For Acne "The best way to describe this product is a total 'lifesaver'! Reading these reviews, I've noticed people are too quick to judge this product within the first few weeks because they are not patient enough to wait for results. Topical creams take a few months to work their magic and truly take effect. I did not start to notice results until 4 full months of using this product. I went from terrible hormonal and cystic acne to completely clear skin, similar to the results you see from oral Accutane pills. The only reason I do not give this product a full 10 rating is that it is extremely drying. If you don't moisturize 24/7, your skin can get to the point where it flakes off, and you cannot apply any makeup over it. However, with a proper routine, this can be avoided. You also need to beware of the sun, it causes you to get severely red or even blister. Truly, the pros outweigh the cons. This product is fantastic, and it has been the only thing to help my skin!"

For Acne "DON'T GIVE UP HOPE. I'm prescribed clindamycin topical lotion for AM & tretinoin topical cream for PM. I had bad forehead acne, it began leaving dark marks & pits. Never having a problem with acne before, I decided to go to the doc. She said it may take 8-12 weeks to see results. I began to break out even more than before using the medicine (this is good, dirt is surfacing). Used day & night for 2 months, and I was still scarring after each pimple. Went in for my 3-month check-up with a blemish-free face but still had pits/scars. The doc told me to hang in there, and sure enough, after 5 months of using day & night, no pimples + scars have faded/disappeared! I use CeraVe face wash & moisturizer-expensive, but it has helped eliminate my forehead wrinkles too. DON'T GIVE UP ON IT."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've been using this, along with a medicated morning scrub, for about 3 months now. I've noticed less inflamed acne spots, but I still get normal breakout flares at different times. I'm still waiting to see consistent results at this point. But I did stop using the Veltin gel while I had a stomach virus, and even just missing the one dose that evening, the next day I had brand new flare-ups of acne. So the medicine is definitely doing something."

For Acne "I will never understand why I wasn't prescribed this medication before Accutane. I have been visiting the dermatologist for about 6 years now, trying to cure my moderate acne. I tried Accutane, retina, benzoyl peroxide (which I found out I am very allergic to), nothing worked. FINALLY, something has worked!! It's only been about three months, but around 75% of my acne is gone and the texture has improved. Favorite things: I experienced no initial breakout on my face. Saw dramatic results in the first 1-2 months. It actually WORKS! My biggest issues: it can be a little drying, so I can only use it every couple of days at most. It has helped my acne and whiteheads but not my blackheads. And it does not seem to work as well on my back and chest."

For Acne "I started using the Biacna brand of clindamycin/tretinoin a week ago. I started using Tactu Pump Forte (benzoyl peroxide-adapalene mix) a year ago to treat severe hormonal acne. Everything about my routine worked, and my skin was fairly clear at a steady rate. Now, with mandatory face coverings/masks, my face has gone back to its old ways. As much as I keep my face clean, I couldn't stop deep pimples from appearing. Almost instantly, they would appear after wearing a face mask at work for over eight hours. I have an appointment to see a dermatologist, but in the meantime, I was prescribed Biacna. I can say this is a lot more gentle than benzoyl peroxide (BP), so my skin can handle it. My face feels soft, no pimples forming beneath the surface. I haven't had any purge, and I don't think I will. So far, so good! I also got myself a nice cotton face mask that covers a lot of my face, and so it doesn't rub and irritate. I clean my face masks daily and wear two throughout the day. Highly recommend Biacna."

For Acne "So far, I love this product! I've had mild but persistent acne for years. After finishing one round of Accutane and seeing minimal results with terrible side effects, I decided to stop treatment. Soon after, my acne came back again with a small amount of cystic acne but many, many small red bumps all over. Finally, my derm gave me Clindamycin 1.2% and Tretinoin 0.025% gel. After one and a half months, I see great improvement! I recommend the gel, it leaves a nice, smooth finish. I BARELY had an initial breakout, which is uncommon for me. Yes, I did break out, but nothing worse than how it was before. It is drying, so I highly suggest using it every other night and using it as a spot treatment on very dry days. About 60% of my acne is already clear!"

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've struggled with moderate acne the past several months and finally went to the dermatologist. She prescribed Ziana gel at night, as well as Epiduo for the mornings, an oral antibiotic, and Cetaphil Dermacontrol face cleanser and moisturizer. Like others, the first week of using Ziana gel made areas on my face where the acne was worse slightly red and peel. However, I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin, and it's only been a week. I also have been drinking a lot of water (hydrating from the inside out) as well as using regular Cetaphil after I apply the gel at night. The day I saw my dermatologist, I also had a facial done after my appointment, so I think that has helped me not have the 'purge' phase some people are talking about."

For Acne "I started using Biacna in combination with the pill Diane-35 for acne in August 2015. My skin started getting horrible when I was about 17.5 - 18 years old, and I had only ever had small acne breakouts occasionally before then. After a year and a half, I began using tea tree oil, which cleared my acne for a short period of time, but it returned again this spring full on (I'm now 21). When I began Biacna, I experienced HORRIBLE initial breakouts - extremely inflamed, worse than any I've previously had, and left me with dark purple, almost black scars on both cheeks. I just hit the 3-month mark, and my acne literally vanished within the past week. My skin is almost flawless now, with the exception of my scars, which are fading. Thank God for this!!"

