For Acne "After reading all the reviews, I'm very unsure what to do. I was prescribed Treclin by my doctor. I've been using the gel for 6 days now, and my face has broken out so badly. Did it sting anyone else when putting the gel on? I feel as though my face is getting worse and not better. I don't know whether to go to my doctor or to stick it out and hope for the best...."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I originally had mild pustular acne. I used Veltin for 5 weeks before giving up. My face became red, weeping, stinging, and covered in cystic acne while using it. I used it once a night as prescribed and would use Cetaphil lotion on my face morning and night to try to hydrate my skin. It got to the point where I did not want to go to work because of comments. Just putting water on my face made me cry. Within 2 weeks of stopping, my acne is back to mild and my face is healing with 2 scars from where it was peeling and weeping."

For Acne "I’m 18 years old and have severe back and chest acne and moderate face acne. I have used this product for about two weeks, and I must say that the acne on my face has calmed down and is nearly gone, but it is getting worse on my chest and back. My chest and face are peeling and burning, and whenever I touch the dry areas, it stings. My back is not peeling yet but is getting worse. I will continue to use this in hopes it might get better, but I’m very unhappy with the dryness. I have to apply moisturizer five times a day, and even then, I still peel and sting!"

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I do not recommend Ziana at all. I have had a terrible experience. I applied Ziana 2x, followed the instructions perfectly. I applied it Tuesday night at bedtime, I washed and dried my face and waited at least 30 minutes to apply a pea-sized amount to my face. Wednesday I woke up, my face was red, but not bad. I applied again Wednesday night the exact same way. When I woke up Thursday morning, my face had red blotches and was itchy. As the day went on, my face got progressively worse: red blotches, tiny blisters, skin peeling off, severe pain, and stinging. I immediately stopped using Ziana. Today is Saturday, and my face has only continued getting worse. I went back to the dermatologist, got 2 scripts, my face is now bleeding."

Clindamycin / tretinoin topical for Acne "I had many obnoxious but small bumps on my forehead this past summer. Along with that, the occasional large zit. I got put on Veltin by my dermatologist and began using it on August 3rd. At first, I used it every other night on my whole face except my cheeks and experienced a bit of dryness around my mouth and overall redness. That subsided fairly quickly, and I began to use it once a day at night, at least a half hour after showering and moisturizing to minimize stinging. Today is September 24, and my skin has been perfectly clear for two weeks! I have adjusted to the dryness, and my skin is very happy!"
