For Panic Disorder "I had severe panic disorder beginning in 1992. I couldn’t function. My doctor prescribed Prozac 20 mg daily and Klonopin 0.25 in the morning and 0.25 at night. I had almost immediate good results and was back feeling great; calm, no anxiety, back to my old self. I’ve been on this combination for many years. It has been wonderful to be able to lead a full life!"

For Anxiety "I have very bad anxiety attacks that occur at random. I take one in the morning and one at night and it helps me immensely. I believe it's a lifesaver, it brings tears to my eyes. It relieved the torture of daily anxiety attacks which caused me great depression."

For Panic Disorder "46 years old and suffered from untreated anxiety since I was 12. Last December had my first panic attack and everything went to hell after that. Doc put me on 0.5 mg Klonopin 1 x a day which I split up and take one half in the morning and half before bed. Also take 10 mg Celexa as well, which seems to work well together with the Klonopin. Needless to say, the last week since I've started these I've been better, more motivated and not so anxious, not to mention sleeping all the way through the night. People say don't take Klonopin daily or watch out for withdrawal from long-term use? Why stop using it if it has been working for years? Think about what your life was like before using it... cannot have been pleasant. It helps some people live better."

For Panic Disorder "In my opinion, this medicine is great. It feels good to be able to go outdoors with confidence. No more anxiety or dizziness. I can say hello to a nice girl at a coffee shop or even read a book without thinking everyone is looking and laughing at me. This medicine worked for me. I now go to the gym, have friends, and a lively weekly routine. I slowly want to see if I can handle life without them, but I always keep them around just in case I have an attack. Good luck, guys."

For Panic Disorder "This drug saved my life. After suffering from severe mood swings and anxiety my whole life, this drug has made me feel normal again. I take 1 mg twice a day. It has allowed me to function in society and hold down a great job. I’ve been taking it for about a year now and couldn’t be happier. I had been on Xanax previously and had constantly been needing higher and higher doses until it just didn’t work anymore and my anxiety skyrocketed. I can’t recommend this higher to anyone with anxiety."

For Anxiety "I've been taking 1mg of Klonopin daily for 3.5 years, after the sudden death of my father. At the time, my anxiety was a 10 and Klonopin allowed me to continue working and raising my 4 kids. I consider Klonopin an absolute miracle drug that probably saved my life. My psychiatrist, and 2 other consulted doctors, don't express the least amount of concern about using 1 mg of Klonopin daily perhaps indefinitely. However, I went 42 years without taking a prescription drug and it really is my hope to not need Klonopin for much longer. The notion that Benzos should not be taken beyond 4 weeks is purely irrational. Find a good doctor!!!"

For Anxiety "I'm writing this in case anyone else is in my position of being afraid of taking this out of the fear of it making you high, since so many people have voiced strong opposing opinions about Klonopin. I was in the same exact position of being afraid of taking it, even though those around me (which is part of something I have to learn... accepting that people know what they're talking about when it comes to anxiety) were telling me that nothing would happen. It took me a spur of the moment gather of courage to take Klonopin... and now I can say that *when needed*, I love Klonopin. It melts away anxiety and leaves a dent in depersonalization (if you struggle) and allows you to function and level off for a few days afterwards."

For Anxiety "I had been on Zoloft for about a year or so which helped manage my anxiety, but didn't help when it came to a very stressful day or event that led to side effects like racing heart, labored breathing, sweating, stomach ulcers, etc. I needed something that I could take immediately to stave an anxiety attack off. My doctor prescribed Klonopin and I'm so grateful for it. For me, it doesn't make me tired, lethargic, or dull me down. I was afraid of a medication that would just sedate me. This drug takes the edge off and makes me feel good enough to continue with my day. I haven't had any side effects."

For Anxiety "Took this medicine for 12 years, then stopped for 2 years. Those 2 years off it I had a hard time with panic, sleep, and anxiety. It has improved my life. And, you can take it long term with no side effects. I take 2 to 3 1mg tablets daily. Some people need help with daily living. Mental helps the physical!"

