For Major Depressive Disorder "I just started taking this medication a few days ago and woke up every morning with severe anxiety, and my blood pressure skyrocketed. If you have been diagnosed with hypertension, I wouldn’t recommend you take this. Wellbutrin alone had worked for me in the past as far as my energy levels and depression but gave me bad anxiety and made me sweat more than usual, which increased my body odor, so I stopped taking it. The only reason I started Auvelity was to help with my fatigue, which seemed to help in the past, but I can’t deal with the anxiety it gives me in the mornings. Will have to stop. One of the major benefits is my sexual desire has improved. My doctor added this medication along with Viibryd, which I was already on, which has sexual dysfunction. Altogether, I would give it a 6 out of 10. Would recommend it if you don’t have hypertension or anxiety."

"I have been on Auvelity for 8 days. Advised to take one a day for 3 days and then 2 a day. Side effects are bearable; constipation, agitation (when it starts to wear off), sweating, fuzziness (brain fog). I feel “lighter”, I laugh more, I feel generally content. Around day 4, I started to get an anxiety attack in the afternoon but was able to ward it off. I almost stopped taking it but decided to muscle through. I am glad I did. Although it’s been a short time, I am very optimistic about this medication. I have been on several other antidepressants in the past and none have proven effective so I pretty much gave in to the fact there was nothing out there for me. Unlike most of the reviews I have read about this drug, I have never been diagnosed with MDD. I just happened upon this medication after seeing a commercial for it and my doctor prescribed it for me. It works incredibly quickly compared to other meds I've had. Don't give up, you will find something that works for you too!"

For Major Depressive Disorder "It has really helped with my depression, and I have been taking it for almost a week, so it’s fast acting. However, the side effects are making me want to stop taking it. I have chest pain, jaw pain, dizziness, horrible headache, excess sweating, vision changes, shortness of breath, and I almost pass out every time I stand up. I’ve continued taking it, though, in hopes that the side effects will subside because it has drastically improved my mental health, and I no longer have suicidal ideation. I love everything about it aside from the side effects."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Gave me constipation and increased sweating. My husband says I always appear sleepy. On the good side, it cut my appetite - just not hungry. I took one for 3 days and then 2x per day."