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've only started this 3 weeks ago, however, I have seen a huge difference. Within the first couple of days, it cleared all the redness and whiteheads. It did dry my skin out, and I had to double up on my moisturizer. Now going into week 3, the deep bumps that never seem to go away have started to subside. I accidentally skipped one night and could tell the difference the next day, so it's definitely something you have to keep in the habit of."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I have been using Veltin for about 5 weeks now. At first, I was worried when I started using it because it made me break out across my forehead. Luckily, the pimples were small and not severe. My skin has adjusted to the medicine, and although I still have some pimples, I’m pretty happy with the results. I’m going to continue to use this product throughout the summer."

For Acne "Miracle drug for congested/red/weird textured/oily skin. In the initial phases, my skin broke out, especially on my jawline area. This subsided, and the quality and texture of my skin is similar to when before I had acne. I was amazed that this drug worked and am still amazed it has given me renewed confidence. I get compliments from others on how different my skin looks, and they didn't know I took this."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I'm a female in my mid-20s with mild acne, mostly around my jawline and occasionally right over my eyebrows. I was prescribed Ziana about a month ago by my dermatologist. I had previously been using Finacea. With Finacea, I still had the monthly 2-3 deep pimples that took weeks to completely go away. After starting Ziana, I have only had ONE pimple on my chin that went away in a few days. I did not experience the 'purge' my dermatologist warned me about. That may be due to the monthly facials I have started to get, but I'm not sure. I have noticed a drastic difference in my breakouts and skin overall. I have not noticed a difference in my acne 'scars' or pink/reddish-brown marks left from previous breakouts, but I will wait and see."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've been using Ziana for about a year now, it seems to do a good job preventing and treating new acne vulgaris, but does nothing to prevent or eliminate the whiteheads. I actually haven't used it in the past week and have seen no change in my skin. I also wash my face with a salicylic acid/glycolic acid face wash that my dermatologist sells."

For Acne "I’m so sad right now. When I first started this, I only had 5 small bumps on my face, for some reason, my derm recommended this. Two months later, I have a bunch of bumps with pus in them. I’m just going to wait for another month to use the full three months, but I’m super disappointed with this right now."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "The medication had severely dried up my skin. It is constantly peeling. Everything I do to it burns it so bad I want to cry. I can’t even touch around my under eyes. It helped clear up my acne decently fast. I’m going to keep using it, but I hope the side effects go away SOON."

I have been using it for 6 months now and may have had one breakout in the beginning since I've been using it. For Acne "I have tiny whiteheads and have tried other acne gels in the past, but clindamycin/tretinoin topical has been the best so far. My skin is really clearing up after 2 months of use. It's a great feeling not wearing foundation and concealer and feeling confident."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I used this for one month with little to no results on my face; on my chest, it cleared up the clogged pores very quickly. I'll be switching back to Epiduo, a stronger retinoid and less risky antiseptic (topical antibiotics pose the risk of creating antibiotic-resistant bacteria). After seeing that most of you experienced notable improvement within a month, if not a few weeks, I'm forfeiting this treatment."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I've used this medicine for about a week along with a prescribed antibiotic. I have noticed that it has significantly cleared up. But it's making my face look sunburnt without being in the sun too much. My neck also recently just got really red from halfway up. Overall, it's been decent: peeling, redness, and occasional burning. But so far, I like the results."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I'm 19 years old, and I started Veltin on May 17 for both hormonal acne but specifically for the many whiteheads that covered my forehead. By July, my skin was completely clear. I know that this medication did its exact job, but it also came with the side effects of having dry skin permanently, my face becoming red whenever I walk out into the sun, and having random rashes on my face due to how sensitive it is. I'm no longer using the medication because, after I moved from Florida to New Hampshire, my skin was extremely dry, and it caused more problems than benefits. I haven't had a single acne cyst since my skin has been clear. My only problem now is dealing with my skin texture and my skin occasionally peeling if my skin disagrees with something."

For Acne "My dermatologist prescribed this cream for my acne. I see many people say that a week after they had pimples and that's normal! My dermatologist warned me that it was a normal process, and I can tell you that it's been 2 months. I apply this cream and I have nothing. For Acne "I was prescribed this, and at first, it was working well, but after about a week of using this product, the area that I was applying the gel got a terrible rash. It took the acne away but looked almost like a burn mark and was quite painful. Would not recommend."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "Luckily, my skin never 'purged' with this product and just cleared it up! I was prescribed birth control and Ziana for my acne and never even had to start birth control because of the effectiveness of the gel. I haven't had problems with over-drying, with the exception of a sunburn that made me peel, just make sure to always wear face sunscreen! It's worked wonders for my skin!"

For Acne "I have had acne for about 7 years now, and my doctor recently put me on a combination of topical creams 'clindamycin' & 'Differin' & a prescription of benzoyl peroxide face wash, along with an antibiotic 'doxycycline.' I suffer from whiteheads and blackheads more than pimples. I've been on the combination of medications for 2 weeks now, and I've noticed a huge change. My blackheads are disappearing, and my skin is becoming smooth. Only the negative thing is it's causing bad dry skin and a slight burn to my face, so I cut the face wash benzoyl peroxide down to every other day, and the burning is going away. I highly recommend this treatment."