For Anxiety "I started off taking Klonopin after developing severe panic attacks 20 years ago. It was a lifesaver for me! I took it for 15 years and weaned myself off of it with no problems. I am back on it now after 5 years of not taking it due to recent life events that started the anxiety back up. I take 1 mg tablets up to twice a day. I've never had any of the horrifying withdrawals that other people complain of. Klonopin definitely works for me."

For Anxiety "I was prescribed Klonopin to get me through anxiety exacerbated by starting on Lexapro. It is a benzo and therefore highly addictive so I was very careful about taking it as little as possible. I found it to be very effective, and one tablet would actually keep me calm for around 36 hours (it has a very long half-life). I did not feel side effects and didn't feel drunk or disoriented. It was effective for me but needs to be used with care."

For Panic Disorder "This medication has helped me take control of my life again. I’m 21 years old and used to have a brain tumor when I was younger. I was treated for my anxiety first with Lexapro, but it gave me a 30-minute seizure. It turns out I have temporal lobe epilepsy due to the tumor I had, which is now accompanied by extreme panic attacks. The seizures themselves give me a rising feeling in my stomach like on a roller coaster, and then my muscles and diaphragm tighten, and I can barely breathe, like I got the wind knocked out of me. This then sends me into a panic attack where I start hyperventilating because I cannot get enough air. Let’s just say this medicine has restored my life. I take 2 mg before bed every night, and 90 percent of the time I am seizure and panic-free. I do not get any side effects with this medicine. It helped me finally make the Dean's List again at school since I can function properly now. I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me."

For Bipolar Disorder "Love this medicine. Great for bipolar and anxiety. I try not to use it all the time, it won't work the same if you take it all the time. This medicine is safe. I see some people have been on it for over 20 years!"

For Anxiety "I have been on Klonopin for almost a year now, and it has been an absolute lifesaver! I had horrible panic attacks, was scared to drive, couldn't even go shopping without getting dizzy and anxious. Anxiety had taken over my life, the panic attacks were so scary I thought I was going to die. I'm very grateful to have this medicine. I've heard of problems with dependency, but I don't know what I'd do without it. I'm also on Zoloft, and I feel like I have my life back!"

For Anxiety "Best medication personally for anxiety and panic attacks. I have been taking 3-6mg a day since I was 16 and compared to all the other benzodiazepines, it has been the safest for long-term use. I have tried Ativan, Xanax, and Valium also and did not have good experiences due to many side effects, and they only worked for a couple of weeks for me. Personally, all medications have withdrawal, so why not choose the best medication for yourself. SSRIs are just as hard to come off of as Benzos because of withdrawals, but most doctors don't tell you that."

For Insomnia "Klonopin is the only medication that works for my insomnia. I've been on pretty much every medicine for insomnia at one point or another. I have OCD, and the reason I can't sleep is because the obsessive thoughts won't stop ruminating in my head. When I take Klonopin, the thoughts are no longer intrusive."

For Anxiety "I love Klonopin. When I was going through an extremely hard custody case with my ex-husband, my doctor prescribed the Klonopin. She scheduled it up to 3 times a day. I used it too. It helped me face my fears and stand up for myself for once. Once that was over, she scheduled it on 1.0 mg as needed up to 3 times a day. I still have the script. I do use the Klonopin only when I'm in a situation that I need help relaxing. I know I need it at those times. When I take it, I feel great. If I didn't need it but thought I did, all it would do is make me tired. It's been 3 years of PRN Klonopin & I know when I need it and when I don't. For those who feel this could be abused, my response is if the person really needs it, Misuse wouldn't happen."

For Panic Disorder "I had my ovaries removed (outpatient) 5 years ago at age 41. Next day (never fell asleep) I had paralyzing fear, but had no idea why. My husband took me to the ER where my heart rate was 173! I was in the hospital for a week, 3 days no sleep. I was given Klonopin, it was AMAZING! I had been admitted for my first ever panic attack! After leaving the hospital I continued having insomnia and panic attacks. My GP now prescribes 0.5 mg as needed. I have a bottle in my purse and by my bed. I only take HALF a pill, ONLY WHEN NEEDED, and RARELY do I take the other half 30 min later. Just knowing I have a med that works on hand reduced number of attacks. When used RESPONSIBLY, Klonopin is a LIFESAVER! Never take more of any med than you actually need!"

