For Chronic Pain "I’ve been using this med for 3 months. I have post-cancer chronic pain that’s never going away, ever. I’ve been on a lot of different narcotics, and my pain doctor decided I should try this instead of increasing the dose of the other stuff any more before it became more of a potential addiction issue. I’ve been on the top dose of this Belbuca film because of my pain level, and from day one I started sweating and haven’t stopped since. Soaking sweats, day and night. Wet, clammy skin, damp pillow, piles of sleeping clothes being changed all night, at least three or four changes of clothes every day, not to mention the inability to engage socially without being completely embarrassed by this horrible sweating. Worst of all, the pain relief has been poor, to say the least. What a misery. I gave it a good shot, but it’s just awful. I’m being put back on a real pain med as soon as my last film is gone, and I can wait."

For Chronic Pain "I have chronic pain. Belbuca is a new medication that I have been treated with for over the past 6 months, and it's working fair for me. 750 dose, and I was on pills for 10 years before. Now I deal with polycystic kidney disease, lupus, and fibromyalgia syndrome, and Belbuca is not perfect, but it may take time. The sticking and gum place is bad until you use it. I have messed up some patches, but in time and dosing, for me, it made it better. I never thought I would be able to function without the pills. With Belbuca, Lyrica, and Baclofen, I can manage. Not everybody is the same."

For Chronic Pain "Started Belbuca in April 2020 for chronic pain. My neck C4, C5, and C6 are herniated and bulging. In pain and still trying not to have surgery on my neck. The fact that I had 3 back surgeries from 2016, I’m rodded, caged, and infused from L3 to L5, now my L2 is now herniated/bulged. Water therapy and physical therapy for that also. I have rheumatoid arthritis as well. Since I have been on Belbuca, the brain fog is still there. I now suffer from migraines 15 days or more out of the month. I have swelling all over my body, constant sore throat, and I get upper respiratory infections and am nauseous all day after taking them twice a day. I never had migraines before I started taking Belbuca. They have added more meds for migraines and I get Botox for the migraines too. Also, I am on nausea meds. I forget things so easily. I have insomnia and might sleep 2 to 4 hours if I’m lucky. I am sweating out of nowhere. The pain barely eases up. I have been sicker on this med than I have ever been in my life."

For Chronic Pain "Had been stable on MS Contin 2x a day and Norco 3 to 4x a day. Had to move. New Dr. took me off MS Contin and had me try several short-acting meds. Started 150 Belbuca 3 months ago with Norco 3x a day. Thought it might be helping a little, so he went to 300 mg. Seemed to help a little more, so he upped it to 450 mg last visit. I hoped that would do it, despite the cost. It's been a week, and I’m so confused and disappointed! My pain has been horrible since then. At first, I thought I was having a bad flare. (I have UCTD, Fibro, OA, 4 fused vertebrae.) But it’s not like any flare I’ve had before. I’m waking up several times a night with the worst joint and muscle pain I’ve ever had, drenched in sweat. Norco barely touches it. Took Prednisone today even though my rheumatologist discourages it. I’ll try to give it a few more days before I call the pain clinic. If it’s not the Belbuca, I’ll update my rating, but right now I’m NOT a fan. Besides, I can’t afford it on SSDI."

For Chronic Pain "I'm on 150 Belbuca for pain, and I sweat a lot from taking it. Does anyone else have this? The med works to take some edge off the pain, but I'm constantly sweating, gggrr."

For Chronic Pain "I have been struck with horrible chronic pain from PLDS (Post-Lyme Disease Syndrome). First I was prescribed oxycodone. I hated the side effects: apathy, brain fog, severe constipation, sweats, nausea, headaches. I was miserable. I fired my pain doctor and signed up for a Chronic Pain MAT program. They prescribed Belbuca, and I’m very satisfied with my experience. It helps with pain as well as the oxycodone did, but the apathy and brain fog are pretty much gone. On my correct dose, I have no nausea, headaches, or other icky side effects. I’m free from the endless rollercoaster of pain and withdrawals between doses, and having to make sure I have opiates with me at all times just in case. A word of caution regarding the bad reviews: some of them may not have given the medication enough time to find the right dose for them. For others, it may not work, but for me, Belbuca controls pain and doesn’t make you high - to me, that’s a good thing. I can be a full participant in my life again."
