"I was put on 200 mg of Clomipramine (after trying a myriad of other medications for a myriad of diagnoses, including SAD, GAD, Major Depressive Disorder, OCD, and Bulimia). This medication was supposed to help with my OCD, but I didn’t notice much help there; however, a welcoming side effect is that it did effectively stop my excoriation disorder. I used to pick at my skin for 2-3 hours a day, and now I maybe pick it 2-3 hours a week. So I am staying on 100 mg of Clomipramine and starting Luvox or Fluvoxamine for OCD. Fingers crossed it helps."

"I have had trichotillomania since I was a kid. For those of you who don't know what trichotillomania is, it's hair loss from repeated urges to pull or twist the hair until it breaks off. Patients are unable to stop this behavior. Anyway, these urges come in episodes, sometimes an episode lasts a week, a month, or several months. These episodes can be caused by stress, changes in lifestyle, social reasons, or no obvious reason at all. I'm 18 years old, and I find this medicine helpful. I take it only when I have the symptoms, and in a few days, I can see I'm getting better. Sometimes the symptoms disappear completely, the side effects are annoying, but they can get better with time. I recommend this drug."
