aczone gave me a similar reaction to benzoyl: dry, burning, red patches all over my face. Not good if your skin is sensitive and prone to rashes."

For Acne "I have used Aczone 5% for over 2 years. It worked pretty well to manage minor breakouts and is much less abrasive than other topical acne treatments (both OTC and prescription). I still struggled with cystic acne, so my dermatologist also prescribed an oral medication called Spironolactone. I take 50 mg once daily. Boy, does that really help my cystic acne! That medication, when used as prescribed at higher dosages, is to treat high blood pressure, but it has been found that in doses of 50-100 mg, it can treat cystic acne. I have extremely sensitive skin and have to be careful with what products I put on my face. I recently made the change to the 7.5% and am experiencing some redness and irritation. Does anyone know if this will subside over time?"

For Acne "Help! My skin seemed to be normal with few breakouts. I started Aczone 7.5, and it is terrible! Pimples and redness all over my face! Is this normal? Should I wait it out? It's been about 3 weeks."
