For Perimenopausal Symptoms "Initially just took this as-needed for hot flashes (maybe ½ of a 0.1 mg pill twice a week), but things turned awful after I started taking it twice a day every day. After the first week and a half of that, I started noticing increased gas, nausea, headaches, low appetite, a general heaviness feeling of my whole body... then, a week after that came the awfully vivid dreams, sleeplessness, heightened anxiety, and irritability. I thought I was actually sick from something, but then realized it's from the consistent use of this medication. Will only take it from now on if I absolutely need it! Otherwise, it's staying in the back of my medicine cabinet."

For Anxiety "It may work for some people, not for me. I do not tolerate meds that raise the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. I experienced irritability, headaches, insomnia, paresthesia, and blood pressure that fluctuated throughout the day."

For Opiate Withdrawal "Oh my God, this medicine gave me severe diarrhea, with an awful headache, and made my heart hurt. I have low blood pressure, so this was not for me."

For Opiate Withdrawal "Just want to share for others suffering to get off the crap out there. I've been taking pills for 4-5 years: oxys, codamol, MS Contin 100 mg daily for back injuries. Escalated to hydromorphone (Dilaudid) up to 10 x 8 mg a day plus Jurnista 32 mg a day, even had methadone in small doses for BT. Still lived with pain. Realized how hooked I was when I went without a few of these for a day: intense, horrific WDs. So I had enough. I need my life back. I was a shell of my former self. These drugs ruin lives. So I tapered down over a month, hardest month of my life, got down to 1 Jurnista a day. Then read all available for home detox, found clonidine info, spoke to my doc, she prescribed me 0.1 mg twice a day (I have low BP usually). I was terrified. Like scared of not taking the last opioid pill and dying from WD. Instead, I took the clonidine, expecting to wake up in full WD, had NIL WD symptoms!!!! On 36 hrs no opioids!! Just a bit headachy and weak. Bearable 100%. Why is this not used more!!!!!"