For Panic Disorder "I was first prescribed Ativan for panic attacks and was to take it as needed. It made me extremely depressed and suicidal, and I couldn't focus. So I switched to Klonopin, and in my experience, it's so much better. I don't feel 'drugged up' when I'm on it. I just feel calm and have a good sense of well-being. Also helps with social anxiety, I'm not constantly worrying what people are thinking of me."

For Anxiety "I began getting severe panic attacks in the middle of the night every night. Not just regular sleep pattern problems. But waking up wanting to be dead. This went on for a couple of years until I could not bear it anymore. My doctor prescribed me Klonopin, and it has done the trick. Prior to Klonopin, I tried Ambien, Ambien XL, and Seroquel. I personally think it's a good idea to follow your doctor's instructions and start with the milder medicine. But to those who warn of the withdrawal symptoms of Klonopin, I have to say that opinion does not apply to all. Not wanting to die in the middle of the night every night for 2 years is such a benefit to me that I will risk the withdrawal symptoms that may come with stopping later down the road."

For Anxiety "Recently I had a rough bout with anxiety. From out of nowhere, I just lost faith in myself due to some life circumstances and an overload of work. I was losing sleep and spiraling downward at an amazing rate. I decided to talk to my doctor who prescribed Klonopin. With the first dose, I felt immediate relief, and to avoid dependency, I only took 0.25 mg at night until I was started on an SSRI. My doctor favored the SSRI approach as better in the long run. After three months on Klonopin every day, and after the SSRI kicked in, I stepped off the Klonopin without any withdrawals like you read about on the internet. I think the key is to take the lowest dose you can or only as prescribed. The medicine worked wonders for me!"

For Panic Disorder "OMG is Klonopin a life saver. My whole life I've been a social person. Guys used to call me Happy xxx. One day for no reason, laying in bed, I had a horrible panic attack that lasted hours and put me in the ER. From that point, it was an endless loop of misery - 6 to 10 horrible attacks a day. Doctors prescribed Buspar and hydroxyzine. Hydroxyzine kept me on my feet, but barely, and in my opinion, Buspar didn't help at all. Fast forward 7 weeks, still a wreck. Doctor put me on Klonopin, and it saved me. I'm back to Happy xxx. It reduced my symptoms by 70 percent. I feel like I'm alive again. So, for anyone reading this, it's really worth a try. It got me back to a state of mind where I can exist as a normal person. I literally cried the first time I took it. An hour after taking it, everything started to calm down, and the more time went by, the better I felt. I was overwhelmed with relief. I cried hard, happy tears that something finally gave me a fighting chance at a normal life."

For Panic Disorder "I have been taking Klonopin for many years. I started having weird feelings, like I was going to die. I kept ending up in the ER. The doctors kept telling me it was anxiety. I didn't understand why anxiety would make me feel this way. When the anxiety would kick in, I literally thought I was dying. My heart would race, my body would get tingles, and I would feel choked. It was scary and still is. I have tried many anxiety medicines-Paxil, Effexor, Xanax, Lamictal, Geodon, and many more. None have worked the way Klonopin works. With Klonopin, I feel safe and I do not get jittery feelings. I am so grateful to have a medication that actually works for me. If I miss a dose, I will get severe anxiety and a panic attack."

For Panic Disorder "Approximately twenty years ago, I was taken by ambulance twice and once by car to the ER where they gave me something that calmed me. It was similar to a seizure. Nothing ever triggered these attacks. It just came upon me very fast. I was enjoying my career and life; I'm very social. My doctor finally sent me to a psychologist, and he diagnosed me with panic attacks. There was a name for this! I was prescribed something similar to Klonopin, and when Klonopin came on the market, he prescribed 0.5mg twice a day. I have had no adverse side effects, only positive. I have never had another panic attack and do not plan to ever stop taking Klonopin. I am the same person I was and live life to the fullest in a new phase of 'early retirement'!!"
